Struggles in Writing This is my third attempt to write an article. The first two were both discarded because i have lost my train of thoughts and always ending up facing a blank wall. It's so hard when you are writing an article with so much distractions around you. You've got it all constructed up in your head. Visualizing how your approach would be with your topic to create a wothwhile reading content. You start your article smoothly at first, ideas and words flowing freely from your brain down to your fingertips. Like a spider spinning her mesmerizing cobweb. Word after word, sentence after sentence, phrase after phrase, slowly building up a wonderfully constructed article. Then all of a sudden.....you have to stop. Mom asks you to go run an errand for her. It's okay, I still have the idea running through my brain while I go outside and buy something for my mother. Smiling all through my walk, thanks to my facemask, nobody noticed me smiling at nobody, they may think I'm crazy if they saw me like that. *When I get back to writing after I'm finished with my Mom's request.....I tried to continue from where I have stopped.* At first, everything is fine. But after a couple of minutes.....I stopped. I don't know what to write next.....I'm at a loss for words and the ideas that I have abandoned me. Gone with the wind. Many times I tried to recollect my thoughts but I failed. I can't seem to find a way to contiue what I have begun. I tried taking a nap to refresh my mind. But it did no good too, I still don't knou**.** *Starting a new article.....2nd attempt to write a new content with a different topic*. Since I failed with my first attempt, I let my mind take a break, be refreshed, watched some movies and take some short walks around the neighborhood. Hoping that I would stumble on something great to write about. Looking around me as I walk.....greeting people I know as I passed by them. Looking at the plants, flowers and tress, dogs and cats on the streets.....at one point I'd like to try talking to them to get some ideas and be inspired. And after 2 days.....I started writing.....again. Got inspired by a kdrama we were watching every morning. At first, everything goes well. I think I'm almost at the half of my article when suddenly I have to stop.....again. This time I have to cook because my brother have to leave, it's his turn to cook that day, but because he has some urgent thing to do that he didn't expect, I have to do the cooking. And I know, what will happen when I stop writing. All the ideas and thought will vanish like the first time. And that is not only the time I got distracted from writing the 2nd article. Aside from cooking, I have to go out and pay the waterbill and the electricity bill. And then my son borrowed my phone to go online for their meet and greet with their adviser. And get their class schedule for this school year. *And so.....I just wrote about how I didn't finish writing two articles. Funny how I have done an article about how I can't finish writing articles because of too many interruptions. That's about it before I get distracted again by these people around me. And anyway.....it's almost time to cook something for dinner. And after that, I'm gonna study the ropes on how to use CoinFlex and Metamask.* Writer's note : photo used from Unsplash

Are All Plants Green? When you say plants....only one color comes to our minds. And that is GREEN. But not all plants are green in color. Not all have stems and leaves like what we usually see everyday. I. myself is not aware too that there are other colors of plants aside from the usual green, which is what I always see since I was a kid. As I grow older, I have seen plants with yellow leaves ( not dried leaves lol ) and orange leaves like San Francisco plant. And now I have discovered SUCCULENTS. A type of plant which has the ability to survive without water for a long period of time, like almost a week or even a month. I have some succulents under my tender love and care. *Black Prince* Just by looking at the photo, you can guess why it is called the Black Prince. It's natural color is black, mine has green in some parts because it has been raining for days now and it needs to be exposed to full sun to achieve its black color. This type of succulents loves to under the sun all day long. If it is placed in a bright shaded area only, it gets etoliated ( stems grow longer than the usual because it is reaching out to where there is sunlight) and it looses its blackness ( just like mine ). It only needs to be watered once a week or until the soil is dry already. *Purple Delight* This may look like a flower to you but it's not. Those pinkish petal-like things are the leaves. When exposed to full sunlight, these leaves turns into dark pink almost purple in color. Same as the black prince, just water the plant when the soil is dry. You can propagate this by getting the healthy bottom leaves and placing them on top of some soil in a pot or tray, leave them in a bright shaded area ( no direct sunlight ) and wait for them to show some roots or leaves. *Pink Butterfly* This one has green leaves with pink linings. It is same as mother of thousands or mother of millions. On these leaves, small pink leaves grow on the side. When these grow big enough or when it has already grown some roots, you can harvest them and place them in a pot, wait for them to grow at least 2 inches in height before transferring to separate pots. *Choco Moonstone* Just like its name, the leaves are brown like chocolate. When sun-stressed, the leaves turn into dark brown, so beautiful to look at, with its chubby leaves, making you want to get and eat some hahaha They say that if you want to make the leaves more fat and round, use bottom watering method. Meaning you have put some water in a basin then place the pot in there for at least 10 minutes or until the top soil gets wet. But just like the others, water them only when the soil is already dry. Well that is all for now. Next time I'm gonna show you my cactus. I need to do some research on their names coz I'm not familiar with them, this is the first time with cactus. So until my next article, bye for now. Keep safe guys. Editor's note : all photos are mine ( and so are the plants 😁 )

