How to Commit to Your Goals
Have you ever taken on one of your goals only to find yourself stressing out about it or afraid to take that risk to commit to that goal in the first place? Chances are most of us have been there and did just that.
Yet the truth of the matter is, you can either keep being afraid or you can take control of your destiny and do what needs to be done right now. You have to commit to your goals. Crush them so badly that they never dare stare you in the face again because you my friend are a game-changer.
You are ready to experience life and have made the sacrifices necessary to get there. And right now, you have another goal, to focus on selling your handmade products, yet you fear that no one will buy your goods. You have tried or you are currently trying to market your products yet you are not getting the sales you need to make it a full-time hustle. You have gone as far as telling your family and friends about your new venture and even did a little research about marketing reading a few books you checked out at the library.
But how much are you actually doing to reach your goal? How often are you distracted by other tasks that are not related to your goal?
Most likely you haven't even taken that first step towards your goal. You're probably worried that something won't go right, that your plan won't be successful. You will fail. If these are your thoughts that control your actions then you have already set yourself up for failure, so yes you will indeed fail.
And if you are listening to those around you as they plan your future for you, telling you what to do, how to think, why you should agree with them, then again, yes you will fail.
But if you **set yourself up for success** and you kick those negative soul-sucking vampires back from where they came, you will succeed! If you put that trust in yourself and you call all of the shots, you will succeed. https://anchor.fm/thefightwithinher/episodes/40-How-to-Stop-Being-Scared-in-Life-and-Just-Truly-Live-ep33c2
Stop caring what others think and just commit to your goals. If you put the time and energy into each little step, before you realize it you have accomplished your goal.
As long as you are willing to take those steps, the possibilities are truly in your hands. Where will you go?

Having the greatest morning ever. Rocking out to Uppermost and their song Revolution.
About to wind down with my last article for the night. I'm writing about The Excuses We Tend to Make and Why We Can't Stop 🛑
https://read.cash/@Thefightwithinher/why-you-cant-stop-making-excuses-3f6a8ef2
Why You Can't Stop Making Excuses
You are always going to make excuses. Whether it's something along the lines of:
*I have pain*
*I'm too old*
*I'm too busy*
*My family doesn't approve*
*I'm depressed*
*I don't feel like it*
*It's too hard*
When it comes to your health you will always have complaints and **you will always make excuses** for those complaints. You won't improve your health because you don't want to. https://anchor.fm/thefightwithinher/episodes/40-How-to-Stop-Being-Scared-in-Life-and-Just-Truly-Live-ep33c2
You don't want to be responsible for yourself. You don't want another thing you have to do when instead you should be sitting around enjoying that time with a twenty-pack or 4 hours in front of the television, complete with snacks.
Let's be absolutely real. I'm a mother and grandmother, I understand what you are going through. I'm always busy, always on the go. It seems I never have enough time left at the end of the day for anything else. But not only am I a mom and grandma, I also work from home producing my podcast, **The Fight Within Her**. I help keep my youngest kiddo on track with his Senior year in high school. And I am a freelance writer, editor, and author. https://anchor.fm/thefightwithinher
I'm always doing something every day that involves my health. Whether it's treating myself to a nutritional shake or taking on a cardio workout routine, I'm doing something!
I also make sure my breakfast includes protein every day. If coffee and donuts are your daily breakfast, then you are doing it all wrong. Your body is being fueled with a sugar rush that will have you crashing well before lunch hour. Not to mention that caffeine boost that will have you jittery for most of your morning.
I made sure I snuck in some form of exercise every day whether it was workout out on my home gym or a walk around the neighborhood.
If I found myself feeling more fatigued than usual because of my ADHD, I worked out for 5 minutes or longer on my home gym. The results are truly energizing!
So you see, there are no excuses worth ignoring your health, not even time. And if you've run into a snag and you're not finding the time to hit your health goes the time to commit, what are you doing?
Stop telling yourself and those around you that you can't get healthy because you lack self-discipline or you already have too much on your plate. Stop the excuses. You are not only lying to yourself you're also lying to those around you.
Don't use your pain as a reason not to get healthy. Stop using depression as an excuse not to get better. Your health is important. And don't allow the *"I'm too old, it's too late for me",* excuse to take control of your life either.
