Good evening lovely friends! This was another lively performance from yesterday. What a fabulous show!! The dancers were mostly adults and the biggest group. (maybe 30- 50 members, from Mamo's region, Kyustendil). It's remarkable how they work together, everyone was synchronized. This is what you call teamwork. Here is another lively and energetic performance from the Folklore Festival. A group of teenagers. It was a bit warm that day, their costumes and the dance moves made them even warmer. But they didn't mind it at all. It made me appreciate the time and the effort that they put into the show and the organizers. We went home delighted. It's a bit rainy and gloomy the whole day. Mamo made Brandnetel soup. ( freshly picked from the garden )These leaves are like spinach, with lots of health benefits as well. I prepared potato burgers. After a surprise visit to Mamo's cousin, we decided to stop by another relative ( mom's side) Mamo has a house in this village and owns some piece of land. Having this kind of space is kinda pricey in other EU countries. We stayed there for a while, their garden is huge overlooking the mountain. It's a breathtaking view. What a lovely day! It feels like summer already. When Rimbie came back from school, we had lunch in the garden. The herring fish was delicious, it tastes like sardines when it's baked. This is the Struma river, unbelievably this river passes up to Greece. Another hot day, I'm loving this kind of weather. We went to the market and bought more peppers. I never get tired of looking at them, they are very sociable. You'll notice in photo 4, that there's elevated and uneven soil. I was awoken by the knock, I thought somebody was outside. I looked around but there was no one. When I opened the terrace door, a bird flew right away as soon as I got out. It was a woody woodpecker trying to wake me up lol. Early this morning, the farm owner next door was training one of the horses in a round pen. I feel like it's Friday today lol. I had a nice walk in the field this afternoon, there was nobody except some sheep and horses. Iris flowers are coming out beautifully. The grain field looks healthy. It's all green everywhere. I wonder when the wheat is going to be harvested? The moody weather makes me sleepy lol. My friend Monica picked me up yesterday and we went to Moreton in Marsh for groceries. I invited her to come by this afternoon. I cooked fried rice and seabass fish.
