Finally concluded the two weeks youth summit here in Lanao del Norte and North Cotabato. The two weeks was filled with various life skills training and workshop and concluded with a team building. Around 60 youth benefitted the said summit. Attached photos are the Culmination of the said event. Gladly the venue was held at Lanao del Norte where signal is pretty much cooler than cotabato. After the heavy work for the whole week, the team can finally rest a bit. It was a good and product week in tee community. Was able to aid and support various groups from different age level and background. Time to deal with some body pain and minor cuts and bruises during the hike and travel to the community. Often times I couldn't find the answer why human sort to violence and war. Often times I can't understand why they (rebels/local inspired terrorist) go such length harming their fellow brethren in faith and fellow country men. It really pain the deepest core of my being. Working in a war torn community with depress individuals, groups and families can be draining and stressful as you might unconsciously absorb their indirect trauma, stress, anxiety and depression. Not being cautious could lead you to a vulnerable situation and condition of your well being both inside and out. With this at hand, sometimes a good buddy who listen to yah reduce such stressor surrounding you. Thats all for for now. Back to service and wanted to say. As Ramadan approach more and more insurgencies activities are sprouting which hamper the daily activities of the moro brethren. This insurgencies activities are fatal and chaotic to the lives of many particularly the humanitarian workers who are serving the affected individuals, families, and communities. Still shaking after a IED explode near the supplemental feeding area which brought fear, anxiety, depression to children and adults. Let's stay safe in this perilous times. The tension and pressure at work is pretty draining and exhausting to the point, the team barely have enough time to rest and eat on time due to the huge demand from it. But despite all this, we are still blessed and fortunate to be alive, well, and able to send smiles to the people whom we served who are more in a depressing situation and condition at this point of time. Happy morning to all. Rise up and let's prep for the coming activities today. This year will be a busy time for the humanitarian team particularly the rehabilitation team. More activities will be done in the for a longer period of time (probably around 3-4 months) specifically the third and fourth quarter the year where the team will spend most of their time, effort, energy, strength and focus in the remote communities under the rehabilitation project. Thats all for now, time to fix the bed, grab some warm coffee, get some cold shower, wear appropriate protective gears, packed all necessary items in the bags and off the team go to the field. Hello Buddies and Friends Good to hear from you all again. Holyweek just ended with sad reality due to the family and relative conflict in terms of politics (Barangay Election). An paradise expected vacation turn to a disaster reality. Such a pity and frustrating turn of event during my short break from work. Wasn't able to update you and this platform as my province is part of the undeveloped communities in bukidnon which is behind from the current modernisation. Thats it for now. Time to continue the journey heading back to cotabato from the bukidnon bus terminal after riding a arduous five hours habal-habal ride (motorcycle ride). The school are finally getting back to its functional form. Seen in this photos are salvage books for kids the community center. Most of the books are severely damage and only this books are readible. With this tee children will have a new hope to continue their learning and study. The image below depicts the moro people striving hard to source out possible supplies that will aid their fellow brethren from various faith who are also broken from the devastating situation they are in. Mindanao is filled with localised armed conflict, family feud, power tripping and power abuse, localised bird flu epidemic and never ending natural disaster. Its really exhausting but we swore an oath and we will continue to uphold it. Some might see it foolish and stupid, but that's how we see our life direction. Good to see you all here. Poor signal is pretty much disappointing on our side particularly the undeveloped areas in Mindanao that has poor connectivity with the mainstream line. Thats all for now.
