Funny encounter: Electric shock
Happy weekend guys!
How is that part of the earth? It has been raining here and the weather is so cold, my people refers to this kind of weather as **"weather for two"**( weather for people in relationship) Lol. May God have mercy.
***I had a funny experience earlier today's morning and I would like to share.***
First of all, have you been shocked once by electricity? If yes, how did you feel? It's always a funny but serious experience.
Okay, yesterday night we had a power outage in my workplace. We don't use a public light, so the generator is always on standby. Also, we have an alternative plant installed in a branch of our company, that when ever there's need, we quickly call the people in charge to turn it on. Meanwhile, the distance between the two branches is not much.
The power outage occured around 8:00pm yesterday, we tried to switch on the generator yesterday but it refused and it was late already, so we couldn't call a mechanic to check and resolve the issue.
We were left with one option; to switch on the one at the other branch so we could use it to utilize for the remaining period left before closure. Our manager called through, the Generator was turned on and it was all good yesterday.
This morning, our manager fell sick, so I had to occupy for him. Normally I resume work by 7:30am but he called me to help to stand for him, that his body is heavy. Not that he'd be questioned if he doesn't come, he just want to make sure everything is smoothly handled. So I got to work by 6:15am to open the office for other staffs to work.
Due to I was in charge, I went to switch on the generator to see if miracle will happen but miracle wasn't ready, miracle was still sleeping. LOL.
So I took two kegs of 25litres of diesel and conveyed to the other branch. Hey! I drove(should be rode?) motorcycle this morning. I got there and I poured just one of the kegs. The manager of the branch was with me there, I tried to switch it on and the battery refused to alternate. ***"What's Happening today"*** I asked myself. So manager offered to help in checking the battery, he checked and confirmed that the battery is weak already. ***"It will work just calm down"*** he assured me. Meanwhile, time has gone already, it was about 9:00am already.
He proffered a simple but skeptical solution, that I need to put the wire to the batter head while he start it. I got scared at the that moment. To me, I thought he said I should use my hand to handle the coated part of the wire and place it on the head of the battery, not knowing that he meant me to use my hand to touch the naked wire and press it down to the battery head. When he explained again, I shouted.

I've been shocked by electricity several times and I know how it feels, ordinary current from small home appliances can make someone enter another realm, how much more a big generator plant. I studied a little bit of physics in school too and I know that one end of a current don't shock unless touched with the opposite side.
I gave a deep thought and a part of me said I should try it, while the other part said I shouldn't. Mehn, I followed the part that's favourable to me, I obliged and told him to allow me to be on the **Switch side** while he handles the **battery side**. He laughed me to the core but I wasn't moved.
He finally agreed, we switched positions, I turned on the switch while he held the wire to the battery head, I was observing to see if he would run when it happens, Lol. We did the first and there was electric sparklings and I got scared, he wasn't moved at all. What kind of human is this ? I asked my self. The first attempt did worked, so we tried again the second time and power came out. Hurray!
That was it, I drove down to our office around 9:45am.
Closing thought
Being afraid to some extent is natural.
Even when you are sure there's no danger, there are some events that you wouldn't want to try. Do you know that some People won't go for skydiving because of fear?
Such is life.

My first time experience

Talking about first time experiences, there's always a first time to any action or habit. Just like they say, "the journey of a thousand miles begins with a step". The first step is always a memorable experience, either win or loss.
***Let's get to down.***
The prompt originator started his story with "first time he cooked". I don't think I can come up with my first cooking experience because I can't actually remember how it happened or when it happened because I grew up in the rural area where where we frequent kitchen because of the normal gist and favour from the cook(mama and elder sister) and also farm work, my dad usually prepare delicious meals in our farm. We'd come out to take some rest and meet the chef doing some magical. Cooking inside the farm is the quickest and the sweet. Please don't come and drag wit me unless you have an experience.
**My first time joining Facebook.**
I joined Facebook exactly 2010, that's 11 years from now(how much is the cost of 11years fb now?LOL). Then, 2go and Facebook were booming. I was using a small sonny Erickson phone where waptrick, sefanRU, wapdam were our basics. *If you know all these sites, you are not are not among this "indomie generation" hahah*
**Fastforward**, I knew nothing about Facebook registration, so i I had to contact a genius in my hood to get me registered. Can you imagine that? Ordinary Registeration, I couldn't. Not my fault though, it was the level of exposure then. So I met this guy, he collected my details and charged me 1,000naira. I wasn't foolish enough to pay so I smartly pleaded with him and he concurred to do it charge free. I was with him and he did all the REGISTERATION. After that, he moved down to picture settings. At this point, he took me a white painted house for a **passport-like** photo. hahaha. We took the photo and uploaded. I asked him why he didn't want to use the already snapped pictures on my phone, he said white background is the best. Funny. So I started the journey. I began to send friend request to celebrities, I searched for my surname and added everyone with my surname thinking we were related. Hahaha. No fine girl's profile passed me by without sending friend request. It was all fun.
*At the time of writing this, I paused and logged in to my Facebook account to check my very first picture I added on Facebook (the picture that the guy snapped), and uncontrollable laughter gushed out. Hahah I won't share the photo.*
**My first time meeting a lady from a blind date(Facebook).**
*Let me try to make this one short.*
It was during the month of February in my second year in school. February is Valentine's month bla bla bla. I met this girl on Facebook with the prettiest photo(display photo). Firstly, I sent her a message "***Hi, I was passing by when I saw your profile photo and couldn't just let go after checking your bio and found out you in Same School with me, I want to be a friend"***. Then I gave her a friendy request. She accepted and replied with ***"you're funny, I'm available for friendship".*** Yeh! One point won! I became so exited.
Fastforward, we became fond of ourselves, calling and chatting.
On Valentine's day, based on a **local guy strong headed guy** that doesn't sometimes believe that you must send a gift to a girl on a valentine day, I stayed adamant on that and only frequented her with lovely calls and messages. That was the day she agreed that we should meet. Wait, same school and we haven't met? I'm not the pressurizing type, I allow things to flow naturally. She said she would call me during school hours unexpectedly, that she want to take me unaware.
The day it happened, It was on Wednesday,I was dressed on corporate wears because I normally attend church from school, she called around 2pm and she gave me directions. The funny thing was that I was only N100 with me and that's supposed to be offering for church that day.

