While taking a hydration break allow me to share with you the photo footage of the hike made by the volunteers. It was a back breaking hike as the load started to gain additional weight as rain started visiting us during our hike. The volunteers pass through a small creek to fine potable spring water as most of our water is already gone due to the extreme heat earlier. The second photo is the uncharted trail the volunteers must navigate to reach the community. It's unpaved as the stable trail is filled with rushing water from the mountains. Our two minute break is over we need to start hiking again while the next group behind us will take a break as well. We will push forward to reach the community after lunch. The volunteers will descend down from the uphil and reach the mirao river and cross it to arrived at Sitio Simontanan. I hope my shoes won't break as my shoes are showing sign of weakening after 7 years of service. Let's hope for the best.