They are all lies that you have deemed as a reason not to become fit, to eat healthy. They are all excuses that give you a reason not to take action.
Stop following the lies and prove that your health is important. You have the opportunity to control your own actions. You can commit to getting healthy. Believe in your ability to eat healthy and your determination to work out. Isn't it time you kicked those excuses out of your life for good?

My next goal is to update and record another podcast, then maybe publish another article. Lots of busy work today. 💪💪💪💪
Good Morning,
Time to get ahead of the writing game today. Wrote this article last night. Just now publishing it. Today's artle is all about CBD and ADHD. 🌿 🧠
https://read.cash/@Thefightwithinher/can-cbd-treat-adhd-9ecc7fa9
Can CBD Treat ADHD?
CBD is often used as a natural treatment for those who have been diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (*ADHD*).
Those who believe in its benefits for ADHD, use it for both anxiety and pain. CBD has even been used to help other **ADHD symptoms** such as irritability and agitation. https://anchor.fm/thefightwithinher/episodes/43-ADHD-and-the-Misconceptions-Behind-it-eq38m0
CBD is also known to have fewer side effects than prescription **medications for ADHD.** https://anchor.fm/thefightwithinher/episodes/44-How-to-Make-Herbal-Medicines-er129e
CBD is derived from both the hemp and marijuana plant. Yet unlike its counterpart marijuana, CBD isn't psychoactive, which means it doesn't contain THC.
And as with any medication, you must use CBD daily to gain its benefits. You should also start with the minimum recommended dose to see how you will fact to CBD.
You should also keep in mind that in some instances CBD isn't always enough to treat your ADHD symptoms. A therapist may be needed to help manage symptoms that become unmanageable in traditional ways.
Can CBD really be a treatment for ADHD? In some ways, yes. While it won't help you focus, it can help I'm your anxiety and lessen that throbbing pain.
Just wrote my final article for tonight. This one is about CBD and Relationships. 🌿💏👫
https://read.cash/@Thefightwithinher/what-to-do-when-your-partner-when-doesnt-believe-in-cbd-5c505a88
What To Do When Your Partner When Doesn't Believe in CBD
Hearing the opinion of someone who doesn't believe in the benefits behind CBD is one thing, but when it happens to be your partner it's a whole other story.
Being with a partner who doesn't share your beliefs in CBD can make the relationship a bit complicated. We are all different in our own way. We tend to surround ourselves with those who share common interests, yet we may also find ourselves drawn to a partner who does not when it comes to certain choices that we make.
While it's counterpart marijuana is starting to become legal in many states, CBD is a subject that is still taboo for many people. Throw in your mate as one of those people and there is bound to be a conversation about CBD.
Even if your partner's views vary on CBD, there should be a middle ground to which you can both agree upon without compromising your use of CBD.
Always respect your partner's opinions even if they don't love CBD. And yes you know how great CBD has been for you, and you may even be correct that your partner could benefit from it as well. However, if your partner isn't interested in trying CBD don't force them. Of course you could explain the benefits of how CBD has helped you, but in all honesty, it's their choice not yours.
And if you have pointed out the benefits of CBD and they have still said no? Don't continue to pester or drop hints about CBD to them. You will get more respect from them if you give them the space they deserve and don't disrespect their decision by trying to prove that you are right.
Yet if your partner doesn't respect your own decision about CBD then you may have to stand your ground. You should not hide who you really are because the person you're in a relationship with thinks differently.
Find that middle ground and a quiet time where you can take your CBD alone. Just be sure you are willing to compromise as well. If you vape CBD, and the health of your lungs is your partner's true concern, perhaps you could take it in edible form instead.
Once you have found that common ground where you can both meet, keep communication a priority and you will both win in the end.

Just a little treat I had last night. 🍷
Doing a little writing today while I am really calm and focused. Today's Topic is About Using CBD as a mom. 🌿
https://read.cash/@Thefightwithinher/why-every-mom-needs-cbd-in-her-life-12b3ec87
Why Every Mom Needs CBD in Her Life
Today has been one of those what I call, *"a kicking it day."* After an afternoon filled with recording several back-to-back episodes for my podcast, **"The Fight Within Her,"** I wrote and published my article on The Benefits of Healthy Eating For ADHD and still had time to write two more articles. And this day is not yet over thanks to this momma's CBD oil. https://anchor.fm/thefightwithinher
When I first discovered CBD a few years ago, I was leery of its benefits. Should I dare risk such a high price on a product I knew nothing about? What if the product didn't work? What if its benefits didn't last very long?
