The place where FIAT money transfers are the same with crypto
It is happening. Not once, or twice, but many times. Who didn't make at least one wrong bank transfer to somebody who didn't need to receive it?
Indeed, everyone could have this kind of issue.
**But what about transferring almost 1 billion $ by mistake?!!**
Well, this must be painful. For all, except the ones who received it, of course :).
This happened to Citibank and a trial followed, but the first sentence is in the favor of the receivers.
The bank acted as a loan agent for Revlon, the makeup producer, and it should pay 8 million $ as interest for the company's lenders. Well, by mistake, we still don't know why, instead of paying the interests only, the Citibank staff transferred all the debt.
So, almost 900 million $ were wired and only a part of the receivers agreed to give it back. More than 500 million $ remained uncovered.
Why? You can ask. It is a bank transfer, not like in crypto, when if you sent some coins, that's it, an irreversible way (of course, excepting XRP and some other coins/tokens where is possible because of large centralization).
Because in New York state, it seems that it is an exception from the rule of punishing people who is spending the money accidentally landed in their pockets - **"discharge-for-value-defense"**.
So, if you are a lender for somebody and he pay you the whole amount of the debt, even is sooner than the maturity of the credit, you are entitled to keep the whole amount if you didn't know they were sent to you by accident.
"If the beneficiary is entitled to the money and did not know it was accidentally wired, they can keep it. Revlon lenders said they believed Citibank was wiring prepayments for a loan. After all, the money accidentally wired was the exact amount "to the penny" Citibank owed them, although the loan wasn't set to mature for quite some time."

**What can we learn from this?**
Be careful what you do, measure twice, double twice and cut one single time, because the cut is the most important part, because it is (almost) irreversible.

New wave of whale investments are moving to Binance

I was noticed about large amounts of money going to Binance from Tether Mintery and Coinbase Exchange, the largest from the US.
This is telling me that the investor from all around the world are preparing to jump into one of the largest pools of Altcoins to play with it.
This is why BTC and also USDT are sent to this exchange, so you need to be prepared to see large amounts of coins going up and down from the top 100 Alts.
I don't know where my bets are going. Maybe to the ones not pumped already too much, like Tezos (oh, few minutes ago was 4.07 $, now it's 4.52 $).

These are only few ways of torture without physical pain, but I can assure you, sometimes, more painful than the first category.
But what about this:

I recently read an article about what countries has the "honor" to have the most willing to get drunk citizens.

I am not discussing here if they respect the statistic techniques, I hope so, but I am interested now about what can they "produce" and could be funny even for entertainment.

The survey was made on 25 countries and 90 000 persons. I don't have enough data to know if the same number of subjects were questioned in each country (keeping the proportions with the total population from that country vs other countries), but:
it seems the people from England and Scotland have the most acute drunk wish - 34 times in a year, vs the european average of 21 times/year (well - 2 times/month - it is much or not?)
but the second and the third place is taken by Aussies - with 32 times drunk states/year, and Danish and Finnish people (I can't blame them, with the messy weather out there) - with 31 and 30 drunkenness/year
and, not too far, Americans and Canadians - 27 times to get lost/year, and French and Irish people - 26 times
I am not sure why the Irish guys are so far from the other Brits, but that's the
survey.
I am not here to discuss why the people feel the need to get drunk. Could be a part of socializing, where everybody is drinking and even if you don't want to, it is possible to left the stage of reality at a certain (even short) moment.
Somebody is drinking of joy, other, because of sadness, loneliness, to forget, etc
Never mind. What can I say is - don't mix the drinks. Otherwise, you could drink to forget, but you will never forget the headache the drink made it to you.

Maybe they are eating too much and forgot about it. Here is the data. We could see also women, men, young and mature people here.
It seems, a third of the drunken boys felt sorry after getting drunk (I am sure that not immediately, but the next day - remember the headache and mixing the drinks?).

I cannot argue with that.
But where I am surprised: Russia and Poland. They are not so "drinking 'till the end" amateurs, but this could be maybe because of their training to drink, so it is possible to make disappear a much bigger quantity of alcohol, but with not so much damages to their waking state like in other countries.

