Verbal abuse is more detrimental than physical abuse.
Have you been a victim of some sort of abuse? May it be verbal abuse, physical abuse or emotional abuse? How do you handle your feelings and emotions when you experience such abuse?
Chaos is everywhere and pain has been the consistent result of chaos. It has been there since the beginning of time and people have been used to it. They have experience pain from infanthood till adulthood and even up to this present we all still experience pain.
There are different forms of pain and it has different effect to every individual. There is this type of pain that is human induced and there is not. Whatever pain you are experiencing right now it has served one purpose, and that is to destruct your normal state and would cause chaos to your mind, body and soul. Those pain are naturally happening in our lives without our very control and such pains are inevitable. But there is this kind of pain that is purposively created by human beings that are most dangerous and most destructive ones.
Pain is ubiquitous. We always experience pain because we are just human beings and we always react to the environment around us. We are not immune to any harmful things. We are biological beings and we tend to respond to the stimuli around us.
Today, we will be discussing the difference between physical abuse and verbal abuse. We will look into the difference of the two. Which do you think is the most detrimental one, the pain that comes from the body or the pain that comes from the soul.
I’m gonna share with you my personal experience about pain both physical and emotional aspects. Growing up, I’ve always been a shy person. I don’t really conserve with people around me. I am too shy that I don’t even know how to deal with strangers. When someone would call my attention and start a conversation with me, I would always make a way to avoid that person.
I don’t want to indulge into any conversation because I don’t even know how to deal with it to begin with. I have always been hiding in my shell that I don’t even wish of talking with any person. I get used myself to being alone and doing stuff on my own. I have accustomed my self to doing things that would not involve any other people because I am happy being alone.
I just came to realize that the reason I that I acted this way because I have been a victim of physical and emotional abuse. I just learned it late that these actions of mine have a direct correlation with the formative years that I had.
My parents use to scold me and beat me every time I commit mistakes. They would always administer disciplinary actions every single day even I have done no wrong. I have been used to that scenario to the point that I feel these things are just normal.
I used to think that beating and punching are just the normal way of disciplining a child. I used to believe that this is the only way to make your child walk in the right path. I endured all those pains. I never retaliated to them even once. I just thought to myself that I am the problem not them.
The physical pain that I have been getting from my parents have created an indelible scar in my body and also in my heart. I has distorted my idea of love and family. I confused my young mind on how to show love to the people you care most.
Aside from the pain caused by physical afflictions, the most excruciating pain I got was the emotional damaged that I got through verbal pain. I have been a receipt of all the derogatory words that are thrown to me by my dad. He used to compare me with my siblings. He would always let me feel that I am not, that I am not worthy and that I am unwanted. Those pain that I got directly form my father’s mouth are ten times hurtful than a thousand beatings. I really felt that I was the jerk of the family. I was the caused of all problems and predicaments that we are experiencing.
Now I came to realize that all these pains can be overcome and we can definitely move on from this. We have to believe in ourselves that we are powerful human beings that we can do everything that we can. That nothing is impossible for someone who believes. That we are just being tested in life. That we can surely conquer all the trails in life. Now that I know all of these and now that I know my worth, I am no longer slave to fear. And these pains become my strength instead of agony.
Metaverse land vs. Real estate.
Everybody wants to have a better future and while we are still young we do everything that we can to invest our money into things that will yield a higher return in the end. The biggest challenge that every investor is facing nowadays is the question of where they should invest their money and what are the risks that they may possibly face when they enter such investment.

You can have your home of choice if you were able to buy the property earlier than others but if you came in late, then you have no choice but to buy on whatever is available.
The term metaverse can be traced back to Neal Stephenson and his dystopian cyberpunk novel Snow Crash. The novel was released in 1992, and it’s considered a canon of the genre, along with William Gibson’s Neuromancer, which describes a virtual reality dataspace called the matrix.
