Time gives us hope for a change
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven…” Ecclesiastes 3:1 There is so much truth in this simple little line. There is so much hope as well. I don’t know what season you are in, but it is utterly important that we remember that there *are* seasons in life.
The crisis that you find yourself in right now will not last forever. The pain you feel will fade with time. The season will change. If there was one thing I would like to tell young people, it would be to trust God through this season of your life.
I was recently told of yet another desperate person who took their own life this last week. My heart goes out to them and to their family. He, like so many people his age, felt like the problems he faced were the end of his young world.
He felt like his life was broken too badly for him to go on. He didn’t understand that seasons change. I remember being a teenager and feeling exactly the same way. I had been through some devastating events in my life. I had seen some horrible things and experienced pain that I thought would consume any chance for happiness in my future.
All I could see was the moment I was in. I could not understand the healing and restoring nature of God. I actually prayed for God to come down and take me away from this world, and not only once but daily for years. Now, I am 43 and I can look back on my life – pain and sadness included – and I can see God’s hand in everything. I can see how He moved me and led me through those dark times for a reason. Don’t give up on God.
What the scripture says
Look throughout scripture and you will see a host of broken and damaged people that were made new. Hannah was childless… God sent her a son. (1 Samuel 1) Gideon was afraid… God made him a powerful leader. (Judges 6) Rahab was a prostitute… God gave her a new life and made her an ancestor of Jesus. (Joshua 2 and 6) Matthew was a tax collector… God made him an apostle. (Matthew 9:9-13) Seasons change.
Give your broken season to God and trust Him to lead you into your next season. Don’t give up. God hasn’t forgotten you, and He will never dismiss you as too far gone to fight for. Who you are now is not who you will become. You are worth the cross to God. For you he came. For you he died. For you he rose again. That is how important you are.
Christian: Soul winning is our collective responsibility
INTRODUCTION
Most times the devil is tricky in making the church think that you have to be like the world in other to win the world. In the twenty-first century, the church has been seduced by the world rather than turning the world upside down. As such, the greatest threat to the church is not persecution by the world but the church becoming like the world. The problem is not only that many churches have adopted the world’s tactics in what they do but also that they have adopted the world’s message in what they say.
The reality is that many Christians simply aren’t aware that God has provided the church with particular means for winning souls. In fact, for several years after I became a Christian, I was unaware that God had ordained that the church use such means to rescue souls, disciple souls, nourish souls, and restore souls.
What makes a church a true church is not simply a crowd of people doing things however they want and saying whatever they want. Rather, a true church is the gathering of believers who are worshiping God according to His Word and according to the means God has ordained. A true church of Jesus Christ is a congregation of those who have professed faith in Jesus Christ and who are committed to the unadulterated preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ and the whole counsel of God, prayer, and the proper administration of the sacraments of baptism and the Lord’s Supper, which includes the consistent practice of church discipline. If a church fails to be faithful to these ordinary marks of the church, it fails to be a true church.
Churches that do not preach the pure gospel of Jesus Christ and the whole counsel of God for teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness—that God’s people may be competent and equipped for every good work—are in reality not churches at all.

We have One who loves us unconditionally; One who cares about us more than we can ever imagine. And this is our Heavenly Father, our Creator, our Deliverer, our source of strength, Jehovah Jireh; the Lord our provider. He keeps us from all harm and watches over our lives (Psalm 121:7).
Yes, GOD'S love is reckless, His careless love is what is keeping us today. While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us all. He is always waiting for us patiently to repent and turn from our wicked ways.
The parable of the lost sheep
Matt.18.12 - How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray?
Matt.18.13 - And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray.
Matt.18.14 - Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.
The parable of the Lost sheep is a clear example of the Reckless love of God. It shows how much we are love by God, having 100 sheep and going in search of one (1), leaving ninety-nine (99) behind. Once this happens, the Bible say there is great rejoicing in heaven.
What you must know
Our Heavenly Father will never cast out anyone who comes to Him (John 6:37). He is an amazing Father. Why would anyone not want to have the Lord God Almighty as their Father? He daily calls out to us; “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11.28).
And what better time other than this season we are in to heed to this call? We need not go through this tough season alone; feeling defeated and helpless when our Heavenly Father is always ready to lavish us with His immeasurable love and embrace us as His dear children. His love is available to us all; “How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! (1 John 3:1).
The enemy does not want us to know about this unconditional love of our Heavenly Father and he is therefore daily feeding us with lies to distract us from God’s love. He will get into our thoughts with lies such as: “You will never be good enough, everyone else is better than you, there is so much for you to be ashamed of, you could never be forgiven for that, God does not really love you after all you have done and no one can”.
All these lies from the enemy were cancelled out on the cross by our Heavenly Father through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The truth will forever remain that God’s love for us is unwavering, unconditional and everlasting. God is love and all He does is motivated by His love for us.
His love is not for a selected few; it knows no race, gender, age, color or status. Paul in Romans 8: 38– 39 says; “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Gods unconditional love is available to us all even to those who imagine or feel they do not deserve it and the Lord is reaching out to all of us; "Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts…” (Hebrews 3:15). His voice is saying; “I love you my child”.
Reach out to His love which is free for us all by acknowledging Him as your Father and enjoy a life of peace and abundance. He says; “…I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness”

