Adulting is... Knowing the right shade of lipstick Changing your hair color Wearing 3-inch heels Fussing over daily attires It's about trying new resto's And foods you could only look back in high school And knowing your budget And deductions and taxes And it's more complicated Like knowing what not to say And all those unwritten rules And being selfish and selfless at the same time You gotta know responsibilities Whilst thinking of the future And noticing that Time is so much faster now Adulting is so much harder Than what my younger self ought it to be Realizing that having a job Doesn't solve everything And there's self-control And there's management You gotta fix yourself too While you're at it And fear grows twice faster than age The things you don't know scares you The future, the people around you The dissappointments, the expectations You'll wish to escape You'll wish to turn back time But time cannot turn back And moving forward is the choice you have. Comfort yourself if you must Life goes on till we turn to dust Until then accept life And all the things that come to pass by VannQwerty h.s.t.