There were so many unanswered questions that I didn't dare ask. I was afraid if I did, I would be judged for wanting to try a product that was once deemed illegal in the United States.
Fast forward to less than a year ago when I had the opportunity again to try CBD. Because I thought at that time that my life was a little less stressful and my motivation was on the downside I decided to give CBD a try as a last attempt to control my ADHD naturally.
The first time I put those drops of CBD oil under my tongue I thought, "*It's not going to work for me. This was a waste of my hard-earned money!"* But then I felt this calm, and before I knew it I was able to focus on my work. My days usually consisted of a lot of distractions and procrastination, but at that very moment, I was in awe. *"I thought, wow this stuff really does work."*
CBD quickly became a life changer for me and despite the original reason for my purchase (*focus*), it showed me that I had more stress and anxiety in my life than I had previously thought. With my anxiety down, I'm able to focus a lot more than I had without it in my life. I even discovered that the pain from my arthritis had subsided to a minimum, enough that I didn't need an over-the-counter pain medication! This was what natural health and living were truly all about!
Yet even with major businesses carrying CBD, including local pharmacies, I know that CBD can still be taboo to many who fear that one word, illegal. Thankfully the product isn't illegal in most states as it had once been, but still leaves many to question what exactly is CBD, and is it worth the investment.
CBD also known as cannabidiol, is a compound that is derived from hemp plants. It does not contain the THC (*that high*) compound that's also found in the plant.
Unfortunately, there is a lot of confusion between hemp oil, hemp extract, and CBD. What you need to know is Hemp oil and extract are not the same as CBD. And just because CBD is legal at a state level, it doesn't mean it's legal on a federal level.
So what does it mean for you? If you work in a federal or government office or job, you probably shouldn't take CBD even if it is legal in your state, especially if you are prone to drug testing. You also will not be able to purchase it through online stores like Amazon or Walmart for the very same reason.
If however, your job doesn't require a drug test and you work in an environment that isn't federal or government-related, CBD can be taken as long as you purchase it from a trusted source. Always read the labels and know that not all CBD products are created equally. To be legal at a state level, any CBD product must contain no more than 0.3 percent of THC in their product.
Don't worry, that percentage is so low it will not give you that *"high feeling."* It can, however, show as a positive in a drug test, hence the reason it is illegal at a federal level.
You also want to make sure that what you are buying says CBD *(cannabidiol*) somewhere on the packaging and not hemp-seed oil or cannabis sativa seed oil since neither contain CBD.
And, you need to know how CBD can work for you. Not every health ailment can benefit from CBD. It can, however, provide a sense of calm for those with anxiety. It can also help with chronic pain like arthritis.
I use my CBD oil at 1 to 2 drops per dose, once sometimes twice a day, but results will depend on your own specific needs. For most users, one 500 mg, 1 fl Oz bottle lasts me for about a month. For best results, however, your CBD product should be used daily for maximum benefits.
So there you have it, my story as a work-from-home mom, about a little (*well, to me*) miracle bottle of CBD oil and its amazing benefits.
ADHD and the Benefits of CBD
If you live with **ADHD** or pain caused by arthritis or other chronic health conditions, chances are you have most likely heard of CBD and its counterpart medical marijuana. But what exactly is CBD?
Cannabidiol (CBD) is derived from the hemp plant and does not contain the THC that is associated with that "high" feeling you get from medical marijuana.
CBD is typically consumed in an oil or capsule form, although some companies offer it as a vaping product for smokers.
Taking CBD oil orally is generally the best way to benefit from the product since vaping can be harmful to the lungs.
For oil consumption, you simply place a few drops under your tongue, or you can take the CBD as a capsule. There are even some companies that offer CBD-infused gummies and other edibles, but the price can be quite high for a small amount of product.
CBD may help control **ADHD symptoms** such as anxiety, hyperactivity, and irritability. It may also help ease the pain associated with arthritis and other chronic health conditions like cystic fibrosis.
