Be Courageous and Be Brave in the New 2021 Year

It's another cold day here in Kansas. I'm not feeling the courage to go outside and face the chill and sometimes that's okay.  The truth is, I'm on a mission! I'm focused on putting one foot in front of the other right now because I know if I don't, I won't achieve my #1 goal of increasing my online income into the 2021 new year.  But I'm not always as motivated as I am today. There are days when my ADHD takes over and all the what if's are charging forth like a bad dream stuck on repeat. I mean seriously, what if no one wants to read what I write? What if no one wants to listen to my podcast? What if I'm terrible? What if my novel doesn't become a number 1 bestseller? What if people really don't like my paper mache art? What if I have been wasting my time and countless hours creating something that no one cares about? What if?  I know, I know. It's only FEAR talking. But believe me, I have never felt more scared when those What If's rear their ugly head.  Here's the thing though, when you put yourself out there to the world, when you step out of your comfort zone and push yourself, you will experience what we know as FEAR.  Want to know what else, there are times when we don't even realize that it is FEAR that often holds us back. We call it everything but it's true name. We call it, procrastination, or worry, or anxiety, and even that butterfly feeling we get sometimes. It can even feel like depression.  Yet underneath it all, it is what it is, and that is FEAR. But sometimes, it really is okay to be afraid. Just don't let your fears hold you back, don't allow them to control your life, your goals, your dreams.  Courage doesn't mean you have nothing to be scared of, instead, it allows us to take action, to break free from that fear even if just for one brief moment. Just remember this, my friend, as long as you are putting one foot in front of the other, keeps going because, in the end, it all comes down to the steps you are willing to take to get there.