Can You Feel It Now? *September 1st* Yes, today is the first day of September, the so-called Ber-months. And you know what this means 😊 This is the time that you'll be hearing the voice of Jose Mari Chan, singing his very famous Christmas song.....Christmas in Our Hearts. And of course, Maria Carey belting out All I Want For Christmas. *Longest Celebration* Christmas is celebrated here in the Philippines the longest from any other part of the world. It usually starts on December 16 with our "simbang gabi". A Filipino tradition, when you completed attending the "simbang gabi", 9 days that is, to be exact, starting from the 16th of December and ends on the 24th of December, Christmas Eve....it is said that your wish or what you are praying for will come true or will be granted. *Christma*s *Foods* And then, there are the traditional foods. After attending the "simbang gabi"....church goers never missed to buy puto bumbong and bibingka. Christmas for me is not complete if you have not eaten at least once any of these two. Puto bumbong is a native delicacy made with grounded pirurutong, a variety of rice violet in color and gets sticky when cooked. After being cooked by steaming inside small hallow bamboo called bumbong, the contents are transferred on a piece of banana leaf, spread some margarine, sprinkle some sugar and grated coconut is added on top, making it so sweet and delicious. Bibingka is another native delicacy made from grounded sticky rice or malagkit. Mixed with sugar, milk and butter. Then the mixture is poured into a round mold lined with banana leaves, slices of cheese and salted egg is added on top of the mixture. The mold is now placed on top of stove, with charcoal as fuel, and a container with burning charcoal is also placed on top of the mold to even out the cooking process up and below. After the bibingka is cooked, grated coconut and cheese is also placed on top to enhance the taste. ***Christmas Decors*** As early as the first week of November, people begin to put up their Christmas trees at home. Decorating it with colorful christmas balls, bells, candy cane, Christmas lights and other things that can make the tree more festive looking. Usually Christmas trees are green, but as time goes by, other colors begin to appear. There are now blue, violet and white. People begin to put presents under the tree for their loved ones. Some put ang paos in their trees just like what we did last 2019. Some have chocolates and candies as tree decors. Christmas lights are placed inside and outside of every home. Some have diffedent colors, others prefer only one color, some like their lights blue, some like it white. Some have blinking lights some have lights that seem to be dancing with the music playing, Christmas carols of course. The Nativity or Belen, some of us still puts up a Belen in our homes aside from the Christmas tree. It symbolizes the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. It has the baby Jesus lying in manger with Mother Mary and Joseph by his side. Surrounded with different animals looking at him and the star shining down on Him. *Childern caroling* December 16 signals the children and even grown ups to start caroling at every home. Children are allowed to go out at night, armed with their improvised drums or tambourine, to go caroling in groups. They are given some money by the house owner or sometimes chocolates and candies. Some fo caroling for a cause, what they have collected is donated to a charity, mostly to orphanages, the money is used to buy Christmas presents for the orphans, to make them feel the Christmas spirit too. *But now that we are a situation we didn't choose to be in. There are things we can't do like we usually do before. There are restrictions, our actions are now limited.* *But eventhough we are in this crisis because of the virus, we still have the Christmas spirit in us. We still find ways to make it as close as to how we celebrate it before covid 19.* I know some might say, it's a little bit to talk about Chritmas. But not for me, it has always been my most favorite time of the year. I love Christmas more than New Year's eve....even more than my own birthday. Somebody said it's some kinda childish of me to be like this, but I don't really care. I love Christmas and nothing's gonna change it. Thank you guys for reading another piece of my wandering thought. Keep safe everyone and Merry Christmas to all 😊❤️ #lead image from unsplash