While the side effects are not permanent, CBD may cause drowsiness, so it's best to start in small doses when using the product. Once your body has adjusted to the CBD, you can begin increasing your dosage gradually.
If you are concerned about getting that "high" feeling, you won't with a good quality CBD product.
While CBD isn't the same as medical marijuana, some companies do produce CBD products like oil, that may contain trace amounts of THC, the component that gives you that feeling of high.
If you are concerned whether the CBD product you are interested in purchasing contains even a trace amount of THC, the information should be listed somewhere on the packaging. If you are still not sure, contact the company's customer service department.
You will also want to make sure that CBD is legal within your state and at your job since the laws do vary. And if you are planning to travel out of the state or country, check with the laws of the area you plan to visit before you pack your CBD oil.
If you do decide to give CBD a try, treat it like you would any new medication. Don't drive, swim or operate machinery until you know how CBD affects you. You should not expect overnight success using CBD.
Just like any medication, your body will need to adjust to the CBD's benefits before you will feel and see it working to its full potential.
I'm so glad I'm able to make up for yesterday! Just wrote another article for Read.cash on Health and ADHD. 🥑🥥🍓🌶🥕👀
https://read.cash/@Thefightwithinher/staying-focused-on-your-health-when-you-have-adhd-9c0bd9cd
Staying Focused On Your Health When You Have ADHD
It's been a little over a year since the Covid pandemic forced us to stay home. Many struggled with the idea of being trapped indoors for months, in a place, many of us rarely saw before the crisis.
Yet here we are, stronger than ever and taking on some of the biggest challenges like finishing projects you never found the time for before or taking care of your health.
Getting into shape is one of my biggest goals and has been since the start of the pandemic. But there was a time where I really struggled with my health goal because of my **ADHD and lack of motivation**. I knew I needed to make some changes if I wanted to get fit. https://anchor.fm/thefightwithinher/episodes/43-ADHD-and-the-Misconceptions-Behind-it-eq38m0
Changes that included:
**Getting More Sleep -** Before the covid crisis, I was under constant stress. I worried more than I usually did and found myself **getting less and less sleep**. My mind wouldn't stop processing every little worry even at bedtime. https://anchor.fm/thefightwithinher/episodes/42-How-to-Wake-Up-Earlier-and-Experience-Life-Even-When-Youre-a-Night-Owl-epq0iq
But lack of sleep can lead to some serious health concerns. Sleep deprivation can even cause death. As I have grown older, I've discovered my body needs more sleep or I struggle with my daily goals for work. I don't focus as it is with ADHD, add not getting much sleep to that and my focus is out the door.
Because I started focusing on my health once I found myself staying home, I made sleep a priority. I took naps every chance I could and made my bedtime on time. And you know what? I also found my stress level going down! All of that much-needed rest was healing my body in ways I had never really thought were even possible.
**Becoming Fit -** As I have grown older, my body has pointed out or rather acknowledged with pain, that I'm not getting any younger. Since the pandemic, I started **working out on my home gym** any time I found myself in a work slump and as a routine way to get fit. But I also discovered that staying at home can harm your health because we are constantly sitting. Most of us don't even get dressed for the day, so why bother to do anything that doesn't feel like lounging, right? https://anchor.fm/thefightwithinher/episodes/The-Negative-Effects-of-Caffeine-and-How-to-Kick-the-Habit-For-Good-eollk4
Actually, sitting for long periods of time can lead to a slew of health issues including obesity. You don't have to start your fitness routine with a jog around the park. You could do something as simple as taking a walk around the block. You could even take it one step further by tracking your progress using a pedometer app. Some phones even come already installed with one.
**Taking a Break -** This challenge is extremely difficult for me, and I know I am not alone, but is crucial for us all. If we are always on the go, busy with work and life, we won't be as productive as we can be. We won't be able to give it all we have got.
We need to take a break and recharge. Whether it's a 15-minute break at work or a weekend vacation somewhere, we need to give ourselves that time to just relax and forget about everything else.
Once you are recharged and ready to face the world once again, you will discover that your productivity is on the rise and better than ever. So now is the time to pencil in that time off for yourself and start making plans on how you will enjoy it.
In the meantime, start focusing on those other challenges to help keep your health in check. Or start a challenge of your own.
