To be Beautiful is a Consolation of being a Woman(Part-2)
A friend invited me to an FB group exclusive for married people or those living with a partner. At first I enjoyed reading erotic posts and sometimes commenting to topics where only married couples can relate.
One day as I was relaxing in terrace and slowly browsing my phone, one post of a married woman cought my attention. It says" My husband loves me so much because everytime he leaves and arrives home from work,he really hugs and kisses me in the lips even if I'm still smells foul or haven't taken a bath yet from a laborious house chores.I tell you all the ladies out there,if your man is really in loved with you,you don't need to be physical beautiful, fresh & clean for him because he will take you fully as you are."
Ows?Really?I started to browse the crowd's comments on her post.In my calculation 15% was on her point but 85% was against her post.I belong to the 85% .Yes,I didn't help myself but to share a comment too.
This is what I said: To be beautiful is a consolation of being a woman. We are one from the first two human creation of God in the Garden of Eden.We are special and loved by God beyond compare because we are created in His image and likeness;thus, our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. As part of our thanksgiving and humility towards our omnipotent-omnipresent Creator's love,it's imperative to take good care of this life including being healthy and pretty inside & out like holding a precious- fragile expensive diamond entrusted by God in our palms. As a responsible steward of this life it's a responsibility to be beautiful not to please your husband and anybody else.We ought to exercise self-care and love for ourselves in the way pleasing to the Lord."
For the very first time since I started to use social media ,I got 739 thumbs up and 86 replies complementing to my perspective.
Not everyone of us is blessed with external beauty but accepting our weaknesses and boosting our positive qualities are what will make a girl confident enough to say she is beautiful because being one is just a state of mind. What we feel inside will be reflected in our eyes as windows of our soul and be shown in our actions.
Practicing healthy lifestyle perhaps is one way to express our being grateful in life.Eating three times a day, exercising four times a week, minimizing soda drinks and junkfoods, drinking more water ,less liquior and smokes ,getting enough sleep ,plotting positive vibes every waking up in the morning are few suggestive actions for a healthy lifestyle.I adventured for it and it somehow changed my life and way of seeing things difficult in the start but so rewarding at the end.
Thank you for reading guys.

Hello folks!I've been missing you all after couple of weeks of not coming here brought by my very hectic schedule at work.
In my last article I shared to you my teenage identify crisis that caused me so much confusion. After having discerned critically in a " Live-in ,search-in Seminar."I went home with flying colors firmly embracing in my heart the truth that I'm God's masterpiece, one of the first two special world elements He created in the Garden of Eden.
What is a woman?
What are her roles in the world?
Adam was get rid off from paradise because of Eve.
Joseph was imprisoned because of Zulieka.
Antony explained to public because of Cleopatra.
Paris faced a battle because of Helen.
There are so many remarkable events in the history of the world that were caused by a woman.
When a woman becomes pregnant, the world addresses her as the most beautiful creation for she carries two lives inside. When she becomes a mother, geniuses call her "the greatest invented machine in the world" for she gives birth to a new life while her breast will automatically pour out the most nutritious milk in the universe.
A woman can inspire the world or can turn it upside down.
Oh wow!I'm a woman.I'm so proud to be a woman.I'm Gods special creation. My husband fell in-loved with me and so he brought me into a matrimony of marriage. He let me walked in a wide red carpet while dress full in glittering white. We created a happy family.
What is more in me that can be a best expression that I'm grateful in being me?
To be beautiful inside and out is a consolation of being a woman.
When I gave birth to my first baby I started to have stretch marks and baby fats. It's not easy for a woman to undergo many changes physically, emotionally & mentally from becoming a mother.Nursing my first born is not easy, owing to the fact ,that our baby sitter was not staying with us at night.I got eye bugs, increased hip line, heavy body and started to feel a sagged confidence.I felt being so ugly .I become so insecure that I always wanted to check my husband's cellular phone.
My friends thank you for reading my article. Please journey with me in the part 2 of my story ,how did I regain confidence and found out that to be healthy and fit is everybody's responsibility towards ourselves.

Identity Crisis in my Teenage

I grew up in a place where gender doesn't matter when it comes to work.Men and women can all be seen working in the field with equal level of tasks.
We are five siblings in the family with one brother and three sisters.I am second from the youngest.Having one male member in the family my father used to deligate to us equally all tasks in our rice fields like cleaning the "pilapil",throwing fertilizers to each stage of the rice growth, taking care of our carabao" Kadurang" after plowing, and pasturing our other cattles.