I lost today 3 BTC
This is a true story, but it is not like a bad trading or something similar, instead, this is what was happened:
I work with some farmers among other things and the period of fertilizing the soil is approaching very fast. So, I had some negotiations with some of them for supplying with solid fertilizers.
I studied the wholesale prices, I knew the deposits were short because the imports were suspended and I found a good one that could make for the farmer a 9 000 $ less costs than the next cheaper seller. I made the offer Thursday for 700 to of fertilizers.
**The catch**
This is what you could apply anywhere:
When something is lacking, the price will grow.
So, instead of blocking the total quantity available (I could take 1200 to), I waited for the client's confirmation.
And this came today, along with another request from another farmer.
I was happy to close the deal, but when I called to sign the contract, I was told that the price raised with 75$/to. So I needed to cancel all the negotiations. :(
I said 3 BTC? 3x36000=108.000 $
1200 to x 75$ = 90.000 $ (oh, less than 3 BTC, my mistake). And this in only 5 days.
How I am feeling?

get immediately what people is looking for, especially when it's lacking
prepare for this (make a good contract for preventing defaults - if the seller doesn't want anymore to give the merchandise to you at the established price because now is 15% higher)
try to forecast by the history, when are the best periods to make the contracts for buying those goods, because in agriculture there are cyclic events
Don't be like me, be smart. Learn from my mistakes!
And this learning are applied in any domain, even in crypto. So, watch for the opportunities and grab them, not wait for confirmations when you know you are right!

At first, I thought it is something wrong with my phone, but then I looked better and I saw it was an 1200 % pump in few minutes. Of course, you couldn't get it in it's high, but at 400% it was possible.
Too bad for me, because I had at staking some 25k coins, so I could have a very nice profit, but that's life: some ore with hard work (research, invest, etc) and some are with conspiracies, in this case - Pump and Dump Groups.
It seems the action came from a group on Discord and then was dissipated to many others.
My conclusions:
**do not participate in this Groups** - they often buy the coin few days before and organize a huge pump when the sell orders are few for throwing all that coins to the naive persons who see the pump and want to catch the train
all you can do is to put some high selling limit orders when you sleep, eventually combined with a stop limit (in Binance - this type of order is named OCO (One Cancel Other)
Don't be sorry you missed it. It's not the first, it's not the last, but it's important to stay away. Follow my second recommandation.
Last words: PNT is a very good project, I am staking it and I will leave it there 18 months more since now. I am building profits on long term. Smaller, but safer.

Well, that movie made me think about this title for this case:

Why am I looking at it?

I wrote yesterday about a moment of stopping shorting BTC and going in the boat of uptrend because of a 400 million $ new minted on Tether project.
Well, according to it and probably because of our new financial Guru - Elon Musk (don't take it literally everyone is only a man and could be mistaken) - which twitted something with Bitcoin - the price of it is keeping going up.
Well, today, few our ago, another round of big money is minted, even bigger than the yesterday's round.
Please take in consideration that these two amounts are the biggest ones from what was minted in the last two days, but other 58 million, or other small amounts were minted on PAX, USDC, BUSD or other stable coins platform.

So, more than 1 billion in less than 24 hours to be pumped in the crypto market for ... you guessed, buying crypto. And what do you think will be the first assets targeted?
Of course, BTC and ETH. Than, top 20 to 50 + some DeFi.

what is stopping me shorting BTC for a while?
Since Sunday, almost all indicators looked for a bearish moment of BTC, so I got out in stable coins. I was right, until yesterday night, when some alerts made me understand that a little grow is coming.
I don't say the mid-term trend is not bearish anymore. A just say it will be some opportunities for some small gains, but in time could be helpful.
What is distracting me from keep shorting BTC? I sold it at 34 k and it dumped until 29 k. The normal direction is lower, but look what I noticed:
**This is an important indicator for what could happen in the market. Why?**
Because it is part of Fundamental Analysis, and when a new 400 million dollars is coming into market, the price will go up. My expectations is to 5-7% for BTC/ETH, at least.
Anyway, this kind of event could reverse a trend, but it's important to evaluate the impact on the market. Few months ago, 100 million could have the same effect, but now, when the price of BTC is 3-4 times greater, is not so easy to move the quotations.