Adjusting the way you see the calm before the storm in our busy lives can make your stress a little easier to handle, but you will never escape it completely.
There will come a point and time when our lives will become stressful enough that we may need to see and handle it a different way. But until that day comes, we should continue to focus on the things that we can do to improve our health whether it's sleeping in more often, getting more workouts in, or planning your next fun-filled backyard adventure, now is the time.
I've been working on podcast episodes today. I'm ahead of the game on that, which is great. One of my more recent episodes is ADHD and Budgeting. My podcast can also be found on Spotify radio under The Fight Within Her

Last article for the night. This one is another read.cash article about ADHD and being overwhelmed. 💪
https://read.cash/@Thefightwithinher/overwhelmed-with-adhd-5295b711
Have a wonderful night/day! 💙
Overwhelmed With ADHD
If you have been **diagnosed with ADHD,** chances are you know all about how easy it is to become overwhelmed, even in daily life. You already have enough to do, throw in another task and you can pretty much guarantee that already overwhelming feeling is going to feel like the end of the world. https://anchor.fm/thefightwithinher/episodes/43-ADHD-and-the-Misconceptions-Behind-it-eq38m0
I don't know about you, but I've been there more times than I'd like to admit. I don't like that feeling and I'm pretty sure you don't either.
Feeling overwhelmed happens even when we think we have it all together and organized. Our lives are busy and with that comes stress. When life feels out of control, we tend to throw in the towel and give up.
Giving up is not a real option. It's merely an excuse brought on by that overwhelmed feeling. Instead of throwing in that towel, there are a few strategies I have learned to help calm the chaotic side of ADHD.
When I get too overwhelmed I will take a 5 to 10-minute workout break. Exercise lets me clear my head and gets my blood flowing. Your workout doesn't have to be fancy either. Going for a walk is a great workout with the added benefit of getting some much-needed fresh air and a great mood booster.
Music is another strategy I use to help me relax. Music in my opinion is one of the best mood boosters that I know! I can put on an upbeat song and my day is so much better. I'll even go as far as singing to the music when the opportunity presents itself.
You don't even need lyrics to benefit from listening to music, however. Binaural beats are an excellent example of this. Binaural beats have been used as a therapy tool for mental health disorders like ADHD and **Autism**. The alpha frequencies in the music have been used for relaxation, focus and to help improve memory. https://anchor.fm/thefightwithinher/episodes/5--How-to-Recognize-the-Signs-of-Autism-in-Your-Teen-efen1q
Another strategy I have been known to use when I'm overwhelmed is to write them down. It doesn't matter if it's a journal, a notebook, or even a piece of scratch paper as long as you can write out your thoughts. It also doesn't matter if it's a to-do list, **ideas for a story or new venture**, or a venting session as long as it's set in stone. https://anchor.fm/thefightwithinher/episodes/50-How-to-Be-Productive-as-a-Mom-Working-From-Home-eupe44
If you have a to-do list, I must commend you on it. To-do lists and I do not get along, so I tend to stay clear on them. That doesn't mean that I don't have things that aren't a priority and must get done, it just means I don't have lists for them. Having your thoughts come to life allows you to decide if it's worth your time to pursue anything of importance or if you can tuck it away for another day.
While it's not a strategy, getting plenty of rest is extremely important when your brain is in overdrive. We have enough stress in our lives, so why would you make it even more stressful by skipping sleep? When you don't get enough sleep you are putting both your brain and body in danger. Try to get at least 6 to 8 hours of sleep a night. Even a 20-minute nap can make a huge difference in how your brain responds to stress and anxiety.
So the next time you are feeling overwhelmed, find your calm, even if it's implementing your own strategy or two, and show the world that you can do this!
I'm on a roll today! Just published another article with read.cash. The Topic? The Benefits of Healthy Eating For ADHD. 💪🥑🍆🍇
https://read.cash/@Thefightwithinher/the-benefits-of-healthy-eating-for-adhd-271d7907
The Benefits of Healthy Eating For ADHD
We all know we should be eating healthy if we want to feel our best. But when it comes to **ADHD**, healthy eating is even more important because it can help manage our symptoms naturally. https://anchor.fm/thefightwithinher/episodes/44-How-to-Make-Herbal-Medicines-er129e
Yet for many of us with ADHD, we don't always make the healthiest of choices when it comes to food. We may even have unhealthy habits like skipping meals, specifically breakfast!