Random Thoughts Time is passing by so fast. It's like a few moments ago it was morning. Have you ever experienced thinking of doing so many things in a day, planned how to go about the day, but ended up doing nothing? hahaha well....that's what happened to me today. Gardening When I woke up, I said to myself that I would re-arrange my plants outside to make some space for the new ones. But eventually changed my mind because I haven't bought pots yet. And I'm short of my pumice stock, I have to wait for my daughter's boyfriend to ask him to buy some pumice for me. He always volunteer for that, such a nice guy. Letting go of my old clothes Then after cooking our lunch, I said I'm gonna tidy up my cabinet, remove old clothes that I don't wear anymore. Maybe sell them online as preloved items. Most are my office wears that I have no use of anymore since I don't work anymore. That's my daughter's idea, she suggested that I go through my wardrobe and check if there is anything that we could sell online. But.....I ended up doing it tomorrow. I have to re-think if I am letting go of my dresses, most of which I bought myself as a reward for working hard. So just let the idea of selling them sink in to my braincells hahaha Recycling I said I'm going to recycle the plastic bottles I've collected into pots. There are several pieces here now, just need to cut the top part and then make holes under for water drainage. But I can't find the knife that I use for cutting up the bottle. And I have to buy some paint to give them some color to make them look pretty. So, again, have to do that some other day, when I have paint already. Captchas for extra earnings I planned on doing my captchas for at least 3 hours today, to get some extra earnings. I tried, really tried, but the internet won't cooperate. The captchas are very slow to appear. I tried working on the browser first, but it took too long to load captchas. I don't want to waste precious time if the site is too slow. Then I tried working on the app, doing good in a few minutes.....but then the app suddenly crashed. Tried a few more times, but still the same thing happened. So I stopped. Merienda time Earlier, I planned to cook puto biñan again for our merienda. I bought the needed ingredients that I know I don't have in stock anymore. I bought half a kilo of flour, a big can of evaporated milk, small container of margarine, half of cheese, 3 medium sized eggs and 2 salted eggs. But then again, I can't make my puto now, I forgot to buy baking powder, I thought I still have one packet here but I can't find it where I put my stuff. So I think, I'll just the use the eggs and milk to make french toast, but instead of loaf bread, I'm using leftover pandesal from this morning's breakfast. That will do for today's merienda. Gonna pair it with some coffee for me and chocolate drink for my kids. But eventhough I have postponed my plans for today, I still manage to do most of the house chores that I should do everyday. The day is not wasted at all. That's it for today. How about you? Have you ever done like this before? Hope you share a bit of your experience. Thanks for reading. 😊❤️

Plant Haul: A little Bit of Heaven Everybody has their own source of happiness. Some feels happy when they cook, when they travel or collect certain items. Others feels happy when they paint or draw/sketch. But me....I found my happiness in collecting plants. Different types of plants with different varieties. I grew up taking care of my grandma's plant, wayback since I was only about 8 or 10 years old. She always ask me to water the plants or remove the dries leaves and branches. I still remember that we have a gumamela tree much taller than me. Me and my playmates used to get some leaves and then ground them with a large smooth stone, them put them in a glass of water and mix it well so we can make bubbles from it. And now that I'm old, I have my own mini-collection of houseplants, cactus and succulents. it brings me so much joy to look at them, caring for them. Watching them grow under my care. Last night I watched a live selling of cactus and succulents, the prices were lowered, some kind of a clearance sale. I waited for my package to be delivered after lunch, eventhough I feel so sleepy at that time, i have to wait for the delivery rider because he's gonna call to ask for directions so he can find our house. Our address can't be found in google map so we have to use another pin location. Then from there, we'll just give directions to the delivery rider. This is how it looks like inside the box. Each plant is wrapped with paper separately to avoid leaves from falling off the stem. Since the store is just near from where I live, the plants are still in their seedling bags. The seller only uproots the plants if they will be delivered to provinces. After wrapping up the plants in paper, they are now carefully stacked inside the box. They arranged in a way that they will be damaged during their travel. And now, here they are, after removing the paper wraps, this is how they look. Three of these are free. Freebies from the seller, that's what I really love with the seller. She always gives freebies to her clients. You'll be surprised when you open the box and see that there are extra plants inside. I know the names of some of these plants. I'll search for their names tomorrow. Here are the cactuses that I ordered too, the one at the back, the long one is not a cactus. It's a gift from one of my groupmates in the seller's page. And the four cactus in one pot is also a gift from the seller. And these three little things are called lithops, also a gift from the seller, along with the white square pot which is also free. I've always wanted to have lithops, they are given as a prize in the seller's live selling. We just have to guess the name of the country written on a piece of paper, whoever guess its right gets the lithops for free. And I don't have luck on this kind of game hahahaha Now that I have them, I won't need to join in that game. Writer's note I'm gonna show all of the plants inside the box tomorrow. These plants are mine and not taken from google. So, that's all for now, tomorrow I'mm show you all of them one by one. I's time to go to sleep. My eyes are feeling heavy now. Goodnight everyone.