Since my childhood, my option for judging how somebody is dealing with the truth didn't modify. For me, it was simple: if you are not telling the truth,
you are lying, so - a minus from me.
But, it is really this way how things should be evaluated?
I am still not sure how to look at this, but my point of view is a little more flexible.
Here is why:
Look at his case: playing games - from poker to chess ...
or contact sports - like football, handball, ...
even fights:
In all this situations, one player (or team) is trying to take a better position versus the other. How?
By developing a strategy:
- sometimes is like gambit in chess - when you seemed to loose a piece, but in fact you take a better general position on the table
- or in boxing: when a player is showing he wants to punch on the upper side to force the other to raise the guard and let the downside uncovered, where the kidneys are.
We can accuse those players of cheating? Maybe tricking, but in a fair manner. We will not despise them, it's not like scoring in football with the hand, or getting the ball after it crossed the outer line. Only in this case we will consider those players as a cheaters.
**So, what is the correspondent in real life to "the tricking" in sport and what is "the cheating" ?**
Here is where I am stuck:
If I hear on TV a press conference and I know that the truth is other than what it's said, should I think that all is a lie, "a cheating" ?
Should I spurn that person? Should I?
**I think the answer is to look at the context.**
For example: a crime is happened.
We hear on TV: we still don't have a clue who the criminals are or where they should be now, we are working hard to find clues, etc...
In the same time, maybe you have a friend who knows more and can tell you the police is having more than enough evidences for arrest the criminals and already identified who are those. Of course, if you are the criminal and find from radio that you are identified, you will be three times more careful than if you know you are safe until now because the police doesn't have a clue who you are.
So, the police is trying to trick the criminals for getting closer to them without getting their attention.
And this is one of the cases when we can hear something different for what we know the truth should be.

Escape from the your life's cage
I recently saw an Indian movie on Netflix and I must admit is the second from this country in less than a month.
I know it's late, but the first one (oh, no! I've seen Indian movies before, but when I was a child and probably were too few movies to choose from) was Slumdog Millionaire.
I must admit I wasn't a fan because their low quality of especially how are
they made and filmed and others has also sound and acting issues.
I tried to watch an entirely movie on Bollywood TV, and action movie something between Rambo, Transporter, Pay it Forward and more other Hollywood movies, something like clones in crypto, where successful projects are copied in hoping of getting some (at least on short time) benefits for these "original" entrepreneurs.
I couldn't. The main character was so powerful, merciful, macho, vigilante and smart and good at everything that even the staff behind the filming scene couldn't resist to him.

The name is related to the rarity of this kind of animal and it's about the chances for a poor guy from an indian village to become rich and escape from his cage.
The story is showing us the life of a (very) poor indian family from a village where the rich people is collecting the money from the all families from the village and they can kill those men, women and children without any penalty.
Of course, the police is corrupt, the authorities are also linked by the money received from this rich people, so there is no chance to escape.
What can a poor kid do to run from here, make more money and avoid being married with a girl he didn't see until the wedding day?
First - he needs to be ambitious
Second - smart enough to know what he can do without being chased away

Third - **immoral**
And this is the key point: by having the first two points a poor kid could become a modest employee in a large city and maybe, in time, could buy a small cottage and have a family, but never, never, could become rich.
What is the main factor that trigger the third point? The judgement (and, justified, by the way) that rich people are becoming like that by stealing from the poor ones.
How? By avoiding to pay taxes, bribing politicians and make their businesses in the easy way.
So, why could they steal and we cannot take back what is ours, anyway?
Unfortunately, our hero is right, but his actions are not.
It is a vicious circle and it's hard to escape from it. Steal or be robbed. Kill or be killed...
But nowadays we still have a chance for changing this cycle.