I used to play "balsa" in the water, tarzan in the bamboos, hide and seek in the green fields, hunting birds, spiders and even fruits of our neighbors, with my male cousins.I did enjoy moving like a boy and never realized they are all thorns and I'm the only rose.
I never knew before that a lady must put some facial powder,a little something fragrant like perfume in the clothes or even putting something basic in the under arm until I had my first menstruation period ,which become a phenomenal turning point of my teenage.I got self-pity.I wished I'm a boy.Added to my burden when my mother told me to stay away from guys because I'm now a grown up lady who can be an eligible mother if I should wish to.
I finished my secondary and college education being surrounded by lesbians and male friends.Being a lady initiator of one of the prominent fraternities in the campus even boosted my personality that I really want to remain "astig" and dress up like a boy.At night time I hang out with my "barkadas" in the streets with beer and smokes to complete the night.
I started to admire girls and been infatuated to few.Confusion came to me when there was a very persistent guy who woed me.I was infatuated too.Oh God,why am I attracted to both sexes?I started to ponder alone searching for an answers to my confusion.
God has been always good to me.I met a nun who invited me to join a "Live- in search in Seminar," a congregational program helping young ladies to discern on what they really want in life. That seminar helped me a lot by flashing back to me all my childhood pictures and how they affected my personality and point of views.
There are images of my sisters, cousins, aunties, friends and even my mother...being abused and cried for men. They were weak,helpless...and I don't want to be like them because believe I'm strong and wise. There was a part of me telling "I hate men."I will give men revenge in behalf of my loser girls beloved. But on the other side of me,I want to be a man so I won't be hurt like what I've witnessed to the ladies in our race. It's somewhat telling like, since I can't oppose them,I want to be part of them.
Thanks to the Presentation of Mary Sisters for being God's instrument in correcting my way of thinking. They saved me from the total life damage I'm supposed to choose in the future. My identity crisis was only caused by external factors.God's saving grace has restored me to His bossom.
Thank you for reading.Being a newbie here is like an egg newly hatched. Thanks to all friends who continuously give their support to my writings.Be with me in my next article which will reveal how I consider that being pretty is a consolation of being a woman.
In-loved with my Profession (Part-2:The Turning Point)
An old man was sneaking outside the bulb wire perimeter fence of the school, calling the attention of one of my students who is religiously listening to our discussion.During that period, I was conducting a class to a section who occupied the community stage as their classroom, reason why we can easily see who is passing by down the road. The man who was looking famished and drained was carrying an untidy looking lunchbox on his right hand, and an old dirty sack emptied with vegetable on his left.
One student excused himself from me and ran towards the old man and got the lunchbox.I've known from his classmates that Eusebio hasn't eaten any breakfast yet.He was waiting for his father to give him money at recess time,so he can buy something to fill in his empty stomach. His father has to sell vegetables in the "Tabo"(a vernacular term for the traditional meeting where farmers, middle men and sellers market their products)at the upper Sitio to earn money so he could buy rice to cook for his family. But his father did not come for recess, probably Eusebio was already very hungry now. It's 10 minutes to 12:00 noon.Suddenly I felt something inside my heart melting.
Another father arrived. With the kind of motorcycle he is using,I'm sure he is a "Habal-habal" driver. He also stopped near the side of the fence, calling another student from other section. He is the student, who according to their MAPEH teacher, has the remarks as "Severely Wasted"in his Body Mass Index (BMI).Now I know why many of our learners are malnourished. My mind reached my own lunchbox.I have plenty of foods there.I brought them even I know I can't eat all of them.I still full with my snacks eaten last recess time and my stomach is not yet ready to eat lunch.
The strange emotion I felt deep inside me grows even wider. It made my face hot that I needed to go to the toilet to comfort myself. There are tears in my eyes.I wiped them quickly so I can go back to my class instantly.
I SAW ANOTHER PARENTS...ANOTHER STUDENTS...THEY ARE ALL PAIL,THEIR BONY FACES AND EYES ARE LONELY,THEIR ARMS ARE WEAK AND DARK,THEIR CLOTHES ARE OLD AND UNTIDY,THEY ARE HUNGRY...BUT THEIR ACTIONS ARE FULL OF DETERMINATION.THEY ARE STRONGLY DRIVEN BY THEIR AIMS AND ASPIRATIONS AND MOST OF ALL,THEY ALWAYS BELIEVE THAT AFTER ALL THESE TUMULTS AND CRISES,THERE IS A BETTER LIFE AT THE END.