Introduction
Everyday, human being on earth have a reason to say thank you to someone for doing a thing or two for him or her.
Though most times we neglect certain things, but I tell you that the fact that you sleep and wake up every morning is enough reason to show gratitude to God who made it possible.
What is Gratitude?
The word gratitude is not new to us, we hear and use it in our everyday life circumstances. Gratitude is an act of expressing Thanksgiving. It is an act of praise, the quality of showing how appreciative we are over a thing or a person. Throughout life's trials and blessings, displaying a general attitude of gratitude distinguishes the Christian, but it also makes you a lovely person to be around.
Exploring the teachings of Bible on showing gratitude we see how David gave God thanks in Psalms. Ps.118.24 - This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. It therefore implies that we should be thankful when we wake up to a new day, because everyday is a gift from God Himself. In Psalm 150 vs 6, we are told that everything that has breath should praise God, what a command from God, for the breath you have, the Bible says we should be thankful.
Imagine how you feel when you are appreciated for performing a task for someone, maybe a friend or parent, a husband or wife, this is the same way God feels when you appreciate him. I can remember at a time when I helped my father in his business, he gave me more than I even asked when I was about returning back to school.
Gratitude is an act of praising God, Gratitude turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion into clarity...it makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.
The heart that gives thanks is a happy one, for we cannot feel thankful and unhappy at the same time. Imagine a king on his throne who is receiving praise from his elders, etc, how do you think he would feel?
Examples of some who showed gratitude in the bible
Our role model, Jesus always gave thanks to His father. Jesus gave thanks to God before distributing the bread and fish to five thousand people who came to hear him teach (John 6:11). Even till death, He was thankful.
Another good example is the Leper who returned from 10 lepers that were healed. Ten lepers came to Jesus and asked him to heal them. Jesus sent them to the priests, and they were all healed along the way. Only one of the ten healed people returned to thank Jesus and he was made totally whole (Luke 17:11-19).
In the book of 1 Samuel 2vs 1-10, Hannah gave a very long prayer after the birth of Samuel. She was very thankful to God. We can go on and on.
Why then should we be thankful?
Gratitude makes you happier, in thankfulness, you are counting your blessings everyday.
Gratitude builds stronger relationships,
It helps improve productivity
It improves mental health
Gratitude glorifies God
Gratitude deepens our faith in God
Gratitude bring contentment
Being thankful helps you build a stronger positive mentality and makes you feel relax

The holidays can be a hard time for many people. This year is no exception, in fact, loneliness has been exasperated by our COVID restrictions. Social isolation adds to the heartache of lost loved ones and relatives too far away to visit with.
In addition to this, we also have to face our ‘end of year evaluations’. There is something about this arbitrary date of December 31st that causes us to evaluate our choices from the past twelve months.
So, here we are at the end of one of the strangest years in my lifetime, and I receive emails every day from people who are struggling. While I send replies and pray for each request that comes in, my heart goes out to each of those who struggle.
My love and care doesn’t quite feel the same went sent through the internet. I feel like, though I mean every word I type, words feel empty without a personal touch, a loving smile, or a shared cup of tea between friends. While I cannot reach through this screen and wrap you in a motherly embrace, our Heavenly Father can do so much more than I could ever attempt.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 says, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.” I know the truth of these words.
Many times, I was all alone in my sorrow until I felt God’s love and comfort surround me. I cannot tell you how many times I would close my eyes and picture God’s strong arms engulfing.
Understanding that He was never far from me brought me peace when I felt alone. Trusting that He was directing my crazy and sometimes difficult path gave me the strength to press on towards what I knew awaited me. Every time I feel like I have somehow let God down by not doing enough, saying enough, making the right choices, I read of His mercy and endless grace and I am comforted.
You are not alone, though we are separated. You are not forgotten, even if God is sometimes silent. You are never abandoned. Jesus died to save you; he will not forsake you now. Your worth is unmeasurable, your potential undaunted by your abilities.
God makes diamonds from coal and butterflies from caterpillars. Be encouraged this holiday season, but most importantly, allow yourself to be comforted by the God of All Comfort