being in the right moment and the right place

if in the last year we weren't sure if we are in a bull market or not, I think since BTC is over 30 k $, there are no doubts left about it.
But, what a weird behavior! Why isn't every coin pumping like the previous time, when any new day meant another 15% or 40% gain and the only sad thing was the wrong choice of the coin and others grew more than yours?
Maybe the time passed is making us (the whales, to be more specific) a little cautious and we prefer to stay in the most important ones (BTC & ETH). And this is happening in the first phase of a bull run. After that, if the price is going to stay high and BTC is playing sideways, then, the next wave of coins is starting to pump - the top 50, because there is need of liquidity for whales to play with millions.
Of course, this is another issues for the market that obstruct it to grow: if a multi billion dollars fund is trying to play in crypto market, it cannot sell all it's investments without making a big dump in the market. And they don't want to lose money. The FOREX market is at least 1000 times bigger than crypto. That's why we have a long way to go until we will play in the big league.
That's the context. But what is the good part of the story?
Well, I have a friend who even doesn't know what the crypto mining means, nor what a blockchain is. Does it mean he cannot make money in crypto market?
Hell no!
Why?
Because he is a business man! He doesn't care how the process works as long as it produces money for him. So, He was at a meeting with other businessmen and he heard about buying some computers who make something (doesn't matter what) and could bring you some good money in the future.
A good businessman is a person of action and the intuition is a big part of the decision, so, he did it. He spent 50 k $ ask his friends to buy some computers for him also to join in their mining group.
After 3 years, he mined 300 ETH and, surprise, the price grew to 1100 $. Of course, as a rational person, he sold 100 to 980 $ and 100 with 1150 $, taking back in that way his investment, but also keeping some ETH for future grow.
Even if the price is dumping, he recovered his investments and energy spendings and got also a big profit, so he is cool with any situation.
Conclusion is: it doesn't matter if you are specialized in something or not, it is important only to be open minded and ask the help of qualified people for technical details, but the decision is in your hands.
My suggestion is to search of what is next train of crypto and not only. Maybe ETH mining has only few months left, so you need to find other opportunities.
So, pay attention of what is near you, what should be the future and try to get a piece from it right now!

Why am I happy when my BCH portfolio value is decreasing
It should be odd for being happy for this reason, but I am, and this is what I expected for a while.
There are many strategies in developing a portfolio in trading - from an medium risk Dollar Cost Average to one shot blind investment in an ICO/IEO, etc
Every type of strategy has advantages and bad parts, but not all are fitting with your personality, so before choosing one of this, you should study if you are comfortable with it, otherwise you will change your mind and your decisions and your plan is going to disappear, and this is much worse than having none ore sticking with it.
We are talking now about BCH. Since few days ago, my value of portfolio in BCH was decreasing by almost 15%. It is much, it is less? Depends.
It depends of the term you have in consideration for investing in it, the amount, the plan with this crypto, the type of strategy you chose, etc
What can I tell you why am I happy now is because I started to write recently on this platform and even I am not 100% convinced about, I will try to have my place in #club1BCH.
Why, because is a personal ambition, and like other coins I kept in my portfolio - SNX (bought at 0.42$ in march 2020), or QRL (bought in may at 0.09 $) or NANO (bought at 0.9$) - I think the time of BCH to rise and shine could be sooner or later, but it will be.
So, I am writing. Yes, I will try to share my crypto experience. I have couple of years here, I know some about how to buy crypto, how to trade, what wallets are useful, what projects are very promising, how to take care of your money, and if you have questions, just shout!
My reason for being happy is because we, the public of @BCH , both, writers and readers, are going to be paid in BCH, so when I see a 0.31$ notification Tip, I will know that over time, it will be much valuable because is in BCH, lower valued now.

money vs health. could be both possible in the same time?
I was many times wondering why are so many rich people suffering from different diseases, more or less painful or incurable.
Maybe the subject should be clarified: we are talking about the working people, not the lazy ones, nor daddy's girl or boy. Most of them, unfortunately, will become an embarrassment for parents because of their way of acting in public. Of course, there are exceptions, when the young girls and boys are going to be a a nice person in the next years.
Forget about them. I am talking only about the hard work people, which are struggling to realize something with their lives and for their goals they are going to sacrifice any minute of their time, forgetting about eating, family, themselves also.
And, many of them, will succeed! Of course, for becoming a wealthy person, hard work is needed, but this is not a warranty for success, it's only a must. (Again, let's not consider the other way of making money: illegal or by relationships - knowing somebody who could tell us when to deal something, etc)
It is likely to be successful by working day and even night, in weekends, with no holidays, maybe without eating a proper meal and without making exercises for body, But this also could become the start of another consequence of our wish to success. Of course, we are young, we are powerful and we can work a long time without rest.
I think you saw on many places this kind of messages:

What much should we sacrifice for our run to success? How long?
Does it worth it?
You'll got money. You will be successful, a much appreciated person and well honored in your circle and not only. And maybe your kids will look at you like a stranger, because you didn't have time to spend with them. Or maybe your wife is gonna divorce you because you didn't pay attention to her.
This is that could hurt you in your soul and it is bad. But what about the ill you'll get after many years when you didn't care about your body?
How to deal with it? Of course, you have money, you will live in fancy and expensive hospitals, but there are hospitals, at least.
So, you will be alone and seek and even no memories to share, but the time you spent for building your success...to what?
The last words: look in the future. Try to see what is really important to carry in the last years of your life: the big fortune, the family, the health, the happy holidays...
Only after a profound judgement I will advice you to take action.

I rather prefer to be like me, with nothing (until now) similar to your situation, but I should learn something from your story. If not, it means I am twice fooler and I deserve my place at the stupid's table.
Anyway, my plan is to hold a part of my portfolio without selling no matter what, because you don't know when the wave of pump is coming and you could remain without your coins.
It happened to me at least once, so I don't want to repeat it. Even last year, with only 2000 $ in my coins, I could have now more than 500 k. It's not enough? For me is.
So, now I still keep a part of my bags untouched. Coins like SNX, STX, XTZ, SXP, PNT, TRB, MWAT are long term investments and carry big hopes with it.
Of course, I have more in my watch list, but if the investment is less than 1000 $, doesn't worth to be mentioned.

a big confirmation for the solid Fundamentals of this Energy Based Project
As a confirmation of my confidence in this project, I read this announcement few days ago and I will make an analyse of what should we expect from this:

**Effects:**
MWH/year - 500 (developed until 2025 - 100 new MWH production/year)
GTK/year - assuming an 10 hr/day production with 250 days/year = 500*10*250=1,25 mil GTK - only from this investment
**How could be this cuantified in value?**
We will take a very possible scenario for the next year:
no of MWAT tokens to stake: 350 mil of 500 mil (70% of total supply)
GTK/MWAT - 1,25 mil / 350 mil = 0.003 GTK/MWAT
price of GTK could be somewhere between 25 $ and 35 $ => 0.09 $/ MWAT (after the full capacity deployed). That means, after first year - only 0.02$, the second year - 0,04 $, etc
price of MWAT at a 30% ROI - if I will receive 0.02 $/year and this incomes are increasing month by month, I will be glad to buy MWAT with 0.06 $, because a 30% ROI is very nice. But in the next year I wil pay even 0.12 $ if I will receive 0.04 $, going to 0.27 $ after 5 years.
So, even the price is not going to grow, I will be more than glad to buy cheap tokens to benefit for this incomes. Now the price is around 0.004 $, so I will have a 500% more incomes in maybe 2 years. For me is enough.
Please study, make your research, see if the project is going on it's path and after that take your decisions.

