Is There an Ideal Age to Married?

Marriage is one something many people would want to experience, we look forward to that big day when we get to tie the knot with the person we love so much and want to spend the rest of our lives with.  Before going into marriage, there are lot of factors one should consider as marriage ain't something you can just walk into without adequate preparation, for better for worse is the language. In a typical African setting, time would come when the pressure to get married and settle down will begin to Dawn on you from your family and those around you.  For the men this happens mostly between the age of 28 to 40 within this range of age as a man it is expected of you to have settled down and started making plans of having your own family. For ladies, between the ages of 25 to 30 that's when the pressure to find a good suitor begins, most people around you would begin to ask questions as to when you're getting married if you're within this age grade. So this made me wonder if actually age should be the major determining factor for marriage.  Why has the society created such mindset among people? There are many other factors to put into consideration before harbouring the thought of getting married, and age should be the least of it. People shouldn't be reminded of how they're getting old and need to get married. It's so wrong I think. What are your thoughts on this?
