Increased numbers of rumors about Crypto.com, Gate.io and more other exchanges use customer funds / tokens in other exchanges. Need to confirm but recently dark clouds move on crypto sector and market sediment is not positive.

I think all of exchanges use customer funds (aka fractional reserve). The only question is how much of funds... 5% 50% 99% ?
You are right. The percentage is the key. On the other hand, ordinary customer perception nowadays is too sensitive because of the FTX case and much easier decision-making about leave their regular exchange to move in a DEX , no percentage at the moment of how much funds already left major CEXs to DEXs. Recent price increase of DXDY, Uni, etc and wallet tokens such as C98 and other can be a rough indicator.