Luke.18.16 - But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
Luke.18.17 - Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.
The disciples of Jesus christ rebuked those who were bringing little children to to Jesus, but Jesus instructed them to allow the little children come see Him. This explains how important children are in the kingdom of God.
Children are a gift from God, and it is the duty of the parents to keep that which was entrusted to them.
He has accepted the responsibility to take care of the child in the fear of the Lord.
It was just a profound moment to rejoice and be thankful to God, considering the circumstances that arose in during the period of pregnancy. God is so faithful indeed.

Who is in you?
1John.4.4 - Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
Satan whispers in subtle delusions that bring confusion and gently leads us astray. If he were less crafty, we would not be such easy prey for his devouring appetites. As it is, he often picks off the weak Christians without effort and hobbles the once strong of faith with fear and doubt.
Yet, far too many pulpits remain silent on the topic of Satan and his unholy minions. We are left unequipped to fight the enemy of our soul if we ignore his existence. The word we translate as ‘demon’ occurs no less than 75 times in the New Testament.
If we believe that the Word of God is truth, we must also believe that demons and Satan himself are true. But we need not fear and tremble! 1 John 4:4 tells us, “You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because **the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world**.” While we need not fear, we need to be on guard against Satan and his underlings.
The only way we can protect ourselves from his fiery attacks is with the truth of scripture. We must put on the full armor of God. Ephesians 6:13-17 explains what we must do to protect ourselves from Satan’s deadly attacks.
It says, “Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.
In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”
There is no doubt that evil exists, but we are not at the mercy of its treachery. We have God’s truth surrounding us and His righteousness protecting our heart.

