One thing in crypto is that, there is no 100%,especially if you are trading or investing . Be prepared to loose as well as you prepare to win. You can only assume what might happen but you can't be certain. It's all risk, but as a learned trader you are taking more of calculated risk than blind risk. Still, No matter how good you are, no matter your knowledge in trading or investing, you will loose many and also win many. The idea is to win more than you loose at the end of the day. Overall, I still think, in crypto, you have one of the best opportunities to make money.

We can not predict market, because its unpredictable better to prepare ourselves for losing or winning
I am still quite a bit on the fence whether or not crypto is even a thing five years from now. We shall see. Only time will tell.
Crypto has been there for over a decade, I strongly see it even going stronger in years to come. A lot is happening around it that you can't just wish away
In the investment world, a decade is nothing. A mere blip. Consider that the stock market is over 400 years old. Gold has traded since the beginning of man practically. Other commodities like corn and other grown things have been around for thousands of years. I am not poo-pooing crypto. But 13 years that it has been around does not guarantee it will be around 13 years from now, especially considering massive slow adoption and all the problems with it so far. By investment standards, crypto is far from proven as a viable asset.
I agree with you 100% bro. Like I will always say, nothing is given . Going By your own assertions, anything can fail. The thing is for one to choose what they have strong faith in or rather most comfortable with. Trading crypto, I know I am taking some form of risk, but I think I am quite comfortable investing in it. I have seen plenty of things to make me believe it will be here for a long time. But then it's still 50/50 I try to be safe by investing more in the major cryptos. Even that too is not a guarantee. But am OK with it. Probably that's why there is always a caveat, "invest what you can afford to loose" Crypto is still evolving, adoption is a bit slow, but I still believe it will catch up.
"Invest what you can afford to lose" is certainly an investment tenet of mine as well. Although, I can better determine what my risk actually is as well as the real value of any stock way better than I can assess a single cryptocurrency. So, the risk, for me, is simply far greater since there is very little information to go on. Even gold at least has value just beyond its price. It is used in all sorts of manufacturing applications as well as being jewelry. Most assets have something tangible that backs them up. Even fiat is backed up by GDP. I still invest in crypto. But I use the term "invest" quite loosely since there IS that lack of information. Crypto, to my mind, is more akin to gambling than it is to investing. It's not like slot machine gambling, per se. But more like poker, where you can play a hand a certain way, but you are still playing against the deck ultimately. When you are investing you have more ability to know exactly what is in the deck and where the cards are because you were able to determine the sequence of the cards.
"Crypto, to my mind, is more akin to gambling than it is to investing" Hmm, I see. I felt this same way about forex trading initially , but later realised otherwise.. Don't you think most times the things we don't fully grasp looks vague to us. "..... but you are still playing against the deck ultimately" I believe most, if not all, financial investments are actually set up this way. There are a lot of scam in crypto no doubt, but trust me if you do a lot of research and due diligence, you might just change your mind. You might be able to decipher good from bad. I could make some recommendations for you bro and trust me they would pay off, lol
"I felt this same way about forex trading initially , but later realised otherwise.. Don't you think most times the things we don't fully grasp looks vague to us." Yes. Most things are vague until we better understand them. That I agree with. Biut I also think forex is much different than crypto still. Sure, we are talking about currencies. But there is still quite a bit more data available to a forex investor than is available to a crypto trader. Think of it this way. If I am looking into a Mexican peso I can weigh in a lot of factors. What is the strength of the currency I am betting against it? What is the strength of the current currency? What is the country's GDP? What is the country's inflation rate? What conditions are present in the country's foreign relations or in their economy as a whole that could influence a spike or a drop in the value of their currency? How much debt does the country have? What is their central bank doing to direct the currency? How much currency is in supply and at what rate is the country adding to the supply or taking away from it? Again, not poo-pooing crypto, just saying it is, to my mind, not at all the same thing. "I believe most, if not all, financial investments are actually set up this way." Again, I disagree. If I look at XYZ stock I can look at their revenues, their cash flows, any new products in development, the strength of current products in their line, price to earnings ratios, EBITDA, tax obligations, debt obligations, cash on hand and any securities they may hold, 2-year, 5-year and 10-year growth trends, how many employees they have and what the average wages will be and by how much I can expect those wage obligations to grow relative to growth in the revenues, and more particularly relative to their margins. It is still a guess of sorts. But it is a strong guess with lots of data having gotten one to the conclusion, right or wrong. I am simply saying that in my 30+ years of investing, I have never seen anything at all like crypto and none of my investment sense can be applied to crypto at all. In other words, it does not feel, look, nor act like an investment. To me. All that said that COULD just mean I am an idiot. I really don't know. lol
