Daily Meal 4 May Today we return from long weekend after the labour day and Raya. The mood is good as the weather also windy and spacious in the food court. No surprise to readers here, today I wanted to go for meal with fish. While the mixed rice stall sold off their fish, I go for my second choice which is stall beside it - the Korean cuisine stall. The same meal fried shark fillet meal ! But the price already increased by 40cents ! From $5.50 become $5.90. more pricey , I guess I have to control the desire to get fish meal nowaday. While resting, I observed the people around. Looks like there is this new china stall open this week! Next time I could order mini hot pot meal for one during my lunch time ! Second half could be more straight away with paperwork's to clear. Hope myself can sustain and back on time. Ciao

Daily Meal 14 Mar It's been a while since I last updated my article here. Actually I did take photo everyday still, just little bit no energy to type article here. Today a brand new week , and over weekend I had thought of possible places for me to maximize my crypto debit card usage area for having free crypto alongside with scheduled expenses. Once have plan then eager to try out to see how the result will be 😁. The food court I always go less likely able to use the strategy I sketched . Here only one stall accepting e wallet. Maybe need to spend longer time before the owners here adopting e payment. When I came out it's little rain so I brought along umbrella. But when I finish eating , the sky is damn hot 😂😂. Anyway, the hot fish noodle stall reopen today ! It's been a week plus they close. I guess mostly contracted the covid causing so. This is my lunch , a long missed one. Price increased already but portion remain same. $5. Hope everyone has a good start of the week.! Ciao !

Daily Meal 2 Mar After two continuous hectic working days due to many staffs fall sick in covid. Today the situation recovers a bit as first batch return to work place. So morning time to attend some HR deployment meeting and paperwork then comes my lunch hours! As I took some food during break, my first choice today would be the northern Chinese stall, but too bad not many dishes left for me to choose from . My second choice of hot fish noodles also not open today . So at last, I decided to grab the Taiwanese food ! Today I tried their signature noodle the pork belly noodle , as I never tried theirs before. The overall experience is pretty good. Had a good meal and happy to continue the second half day. Cost of noodle :$4.50 , and as not many eaters at the canteen , I managed to grab drink together and take together rather than one by one. As per normal, hot tea !

Daily Meal 24 Feb Today morning was started with a heavy rain. So no choice but to walk further to the mrt station to avoid I unable to hop onto the bus at other Midway bus stop. While it's raining, I thought today no choice but to stick with canteen food already , somehow I was lucky that rain stop about time when wanted to leave for lunch. So today strategy was first choice go for mixed rice if they still have fish dish for me to choose. I wanted to take few days ago but that time they didnt have any for me. Things so smoothly as per planned, they have the fish and today easily grab the seat as not many walked out after rain I supposed. My lunch as below : 1 vege 1 fried egg and the main attraction the fish ! Total cost is $5.30. nowaday food getting more expensive. But I do like their fish because tasty and also I need to take in more iron . Drink I order Teh C, and cost me $1.40 , 😅😅 why could a few spoon of sugar can cost 30cents more expensive than pure tea. No logic...

Daily Meal 21 Feb New start of work week and I chose to go my Monday lunch the hot fish noodle soup as I found out recently my hemoglobin level was not satisfactory state. So its best to find some iron rich food to replenish the hemoblobin level of mine . Over the weekend I already thought of a list of stall that would sell fish for me to go after this week. Hopefully every day I could take in some fish to improve. Lunch is the hot fish noodle soup which I always went patron. But today I found out they increased the price already :( Same food same portion now cost $5! Thankful for the daily food update I have, I get to know the price increase is 50csnts. Wow thats 1/9 increased , approx 11%. Sigh. My salary and investment where got so high percentage increment !?? Sigh and my income here also decreased alot without any reason. Not sure if anybody can shed some light what went wrong here ? All contents original written , though people could get boring to read the article but still content is original right?

Daily Meal 18 Feb This morning relatively relaxed as all booses tied up with an important meeting that don't involved me , bravo! So I already had in my mind to go mixed rice stall with fish as one of the dish. Waited the time come and leave for lunch but learnt that today no more fish dish 🤦. So I gotta go for alternative . Wanted to get fish noodle but when passed by Taiwanese stall, get attracted and recall I never took it for quite sometime and today is Friday , good to reward ownself for a better lunch. This is how my lunch looks like : Pork chop rice bento..it comes with braised egg and cabbage. Together with hot tea, my lunch for Friday is pretty decent I could say. Another half day to go and thats it for the week. Ciao and TGIF to friends here who read this !

