If the BTC maximalists would stop attacking BCH, I'd feel a lot better about them. No, BTC is not the "real Bitcoin", especially since it has been taken over by folks who don't seem to mind centralization. Suppose the BTC maximalists would admit that BCH is better as digital cash, but that BTC is better as an investment because of its institutional support? Even if you didn't agree with them, (I would reluctantly), you could at least deal with a claim like this, because it has some backing in reality.

  Well, it's a very good sign for BCH that we are being attacked. It shows they cannot ignore us. If BTC side admits "BCH is the better digital cash", they will be finished pretty quickly. Because the whitepaper says "a peer to peer electronic cash", and therefore they will be admitting we are the real Bitcoin and everything will come undone with their branding. But we'll see, you're right they have to face up to reality at some point.

"We are not white paper fundamentalists ...." So when it is in their interest to be "fundamentalists", they are, but when it isn't, they aren't? I'm sick of this whole BTC vs. BCH mess. Why can't BOTH coins exist in peace? Invest in BTC, but use BCH as digital cash? If you look into the history of the BCH fork, there was a lot of bad acting on the part of the folks who wound up supporting BTC after the split.
