4 Oct dinner Yesterday we had plan to go supermarket for the electronic appliances exchange due to faulty, so dinner we plan to suit to our route so decided to take in the mall then go for supermarket directly more convenient. So to choose a restaurant that is inside the mall and without much crowd, mosburger serves the best suiting to our need. So again we ordered the same food , fish burger and Hokkaido croquettes burger. So happened that the corn soup is out of stock. So we replaced it with fried potatoes croquettes instead. One thing we found interesting about mosburger, that they do not add any salt into the fries, so when we requested for some salt packages, the servant was taking the whole container of salt to our table and added into the fries straight ! Before that, she even brought the pepper pack thinking it was salt same like McDonald's haha. Restaurants not many people , guess many refrain from dining in already. After dinner then we go for supermarket for the appliance exchange, which need a lot energy to carry the replacement unit Tru n Flo home. When reached home, felt hungry already.so grab some chocolate to replace energy right away. Ciao , that's the night we had yesterday !

Daily meal 4 Oct A fresh start of the week , and need a fresh food for the lunch. Coupled with good weather for the noon time, I made a decision to travel farther for my lunch meal. Today I wanna get some fresh fish meal. Initially I gave the chance to the mixed rice stall, but their fish dish is not attractive to me today as the left over is other part of fish eg fish head, which I found very difficult to eat. So I made my move to second choice - the fish noodle soup ! Thanks to no queue, I right away queue at the front and order. Same dish same taste and same add noodle as I pretty hungry today. My lunch is like below: Nowaday food court lesser people as community cases getting more. So I able to order my drink right away without worrying my seat being taken by others. So today meal cost is $4.50+$1 for the drink. I find today fish noodle taste a bit plain but I still like the freshness of the fish. Now already week40 , and feel like no ending for pandemic in near future. Feeling like no energy on many stuffs. Just eating could cheer one up more . sigh. Ciao! Second half of the day comes!

Sunday home made dinner Community cases here getting worsen, we also worried to go out dine in , so when we have time eg the weekend, we try to make ourselves dinner at home instead of usual going out for dinner. Dishes is about the same as previous week but we minus of the potatoes in the soup as we found too full to take rice and potatoes at the same time last time. Rice also the same,with bottled dried olive mixed with mushroom. This week we forgot to add in gingers which I think is blessing to me, coz I don't like take ginger with big sliced , too hot. The soup we remain the black bean and peanut , minus off the monkey head mushroom and potatoes. Though the ingredients is lesser, but the soup is still as tasty as previous time. As usual, we cooked slightly more than our own portion and share with our neighbour who likes the soup very much. Today she also gotten the rice which she didn't expect but having a meal from us. But it's ok to share, because our neighbour also always bought us little food like cheesecakes. So to strengthen neighborhood spirit is good for environment. After dinner , then we went for a stroll nearby for grocery and after meal walk.

Lunch of Western mix oriental This morning is just too nice as raining yesterday made the night so cold. So I also kinda lazy to wake up earlier as so happened it's a weekend. I simply grab some small buns as breakfast before leaving to library to return and get some new books for home reading. As the community cases getting worsen lately. Today lunch we decide to take away and not dine in to prevent further worsen. Lunch we first get the vegetarian pork chop rice set. Then we went Popeyes for their Cajun fries. And we also further order AnW curly fries and onion rings. Not but not least will be the MRT bubble tea. Below how it looks all in total for our today lunch: Haha it's kinda too over for too many fries for today. So today my favourite will be the rice set, I like their soft tofu and fried veg pork chop. Second will be onion ring, because it remains crispy even taken only 1hour after bought. The afternoon remain windy , and what a lovely day indeed!

