Mansa Musa

Mansa Musa 1 of Mali (1280-1337) was so rich that it was reported that he built a mosque every Friday during his one-year (1324-1325) sojourn to Mecca from Cairo, Egypt. On his return, Manda Musa brought back many Arabic Scholars and Architects who would build Mosque and Universities that would make the Mali Empire famous.