Am Sorry - The most easy but difficult word
The word sorry isnt new to you and me, even a baby learns to say this one word 'sorry'. What troubles me about this word is the fact that a lot of people find it difficult to say sorry.
What is the meaning of Am Sorry
Sorry is the word used for apologies. It can be used to convey empathy and sadness. A sorry is a way to show your feeling of regret and displeasure on an act of yours. It is a confession in front of some one to express how bad you felt by doing or saying bad to the person. But frankly, it has become more of a casual word than a strong, persuasive word now-a-days.
Sorry is the word to express the feeling of guilt and is feeling sad through sympathy with some one else miss fortune, in a poor or pitiful situations, it is a simple word to express a huge pack of emotions. It is literally an expression used to show humility after a bad deed.
According to Gary Hopkins, 'An apology can be a wonderful thing so long as it is infrequent and from the heart. However, beware of the person who justifies bad behavior with apologies. For them it is a means to an end, and quite often at your expense'.
'Sorry' is a bit to plead for forgiveness, does it that people who can't say sorry won't be forgiven? Paul Boese said "Forgiveness does not change the past, but it does enlarge the future". Sorry means to apologize, to apologize means to seek forgiveness for a wrong act. “I’m sorry”, may be the easiest thing to say. But to truly mean it – to feel sorrow and regret and express that in words? That may be the most difficult task.
Admitting you're wrong deals with pride. Humans find it easier to say that they're the ones not at fault and blame it at someone else. Lowering one's pride is not easy for some. Before am sorry comes Acceptance of your fault. We must first accept our sins, shortcomings, before we can then apologize.
King Saul refused to accept his sins and was rejected by God from being king (1 Samuel 15). John 3vs 16 says 'for God so love the world that He gave his only begotten son, whosoever believe the on Him shall be saved' we can be forgiven is we accept our wrong.
The Bible says 'he that covereth his sins will not prosper, but he that accepts (and confess) and forsake them shall obtain mercy' (Prov: 28vs13). Confession is a sign you have accepted your fault and you need a change. We should acknowledge the fact that we are not perfect and accept our fault, then we can now apologize and then receive forgiveness and obtain mercy.
The more your cover your sin the farther you are from mercy, remember he that covert his sins will not prosper.
God's Favour last a life time (keegan H.)
Towards the end of each year, you can begin to see these pictures with someone jumping or dancing from a point marked with the current year to a point marked with the following year.
The people looked excited and thrilled to be starting a new adventure. After the year we have all had this year with pandemics, politics, and paranoia; I feel like an accurate picture for the transition from 2020 to 2021 would be a person crawling in desperation to reach a year promising to be better than this one.
As we reach that promised 2021, I fear that the dawn of a new year will not bring miraculous changes to our situations. Whether or not the new promised vaccines put an end to COVID once and for all, the world still had to say goodbye to far too many this year… far too early.
Whether or not the left and the right of politics finally meet somewhere in the middle, our nations are all drifting farther and farther from God. Yet, even though we face uncertainty, we don’t have to live uncertain lives. Faith doesn’t worry about the ‘what-ifs’, it walks forward with a confident, ‘God can’.
Consider Psalm 30. This psalm, written for the dedication of the temple, was written by a man who would never see the construction in his lifetime. This song was sung years later by exiles after Jerusalem was utterly destroyed in their anticipation of their return to and rebuilding of their beloved city. This psalm was then later sung by the Macabbees as they lived oppressed and yet looked forward in faith to a day when they would regain their independence.
This psalm encourages its listeners to “Sing to the Lord, you saints of His; praise His holy name. For His anger lasts only a moment, but His favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.” (Psalm 30:4-5) No matter how you end 2020, God has your 2021 firmly in the palm of His hand.
We may not see our destination yet, but we can keep moving forward and sing praises to God because we *know* that God’s favor lasts a lifetime – even if life throws some stumbling blocks our way.
Hallelujah - Our Heavenly Language
Hallelujah! What a powerful declaration. It is a confirmation of God’s glory and the praise that He deserves. It is called the heavenly language.
Hallelujah, also spelled **alleluia**, Hebrew liturgical expression meaning “praise ye Yah”. It appears in the Hebrew Bible in several psalms, usually at the beginning or end of the psalm or in both places.
Hallelujah should burst forth from our lips when we think of all the wonderful things our God has done. Hallelujah, such a simple phrase turned into a cry of our heart: Praise God! I am often struck by how little I stop to praise God for the things I experience each and every day.
Both the good and the painful are reasons to pour out our songs of thanksgiving to our Creator, and yet I allow my mind to believe it too consumed with daily tasks to stop and praise. I find it hard to praise God for the mistakes and the failures in my life when those times are painfully fresh in my mind, but I have learned that they too serve a beautiful purpose.
Each broken moment of my life is not an accident to lament for eternity. It is a piece to give to God and shout hallelujah. I praise the God who does not cast me aside for every wrong step. I praise the God who looks past my blunders and doesn’t judge me for my frailty.
I praise my God who invites me to try even when I have not perfected my gifts. I praise Him for the success and the times when more learning and trying is needed.
We have so much in our lives to be thankful for, but do we remember to stop and praise? “May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.” (Psalm 19:14) May I always think of your glory, O Lord. May I always remember to stop and sings songs of beautiful hallelujah.

Sometimes in life we meet people who have blown out their lives and they aren't so sure there is still hope foe them. Other believe that if they tell anyone their past, they is no forgiveness for them. What then is the reason for the mercy of God?
What is Mercy
God’s mercy means His pity, compassion, and kindness toward people. His mercy shows up in the believer’s life at salvation, and then God continues to show mercy in forgiveness. Mercy triumphs over judgment. Rick Warren wrote, in his article, “Seven Characteristics of Mercy,” that “learning to be an agent of mercy transforms our relationships.”
God's mercy is his loving kindness and tender-hearted for His people. His compassionate nature towards His children. Where sin has marked us reject, mercy counteract it and mark you accepted. Mercy is the nature of God. It is God's patient in action. Though we deserves to be punished, He shows mercy to everyone, even those who don't deserve it. God's mercy is beyond our understanding. God's mercy I will call a mystery. The mercy tank of God never run dry. His mercy overflows on us the bountiful mercy of God. The scripture says His mercy is from generations to generations.
“He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.” (Titus 3:5 NIV). The benefits of God’s mercy include peace, love, and joy. None of the behaviors Luke speaks of come naturally. Mercy is forgiveness and compassion extended to those who do not deserve it. The accusers and the adulterers. He chooses to extend mercy to us, and He is unchanging. We cannot fail our way out of God’s love.
Evidence of His mercy
God gave me a testimony today and He saved me from a serious car accident, it would ja e been worst. I boarded a bus from Benin to Onishta (Anambra state, Nigeria). The driver was quite reckless, picking passengers where ever he wills. Just before the incident, he stopped to pick a passenger like he always did but wasn't lucky at the time. Where he pack, not too off the busy road, a corolla from behind hit the bus. What a damage. I then had to board another vehicle. Thank God nobody was hurt. It would have been worst, if for God.
That's what His mercy does, His mercy keeps you safe, keeps your on peace.

