Try to do understand the problems of employees,, Don't keep quiet if you have to involve in any problem. Always keep meetings with employees in thier issues. Then only friendly atmosphere will develops. Sometimes you need to be stubborn in some issues also without any hesitation put your point infront of everyone in the office.