Paranormal or Not I know almost everyone knows what paranormal means. But for those who are not familiar with the word, here's what it says in Google. " Paranormal is a term used to describe any activity or phenomena that cannot be scientifically explained. " Like when you see or experience something very very out of the ordinary, that you can't find any explanations on how and why it happened. I come up with this topic because I saw a preview of an old Tagalog movie with the same theme. It features a girl who can see the future, but more on who and how a person will die, she can see what happened when she holds something a person owns. So, I'm gonna share to you some of my creepy experiences which started when I was a kid. *Hearing voices* This happened during my elementary days, to which I was only 8 or 9 years old. In the middle of my sleep, I woke up to go to the bathroom, then after that I went back to my bed, and after a few seconds of closing my eyes, there was this voice. A man's voice. Saying my name, whispering my name. He seems to be whispering to me, and I can feel him sa close to me. But it was so weird that his voice seemed to come from a distant, more like a loud whisper in my ear. Coming from I really don't know where. In the morning, during our breakfast, I told my family about what I experienced the night before. My grandmother told me to ignore the voice, don't let it know that I heard him, for he will always call my name and eventually make himself attached to me all my life. But I think I already acknowledeged his presence by then. Because up until now, he still lets me know he's just nearby. *Someone trying to wake me up* There are times when someone would tap me, touch me or shake me, I don't know if these are part of my dreams, but I know I'm awake. Happens every dawn, at about 4 am, the time I have to wake up to prepare for school. But when I open my eyes to see if it's my mom whose waking me up, no, it was not her, for she's still in bed with my Dad and my youngest brother. And my mosquito net is still in its proper place, tucked under my matress. It would usually tap or shake me on my arms or my knees. Up to now that I have my kids, he still does that, and I think that he is the one who calls my name. And the strange thing is that my he do this to my eldest son too, he says someone would touch his arm, and there was a time that he has touched its hand. So I told him to pray, I don't know if he still feels the spirit. *Things moving by themselves* There are days when somebody opens and closes my gradma's cabinet, slamming the doors because it's difficult to shut coz the hinges are broken. We often hear the drawers of this cabinet opening and closing, it creates a screeching sound when somebody opens and closes it, so we know, but when we check to see it was, there was no one. The faucet in the bathroom would open, to the max, the cover of the container would open and close as if someone is getting some water. Same with the bathroom curtains. One time, I was sitting at the table with one of my daughters, I was facing towards our kitchen partially covered by a curtain. I saw a hand reaching up the shelves then toppled down a small plastic container. Thinking it was one of my kids, I waited for someone to come out from the kitchen. But minutes passed, no one came out and my other kids are outside. There was no other door in the kitchen. *Sleep* ***paralysis or Shadow people*** They say it's a case of sleep paralysis...."Sleep paralysis is a state, during waking up or falling asleep, in which a person is aware but unable to move or speak" according to google. But I think not. Happened to me a few times. So scary. It was only seconds after I get into bed....and then it happened. Deep blackness enveloped me, I can't move, I can't speak.....but I can hear everybody, the movie on the TV my family is watching. But at the far end of my bed, there is somebody standing, staring at me, motionless. I can only see a black shadowy thing shaped as a person with fiery eyes. I prayed because I got really scared, but I has gotten worse, as if I made the thing angrier because I am praying. My whole body become numb, screaming for help is not possible, no voice is coming out of my mouth, my head feels light and it seems to be growing big and airy. I was trying to move my feet to and hand to try banging on something so my family would hear me and help me. It only stopped when my youngest son, entered our room, to which the door is always open, and turned on the lights to look for his pillow. I felt so tired after that and scared to go to sleep. This happened to me about 4 times since i first experienced it. The first when I was in my 2nd year in high school and the last one was on 2013. Writer's Note All this really happened to me, I don't know if you would believe but it's all for real. I wish it was not, it's hard to live a life like this. Thank you guys for reading what I have to share to you today.