20/10/2021: We've stayed in pain

Good day everyone here, I'm sure you are all good. If you're battling to be joyful this morning maybe due to work load, open this 💌💌💌, I have loads of love enveloped.
On this day, last year 20th October, 2020 was a sorrow filled day in my country, Nigeria. Genocide was done and covered. Souls were sent to early grave. There was mourning. Lamentations became the order of the day.
Before the event happened on that day, there have been here high level of police harassment and brutality. They did alot of killing without remorsefulness.
Yeah,we know the function of police is to checkmate crime related Activities but they took an unimaginable advantage on this regards. They were to pilot bringing to justice on anyone caught on the act but they turned it upside down. They were to check and control the crime measures but they increased crime.
****Some instances****
The government Introduced checking of bags for travellers on the highway, to curb robbery and crime related acts, but it turned to something different. Although it's normal to check because I have experienced it, but these police (with **SARS** name) would search and if nothing is found implicating in your bag, they'd move straight to the phone, if you refuse to hand over your mobile phone to them, they'll instantly tag you as internet fraudster. Isn't that shocking? The don't know that mobile phone is a private asset. If it persists and you finally hand over the phone to them, they would go straight to the your bank app and crypto wallet. Ha! Isn't that supposed to be private? When the struggle becomes much, you have no option but to give them login details, if they mistakingly see $100 and above on your portfolio, you are gone. So bad. It's either you transfer all to them or you face their immediate judgement there. Example; beating, shooting or seizing of cars.
This became so serious that if we are about to imply the road, we would delete all Crypto and bank apps on phone. Surprisingly, they often times request to go through galleries and social Media accounts. So we should stop moving with phones? Lol. They caught a friend of mine one day, he was coming back from school and they demanded for his phone, he gave them, they accessed his WhatsApp messages and got him detained on the spot because they saw messages of a referral program on a WhatsApp group. **What a dumb set of people!** He was made to pay $80 to be released that day. What about my friend that got beaten by them because he refused to give them his coinbase login details. So bad.
What about iPhone? If you're caught with any of these latest iPhone, you're instantly tagged a fra*dster and you must bail yourself or matter will be prolonged.
****The worst****
At a certain period, it became as if God gave them authority to send any soul back to him. They were killing people like chicken. In all these, the government didn't say anything. Do you know why? Their children are not in the country so it's none of their business.
The brutality and harassment became too much and the youths said "enough is enough". They planned a Peaceful protest to be held for a week between the interval of 15th to 23th of October 2020. Thank God for Twitter, the news got spread and and every youth took the day very serious. Every state in the country got serious on the events. At first, the government assumed it was just play not knowing that it'd result to an intensive one.
**Fastforwad**, the protest became so intensed that movement in some parts of the country were blocked. The government sent troops of army and police to arrest the protesters, the more they arrest, the more the intensity.
On the 20th of October 2020, while the protest was going on, the government of a major city sent agents to turn off the CCTV in a one of the base where the protesters were massive, then in the night, the government sent armies to shoot the peaceful protesters. No CCTV camera to capture the odd events, the victims on ground turned on live video on facebool and Instagram. They were cries and sorrows.
****Let me summarize****
After the event ended, the government powerfully said **NO**, that they weren't the ones that sponsored the shooting. A lot of news headlines came out, some said the government were responsible for the removal of the CCTV but never involved in the shooting, some said it was a God father that instructed the shooting and not the government.
During this period, alot of atrocities occured, the youth became more furious on the denial of the government on shooting the masses, governmental houses were burnt down, transportation and tv stations were set ablaze.
Till now, nothing has been done, even the international bodies that handled the case have not been able to produce a final judgment. It's still looking as nothing happened on that on the law book.
All through the year, the Government took it has nothing happened, to the extent they've started campaigning for elections.
They've tried to erase the event from the mind of Nigerians but it can't just happen.
I know this memorable day won't result to the world bringing judgement to the government.

Not champions league nor premier league but FIFA world cup then followed by National leagues and Olympic. I could sit all through enjoying these tournaments. Thank God Qatar 2022 is already loading.