Daily meal 30 Sep I just wake up as the song lyrics wake me up when September ends. So first lunch after wake up gotta be a nice one since the day is so cold after long hours of rain. I think of getting some hot food or spicy foods, after going Tru one round the stalls , I think today my mood swings to this claypot stall. And I ordered their signature dish the claypot braised pork with rice. Not bad for wake up lunch to order this. It's of savoury and appetizing to couple with big bowl of rice. Maybe the weather is nice and mood is nice, I enjoy very much for today lunch though the birds here are noisy fighting for left over food nearby tables. These birds not chirping but fighting on the food because the janitor is not collecting the food fast enough. Fighting mode on as today last day of September! Tonight last chance of shopping at fairprice !

Mosburger dinner Today dinner we planned to take the dinner at the mall, so we chose mosburger as we observed these few days not many customers were dine in when we passed by the restaurant. As expected , the customers there not many and we easily found our seat and table. Many places affected by the latest rules- one table for two person only . I ordered the same food as our last visit. Fish burger, and the other burger is Hokkaido croquettes. On the other hand, anyone know how to pronounce this croquettes? I think both me and the cashier don't know how to pronounce it correctly, and we ended up using point system - "I want this burger" haha. Fish burger from mosburger is nice because it has some sliced onion mixed inside. This is the don't know how to pronounce croquettes burger haha. And for sure, we order set meal with large fries And drink. Not to be missed is their corn soup, super nice and tasty ! Total expenses is $15.50. quite expensive ya. 🤦😓

Daily meal 29 Sep Today was rainy day and the wheather is cold. The time when I deciding place to go lunch , sky was cloudy and bit dark so I decided not to go out lunch as exposed to risk of getting wet either on the shoes or shirt. I walked one round in canteen the food serving for mixed rice stall is not attractive. So I have to go with their daily choice of chicken chop rice. Here is how it looks like for my today lunch chicken chop rice. It's a better choice for today, but the price tag also slight high at $4.50. This lunch set comes with a small bowl of green bean soup, which normally sold at $0.80 or so. While the portion is not big , quite fast then I finished off the meal and enjoy sitting typing the essay for today's meal! Hope fellow friends here having a good Wednesday as well! Daily meal 28 Sep Today took light breakfast and thus by the time approaching lunch hour , was feeling quite hungry. Weather is good that no rain seem to be happened the next 2hours - sunny day ! So I walked to nearby food court, today I wanna get something from the vegetarian stall . And I saw they offer some fried food that is cool on the spot. So I ordered the fried Hokkien noodle which is easily found in Singapore and south Malaysia. But today this meal is done in vegetarian way. Something about this dish is you can't find in elsewhere away from Johor Bahru. When I first came to Singapore, I didn't know existence of this dish and just wonder how it looks like. After years , still not seen this dish in KL or other places in Malaysia. This is how it looks like for my lunch - fried Hokkien Noodle. The portion is big enough. Just lucky that I felt so hungry today, so I had a wonderful lunch today.! I also get myself a hot tea, as tea time already took a cup of coffee. Total expense for the day is $5+$1. Total $6. Today have some hard work to do after lunch. Luckily get enough food as later need to spend some energy pushing trolley!

Daily meal 27 Sep It's dark cloud the time when I wanted to go out for my lunch and thus I decided not to go out right away when I saw the dark sky. I changed mind to take lunch in company cafeteria instead. As expected, it rained heavily 15min after I finished up my lunch . Luckily I observed the sky is dark before I headed out else I will get myself wet at least the shoes as consequences of going out lunch. Today cafeteria meal also not bad, at least there are some dishes that suit my taste. Here is how it looks like for my lunch today : Simple meal with a warm barley drink. All three dishes is prepared nicely and enjoy very much the lunch. It's good to see external in rain while having my lunch . Feeling cool as morning session was quite hot and sweaty. Today Meal cost is $4.10 all in. Quite a reasonable price for the comfort of sitting in cafeteria and updating this blog post. Ciao, a peaceful Monday today !