hi everyone. I would just like to thank @TheRandomRewarder for the upvotes, thanks so much. I wasn't expecting to see these upvotes when I opened my account here. Been busy for awhile here at home and at the same, thinking of what I would have as a topic for my next article. 😊

Mini-garden Travel part 1 Who says you can't have a garden when your place is all concrete? Many plant lovers had proven this wrong, and I'm one of them. Living in a house inside a subdivision makes it a challenge to own a garden, where the whole lot is occupied by the house, no extra bare soil for planting. So, the only solution is to buy pots, pots and more pots, pots of different sizes for different types of plants. At first I bought some house plants....and I placed them outside, in front of the house. I have caladiums, mayanas, money plants, oregano and aloe veras. See, I put the pots on top of the watermeter grills. Don't worry, the meter reader can still see the meter lol. I forgot to mention my aglaonema ( the one at the back with red and green elongated leaves ) she has two babies growing up beside her, and soon I'm gonna uproot them and put them in separate pots. Same goes with the other plants that already has new sprouting babies. I don't have to buy new plants this way, and maybe I can sell some of them when I have too many of them soon. And on the right side of the watermeter, I have place some of my succulents. A piece of wood I saw just laying around served as their platform, I placed it on top of the pvc pipe to make a flat surface for the pots. Below is a plastic container where I placed some of my succulents too, to make them look more organized. This is how my mini-garden looks like now. My other succulents are placed in hanging pots on the grills, and some are placed on the hanging rack that I made all by myself. I's made of bamboo that I split into 2 inch wide sticks, then tied together with plastic straw. So now, people passing by always takes a second look at my plants, some are even asking if they are for sale hahaha I tell them no, but maybe soon. That's my share of my thoughts this day. I hope you'll enjoy reading. Til my next article, have a good day guys.

Finding a Job Let me share with you my experiences in finding my very first job. I've got to have one because my late husband left us without a single cent. He just vanished, didn't come home one day, didn't even bothered to pack his clothes. Asking for friends' help to land me a job That was the first thing that came to my mind. I ask around if they know where I could apply for work, even if it's not in my line of interest or educational background. One friend, who's a realty consultant asked me if I want to give it a try with their company. I said yes, we went on field, giving out fliers to prospective buyers, assigned to different malls to assist enquiries, gone on location trippings. But after 2 months, I quit. There is no money there unless you get to a sure buyer, and made a downpayment and signed a contract. I can't support my kids with that kind of work. Trying my luck in the BPO world Yes, my very first venture into the bpo world started when my brother-in-law's sister referred me where she works. Having no idea of what awaits me there, no idea on how the process of application goes, I failed 😅 Doing some research on how to pass an interview with that kind of company, I start practising my English, my diction and my confidence in conversing with the interviewer. Having done that, I have my resume printed, several copies, a lot of copies hahaha just to be sure. So I applied in one of the most well known company in the bpo world, passed the inital interview, passed the computer literacy exam, passed the call sim with the om but failed the final interview. It was done through a phonecall, and I really had a hard time hearing what was asked, there was something wrong with the line. Second attempt Getting a little bit confident because I already have an experience in applying, I am somehow more familiar with the process. The second attempt is a success. I passed everything, from the initial interview up to the final interview. Proceeded to the training and the actual calling ( by the way, it's a drivethrough type of ordering ) we punch what the clients order then forward them to the store's kitchen in Hawaii. It was fun, had a few funny moments while getting orders, had a few Pinoys who would suddenly speak Tagalog while ordering, that's how they know we are Pinoys too. But, I got sick, didn't get to work for 2 days. When I got back, they said I have to get a medical certificate first before I can go back to work. I have no money yet at that time so I can't go to a doctor to have a check up and get a med cert. So in short, I was not allowed to go back, but they still gave me my month's salary. 3rd and final attempt And the 3rd and last application is with a local bpo company. December, I passed the initial interview, the typing speed test and the final interview. January, I got into training, 2 weeks of classroom training, shadowing and lectures and an interview with the employers. 2nd week of January, I received a call that I could start working on the 16th. Together with my co-trainees, we were introduced to all the other employees, we were surprised when the bosses said that we have to sing after introducing ourselves. we really didn't expect that, I sang "Love Story" by Taylor Swift, so nervous at that time whew hahaha Six years went by, and I have to resign because of some personal reasons. My bosses persuaded me not to leave them, but sadly, i have to. I thanked them for giving me the chance to work with them, happy that i have met lots of people while working. gained friends that up until today are still my friends. And that is how I had a job that I really loved and enjoyed.