Since Facebook rebranded as Meta on October 28, 2021, the nebulous concept that inspired the new name has been a hot topic of discussion. It opens the door of metaverse land to get known to the people. This metaverse concept was not that clear to the people until the blockchain technology and crypto currency came in.
Since then metaverse land has been available for public by gaining ownership on that particular asset. This is a digital asset where people can do whatever they want on that certain property. Not only individual users are buying on the metaverse land, but also companies who are interested to invest on it are riding on the hype. Some of the most well knowns metaverse games are Decentraland, Sandbox and Axie infinity. They have their own tokens that you can use for buying and selling.
There are downsides and upsides that we can see when we invest in these things. One of the upsides is the idea of how liquid it is. You can definitely buy any of the property of metaverse land without worrying about your location. Since everything happens digitally you won’t get the hassle of maintaining the order of this asset. You don’t need to hire someone to take care of this property and keep an eye on it. In metaverse it is not dependent on where you actually live. You do not have to worry also about the economic uncertainty and political uncertainty of the asset because unlike real estate property the value of a certain asset would not depend on the economy of the country where you live in.
For metaverse it is easy for people to jump in and jump out. But the downside of investing in metaverse is the uncertainty of a certain project that you have bought in. The success of your investment would definitely depend on how good the project is.
If the developers are not doing so much marketing about their product and if they just rely on the people to come in and buy their assets then there is really no clear direction on where that project is heading into. Call center agents: boon or bane?
“Thank You for calling, how may I help you?” This is the common opening spiel that we usually hear from thousands of customer service representatives not just in the Philippines, not just in Asia but all over the world. From early in the morning till midnight, call center agents are relentlessly working 24/7, seven days a week. Business process outsourcing has been the bread and butter for a lot of Filipinos nowadays. Who would have thought that this type of job would be a saving grace for the hundreds and thousands of our fellowmen. Account associate or commonly known as customer service representative is highly in demand today than before. A lot of people are now considering this as their main job than taking it as a part time job. Even people who have completed their four year degree course are also taking this path than landing a job related to their field or related to their professions. If you think of call center agent what comes first in your mind? Maybe you would imagine someone who is working in the office. You may think of someone who is computer savvy or you might envision someone is good in communication skills. Well, all of these are true, because being a call center agent is such a diverse job description. It is not limited only to data entry of answering customer’s query and solving their daily problems but it would also involve critical thinking, data analyzing and good decision making.
I can say that being a call center agent is not an easy task. You must be a well rounded person to qualify for this position. Many people wish to try to venture in this type of job but only few are chosen, only a fraction of applicants are lucky enough to advance to the final interview and blessed enough to land a job.
Let me tell you what are the pros and cons in working in a call center industry. I will explain to you why a lot of people are being attracted to enter in this world and why some are hesitant to pursue their dream and to another type of job instead.
I myself have been a customer service representative for more that seven years already, and I am proud to say that I have maximised my skills and abilities working in this industry. It is true that working in a call center is not easy. You have to experience a lot of mistakes and get multiple reprimands from your superior but despite of that you still continue to press on since you know that it is part of the process and each one of us is a work in progress.
After I graduated from college I decided to apply for one of the premier call center companies in our city and lucky enough I was accepted and hired a account associate I. I Couldn’t express how happy I was since that company was one of my dream companies. I prepared myself before I went to that place. I made sure that I am ready to answer all of the possible questions that will be thrown to me. I was so determined and confident that I would pass the interview and hopeful that I would be included in the family of that company.
After a few days, the human resource personnel contacted me and scheduled me for a training in a financial account. I was part of wave one and a pioneering account in that company. I was so excited because that was my first company after college and also my first BPO company. There were so many first times that I experienced in that company. I was not a good communicator and I was so afraid to speak in front of people but because of that job I have learned so many things that until now I can still apply to any of my future job.
Now this time, allow me to tell you the pros and cons of working in the call center company.
Good points
• Working in call center develops your communication skills.
• It develops your critical thinking skills.
• It makes you a decisive person.
• It develops your character and makes you a well rounded person.
