•The Lynx• Hey arachnophiles out there, this one's for you. Found this cringey looking spider hiding in the foliage of our 𝙨𝙖𝙢𝙗𝙤𝙣𝙜 (blumea balsamefera) plant. Its strange spiky legs drew my interest that I instantly googled it out. I actually counted its legs because I wasn't sure if it was an arachnid or an insect. The difference between the two lies in the number of their legs, the former has eight compared to the latter which only has six legs. I learned that it is called the striped Lynx spider. It is a generalist predator which got its name from that wild cat (Lynx) because of its catlike hunting behavior. They may look vicious but are harmless to humans. 🕷🕷🕷 📸 My snaps of some striped Lynx spiders in the green foliage. #arachnids #macroshot #vrphotography©️
