Greeting you a HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN's DAY, to all the wonderful women of this platform! #BreakTheBias is the international theme for this year's celebration. I was reminded of this occasion when I saw these huge streamer one hanging at the facade of our Capitol building and the other, outside the mall. "Agenda ng kababaihan tungo sa kaunlaran." (AGENDA OF WOMEN TOWARD DEVELOPMENT.) is the theme that is given by our local government as we join the world in honoring all women with the hashtag #WomenMakeChange. Acknowledging the strength of women not as a threat (to men's ego) but rather as a dynamic component (ally) of a complementarity of growth to achieve a more humane society, may somehow helps in breaking the biases showed toward them (women). ‼️ TRIVIA: Did you know? That International Men's Day on the contrary is celebrated every 19th of November? It was initiated by Dr. Jerome Teelucksingh, Professor of History, University of the West Indies in Trinidad and Tobago, in remembrance of his father's birth anniversary.