Healthy nutritional foods and good eating habits are extremely important when you are trying to manage your **ADHD symptoms**. When you skip meals, your brain takes notice and you can become irritated, distracted, and restless. In fact, those who do not have ADHD may even show signs of the mental disease, even if they don't have it. Instead of skipping meals, make them as important as your appointments! Then, plan your meals with good healthy food instead of the junk food so many of us consume. https://anchor.fm/thefightwithinher/episodes/43-ADHD-and-the-Misconceptions-Behind-it-eq38m0
Consider limiting baked goodies, starches, sugar, and anything that isn't natural. Yes, this may mean you will be shopping the produce aisle rather than the packaged grocery aisles, but trust me your body and brain will thank you for it!
Include protein in every meal, especially breakfast! Protein not only fuels your body with energy, it also helps keep you full longer.
Eat your vitamins and minerals rather than popping them in pill form. Vitamins and minerals are essential for the ADHD brain, particularly vitamin C. Yes, it is so much easier just to swallow a pill, but they are not as effective as foods containing vitamins and minerals.
A few excellent brain food choices are:
*Almonds, avocado, blueberries, broccoli, cashews, sweet potatoes, and spinach.*
Keep in mind when consuming real foods, like the ones above, drenching them in sugar is not an option! This is one of the biggest mistakes I still see people make. They believe that if they are eating real food, it's okay to add sugar to the dish.
Yes, that sweet stuff might make those blueberries taste even better, but it's not healthy. In fact, sugar is addictive because it's found in almost every processed food known to man. Sugar is known for causing health problems like Diabetes and even tooth decay.
You will also want to limit your carbohydrates as well. Refined carbs are a specific no-no and should be used sparingly because they cause extreme fatigue in those with ADHD.
You should also consider omitting gluten foods from your diet since they have been known to increase symptoms of ADHD.
Dairy products have also been known to wreak havoc on ADHD symptoms. And if you need a real eye-opener, consider this, we are the only species to consume dairy products beyond the age of a newborn. We are also the only species to consume another species dairy source (*milk*). If you must have milk in your diet, consider a dairy alternative like almond milk.
Finally, don't just make it a habit of only consuming a liquid alternative like almond milk, however. Water is still one of the best resources to hydrate your brain and your body. When we are dehydrated, we tend to lose focus, become irritable, and more. Hydrating with pure simple water is essential in helping to minimize the symptoms of ADHD.
Still doing busy work here and loving it! Wrote another article for Read.cash. This time the topic is about clearing the clutter from your home when you are overwhelmed.

https://read.cash/@Thefightwithinher/clearing-the-clutter-when-youre-feeling-overwhelmed-46227fe5
Clearing the Clutter When You're Feeling Overwhelmed
Clutter is a thing of the past for many of us who dream of a more minimal lifestyle. But if you have **ADHD** clearing the clutter from your life may still be on your to-do list because you feel overwhelmed every time you think about cleaning. Believe me, you are not alone. https://anchor.fm/thefightwithinher/episodes/3-ADHD-and-How-Entrepreneurs-can-Benefit-From-Their-Symptoms-ef1k2a
The struggle is real and chances are you've told yourself that it's too much to do, or there isn't enough time. And if you are like me, you've probably convinced yourself that the clutter isn't that much. My art studio can verify that one!
Yet I've also learned that clutter isn't just overwhelming, it's downright stressful. That lingering mess is not just an eyesore, but a potential health concern! When we feel overwhelmed with tons of stuff staring back at us, it's not very pretty or relaxing, to say the least.
Those **piles of clutter** can also make us believe that we are hanging onto it, just in case we need it. We worry about getting rid of anything, so we don't until one day our home is so filled with clutter that we can barely find room to sit! Not to mention all of the upkeep and cleaning! I don't know about you, but I can find better things to do with my life than having to clean a ton of stuff! https://anchor.fm/thefightwithinher/episodes/48-The-Benefits-of-Living-a-Minimal-Lifestyle-eu64jb
Still, there is that overwhelming sensation that grabs those of us with ADHD. So how do you get past that feeling? Where do you begin?