• It is a high paying job and the salary is lucrative.
Bad points
• It is somehow stressful for newbies.
• You can’t choose a specific time that is convenient to you.
• Your breaktime is limited.
• Internet connection is sometimes a struggle.

“You cannot give what you do not have.” this is the common phrase that you might have heard from the people around you. Maybe, you haven’t grasped the true meaning of its phrase before but you can sense that it is somehow true. There’s a truth in that statement because truly enough you cannot really give what you do not have. Whatever blessings that you receive daily, you are able to share it with other people because your container of blessings is already full. And being a generous person you are much willing to give it to others.
As a person who has been blessed with material things it has been my practice to donate whatever I have to the poor. May it be an old stuff or new things that i have just bought i always make sure that i can share it to the ones in need. Ever since when i was a kid my parents taught me on how to be grateful on whatever blessings that i have. They have opened my mind to the reality of this world and helped me understand the deepest need of every human being. There are so many problems in this world and people are desperate of any help but only few people have the hearts of giving.
Every one of us has different struggles in life and we do have different predicament but we only have one cry and that is to solve the dilemma that we are facing everyday. For some people they are lucky enough as they have been born and raised to a family that is already rich. They don’t need to exert much effort in surviving in life as their fore parents have done this for them. Since childhood their parents and grand parents are already affluent and they are now the heirs of the said wealth. Well, lucky for them cause they were born with golden spoon and platter. But that is just the small percentage of people in the world as majority of the population is precariously poor. Yes, it is true that there are selected elite who have been living a luxurious life and they are enjoying the life that they have but we cannot abnegate the fact that there is a huge number of people who are poor and uncivilized and even some are not able to go to school due to financial problems.
Despite of this fact, we can still do something to alleviate the economic status of our country and to the people in the world. By doing a little good, this would definitely make some impacts on the people involved. We can share a little food or even old clothes that we no longer use. In that sense, we can help those poor people who don’t have extra budget to buy clothes for their family. You don’t have to be a philanthropist to help these poor people cause even a single penny would definitely make an impact on their lives.
Now let me remind you that if we truly love the people around us and if we really wanna make an impact to this world, we have to do our part as a responsible individual and someone who has a generous heart. We change lives by providing an immediate relief so that people may also feel the blessing that we experience.
There are so many reasons why we have to give and share what we have and these are the following:
1. Giving will make us joyful- every time we give a part in us is being fulfilled. We feel satisfied and grateful for the the blessings that we received and also for the opportunity that we share this to others.
2. Giving is good for our mental health- when we give it cause positive reactions within our body and in involves the participation of our hormones that would somehow affect our mental health in a good way.
3. Giving evokes gratitude- it promotes gratitude to someone receiving the gifts and also to someone giving the gifts. We become more thankful to God for the over flowing blessings and also for the person we give for the rare opportunity that we have in flourishing this skill.
4. Giving is contagious- one we activate the act of giving the people observing around us can’t help but to share as well what they have. They become more kind and generous when they see people around them are generous as well.

So, what did I do to sustain my daily needs? Instead of feeling down and lose hope, I look for ways on how I can earn money. I didn't have any idea about cryptocurrency back then. What I only have in my mind was to look for ways on how I can earn money,may it be in a form of active income or passive income. Hence, I tried to search on the internet on how I can start a new job and when I can start earning money as the money in my saving account could help me for the remaining days to come.
Anyway, so you know, even if I lost my job I still have some extra saving that I have in my bank. So, I withdrew all the money that I had in my bank account and tried to use it for business or invest it.
One night, I tried to search on youtube on ways that we could increase our wealth and accidentally, I was directed to a certain video that talks about bitcoin. By that time then, I don't have any idea what bitcoin is and what is the importance of it.Therefore, I ring my friend Netskie if she heard about cryptocurrency and bitcoin. Then, she got surprised that I asked about it because that is something that she has been doing for more that three months already and lucky enough she did invest some of her money to cryptocurrency.