We hear a lot of talk about the End Times. It seems that every event we face is yet another example of how the world will one day dissolve like snow. With all that we face lately, I have to admit that an eternal rescue sounds pretty good, but it can also be kind of scary.
Images that come to mind when we hear the end of days don’t always bring a sense of peace. There is very little about famine, persecution, and tribulation that bring a warm fuzzy feeling. Fortunately for those of us who have accepted God’s offer of salvation through Jesus, we don’t need to fear.
Daniel 12:1 puts the world’s final moments into perspective. It says, “At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people – everyone whose name is found written in the book – will be delivered.” What a great promise!
Actually, that verse gives us two great promises! The first promise is that Michael – one of God’s most powerful archangels – protects us. Jesus refers to Satan as the prince of this world (John 12:31 and 16:11) Yet, even though this world is ruled by Satan, we are not left without a protector to keep that satanic dominion in check. The second great promise from our passage in Daniel is deliverance! We truly do not need to worry about the final days of earth.
We don’t need to fret about the collapse of society or the rule of the Anti-Christ. God will protects us right through to the moment He completely delivers us from the worries of this world’s demise. So, don’t let all the talk about the end of the world scare you. God is not only in control, He is preparing for our deliverance!

A choice according to the dictionary refers to the act of choosing between two or more possibilities. Choice are decision making, a choice is a right to choose what you want. It is the ability to select, prioritize our life goals, it is the power and authority, responsibility to choose an option.
Where you are today is as a result of the choice you made yesterday. Choices is the mother of our actions. Simply put our choices define the decision we make and actions we take. Choice is a preference. Some Choices we make, brings happiness, others bring sadness but the bottom line is you must reap the result of what ever choices you make in life. Living is by choice as well as dying, serving God is by choice, the food we eat is by choice.
Lets consider a ship sailing from Nigeria to Brazil, the Captain chooses the course he thinks it's best and the ship has no option than to adjust to the captains settings. He makes sure than the ship stays on that course until it arrives her destination, all things being in good condition. The Captains actions can either land the ship safely or ground it. That's how strong our actions can be.
Who says you have no choice?, of course everyone does. In the creation story (Genesis 1),God gave Adam choices to name the animals and plants what ever he thinks it best for them. He finally gave them (Adam and Eve) a choice to life and death, when He warned them against the tree of life and death.
God himself had to make choices, He choosed Abraham to make him the father of many nations (Gen 12). God choose to make the Israelite His choose ones. I remember in Joshua 24.15 - And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. They had to choose who they would serve - God or the devil?
There were many virgins in the Land but Mary was chosen by the angel, Jesus choosed His disciples, salvation is a choice. We have a choice to make when we read Deut.28.1 - And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth', there are a lot more in the Bible.
The world has become so noisy, and we are hasty in making choice, the love for the worldly attributes of life is increasing by the second, nations against nations, son against father, daughter against mother, this is as a result of the wrong choices we make in our day to day life.
Making right choice
The Bible can be your manual to making right choices in life.
Jesus has given us a choice to ETERNAL LIFE - SALVATION: what more can be greater than this? Yet people think The don't have a choice but they really do. Jesus said if you must follow me, first deny yourself and take up your cross daily (Luke 9:23).
Child of God, Death and Life is a choice, but I would rather Choose the Life in Christ Jesus. I once saw a quote and it says 'Attitude is a choice. Happiness is a choice. Optimism is a choice. Kindness is a choice. Giving is a choice. Respect is a choice. Whatever choice you make makes you. Choose wisely.
Who says you have no choice? Choose Jesus and Live happily everyday. GOD BLESS YOU.