It's a simple process. You only need about 10 minutes a day to clear through the clutter in your home. Tackling the mess in small bites helps to minimize those dreaded sensations that prevent us from our goal in the first place.
If 10 minutes seems like too much, try clearing it 5 minutes, or start with one small section instead of focusing on a time frame.
Not sure where to start?
**Your Clothes Closet -**
Take a peek inside of your clothes closet and ask yourself what have you not worn in over a year? What about those pants you thought would look great on you, but don't? How about that shirt you adore, but can't stand wearing because the fabric is uncomfortable? Are you still hanging onto old favorites that have seen their day?
If your closet is too big of a project, start with your dresser drawers. Even if you can only manage one drawer a day, do it!!!
Then while you are reducing the clutter, make note of anything that needs to be replaced. Keep in mind that replacing an article of clothing does not mean buying 4 new shirts to replace 1!
To keep clothing clutter to a minimum in the future, turn all of your hangers backward. Once you have worn that particular piece of clothing, turn the hanger forward. Anything that is still hanging on a backward hanger at the end of the year, donate, sell or toss.
The Junk Drawer -
You know the drawer. The one where all of the odds and ends that don't have a designated home go. Chances are you have one and chances are it's in the kitchen. Most junk drawers hold broken, leftover, or missing parts. If you haven't needed them in a year, toss it. You can always replace anything that is essential in your life, but honestly if it's been a year, do you even need to?
Kitchen Stuff -
While you are in the kitchen, sort through all of those extra dishes you don't need and donate them to someone who does! Sell or donate any appliances you thought would be nice to have, but ended up being a hassle to use. Do the same with any kitchen utensils you rarely use. And anything that is broken? If you haven't replaced or repaired it, do you need it?
The Bookcase -
For book lovers like myself, this goal may be difficult! I understand. I love reading, so when I started paring down my books, I felt lost! But I did find that there were several books that I knew I would never read and those I read once but never opened again. I donated them! I also had a few books I had intended to read but found myself passing them over each time I chose a book from my bookshelf. Yep, those books were donated as well! I had no excuses because, in all honesty, I hate dusting and books love dust!
Good Morning,
It's been a busy day already with writing articles. My latest at read.cash focuses on success! 💪

7 Sacrifices You Need to Make to if You Want to Succeed
Life is tough, but sometimes in order to live our dream life and succeed, we need to make a few sacrifices. And while we might not think so now, in the end, those sacrifices we make will lead us to success if we allow it.
Even if one step, one sacrifice at a time is all we can muster, then so be it. As long as we are on the road to success, even the smallest of steps count. But don't expect to win overnight because the battle has only just begun.
Sacrificing old habits is not always easy to break, but they can be broken as long as we continue to remain focused on those goals leading us to success.
Habits like:
**An Unhealthy Lifestyle -**
What you do to your body can ultimately break or make a successful person. And with so many of us still feeling the effects of the pandemic and other events happening in our world, our health should be of extreme importance.
Without your health intact, you are not the best you can be. You need to take control of your diet and eat healthy. You need to keep your body moving with exercise. **Start with small steps** like reducing sugar in your diet and going for a walk around the block each day. Energy is Power! https://anchor.fm/thefightwithinher/episodes/50-How-to-Be-Productive-as-a-Mom-Working-From-Home-eupe44
An Unhealthy Mindset -
Successful people have a positive mindset. They know that a negative frame of mind doesn't get us very far in life. **Listening to toxic people** also does not get us very far in life. If you or the people you know are reminding you that you don't have what it takes to become successful, it's time you take a stand. Take those negative thoughts and turn them into positive ones. https://anchor.fm/thefightwithinher/episodes/51-How-to-Turn-a-Negative-Moment-into-a-Positive-Opportunity-ev0f84
Allowing a Great Opportunity to Pass You by -
If you are skipping every opportunity that comes your way, you will never become successful. Opportunities are a chance at making your dream life a reality. It's also a chance to show the world that you are worth listening to. Stop being scared of life and start living it! Take that chance!
Stop with the Excuses -
We have all had days where nothing seems to go our way and that's okay. But don't make excuses when life isn't at its greatest. If you want to be successful, you have got to take responsibility for your life. Excuses only set us back. Don't make excuses.
