The kind of advice I give to my friends- You should learn xyz skill. And then I would inform them about the best place to learn and a cheaper alternative. I also really motivate them to do so. The kind of advice I receive from my friends- You should leave him. Distance relationships never work. And somehow I end up taking their advice. I don't know if they're being toxic or care for me.

I wouldn't rush things and wait and see how life develops. Of course you think about it, but you can also postpone the decision. The same way it started with me. It turned into living together and now I'm single and in a long-distance relationship with my son. (Does that sound wrong?)
You are wise. We're going back and forth whether to end it, or whether one of us moves. He lives not too far and can visit me during the weekend. I was in a ldr with a person who lived in Europe then, which went on for three years. We met only once. Though it ended, we're good friends and I don't regret the relationship. Somehow he also lives in the same city as this person.
Lmao, this was meant for the previous post, but I won't be allowed to delete and comment to the right place now, so I'm leaving it here! ๐ธ๐ธ Take care and don't regret, just take the feedback and adjust your course! ๐ And also (related to this post, as @TheBlackDoll wrote too), a combination of taking advise from (real) friends and trusting your gut feeling (with more emphasis on the later one) is crucial. Not all people that we consider friends are really that, and even if they are, they can be wrong (especially if they are fast to judge). But they also may be right even by mistake, you have to observe the boyfriend's character too and decide if he is a good person and with no toxic traits/ tendencies. You have to for your own self, not for anyone else. Of course we also learn a lot of things from heart-break and from mistakes and it's a struggle to balance between regrets for making the wrong choice because we went for it vs regrets for being cowards! Human brain and heart, go figure.. ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ
Gut feeling.... always listen to your gut feeling. when the whole world says "do something" and your sixth sense says "F no.." then F no it is.... and this might seem harsh but stop giving friks about your friends and their advice :)