That there are injustices in the world no one can deny. Does God notice these unfair dealings? Of course, He does. God leads His people with justice. He calls us to walk in fairness, humility, and unity as well.
Ezekiel 34:20-22 says, “Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says to them: See, I myself will judge between the fat sheep and the lean sheep. Because you shove with flank and shoulder, butting all the weak sheep with your horns until you have driven them away, I will save my flock, and they will no longer be plundered. I will judge between one sheep and another.”
God’s grace and mercy know no limits. Why then does ours? God’s forgiveness never runs dry yet ours often experience long seasons of drought. Competition exists in God’s church that never belonged there. Pride demands that we always get our way when Jesus taught us to become a servant instead.
We butt heads and push to make our way to the front. We claim the best rewards and the demand the least sacrifice, but this was never the way God intended. There are injustices in this world because this world has turned its back on the God of Justice and Righteousness.
Within His church; however, life *should* be based on different. Petty arguments *should* be set aside so that humility and unity reigns. God’s people *should* be willing to sacrifice in order to keep the peace and create an atmosphere that welcomes and strengthens the weak.
The church *should* be always welcoming and never condemning. However, none of us are perfect. None of us have mastered living the way Christ calls us to live. We stumble. We butt heads. We forget to walk in self-sacrificing love at all times.
We forget, but we can remember. Though we argue, we can heal. Though we disagree, we can love. Though we have fallen, God can make us whole once again. Sometimes we just need to remember to whom we belong.
“You my sheep, the sheep of my pasture, are people, and I am your God, declares the Sovereign Lord.” (verse 31) He hasn’t given up on us yet and He never will. He still calls us to live in unity. He still demands that we walk in love, but He also understands that, like sheep, we often wander. If we listen to our shepherd, we will find we have just what we need to follow.
House Vs Home
The word home and house are used interchangeably. Most times, I also get confused on the usage of these words.
They might sound or look the same but they are very different.
A house is a temporary or permanent structure (wooden or concrete), usually a material structure constructed to give comfort. We all live in houses. A house has no emotional attachments.
In a home, you feel warm and relax. I have heard people say most times time 'No place like home'. A home is surrounded by meaningful and special things, our loved ones, family and friend add up to make a home. The word 'make yourself feel at home also comes to mind', means that anywhere can be a home depending on who is occupying it. It is our duty to create a home out of the wooden and sometimes concrete houses we build. A home can even be a country, state, etc.
Properties like happiness, love, warmth combine to make a home.
You can make a home out of a house. We can also turn a house to a home conducive for living. A house can be bought but a home cannot.

