Animal testing; Justifiable? Numerous animals share a percentage of DNA similarities with humans. The DNA similarities between guinea pigs and human is about 84%. So, when rats, mice, rabbits, monkeys, cats, dogs, guinea pigs etc., are all test animals, guinea pigs rate one of the most used in laboratories all over the world. In 2012, which recorded highest, about 212,699 guinea pigs were kept for experiments in a US laboratory. Disturbingly, over time, 'guinea pig' became the term or slang generally used to qualify test subjects, whatever animal being used. This begs the question; "How many 'Guinea pigs' survive these experiments?" Each year, more than 100 million animals are killed in U.S. laboratories for biology lessons, medical training, experimentation, and chemical, drug, food, and cosmetics testing. Importantly however, it is required to make clear what animal testing is, If indeed it is as bad as it sounds. According to sources across the web, animal testing, animal experimentation, animal research or vivo testing is the use of non-human animals in experiments that seek to control the variables that affect the behavior or biological system under study. In most cases, these experiments are forced on the animals. But while we discuss the means these experiments are done and we label them “unethical”, Let’s not forget to ask the question ‘why?’. While there are many reasons scientists conduct animal tests, the main and most common reason is that they are able to identify potential safety concerns in new medicines. We would agree It’s illogical to test new vaccines whose reaction is unknown on any human, for all we know it may have the potential to kill. Other reasons for animal testing are medical research, food tests, model to study diseases that affect humans and better understanding of biology. Frankly, each animal test conducted in any laboratory around the world is for the good of mankind, so that humans thrive. To think otherwise is to let emotions cloud one’s judgment. Every 20 guinea pig that die during a vaccine test are 20 humans that could have died, and it would be for what? Undeniably, we live in a place of darwinism, survival of the fittest, this is how the world has always operated, and to think of it, you really do not care if a hundred guinea pigs die so that a cure is developed for a global pandemic. When it comes that it is our lives on the line, we care little of experimental animals, and to make sure animals are not just killed, strict laws have been made that animal tests be only conducted when there are no alternatives. Now people, let us get practical rather sentimental, animal testing cannot be banned. Not when there’s no alternative. Considerably, it is hypocritical when these arguments are raised. Daily, people go to markets, buy meats and fishes for food, or sometimes go hunting themselves. Even for vegetarians, basic biology considers both plants and animals as living things, so the moment you uproot or cut down vegetables from your garden to cook, you are taking a life out of a living organism just because you’re hungry and you have the power. We justify feeding on these organisms but when it comes to science and medicine we talk of ethics. Like I said earlier, this is how the world operates and we know it.To conclude, apologies to the 'guinea pig' community. But if all facts are checked, it is of good heart and good sense that these animals are used, and it is no different than when they are used for other purposes. While it is not justifiable to excessively and humanely abuse them, take for example; their skins for bag, it is justifiable to involve them in enhancing better human living through science, and until there is a substitute for animal testing, guinea pigs will only enjoy the honor of being a part of a greater good.

