Update on my haircut story- I took advices from everyone here and concluded to not reduce the length of my hair. I went in to get them shaped, AND NOT TO REDUCE THE LENGTH OF MY HAIR. I knew what I wanted, and made sure the hairdresser knew what I wanted. And now I look like a headless chicken-.-' I kinda knew this would happen, this is why I've been postponing the visit. (It could be my fault too. Instead of a straight cut, I asked for a step cut. But I don't remember asking to shorten the length)