They feeling of pity I had a while ago was changed to embarrassment.I realized they are better persons than me.I easily loose hope;they are strong.I believed it's impossible to change the system;they are constant for their goals of savoring change for the better.I took the routine as compliance;they sent their children to school to the best of their financial capabilities.Because of them,I got the stronghold on the principle:TEACHING IS NOT JUST A PROFESSION BUT A VOCATION.
Being a teacher assigned in a remote critical place is a special pastoral duty to perform. If I cannot change the system,I will start changing the mind of the people who in the future will get into the system. It is the same point telling, "Think globally but act locally."
Now I'm happily teaching in a public school where all students are like my own children,my co-workers as my siblings and my administrators as my parents.
In-loved with my Profession (Part-I)
It was about 10 o'clock in the morning of October 2003 when I received a news from my dearest colleague that we both had passed for the very first time, the Licensure Examination for Teachers(LET)which we courageously taken by August of that same year.Passing the examination for me,means a fulfillment of my childhood dream of becoming a licence teacher,so I can be in the profession of rearing the children about many good things that would equip them to face the realities of the world.
When I was still in my Pre-school age,I and my playmates used to play, "Bahay-bahayan," where I played the role of a mentor and my playmates as my students.I enjoyed a lot acting like a teacher being highly respected by the youths and being a channel of knowledge and wisdom for them like a walking encyclopedia.
As a very young teacher full of dreams, I am embracing in me the pride of a young hero.I cant comprehend why suddenly those great idealism banished when I was hired a permanent teacher under the Department of Education. At first I want to counter-direct from the flow, but I felt I was too weak to survive. For instance hearing my co-workers say, "You are just looking for a burden if you'll read that essay, c'mon just look at the penmanship and put red marks on it." Said by one teacher who is at about the age of 50.
There was one time I forgot to eat lunch, busy computing grades, when one co-worker come to my table and unhesitatingly uttered to me, "Don't compute grades, rather make grades directly and pray, "Our Father," or hearing the most common of all, " Don't conduct class too much, that wont increase your basic salary," and they'll all burst out into laughter.
Little by little, I started to adapt the practice of the majority of the teachers, specially when I was transferred to one of the satellite schools of the town, where very few students are competent, parents are uneducated, and very unfriendly road going to school ,where I have to drive my own motorcycle and fight the very unpredictable weather. The most critical part of being as teacher in a mountainous school,is that we have to pass the barangay where drug addicts and killings are rampant.I reach the point of having in mind, "Resignation" as answer to all these predicaments.
Too tired to teach, too bored to deal with students who cannot even relate with the reality of life in the modern civilization.Too late to educate them on becoming a good citizen and be a good leader in the future, owing to the fact that our society has slowly being devoured by a chaotic system and self-centered leaders.
The zeal of being a young promising teacher has gone in me.My everyday routine has become just for compliance of the responsibility bestowed on me.I teach superficially,no fulfillment, just waiting for the sunset achieving nothing.
One day,I witnessed an incident in school that changed my entire view about my profession and my role in the community.
How can I not be in-loved with my profession?
Read the turning point of my life in the continuation of my article.
Outset of Me
Hello world! Been looking for a place in the social media, where I can freely express myself, meet new friends locally and globally, share my perspectives, learn from others' insights, and most of all away from folks "Marites."
I was born from a middle class family and had experienced all sort of predicaments; reason for me to grow up with a liberated-independent mind.I am highly spirited and always love new adventures. I consider life as my Creator's greatest gift ,and is living it everyday like it's my last day on earth.
I GREW UP IN A PLACE where bombing, ambush, military encounter and dead people lying on streets, had just become an ordinary scenario for the people in my community. My parents told me that the place where I graduated my secondary education, was the 23rd place they've migrated looking for greener pasture and permanent peace and order.
Surmounting my college years had really been a wagon load for me.It's like a playground with black and white spaces, where in just a single wrong reposition, all master plans maybe thrown away. But since "throwing out to the towel" is never a part of my code, I worked and prayed literally hard, and by the grace of God, I surpassed and got my diploma in Bachelors Degree.
When I started my duty as an educator,I looked back from my past and I realized, "Yah,that's part my training ground." God had intentionally let me undergone those downfalls to teach me lessons in life that I must share to my students, so they themselves, may grow in the right path even though surrounded with all kinds of temptations.
Many times I became unfaithful to God but He never disowned me.He uses people and instances around to bring me His message of love. When I reached the most difficult part of my life,I always cling to His Word, "All things will work together for good to those who truly love God." (Romans 8:28).
Now I'm presently employed in a government institution, happily married and blessed with two wonderful kids.
Friends, I am newbie here and I'm so happy sharing my life to you because it's kinda stress reliever for me.Join me in unveiling the turning points of my profession in the next article.