Daily Meal 17 Feb Today have a mission to have fish as meal because planning to go visit a blood bank coming weekend. So by having fish,hopefully can improve the iron content in blood and thus not so suffered after donation. I walked to the favourite food court for meal, so damn lucky to secure the only table available. But secured already also need to safe keep it. So gotta ordered from Korean cuisine stall where after ordered , you can immediately back to the table and sit down wait. Today ordered this fried shark fillet rice. And the stall owner is kind enough to give me quite a handful of seaweed as side dish hehe. Seaweed also good for iron improvement for your info. So today meal cost $5.50 with the hot tea $1.10. Fillet is big enough to have it even after finished the rice. Enjoy a bit after food and wait to go back. Vendor waiting today for some discussion on fabrication. Ciao cya !

Daily Meal 16 Feb Rain started when leaving home and a super heavy one. So the rain persist for whole morning and until lunch hour, the rain still going on and decided not to go out as pretty tired today as well. Morning was going line with bosses for trolley deployment. Quite a tiring one as needed to go up and down climbing stairs. By the time reach lunch hour , already exhausted when lazy to walk further. Before came to the decision of staying at canteen, also came and took a look on today food offering. Considered accepatable so continue to dine in at company cafeteria. Today ordered the Nasi briyani with chicken. Actually the food is quite expensive and if see from only the curry chicken , the main portion of the food goes to the rice where this thin rice is with low GI and special import from India. Also order a bowl of green bean as totally thristy and need energy. Total cost was $5.30 with the main course at $4.50. wouldn't say it's good buy but I get to rest in canteen as trade off . 🙌🙌 Ciao !

Daily Meal 14th Valentine dinner While I'm not fan of celebrating valentine, this day is really purely fully commercialized celebration where merchants create a day for spending. So today after work, we don't intend to go celebration because it's still pandemic season and wise person dont simply go crowded place for no reason. We decided to just order take over for our dinner. Also strike balance with self make healthy soup for additional dish. So dinner we get to enjoy tasty food under a super safe place - at home. Need not rush with many for highly pricey food with no logic spending . We order one yam ring yummy 😋 Also boil a big bowl healthy mixed veggie soup. If were to show appreciation to spouse , why don't just celebrate it over weekend or day after. Afterall, I have previously read that Valentine is in fact someone that is having many partners, it doesn't symbolize loyal at all, but love everywhere ! Wake up girls , don't fall trap to these merchants ! Don't ask your boy friend celebrate this year and big spender on no meaning day!

Daily meal 14 Feb Back to Monday 😣 , yet another working week start wk07. Early wake up already get bad news that the only tehnician to take sick leave and line without technician coverage this morning. Quickly activate the back up and luckily able to get him overtime to cover. Else the line will be again no technician and no progress for 12hours. A tiring first half, as first need to escort a new hire to meet boss then meeting pop up here and there asking me to join. Though the meetings was easy but will need to walk here and there consuming energy. So lunch I wanna get what I wished to eat. Today scheduled is to get northern Chinese food - the bun Here is what is looks like : Food is nice and cheap. Only at $2.50 ! And I think healthier choice too. It rained during the time when I ate. But I'm well prepared for umbreall along me as I wanted to get this food , must be prepared with umbrella for unexpected rain. Ciao ! Rain getting smaller. Time to back after tea sip. 😜😜

Daily Meal 10 Feb More and more surprised day nowaday. Woke up in rainy morning and cool weather . Then have to take a long walk to center to take the bus to prevent unable to catch the bus due rain. Followed by marathon meetings and rain outside. The whole morning just too windy and cold. So when it comes the lunch time, I switch my plan to go a place which is less preferred to go because I find it very stuffy and hot during normal days, but today the weather turned cold , so this place can turn to favourable again. While walking, I was thinking to get Malay food , but somehow I saw the Chinese Mala stall still remain here after CNY. So I decided to give them chance as they served on the spot cook dish. I ordered this stir fried onions pork rice which is a bit pricey but I need some heat in body. Priced at $6, I quite like the dish but I think will limit to only cold days I only able to visit here. The dining environment still remain a bit unsatisfactory as birds are around chirping and fighting for food when you not paying enough attention. Anyway , the weather is nice with the food. Resting and prepared for the next fight.

