Another year, another blessing for me. Happy birthday to those who are celebrating their birthdays this month. Cheers!!!! It was a simple celebration, (Basta may pancit lols) we had lunch in the garden and chitchat for a while. Then we had a cuppa tea and cake in the afternoon. "Tutmanik"Cheese bread. We have so many leaks in our garden. Mamo baked this cheese bread the other day. What's inside? It has feta cheese, eggs and leaks. She also baked the half without eggs, cheese or butter for hubby, so we can all enjoy it together. It's always addictive once you have a small bite you won't stop lols. Wuz up lovely friends? Tara na at mamalengke lols. We had a busy weekend. My sister in law came and we celebrated our birthdays together (a few days apart ) Mamo and I cooked summer dishes for lunch. Good evening lovely friends. I fried red peppers for lunch, they looked so sweet from the outside, but oh boy, oh boy we underestimated these peppers, they were so spicy !! Another hot summer day, we went downtown at 1800 and grabbed pizza. Then we went to Lidl and got some ice cream. It's a bit cooler in the afternoon. Good evening everyone. When we had dinner with our friends last week, we prepared Baklava for dessert. Mamo instructed us how to make it extra delicious :):) It was sooooo good. Yummm yummmy! Baklavaaaa! Ingredients: Baklava sheets 1 kg walnuts sugar Syrup Making Baklava is like making egg rolls :) Then bake in the oven until golden brown. Lastly, add sugar syrup, pour it in the baklava. I just wanna share these cute kittens. They are Mamo's happiness (She treated them like her own children ) @KrisCastro here are some of them of our kittens :):) Rimbie named them all already and Mamo approved :):) These kittens have a good life, they love to eat, sleep , play and then repeat. This bread is better than my pita bread. She's kinda pro when it comes to baking. Next time, I will try to make it, I really want to get the recipe right. It's crunchy on the edges, fluffy and soft. Howdy lovely people! How are you doin? This morning, hubby and I planned to go to the market to buy watermelon. But then he saw they were discounted online in one of the supermarkets. (15 cents/kilo) I wasn't surprised when he ordered 70 kg. We eat watermelon every day ( for breakfast, lunch and midnight snacks.) Within an hour they delivered them, 17 pieces of watermelons oh la laaaa. They were a bit smaller but they were sweet. We were lucky :):) The season will be over…

It's plum day! This morning we went to the market and bought 1 case 17 kg of plums! (30 cents/kilo) The seller allowed us to taste some. She said that these plums were only good for making "rakiya" (brandy) . She undervalued her own product. Oh boy, oh boy. They were the sweetest!! Mamo was delighted to see a bag full of plums.