Home made dinner Today weekend , we decided to make ourselves dinner as minimise the go out eat chances. So morning I was tasked to buy some vegetables and raw materials for night dinner. And after hours of preparation eg washing the vegetables and cutting it. Our Sunday dinner is finally done 🙌. Let's have a look as below: The theme is 1 soup and 1 dish , while the rice we made it as olive rice ! It's with some sliced mushroom and ginger. The soup is black beans , lotus seed with monkey head mushroom: Last but not least is the dish - steam tofu with chilli and enoki mushroom We also shared the joy with our neighbour , which she think it's super tasty as well. Lastly , time to clean up the plates ! Super a lot of plates to clean 😂😂

Mooncake breakfast The first weekend after mid autumn, and you need to clear those mooncake that used during the festival. So, this Saturday morning we take the mooncake as breakfast rather than going out to buy packet food. This the first mooncake we cleared: We find this is among the best taste mooncake we tried. But you know mooncake is quite stuffy, can't take whole mooncake at one go. So we open another mooncake but in smaller size without the lotus paste The packaging of it is very cute with many different mould of animals Some animals are not related to mooncake festival at all but it's for cute purpose.eg koala bear, and crab. I think the kids will find it interesting and fight to those cutest pattern they like! A creative marketing of this mooncake maker !

24 Sep Friday dinner Today finally Friday and considered a relatively good Friday. So after work , mood is good and thus decided to go bit far for dinner. Sigh now under pandemic season, the largest joy left is to grab good food only. So we travel quite a distance for Zhengyi Restaurant. And read the latest announcement from the government that starts next Monday, the aircond Restaurant dine in restriction back to two person a table. Since travel far to come, I wanna get a type of fried noodle that rarely find other places. That is Mala Fried noodle ! This is how it looks: Don't let the word mala scare you away, the fried noodle isn't as spicy as one thought. This time of mala actually is just numbly hot only. Not real unbearable hot. This considered the restaurant signature food and cost $7. Slight expensive but I like it. The drink cost $2 We also ordered the normal ho-fun. I think it's nice ,just it common seen elsewhere. $4. Friday night but not too many customers around. Maybe many worry about the recent spike cases locally. Anyway, I do enjoy the meal for Friday dinner.

Day meal 24 Sep Finally it's Friday and it was sunny afternoon , so I went out for lunch. I walked pass one food court. But I think the food didn't know nice. So I went further to another food court. At first , my first choice would be the northern Chinese cuisine, but unfortunately the dish left is very limited and doesn't look nice to me. So I went stall beside and explored until I walked pass the Malay stall. I recall I thought of trying their nasi lemak for long time. This is how their nasi lemak looks like The nasi lemak from Malay stall really different from the normal nasi lemak we find in hawker centers. First different is the chilli paste. It's of spicy and not sweet type . Second is the curry gravy , of strong aroma of coconut paste. Just the price of Malay food in Singapore is always slight high, so my nasi lemak today at cost $3. But nevermind, the taste is nice ,so I enjoy very much my lunch. After meal, felt quite sleepy but still need to attend meeting. Yawning !

Free lunch meal Today supervisor announced that lunch will be provided by management using our quarterly fund. So considered as free lunch as noneed to fork out any money for lunch today. But this morning I over slept as such I didn't take proper breakfast then left home for transport. So during break time , I took the economy noodle as replacement breakfast together with my daily coffee. Then during lunch time , the free lunch is sent to my table , as tight covid control, management only bought each of us bento and eat at your own desk.🤦 This is how the lunch bento set look like. It's Japanese style with fried chicken and salmon fish. Dish itself is nice, but maybe they mass packing the bento, the meal a bit cold already and the rice abit over wet due to the steam. 22 Sep dinner Today we decided to revisit the same restaurant which we came yesterday. Because we think of walking a long distance after dinner and also because we know the restaurant is not many people around. Due to spiking covid cases, so it will be better off to stay away from crowd. Not out from expectation, the aircond section of the restaurant was no customer the time I reach. Today we decided to order invidual meal than good meal like yesterday. I ordered their signature curry vegetarian fish set. Their curry is so thick in flavour as thick as Indian curry, I like it very much because it's gravy alone can finish off the whole white rice without the dish ! Second dish we ordered vege gu lou yuk rice, not bad also ! Total expenses today is $12.50 together with a cup of drink also. Not bad dinner for a boring Wednesday meal 😁 thus walking home happily ! Daily meal 22 Sep Today went to another site for meeting. So by the time meeting ended, decided to visit nearby food court for lunch It's been long time since last visit here. So there are some changes happened here. First impression is the installation of this giant ceiling fan, it's my first time seeing such fan in a food court. And I think it's a brilliant step as the owner does not need to turn on many small fans but to turn on few of it and able to achieve the ventilation. There are half of stalls operated by new owners , many of terminated the lease and leave. So I chose to buy from a mixed rice stall that is long standing here. This mixed rice stall is famous of cheap food. The lunch with 3 dishes cost only $2.50 and this price is hardly seen in other places. The taste not bad especially the tomato fried egg. Though my food is cheap today but the drink is opposite , I ordered the teh c hot drink, cost $1.30 which is half the price of my lunch haha. Price not so justifiable. Ciao, mid of the week now and still half to go !