AMPL 0.80 $ exchange price vs Oracle's 24h avg of 0.974 $. What's next move for traders?
Oh, I just checked the prices because I wanted to make an experiment, to see what it should be done with AMPL to increase the value of the portfolio.
**So, first, I need to study the facts:**
my inputs - how many AMPL I have now: 100
the actual kucoin exchange price: 0.81 $ - 11 january 2021, 09:31 A.M. UTC
the oracle (24h average) price: 0.974 $ - at 11.jan.2021, 09:31 A.M. UTC
total AMPL circulating supply: 375.78 mil AMPL
price history vs last 24 h: -17% (was 1.0088 $)
Now, what is the next move?
**How could be the average price until next morning at 02:00 A.M. UTC:**
A. bigger than actual average and target price
B. bigger than actual average, but still lower than target price
C. the same with actual average
D. lower than actual average
These are the possible options now.
Which will be the most probable?
**I think it will be D. - lower than yesterday, so - the next action should decrease the number of AMPL tokens to reduce the offer for selling.**
The question is - how low it will be?
And now we have unlimited responses, but the most viable are:
only maximum 3 %
between 3-15 %
more than 15%
**How the rebase process will act:**
In the first case, I don't think something will happen
In the second, **a max of 5% of circulating supply will be erased** from our portfolio, so I will have 95 AMPL instead of 100
In the third case, we could expect at maybe 10-15% decrease of tokens, but divided in few days and the process will be canceled if the price is recovering.
**Why is this important for trading?**
Because we need to evaluate how is better for us: we should sell before rebase or not?
And we need to make some evaluations to predict the most possible scenario:
we sell now at 0.80 $
we try get a better price until the rebase
we wait the rebase and a decrease of our AMPL tokens with max 5%
**Update:**
I waited for the next day to see what is happening:
as I expected - it was a rebase and the supply was going from 375.78 mil to 367.82 mil ( a decrease of 2.11%) - seen also in my portfolio
the price grew until 0.88 and now is 0.82
So, the best solution was to sell until 01:00 at best price possible (maybe a 0.86 $ is safe), wait for rebase and maybe a drop in price and then come back in AMPL
Less is more, now than ever
I am in crypto world for more than 2 years now and I started easy, with buying some BTC. After a week, it felt from 5000 $ to 4200 $. A good start :). And then, down to a minimum of 3150 $ in December, 17. But I was not keeping BTC without trying to multiply my portfolio, so I start trading it vs other coins or a stable coin (later, in mid of 2019).
My trades were mixed, some were successful, some not. The point is the loses were bigger than the gains, because, first, BTC started to grow a little in march of 2019, and I tried to ride the wave and enter in some Altcoins. But, from here, BTC grew more agressive and Altcoins stopped gaining in value and kept theirs in $ while decreasing vs BTC. This happened until BTC touched almost 9600 $ in summer and started to fall from that price.
What the Alts did? Felt from USD value, which was relatively stable until then. So, in autumn, I was also in loss in BTC value by far and also in USD.
And this, after a long string of trades.
This is so frustrating...
So, I did my math. We are in the beginning of 2021. If I gather all my FIAT invested in crypto and I convert it in BTC at the course when I invested it, I see that doing nothing but keeping only BTC I am three times richer than now. :)
So, guys (most of us) - let the few traders who know what is risk/reward and technical analysis - do their job and we should concentrate in investing in BTC and ETH (but not now, maybe after it will go back at least to 10 k for BTC and 300 $ for ETH. Some percents of our portfolio could be gambling, but no more that 20%.
Less trades, more gains on long terms. For most of us.

BTC vs Alts
Some of us know that in crypto it's a wise strategy to hodl most of your portfolio in king of crypto coins: BTC and in number 2 of crypto: ETH. How much? It is ok to follow the market share. So - if BTC has 61% market share from total Market Cap of crypto - you should follow the same proportions with your portfolio. The same with ETH. The rest could be other coins. If you did it – CONGRATULATIONS! You could watch us with pride.
Of course, nowadays could be a little too late. You could wait for a pullback and try to follow this strategy.
If you tried to catch only the Altcoins game of up and downs, like many others (including me), you could observe how easy a bullish situation could turn into a bearish one in minutes: BTC felt two times in these days, from almost 34 k to 28 k (almost 20%) and from 41 k to 38 k. We are talking about the most important coin of crypto, the most capitalized one, with more than 60% market share!
Like I said, in no more than few minutes, FOMO was transformed in FUD and everybody (bot) tried to escape from the downward spiral and get away as soon as it could by selling their holdings for waiting to enter a little lower.
And it wasn't necessary to have too much BTC for selling to create this despair.
So, welcome to present crypto world – anything could be changing in minutes and everything could go UP or … worse – DOWN.
What I am trying to do in this kind of situations? I establish some selling/buying targets, see where the market is going (for example, in Binance you could use OCO orders instead of the simple ones) – if the price is going up , but with low volumes, an immediate DUMP is possible, or, the reverse, if the price is going down with low volumes, a Bullish Divergence is likely possible to show.
Try to study the concepts of BULLISH and BEARISH DIVERGENCE, make your Support and Resistance lines and look where the price is going. Trade in steps, to avoid a total exit from your favorite coin or minimize a possible dump.
Yes, nobody could pretend to see the future, but we can protect from a massive change of situation