Daily Meal 9 Feb Today so unlucky to have met rainy afternoon, so I decided not to go out for lunch. Praying hard in heart today canteen food please be nice as stuck inside company can't go out take lunch. Somehow the special meal today is good ! Quite a lucky day. Teppayaki Chicken rice with green bean soup cost $4.50. Today morning just escorted boss to do some line tour boring stuff. After tours , damn a lot things to follow-up just for what boss saw , what a damn job . Many just do the talking while others do the works. After lunch , gotta walk to another building for stupid stuff measurements. Many stupid things around. Hopefully take enough rest before all these happen.

Daily Meal 8 Feb Today kinda special ,actually it's since yesterday night, it rained . In fact, it's pretty abnormal to have rain during CNY period. So the weather today is just cooling. While I just did all the office things , felt even colder . So by the time it comes lunch time, I want to get something hot like soup type food. My first choice for hot soup noodle definitely is the fish noodle that I mentioned many many times. But there is some catch also, I'm not sure whether they have reopened after the CNY as per last week, it's the only stall that never reopened. Mentally I already have some backup choices which to go should the fish noodle stall not open. So happy to see the stall open when I stepped into the food court ! It's with little queue but today I brought an umbrella with me, so I have already booked a table for seat. This is my favourite hot fish noodle soup. It's been awhile since I last took it as I remember I kept visited the Taiwan food stall last week. 😁 Food is super nice and serve my purpose to heat up body 👌. Sweat quite a lot after enjoyed the bowl to the fullness ! Price is remain same , that's great thing to hear ! Ciao!

Daily Meal 7 Feb Today is the seventh day of CNY. And this is the so called human day because according to ancient story , human is created on the 7th day. Anyone would like to make a guess which is the first creature created on first day ? So theoretically today is everyone birthday and can wish everyone Happy birthday. As such, I am thinking to give chance to company canteen special meal as outside like cloudy and look anytime to rain, I do not want to risk going out wet. So lucky today special meal is a good one , the sausage rice set ! The set comes with a small bowl of barley drink as well. As I recalled last time when I had this set , not having the hash blown attached. Is that the canteen operator trying to make everybody happy today by having special additional food ? Food is still remain the old price as last year $4.50. While today is pretty cold day, better to go out to get some heat but cloudy better don't . Also having interview arranged later 2pm by HR 😂😂. Best to enjoy the meal while resting waiting the time comes !

Auto trash disposal system This area undergo the upgrade where the Town council is now upgrading the trash disposal system to automatic conveyor belt system. So next time, residents here next time when they dispose their trash from their house bin, the trash will be automatic sent over to the centralized collection point , without the need of janitors to collect everyday to send over to collection point. This can reduce very much the man power needed to do the cleaning for the town. Also can maintain the hygiene better as the odour can be sucked away all the time without remaining near the blocks. I saw they progress quite well. Already dug the hole to install in the conveyor belt system. I believe the main parts already done, now what they need to do is to secure it and cover it again with soils. Next time the trash bin also part of the conveyor belt system. Have to throw the rubbish in dedicated bins. Not sure how it goes later. Will see after fully operational any hiccup here and there. Will definitely make a come back to see how the system runs.

Daily Meal 5 Feb It was a good weekend with plans to visit friends and family . But it ended up with all being cancelled because the number of covid was spike damn high on Friday night news. It's spike from thousands cases to become 13K ! Such a worrying number , right away decided to cancel all gathering and appointment and better stay home. But dinner time after the sport, we think of better having some decent meal. So we went to the Zhengyi. By the time ordered the food , waiter informed me that a waiting time of 45-60min was expected because they have many delivery order 😬😅. So we patiently waited for 50min before our food is served. This is cereal fried tofu. Another dish is vege bah kut teh, the served as the soup and also drink for us. Intially we ordered fried wanton as well, but waiter said that dish is not available that day. So we have to cancel it and contented with just 2 dishes. Total is $19.90 with two bowl of white rice and warm water. Not too special but could enjoy better meal in pandemic season also kinda blessing.