Mid autumn dinner Since today is a big day yet still need to work. So we decided to get something nice and tasty as our dinner meal as celebration. So we travel to this restaurant where we normally only went during weekend. And today is lunar day 15, so there will be lot more people take vegetarian meals, this vegetarian restaurants will be having more customers than other normal days. We chose mala hotpot as the main dish. This dish is we chose whatever vege we like , then count by weight, and chef will cook according to the level of spicy you chose. For sure you can go for no spicy too, like we do. We also ordered one more special dish that never taken before. It's called three cup beancurd. Its name is mimic the three cup chicken where they marinated with little wine. Though tonight dinner spent quite some outlier than normal days . But we felt happy to have this wonderful dinner! Price tag? Total $21, still reasonable right ? As we had a great meal, we plan to revisit as soon as tomorrow!

Mid autumn Today is mid autumn, where many Chinese or Korean would take leave for celebration. Here in my place, today is a normal working day. But one supplier friend still deliver us a box of mooncake for celebration. While the favour of the mooncakes are of no special surprise to me , but I still like the meaning of receive mooncake on mid autumn itself. All 4 moon cakes are of four different taste , eg one York , double York or white lotus. All lotus afterall. 😂😂 The box design is slight losing to other mechant but not so wasteful like theirs Happy mid autumn to all who celebrate and count down half day to off work !

Daily meal 20 Sep Yet another new week start, today seem like a better day where work load is manageable. So lunch mood is good where I can walk further for fish fiesta again! Today will pick the fish noodle again because office is quite cold. Surprisingly no people queue the time I reach the food court. And immediately my order is processed by the stall owner. Smooth week start with a smooth lunch ! Order the white fish thick meehun with additional noodle. As mentioned before , the stall owner is good enough that additional noodle noneed add on price. You see the mountainous bowl of my fish noodle. Then you understand how glad I saw when it's done cooking. The dish like going to overflow and super worth it for a decent lunch meal ! Same price same location , this bowl of white fish noodle cost $4.50 and I spent quite a long time to take it as it's big portion and hot ! After meal, sweat in satisfaction ! Ciao , today gonna be a great day , I can forecast with the lunch I had !

Sunday lunch It's a beautiful Sunday morning with rain out there. So we felt so sleepy and wanted to sleep somemore until when we felt hungry we realise it's already 1030! Since it's rainy and cold day, we decided to go for something spicy to spice up the appetite ! And do not want to walk too far , we chose the old Chang kee restaurant at the MRT station . So the default dish for me is nasi lemak with curry rice in this restaurant! And a hot coffee is the perfect match. Don't you think this nasi lemak is so perfect especially in cold day ? We also order meehun, this is called Mee Siam, with hot Milo and additional twister fries ! Wow me myself felt so hungry when updating this article ! I hope next weekend we also going to have such grand lunch! Price for the weekend perfect meal ? Total is $15.20 for the tasty food !

