People are more inclined to talking to those who they feel share the same thoughts or goals as them, for this reason, effective communication plays a vital role. Why do you think people would want to talk to those with whom they speak the same language other than those with different language?

Because if you share something in common, both individuals will be able to relate well. You said language. So if I'm speaking a different language and you are speaking a different one too, how will we relate. So yeah, we must have the same kind of relation to be able to speak and understand each other.
