I spent the last few days crying which was a consequence of joblessness. I'm not unemployed, I'm simply jobless. I've been thinking a lot too. My career was decided by my father. I just followed through. It would be my Mum who'd decide whom I shall marry. So basically, the first half of my life was ruined by my father, and my mom plans to ruin the second half. Sometimes I feel I'm just watching a show, and I do not get to participate in my own life.

Please be patient, this is being told to you by a man who has lived 54 years and been in very difficult positions. The storms will pass and I know that now you want it to happen right now, but you must wait, and you will see over the months you will find happiness in each of the things you do. You are a young woman (I wish I could be your age again and complain about that kind of thing, currently I complain about pain and health problems hahaha), but the point is that I promise you that everything will pass and you will be very happy in a few years . For now I would focus on enjoying learning to play an instrument, dedicating myself to a hobby and specializing in it, maybe that will help time pass faster and distract you. I hope my words are useful to you.
Hello and thank you for writing for me/talking to me. I'm only 24 and I'm already beginning to believe that my life is over/ruined by my parent's career decisions for me. But it's contrasting too. According to most, my life should just be starting! The worst part it, the storms have passed. I'm on the other side now. I've cleared my exams, found a decent paying job, and I'm in a healthy relationship. Yet, I feel suffocated. Things aren't going the way I'd like. I understand that's a lot to ask from nature, because things will never happen my way. The part that upsets me is this- things are happening according to my parent's say. The claim the right to every basic decision of my life. And it is suffocating.
Your last 2 posts show so many twists, I've forgotten who the real you is!