Nothing in life is constant- Be Encouraged (Ruth)
In one way or another we all acknowledge that the Covid – 19 Pandemic season has been a tough one. I confess that there are days that I have woken up not knowing what to expect next.
There are times I have felt helpless, alone, anxious, and afraid. I believe many of us can identify with such feelings. Some of us have faced grievous losses and challenges; having no idea of where to begin but this day let us be encouraged that nothing catches our God by surprise.
He knows all that we are going through, and He knows what is best for us. The Bible says in Psalm 139:16 that all our days ordained for us were written in the Lord’s book before any of them came to be. He is the God who changes times and seasons, and He knows why we have to go through this season. Soon, He will close it and usher us into a new one.
What we need to ask ourselves as we go through this season is; “What have we learned from this season and what blessings can we count out of this season?” No season is an accident; no matter how tough it has been, the Lord God intends it for our good and we have to keep that perspective if we have to break through this season successfully.
I acknowledge it has been tough but I have known the Lord God as One who is faithful in all His ways, One who sticks closer than a brother, One whose love compares to no other, One who fills His children with His joy not because all that is around them is okay but because He knows His joy is His children’s strength.
Seasons never last; today you may be down in the pit but the Lord is bringing you up to a higher ground. Weeping may last for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Isaiah 58.11 says; “The LORD will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.”
Let us all embrace the attitude, confidence and gratitude expressed by David in Psalm 71:20 – 22; “Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up. You will increase my honor and comfort me once again. I will praise you with the harp for your faithfulness, O my God; I will sing praise to you with the lyre, O Holy One of Israel.” In spite of what we are going through the Lord is continually guiding us and He will bring us out of this season successfully and increase our honor. A Child of God Must be Productive (keegan H.)
God made us to be productive. Idleness is not becoming for a believer. Being idle opens the door for the enemy; our thoughts wonder, and our guards are let down. Idleness leads to us being self-centered, it hinders our ability to serve others, and can rob us of our joy.
Not that we should not rest, rest is in order, but we often confuse rest with being idle. There is a significant contrast between the two.
Rest is sweeter when preceded by a hard day of work. We rest so it can refuel us after working. However, we are idle because we refuse to work and would prefer to be lazy. Proverbs 21:25 issues a warning to those who are lazy, it says, “despite their desires, the lazy will come to ruin, for their hands refuse to work.”
God made us with purpose, and He intends for us to daily pursue that purpose. We must get instructions from the Lord for what our day should look like. Just like idleness is not synonymous with rest, the same is true with business and productivity.
We can be busy doing a lot of things, but if it is not what God instructs us to do, then we have not been productive. Our productivity is determined by our obedience to God. It should not be determined by how many items we have checked off OUR to do list.
I pray we will resist the temptation to be idle and instead pursue being productive according to God’s standards.
My Spec (The End) - What the Heck!!
Ok! So my mum is still on that bed and am scared to my bones what if she never makes it like my father. All that time Scott as been standing by me saying things am not so sure of.
"Ann! Are you ok!" It's a month already. You should have gotten over it" this guys as no idea how I feel. They are all saying the same thing. Grandma is out of the country already with my cousin. Am left to face my devils all alone.

I got into my office last week so I can get some documents. To my surprise it was Sonia on my seat.

I got angry and gave her an unexpected slap.

If I find out you killed my father I won't spare you. I can forget every other thing but killing my father. I won't even take pity on you.

Some of God’s greatest blessings come when we are busy going in a different direction. They come when their appearance is inconvenient for our plans.
They come with a different appearance than what we anticipate, but that is God’s way. If life unfolded as we planned, would we give credit to God for the miracles in our lives?
If we could anticipate and manipulate God’s opportunities and blessings, would we see His hand in their coming? I love how God promises but leaves the details vague.
He wants us to trust Him and not the specifics. He calls us to follow Him and not the steps that lead towards the place we think we are meant to go.
As we prepare our hearts and minds for this Christmas season, let us spend some time thinking about that precious birth.
Nothing about Jesus’ first coming looked the way the world anticipated. They looked for a king and found a baby. They longed for a warrior and found a man of peace and sorrow.
They sought freedom but thought it was meant for this world and not eternity. How does Jesus come to you? What expectations have you placed on His appearance? Are you waiting for everything to fall into place? Are you looking for a bold sign or unmistakable miracle to point the way?
Remember, Christ lay in a manger and not a crib. His head rested on straw and not fine linen. His future lie destined to lead to a crown of thorns instead of gold. Maybe your miracle awaits you dressed in a way you wouldn’t recognize. God loves to do the unexpected.
His perfect plans rarely come in the usual ways. God is too big to box in with our limited understanding. Be open to the impossible. Follow God’s star and find your path around the bend from what you expected.

My Spec - The Real Battle (Episode 16)
It's been 7 days since I got the news of my father's death. It's been heart ricking. I could practically not do a thing. I heard a knock on the door. This guys should let me be.
"I brought you lunch!" That was Martha. she should be resting, she just put to bed. I wouldn't open the door for her.
"I'm not hungry Martha! Let me be. You better go to your daughter. She needs you more"
I heard a persistent knock that brought me to reality. It's dark already I must have slept for so long.
"Ann! Please open the door, please, stop hurting yourself. You need to eat!" I never knew where the strength came from but I got up to unlock the knob.
" My medicine!"
I grabbed him with all the life left inside of me. Always handsome, he smells of Rush cologne. We were like that for close to five minutes.
"Can I come in!" He asked, so polite!!!
What else do I want, he is just the perfect one for me. That blessing that came at the right time. I lead him into my room.He looked around, he must be observing the arrangements of the room and my framed pictures on the wall.
"You're so lean! What happened? When last did you eat? and your skin is so pale. Why are your eyes swollen and red?" I kept staring like I had no idea of all that he was saying.