**Not Expanding Your Knowledge -**
It's one thing to have the necessary skills to obtain your dream goals. But if you're only relying on your skills and nothing else, you won't be as successful as you'd hoped to be. Take your success to the next level by learning a new skill. Continue to learn even when you don't think it is necessary. You may even find that you love it!
Don't Fall For The Get Rich Quick Scheme -
Success is not built overnight. You will not get rich quick. I don't care how many websites or articles there are dedicated to it. Most of what you will find is a scam. It's someone pretending to be a millionaire overnight by test driving a nice car and doing photo ops before they return it to the dealership. Photos and words can fool the eye, but the truth is never far behind.
The only way you will build success is by working towards your goals every day. You'll be making sacrifices you never thought were possible, but the reward will be great in the end.
Don't Get Distracted by Television -
While there is nothing wrong with watching a good movie or television show after your day is done, if you're constantly distracted by the television all day, it's a problem. Leave the tv off when you are working on your dream goals, plain and simple. Your future depends on it.
Wow! What a day! Made food for dinner, only to find out none left for me when it was time to eat. 😳
Went out to pick up some food I could eat only to realize my car keys fell out of my pocket without realizing it, luckily in the car, but I had locked the car before I realized it! Good news was I only had 1 mile to walk to pick up the spare set of car keys. But aftering getting back home, the food that I purchased that is not good reheated had turned cold. to eat food that turned cold after that hour walk. Then I get online a few minutes ago, only to discover some fool pretending to to be actor Vin Diesel sent me a friend's request. Not a first, won't be a last, but today is not a day to mess with me.
So shout out to myself for exposing the fraud and busting his arse!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂
Good Morning,
It's one of those days where I don't feel up to writing, so I'm doing some other side hustle work at: https://paidviewpoint.com/?r=9ktxxl to pay the bills instead! 💪💪💪💪
Good Afternoon,
It's supposed to be my day off, but I decided to write an article on happiness today! No negativity here today! 💪💪💪

How to Be Happy in Life
The thoughts inside of our heads often reflect on how we truly feel about ourselves, even when that self-talk is negative. We have the ability to control them, to refuse to allow them to affect the decisions we make, the actions we take, and even our self-worth, yet we stand back and do nothing.
We give in to the **negative talk**, which can lead to anxiety, stress, and worrying, so much in fact that it can cause us to feel sad and even depressed. It can turn small issues into major ones, and it steals your happiness. https://anchor.fm/thefightwithinher/episodes/How-to-Take-That-Risk-Even-When-Youre-Afraid-eo2vb1
Why do we do this to ourselves? Why do we put ourselves down with negative self-talk? We have the power to choose. We are in control of our destiny, our lives. You can either choose to live in fear for the rest of your life or you can decide you are worth all of the happiness in the world. You deserve to be happy.
And while it might not be possible to be happy every single day of your life, there is no reason you should spend it being downright miserable and depressed either.
Our lives will never be perfect. There will always be that possibility of a not-so-perfect day where you just want to throw in that towel and give up. But don't allow a bad day to become a reason or excuse to be hard on yourself with negative talk. Turn those negative thoughts into positive ones. Take control of your life.
Choose happiness And:
**Be Aware of the Negative Thoughts -**
If you truly want to live a happier life, you have to be aware of your negative self-talk and stop it in it's tracks before it happens. As soon as you realize it's happening, stop and turn those thoughts into positive chatter.
**Fight Back -**
The truth is we tend to stay quiet when we put ourselves down. We nod our heads silently and agree with the destructive criticism in our heads. We have got to fight back! We must be willing to take a stand and tell our inner critic that it's just not true! Stop arguing with yourself. Your best friend wouldn't talk to you that way, why should you?
**Don't Believe the Excuses -**
You might excuse yourself from a situation or the dinner table, but it certainly does not mean you should bring the excuses out when you feel like you deserve it. Don't make excuses when you cut yourself down. Negative talk is negative talk just as excuses are excuses and nothing more.
We all deserve to be happy even when the situation seems hopeless. Don't allow the negative thoughts to steal that happiness. Take control!
Good Thursday Morning,
It's cold and snowing here in the US. I'm really not liking it. I was hoping the warm weather would stay. It's snowing here although you can't tell from the photo! 😭