I told her that I want to try investing in this stuff and asked her if we could meet so that volunteer to teach me how to start investing in it. I was so thankful that she was so willing to help me. And she explained to me everything about cryptocurreny and what are the strategies that I need to do so that I could grow my money. So, after our meeting and short convocation, I did try doing it myself and true enough there are things that are confusing at first. I had so many things that I didn't understand at first but I was able to uncover all of it in the long run. It was really a timely moment for me that I entered cryptocurrency because that was the time also that the market was so low, like all the coins were sale.
So, I decided to put five thousand pesos on it and after six months that five thousand became fifty thousand. It was a huge leap of asset that I experienced. Now you might wonder how did he do that? Why it took this amount to reach that high? Well, the anser for that is research, research, research. Yeah! day by day I engaged myself into a lot of research so that I could understand which coins are best to invest. I tried to understand its fundamentals and use case including its tokenamics as well as the market capitalization.
Well, it was not an easy money cause I still need to seek guidance from my other friends who also ventured to cryptocurrency. I tried remembering and grasping all the advice that they gave me. I was prudent enough in choosing which toke to buy and why should I buy them. After I got the conviction of which coin to buy and hold, I immediately bought them. I continued making a research about that coins and also I keep myself updated with what is happening in the news. I did not limit myself in learning fundamental analysis but I also tried my best to study and understand the technical analysis and sentimental analysis.
Among these things,technical analysis in the most challenging one as it requires more thinking and analising. You may not understand the chart at a single glance but that is something that you can master as time goes by. Now, why did I say that you may consider cryptocurrency as an investment? Well, I don't wanna sound imposing but I just wanna let you know that this is something that I experienced myself and I was earning from it. I was able to increase my wealth without doing so much effort as it is considered a passive income. And the good thing about it is that, cryptocurrency market is very volatile, unlike stock market it has more opportunity for you to gain a massive income and multiply your money much. The rule for this game is simple, buy low sell high. You should inculcate in your mind that you should never sell an asset in which amount is lower than your buying price. The only downside of getting in crypto currency is the uncertainty of the coin's future.
No one has a full certainty on what would be the fate of a certain coin, because when that project will not thrive then you might have a tendency of losing you money as well unless, that project is able to recover on the coming years and at the moment you would only experience an impermanent loss. It is called cryptocurrency because it uses encyption to verify transactions. This sophisticated ways of coding information is being transmitted between wallets and to public ledger. The aim of cryptocurrency is to revolutionize the world of commerce. It is to make our lives easy while providing security and safety of our wealth.
Bitcoin was considered the first cryptocurrency and was founded in 2009. The real founder or founders remained unkown until this day, but they named him as Satoshi Nakomoto. Bitcoin is now considered a store of value as it will become deflationary in the near future and its value will go high and high soon.
For us to fully understand the importance of cryptocurrency and why it exists, we have to know also how it works and what are its use cases. Cryptocurrencies run on a distributed public ledger called blockchain. It is a digitally distributed, decentralized, public ledger that exists across a network. Blockchain is the technology itself while cryptocurrency is the product of this technology.
In order to own a certain cryptocurrency you have to get it through mining or you have to buy it from a certain exchange. There are so many types of cryptocurrency available in the market and one these are bitcoins and other bluechips alternative coins such as etherium, cardano, tether, etc.

Cardano- cardano is another alternative coin that has a promising use case. The main goal of the plaform is to implement all the best feature of litecoin, bitcoin anf etherium into one cryptocurrency:complementing the resulting mixture with a number of additional innovative technologies. A lot of people are holdinh this coin for it has a huge potential and it has a chance to go to the moon this year 2022.

Why Davao is considered the most habitable place in the Philippines?