Saturday dinner We were attracted by the tastyness of one vegetarian restaurant last weekend. So we plan again this sat to visit them again after our evening exercise. The restaurant is located at the far end of the jogging track for the bishan PCN, so it will be just nice that we jog/walk for exercise. Then go for dinner and have a full meal..then walk again back home. Enough exercise after meal and rest. So basically we ordered the same food this round , same as last weekend because too tasty and leave in memory. I ordered fried pan sambal petai rice. The dish come with a hot soup. And we also ordered hot noodle. Basically same food same drink as last week. But today is Saturday, so we can eat more , we order the plata! Last weekend when we dine in , we observed many tables also ordered Plata as either side dish or main dish. We conclude that this must be their signature dish and must not miss out the next trip we come here . Really not disappointed, the plata is very crispy even it's an egg plata. For me, just the curry gravy is less nice compared to the one we visited the most. Overall the roti is nice ! This dinner is very very satisfying. After meal, we walk back home again. The Tru n Flo almost 10k steps! Amazing right ? Ciao !

Fish fiesta Today after work, it's hot the whole day, so in order to have better meal on Friday night, we decided to go into shopping mall for dinner for aircond and for good meal. We chose Mos Burger as thinking of trying their burger again. So I ordered fish burger again, I still remember its tastiness since the last time taken it. I personally like their fish burger for its garlic like blended into the burger. The strong aroma is melted into every bite which motivate me to come back again and again. We also ordered the potato burger , but I not quite like it coz the sauce they use is quite sour. Mos burger expenses is always higher compared to its peers in fast food chain like McDonald's or burger King. Today I ordered two burger with one meal, and additional one corn soup. The cost is $15.50. a bit high but get to dine in in aircond. Ok, not bad experience. About time to sleep, but the fish burger taste still in my mouth, guess tonight going to have a burger dream. Daily meal 17 Sep Today finally comes the Friday , I decide to go further for better meal. I recall there is one more fish dish that I didn't try out in this food court. So today I'm going for it. The stall selling Korean and Japanese cuisine. But I think most of their dishes are more or less localized . Anyway, I still find it nice to try out. Today the lunch I order from them called fried shark fillet rice. It serves with some portion of kimchi and mayonnaise veg. With the small plum given together with the meal, the whole meal became appetitizing . Actually the fried shark also good but to me, food that deep fried is hard to find one that is not nice. The Gap is small to pass. This is how it looks like for my today's lunch: Fried shark fillet is not easily seen elsewhere, so the price is high side at $5.50. I ordered hot tea again for thrist. So today total expenses on lunch is S$6.50, I think it's reasonable with the price and enjoy it very much. How is your Friday lunch? Hope you have a good one too and we go weekend together! Ciao ! Subway as thu dinner Today dinner we decided to go for something that is in the aircond environment and yet less customers around because the cases in increasing but today also a hot day. To fit in our today requirement, then the subway at the center fulfill the criteria the best. Today felt thirsty so we extra order the mushroom soup. Though I felt a bit expensive with price tag $3. But the soup content is really good. Real mushroom cna be found inside. I ordered my favourite set the egg mayo, but today I wanted to do something special by changing the bread 😁, not so special is it ? But who knows, I never tried wrap before , so I found this is special for me. Anyone share the same feeling with me? The most enjoyable time in subfab is by looking at their shelf with all these fresh vege and food! Even though you may not order the food, but looking at so many nice food really tempting ! Selamat malam ! Time to leave and take a nice shower !