A Journey With Succulents And now....here is another side of me. My "plantita" side or plant lover in other words. As a kid, I grew up taking care of my Lola's plants, she always ask me to water them for her or remove the dried leaves, hence making me love plants too. Fast forward to present....while browsing through a social media platform, I came across a picture of a succulent, I'm not yet familiar with these type of plant, so I did some research and I fell inlove with them. But to my disappointment, they are expensive and at that time I still can't afford to buy any of them. So I promised myself that one day, I will own them. In search of somewhere to buy succulents at a lower price, I joined groups related with cns or cactus and succulents. And there's where I find a store just near where I live, and sent them a message asking for their pricelist. To my surprise and happiness, they have succulents that I can afford to buy. And the seller is so accomodating and friendly. So she sent me pictures of the available CNS with their prices, then I get to choose what I want to buy and she books them with a delivery rider, with me shouldering the delivery fee. But it's alright because it's just a small amount. As time goes by, from pictures sent through messenger, I joined their live selling, and that's where the fun starts. I met people who also love cns, we have fun during the live selling, joining guessing games with cactus and succulents are the prizes, and getting them free when you get to say MINE first. And now, I have over 80 kinds of succulents under my care since I started collecting them for 2 months now. Some have died, some are given away by my brother to his girlfriend ( without my permission ) some I have bartered with my neighbor for some houseplants. I want to insert the photos here but I don't know how 😂 I'll do some exploring first so I can show you guys my babies ( succulents ). Or maybe I can ask for help from you guys to teach me how to insert photos in my articles, please? 🙏🙏🙏 PS I have edited my article coz I have found how to insert photos 😅

A Little Bit of Me Hello everybody. For a long time, I have been thinking of writing an article here in read.cash. But....I don't know where and how to start. I don't even know what to write about....but after quite some time, I've had enough courage and confidence to start constructing an article, thinking that maybe if start writing....ideas will flow like a water in the river. But the again, maybe not that easy hahaha It's even more difficult when different ideas run through my head then I don't know what to choose, thoughts overlapping one another then getting scrambled in my brain. whew hahaha So....for starters ( so as not to get me more confused on what to write about ) let me say a little bit about ME. I am a single mom ( widow for more than 3 years now ) got five LOVING kids 😊 I used to work as a call center agent, doing credit investigations on credit card applicants. That was 5 years ago, that was when my Daddy died, my kids and I stayed with my Mom to keep her company. It was all agreed on between me and my siblings. I take charge of the household, going to supermarket, cleaning the house, doing errands for my Mom. That's how I spend my days here at home, doing some online encoding, on my free time, to earn some for my kids online schooling. Going out with friends is not that easy for me to do, since I don't have friends living nearby. And I really don't have that much friends, I was born and raised in Manila. Since my family moved here where we are now, i was uprooted from my childhood place where all my friends live. And now, I don't have any kind of communication with them, except with my childhood bestfriend. Although we don't get to see each other a lot, specially now because of our current situation. My idea of chilling out is playing online games, such as ROS ( Rules of Survival ), COD ( Call of Duty ), PUBG ( Players Unknown Battle Ground ) and ML ( Mobile Legends ) to name a few. Made friends with people I played with, even made our own clan. We sometimes hold tournaments for different clans with prizes of course. Playing with my clan helps me to be less stressed with my everyday routine. Alright, I have to stop at this point. You'll all gonna get to know more about me in my next articles. This is just a preview of what I am and how I go about with my life. I really do hope that I didn't get you bored with my story. Thanks for reading.