Winter Olympic Opening Ceremony Yesterday after tiring work and resting, I recall today there's this grand game event openning- winter Olympic Beijing. So I faster switch on TV and able to watch most of the show. It was live telecast 😁. Firstly I was pretty surprise to see some tropical countries like Malaysia joining the game as well! And the team is not small scale , rather big compared to some conventional areas. Like compared to Hong Kong team, Anyway , the openning ceremony was themed with thrithy , but I think the show is quite impressed. These kids with the winter suits are so cute: Later on, each of them carry the small lighting bird and show is just so nice to watch 😊 And the baton ceremony also quite special arranged to have lifted up at center of stadium, instead of at one end side. As you can see from above photo, the baton is installed at the middle of the snow flakes. And best part is this snow flakes logo is made up of all participating countries names! The fireworks not last long , but still manage to capture the nice seconds of the show! Haha wish every atheletes best of luck , eventhough normally I don't watch it as we tropical people never get in touch with the winter sports.

Daily Meal 4 Feb Today is LiChun, literally means Spring stand, this is the day when the real spring started. So some of the fengshui masters recently promote some ideology where one should prioritise this day, where it indicate start of the year. I wouldn't follow exactly what they said , but stick to the idea to have better meal ! As such , I took breakfast today in canteen after seeing the nice food on offer- Nasi Lemak ! Had it in the canteen . Have some comment on their chilli, it's with spicy taste but it also a bit soury , quite rare to have it. Lunch time actually having some difficult time to choose if go out for better meal , as it was after rain and sky not bright enough. Wonder if to take risk of getting out. Finally decided to go out again as yesterday already in mind to try out the Taiwanese noodle , which they put as signature dish. And surprised to see also , 3 more stalls opened today ! Chicken rice, mixed rice and the fruit stall, so this is considered 90% fully operational already . Life back to normal! But customers still remain less. Good for me to grab the seat easily. So I stick to thought - ordered the Taiwanese spicy vinegar pork chop noodle. With the same drink hot tea which is price increased, I had my LiChun Meal a tasty and enjoyable one. ($4+$1.10) Hope you enjoy your meal too ! Weekend is coming again and we will go for good meals again coz it's still festive season ! Ciao !

Daily Meal 3 Feb Today is the first working day for me after CNY break. As I passed tru another food court in the morning, I already scared many stalls still remain closed as of today. Because it's still the day 3 of CNY. I decided to give it a try as CNY deserved to get better meal than compromised. So lucky that the stall which I hope to patron is open ! But when I arrived the queue is very long And irregardless which stall also many queueing people , so I stick to what I wished for - the Taiwanese stall. Queued for quite sometime finally my meal is served ! Today I get the popcorn chicken bento set. And indeed good heart stall owner , this meal price is remain same as before the CNY. Same $4.80! But later on the drink I bought there's increase price silently without announcement, $1 become $1.10 😳😅. Anyway, good to have great meal today , hope it bring good luck for the rest of year. Haha . Tigers roar ! 🐅

Random stroll at city It's holiday in Singapore. So I took a walk and stroll at city , and random shopping at various places. These are some random scenes I saw along the road. At Post center, they deco with the cartoon character Molly. A simple one but cute. They even arranged Molly to dress like a tiger 😂, do you find it cute enough? And the mall deploy machine to do the patrolling , but it was at charging dock. Maybe they use it only at night ? It was so hot today. But blue sky is nice ! So I just can enjoy it and sweating looking at it under the shade.

CNY Day one Today is the big day for world wide Chinese community , because today is the day one of Chinese New Year (CNY)! This new year is with zodiac animal Tiger , so I assign myself a task- to snap the tigers all over the downtown! First tigers I captured at the Buddhist Tooth Relic Temple at Chinatown! There are a total of 12 tigers arranged rhere.! And there are some cute version tigers just near to the temple main entrance : But weather was too hot , so I did not take own selfie because too hot too bright couldn't even open up my eye to smile to len 🤦🤦. It's better to come during evening and the organisor would light up these tigeres for visitors to take photo with them ! Another tiger statue is at the main road , here they will arrange every year different zodiac animal. This year tiger they make it more like real tigers and it looks great ! Unlike previous years , they make cute version and many complaints not nice 😂😂. Hope the year of tigers will make everyone roars ! And crypto world also must roar magnificently and everyone earn from it ! Let's us expect the good days ahead !