Daily meal 16 Sep Today is a hot day, so it's good to travel further for lunch. I came to this food court again with expectation to first choice be northern Chinese cuisine if the dish I hope to take is available. Else I have to take other stall as I just had sea weed yesterday night, so I don't intend to take again today. Luckily it works as what I wish, the sliced curd is available today so without hesitation, then I order from the stall owner, 1 bun for me today ! Simple meal and cheap lunch. But time to time when I felt boring with rice, this bun is always be my alternative choice of lunch. Let alone the lunch is good priced at $2.50, really hard to resist not to patronage often. Coupled with food, also order for hot tea. Today breakfast time ive taken coffee, so the second drink rotating to be tea. Afterall , blank tea is cheap here also $1. How about you? Moon cake Yesterday I receive a moon cake from supplier friend , that its box is so attractive and useful for after eat. Their concept is integrate with the chess, and if you buy a whole box of mooncake, they are attaching a full set of chess set in the box. I think this is super creative because normally the box is no use after eat and throw. Now with the chess set, the box at least we will keep it to store something and if needed can turn into chess board and kill time. I have not played chess for very long time. Some of it I also not familiar on how it moves already. With the free chess set, think it's time for me to pick up the chess skill again ! Check mate ! Done and win ! power

Daily meal 15 Sep Today there is a customer audit inside the line and thus couldn't take my coffee break. After the auditors left the line, felt so relieved as you really don't know from what angle they will find fault and then management will like headless fry keep pushing to do stuffs only. But after audit, still have many items to do until hungry during lunch hour. So I want to take the mixed rice stall which serve the best fish dish nearby me. After you add in the fried fish , then the price is up by many. But their fish really nicely done. After ordering the fish, basically vege that I ordered also limited choices already else the whole meal can reach $8++ then too high cost in lunch. Ordered fried egg and vege with fried fish, all together cost $5.30. Not forgetting to get myself a hot drink, but since I come here alone, I couldn't leave the table unless more tables emptied out then I only go to drink stall for hot tea. But covid cases getting higher nowaday, lesser people turn up after 1pm, so I can still enjoy my drink after finishing my lunch. Ciao, half day to go and make my day !

Daily meal 14 Sep Today went to another fab for audit and inspection, so by the time left the line, it's about lunch hour ,so lunch I chose to go somewhere near this fab. There are quite a number of new stalls opening here after I left the fab. But today I chose to stick to a old stall that I frequent patronage. My simple lunch is as below: The auntie like recognise me and gave slight extra on my lunch meal .hehe. , The mountainous meehun and noodle cost $3 all in together. Last but not least, I get myself a teh c drink, as this food court always full of people, I gotta monitor the crowd and queue is less then only I left my table for order drink. Drink is $1.30 for teh c hot drink. Today time flies , very fast finish lunch and need to back office prepare for the weekly report 😁 Ciao !

Daily meal 13 Sep Today weather forecast to have rain from morning, hence I was so rush to office to avoid being trapped in the rain while commuting on bus. The whole morning was cold, so I was thinking to go out lunch regardless if it's going to rain or not to warm body up. And bring along the umbrella as backup. The meal I chose also a hot and freshly prepared - the stir fried onion meat rice. If you know its Chinese name then you will know this dish going to very bombastic, called onion bomb meat rice ! A decent meal indeed though price a bit high at $6. In prevention getting too spicy, I also prepare drink in case ate too hot. But somehow it's savoury but not spicy. Drink as normal priced $1 as I get Teh O hot. No choice as I already took coffee during the morning break. Don't want get too much coffee a day. Total cost at S$7 , satisfied and resting for upcoming tasks in the evening. Ciao !

Sunday nice meals As community cases in the rising trend , we planned not to travel too far, just stick to nearby eatery for meals. Morning as usual get tapao the brunch from economic noodle stall: The queue is still ok, not too long. Around 5people in front of me. Same packaging cost $5.80. While in the evening , we decided to jog/walk to bishan which is quite a distance away , but we wanted to explore the stall and shops here. The restaurant we visit is called zizai vegetarian: Today I have tried something that is super delicious ! This is the fried pan petai rice , price is high side but the petai are just like everywhere, super satisfied to have it. And the next part is the gravy , the sambal is just like what we normally had for paste steam African fish. Super delicious ! This dish is $8.50, but I would definitely come back for it! Super special and tasty ! Another dish is the claypot noodle, I don't find it too special but spouse liked it very much. So I stick to my petai rice and finished up most of it! Dinner expenses is $19 with the passion fruit drink. Ciao tomorrow is Monday again!
