Word Today (We are God’s co-workers)

September 2, 2020 1Cor3:1-9 Lk4:38-44 *"I must proclaim the Good News of the Kingdom of God."* Christ came to start building the Kingdom of God, where love for God & neighbor reigns, & all who join in the construction are saved. St Paul says, "*We are God's co-workers.*" (1st Reading) Building the Kingdom takes many types of work - healing, serving, bringing in outsiders, praying, preaching, etc. God gives each of us a participation to keep us focused & fulfilled in life. He equips us w/ specific skills for the work He assigns. St Paul says each work is equally important; jealousy & rivalry will only slow down the construction. May we have the commitment to serve the best we can & find purpose, meaning & joy in our lives.