When you think of living in an urban yet bucolic place, or spending the rest of your life with your loved ones, what is the first city that comes in your mind? You might say Manila or Cebu or maybe Quezon City. Those cities I mentioned above are examples of progressive cities here in the Philippines and people who live there are living a busy lives. Philippines is an archipelago that is composed of many cities and towns and when you think of the cities it comprised, you should not omit Davao as one of the finest cities. Yes! You heard it right. Davao City! I am not kidding but yes it is. Davao city is considered the most habitable city in the Philippines. Not everyone knows about it, but beginning from its socio-conomic status to the progressive buildings and structures it has, to its safety and security down to its people, I can really say that Davao is the best place to live. Now, everything that I say here would be of no value if I wouldn't back it up with a substantive explanation as to why I chose Davao as the most habitable place to live in the country. So here are the following reasons:
**Soci-economic status**: when it comes to the city's buildings and structures you can really tell that Davao is far better than any other cities in the Philippines. They have innovated their old buildings into a new ones and made it more sophisticated than before. Davao is riched with local products that have been exported not just within Asia but also in Europe and in America. Davao city has so many fruits and palatable delicacies that are unique from other places in Mindanao. Businessmen are coming in Davao because they know that their company will thrive if they would put their business in this city. When you walk around the heart of the city you will see restaurants and malls that are owned by investors both filipino and foreign. With collective effort of the Davawenos and other race, the city has greatly progressed throught the years. Despite the gloom brought by pandemic, investors remained resilient and optimistic to continue their business here in Davao. Some of the business tycoons have collaborated with their other friends just to strengthen the socio-economic status of the city.
**Safety and Security**: Davao is a busy city that you would see people coming around from morning till dawn. And since people are everywhere you cannot eliminate the idea if the safety of its city is their highest priority. And true enough, Davao is safer since to then and now. You will never worry walking around or jogging within the park because you can assure that the city has police officers that are roaming around 24/7. There are cameras along the streets so that people such as locals including the tourists are well monitored. You have the confidence as well to go to crowded areas such as parks and movie cinemas because you know that even there are safe. There are travellers also that are coming in and out within the city and based on their experience they would still choose to visit again Davao if given a chance. The criminal rate within the city is decreasing over the years and this is because of the initiative of our local officials and police officers who have been doing their best to make davao as the safest place in the Philippines.
**Tourist destinations and Recreation**: When you look at the beautiful sceneries within the city you will really get amazed on how ingenious the people of Davao are. But that could not compare the beauty that it has when you look at the nature. Davao is best known for its beautiful places. May it be in the mountain parts of the city or the marvelous beaches in the south. Davao city has so many beaches that are so wonderful and amazing. These beaches have beem featured not just within the Philippines but even abroad. Many tourists have also discovered the beauty of davao. You will surely enjoy yourself basking in the heat of the sun. If you are the adventurous type of person also you can try some mountain climbing and trail trekking that is so fun and enjoyable. I guaranteed you will never regret doing such as more and more people have decome addicted to this extreme yet fun activity. If you stroll within thr city you will also see the parks and museums that are created by Davao's finest artists. You will see so much pride as you visit those places. You will fully understand the history of Davao and feel its heart by just looking at those arts that have been preserved even today.
**People:** You often hear that the best asset of every city is not its material products but its people. And that is true indeed to the people of Davao City. The people there are so kind and hospitable that they almost accompany you to the place where you are going whenever you seek direction from them. They will painstakingly guide you and lead you to the right direction whenever you are confused of where to go. They are also good in communicating english so this would be more advantageous to foreign people. Dabawenyos are so disciplined that they always follow rules no matter how simple or intricate it is. They are obedient to what ever the command of their mayor to them. Dabawenyos are happy people as well. The people have been through a lot of hurdles but they where able to overcome it. Last 2019, there were so many tragic events that happened in the city. There were earthquake, floods, fire, and other natural calamities that hit the city and affected a lot of people. But they are so resilient that they are able to extricate themselves from the havoc that they've experience. Public and private sectors have been working hand in hand to extend their help the most affected ones. Relief goods have been sent and disseminated to the affected areas. Despite of that tragic you would still see the smile of their faces as Dabawenyos are grateful and happy people.
