The Beijing Winter Olympics closed today. I visited the Olympic citadel built for the 2008 Olympics, and I assure you it is beautiful. The photos are from my 2019 trip and show the famous "bird's nest" stadium outside and inside and the colorful is illuminated swimming pool!

Beijing China? That structure is one of a kind! How creative those people are to made that those buildings. The last pic is awesome!
And in 2019 all the structures were still ok and used for other events? Sometimes the stadiums and infrastructures are later abandoned.... but there it seems still with a lot of splendor and power!
The stadium is fabulous, you can take a full tour and even go to the roof and walk all around it and see the whole Olympic city and the inside of the stadium from up there.

Oh my! Those architecture, designs and conceots are just exceptional and you've seen them personally..what a privilege
It was one of those things I didn't want to miss in Beijing
It is amazing. Wow that's a swimming pool? So cool. Haven't seen the winter Olympics 'cause for sure we don't have a participant. Hehehe one, we don't have snow here for the participants to practice. Two, that would be so expensive for them to train in other countries. Three, fundings for the athletes. But I did watched sometimes way back.