Daily Meal 31 Jan Today is the eve of Chinese New Year, many Chinese employee would take leave and combine it to make a long weekend. So today when travel in bus, the bus was so empty that one person can easily occupy two seat side by side and put your bag instead. Luckily the sun is here today amid yesterday rain. Today I plan to do few works as today we have early festive release, after off work , I need to travel to the restaurant nearby to take the food I pre order for the reunion dinner tonight- lesson learnt from last year not to leave blank and risk not much food choices around. When the bus passed by a food court nearby, I also saw the Chinese owner stalls there all are closed today . So later lunch I gotta be mentally prepared that I would take indian food 😂 So I faster get prepared and grab canteen breakfast as having some backup. If the food later lunch time not nice and not much choices , I can choose not to take any or little to withstand until reunion dinner time. A nice noodle with tasty coffee make up my day ! $2.10 only as prepared to little food lunch !

Daily Meal 25 Jan Today there is a special activity from the IT department, so the line is put idle and waiting. So we have some resting time as we can't do much about it. And I chose to have a breakfast at out indoor canteen, where I could update blog here with relaxing mode. Canteen operator looks like knowing the stopping plan and offer quite a number of nice food to choose from ! So I chose this noodle which we normally call nice noodle , because its shape looks like little mice tail in both end. With a cup of coffee to sip, today breakfast just an enjoying one and peace of mind. Cost : $1.90 for all, $0.80 for coffee and noodle and egg $1.10.

Daily Meal 24 Jan Hectic week starts with many logistic work to do. Yesterday night realised that one material was not enough and not prepared. Faster message the auntie in charge and asked for topup in the morning. Somehow auntie just made reservation for me and not informed to whole team about the urgent withdrawal, caused me whole morning busy liaising with all parties for the common timing for the activity. Amid the busy schedule, I chose to listen to festive songs to calm down and do routine and no use brain work until lunch hour. So by the time I finished for a period , felt tired and wanted to reward myself a better meal. I went to the Taiwanese stall again as I sti have some food never tried out. So here is the new dish that I chose to try ! Pork chop bento rice set ! Price is the same as popcorn chicken set.$4.80, together with the hot tea $1. Awarded with nice food, but has second part of day to go . Ganbate !

Daily Meal 23 Jan Today we go for another round of house visit, so lunch we will be having outside. Initial plan was after house visit then go for lunch , but relative not free earlier , so we change plan to having lunch then only go for house visit. So the plan slight change but we don't feel that hungry yet. From their menu, look like their signature dish is this roti John. So we order one portion of it. Second dish is this rojak, where you can order whatever dish you like and they fry it for you with the rojak sauce. And we ordered the soup, thought its like the dessert but ended up like normal hot soup. This soup calls eight treasure soup While we have slight out of plan to have meal earlier , we couldn't finish the food but to take away some of them. Overall, the restaurant food is not bad, will definitely come back to revisit again.

Daily Meal 22 Jan Today finally come the weekend, today main activity will be visiting a relative after the dinner time. Initially wanted to pack the food and eat only travel out for visiting. But later on, found the planned activity was like too boring to carry out on weekend. So change plan to go restaurant to take dinner. This restaurant almost the default food place when we travelled to this town, we like the spacious dining environment and nice tasty food here. Luckily we reached restaurant slight earlier and managed to get the last available table. Today I get myself this curry monkey head mushroom: This dish is quite difficult to find in other vegetarian restaurant as far as those we explored. So decided to take the opportunity to taste it. Another dish is vege bah kut teh, though this is easily found in other restaurants too, but today we felt like taking hot soup . As today is weekend and peak dinner time, we hurry finished up our food and make the space for the next patrons. Hope you have a good weekend as well!

Daily meal 20 Jan Today working day for the morning session is like marathon meeting session . Back to back meeting and until 1230pm slightly earlier than my normal lunch hour then all ended, so decided to reward myself a better lunch meal for having so many meetings. Later after lunch still have one major meeting to attend 😂😂. I decided to try luck an old place which I explored last year end which I found not many customers during the time I visited . I decided to try again to oslbserve the crowd behavior so that next time can make better judgement whether to come here for lunch during what time. I bet correctly ! Easily found an empty table after I placed order for today. Today I tried the next stall which selling Western food. I long missed their chop fried rice. This is what I ordered: pork chop fried rice ! $5.50 , price is higher than my average meal but consider long time never ate , still feel worth it.. Today reward for coming far for it also that I found a sudden spike of crowd around 1pm , maybe some company in this building lunch hour is 1pm , no wonder the last 2 visits I came was with different crowd sizes. First time easily get seat, the second one I nearly can't get a seat and have to stand and wait. Hmm, strategy updated : should reach here between 1230-1pm to make sure no seat problem to dine in!
