Spring is here!
Those around the world will be seeing the beginning of a new season today and I can not tell you what joy it is to welcome Spring! I live in far south Victoria, Australia and while some imagine Australia to be desert with red dirt and a lot of it is, a lot is tropical, but I live in the coldest part closest to the Antarctic and it has been a bloody cold winter. I have battled my awful all over body Dermatitis that seems to be triggered at winter, and it don't stop, I've come to the conclusion that wood fires, dry heat, dry cold and dust mites are my enemies, I do have a dust mites allergy and those of you that have a wood fire know the blanket of dust they create over everything so I will be glad for the warmer weather and to stop using the wood 🔥 fire. Sure they are lovely and cosy in the winter months, lovely to look at but when you have a skin Dermatitis/eczema they can make you miserable. I'm determined to find a different heating source as I never had this skin disorder until we moved into a house with a wood heater 5 years ago, and I'm dreading next winter already. My own other options are to move to the tropics, find a not so expensive electric heating, we don't have gas so that puts has heating out of the question.

Delicious Corn 🍞 Bread Recipe
This recipe is so delicious, you can add anything on top of the main ingredients, I chose Bacon, cheese, red onion, garlic, chives and thyme but you can try anything that suits your taste palette.
The main ingredients are:
1 and a half cups of self raising flour
1 x 420 gram tin of creamed 🌽 corn
Mix these 2 together then add your choice of extras, put in loaf tin lined with baking paper, cook for around 30 min at 180 degrees celsius, I'm Australian so I'm not sure on farenheit temperature so just Google that:)
Serve with your favorite soup, I made a hearty vegetable, it's Winter here so perfect meal:)

Online Gambling
So the land based casinos are shut and for those who enjoy a bit of a flutter have probably trolled the net for some online gaming, I have read lots of reviews on sites before I jump in but oh how I can't stand their silly player bonuses, they really are a complete rort, so that's one thing I discovered, forget the bonus when depositing, say you deposit $30, you may get a bonus of $9.00, the play through will be around $900 or more if you do win. Anyways over the last few weeks I tried my luck at 6 different online casinos, 5 of them including 1 that is meant to be number 1 just didn't do anything oh except took my money then kept emailing or ringing my phone with more silly bonus deals, the 6th one I love and actually won and had the winnings transferred to my account within 2 days, so they are not all rouge's, just very hard to sift through the good and the bad, but yeah skip the bonus, I'm happy to have found 1 casino where once a week I sit in my PJ's in iso and still enjoy a fun gamble:)

To iron or not to iron.
I'm talking face masks, you can never have enough, but I find that certain fabrics crinkle after washing especially calico, so I'm ironing mine and why wouldn't you, you iron your hankies don't you? Lol funny how they have become the must have fashion accessorie, but also keeping us safe:) Don't forget to also wash and sterilize your hands and stay the bugger at home when you can, anyway I love home, but I'm fortunate to live on a farm with plenty of paddocks to roam, Alpacas, Cows and Sheep to talk to:)
Thoughts while in the supermarket.
A discussion with my Mother on our daily calls was about the economy during this pandemic, with the capital city in stage 4 lock down and the rest of the state at stage 3. So it was in the supermarket the thought hit me, every product line available, in good supply, someone's making them, they certainly ain't making themselves, so there's factory's all still in operation, taxes are getting payed there and on the food we buy, supermarket workers, hospital workers, Police, truck drivers etc etc are all still paying taxes. Ciggerettes, Alcohol these have huge tax mark ups and they are still selling. The only industry which has taken a huge battering is the Travel and Tourism industry and sadly small business such as cafes, restaurants etc. You can't help but feel sadness for every empty motel you drive past, every shop closing down in the non essential business catorgory. Seems like it's all a dream, all those big cruise ships sitting empty all over the world when last year they were never ending itineraries to browse and book, or land based holidays, flights non stop. If someone said to you last year this is how the world would be now you just couldn't fathom it but here it is, my favourite holiday destination Vanuatu seems so out of reach not to mention the sadness I feel for the locals there who relied on the cruise ships visiting for income.