Maybe I should try love again. Well, not that I really do not love love, but certain circumstances changed my impression about love. To love isn't the problem actually or let me say is a lesser problem compared to being love the way you wanted to be love. I really do not know about other people, but for me I see love as a zero big deal because I could met a total stranger and develop my own sense of "love" for the person, some call it love at first sight, some say it's infatuation but regardless of the name given to it, it could be more real and lasting than the love you piled up over a period of time. I had previously being in love with just few people, to be specific just two. But both didn't manage to grew up with me 1. Because she felt like she's not ready which I simply term as she's not interested 2. Because she had a boyfriend that she couldn't afford to lose but still don't want to lose me which I simply term to would you be a second option?. Truly in both cases, my intentions were pure, these are people that from the first day we met I have started to plan out a family with them, how our honeymoon would be, the number of children I would like to have and the likes all in my head. But ever since I was young, I have learnt not to lose sleep over anything because it's a phase and it'd surely pass. When you understand perfectly that people can turn down your advances and feelings no matter how purer your intentions were then you understand the concept of love. The only thing you have control over to some extent is your feelings, you can't influence other people's feelings or decisions unless they allowed you to do so. Lately, I have met girls I like but the problem now is if I'm ready to try love again because of so many reasons I would share in some later articles. And it shouldn't even be a problem if advances were rejected, because we might have rejected some before. And then there's this constant reason of not trying to love again which is mutual respect and loyalty from a partner because to me love alone means absolutely nothing. Are you ready to go hard for me as much as I would for you? These are things that bothers me about giving love a chance again. Would the energy and vibes be matching even at any of us lowest? Frankly, I don't believe in unconditional love because it's all lies, no love is unconditional at least to my own knowledge. I also have the feelings and emotions change and I still haven't figured the reason for that except that we humans are naturally built that way. Because I had seen people whose the love in between seems unbreakable and things later go soar in the end. Though when I try to analyze issues like that, I'm always stucked and revolving around one answer that we are all human and our emotions about things change with time. Maybe I would have to convince myself more about love and its concept before I give it a try again.

I think that's too early. Earlier this morning, the unthinkable unfolded in the eyes of many Chelsea's fans. It's reported that the club parts company with their manager, Thomas Tuchel. On before that, the manager and his team lost to Dynamo Zagreb from Croatia with a goal in their first game of the champions league campaign. The game against Dynamo Zagreb was his 100th match managing Chelsea Fc. He had previously won 60 matches, Lost 16 and drew 24. Judging by this stat, I think it was to early to get him sacked. Prior to his sacking, he won the uefa champions league, the uefa super cup and the club world cup in his first year after resuming work from former Chelsea player and Legend, Frank Lampard. On his second year of managing the team, he took the team to their third Fa cup final and also the carabao cup but lost to Liverpool on both finals. His last match also the seventh match this season was against Dynamo Zagreb, having lost two of the previous six league game, won three and drew one sat at the sixth position at the premier league table. A lot of mixed feelings after he was got sacked, but my own honest opinion was that the sacking came too early but I had already seen it coming since the change of ownership of the club. It's Chelsea's thing to not take mediocre for an answer in managing their football club but according to stats, Thomas Tuchel hasn't failed as a manager. Though he was highly criticized for playing the so called "haram" football by playing five defenders in a 3-5-2 formation whereby getting wing backs left and right of the pitch. But the same "haram" football got him to the Champions league final and won it for the team since their last in May 2012 in Munich against Bayern Munich. He also used this style to win the first ever Club world cup for the cup after failing out to win the first in 2012 losing to Corinthians from Brazil. There are so many questions on the lips of many sport journalist about the sacking, while a lot were saying it's too early, some still think it's nice for the new owner Todd Boehly to follow the tradition of the club. Prior to the sacking of Thomas Tuchel, Peter Cech and Marina Gravsionkia were also relieved of their job and ever since then, the new owner has been in control of all the activities of the club. Thomas Tuchel made some unforgettable memories with Chelsea and he also made some record transfer during his time. After sacking of the manager, the next outlook is replacement of the manger. There has been some names trending around including former Real Madrid player and Coach Zinedaine Zidane, current Brighton and Hove Albion Coach Graham Potter and former Paris saint German manager Mauricio Pochettino. If I had to choose of all these options, my preferred choice is Zidane but it seems so unlikely. Not few hours after his sacking, Thomas Tuchel has been linked to Rb leipzig from Germany. He's quite an experienced manager and I trust he's going to do well in his next managerial role.

The thin line between self-worth and proudness Atimes to differentiate between bad and good can be confusing and a good case scenario is self-worth and proudness. Self-worth is the value assigns to your abilities in any assessment while being proud in context to this article is having to high an opinion of yourself. It's of course hard to differentiate between these two but I would try as much as possible to do that in this article. Self-worth as a whole is knowing what you can do or achieve, it's knowing about your abilities and proudness is knowing your worth and boasting of it. That's is just the simple difference.

UEFA Champions League is back Last season was a massive one. After winning the tournament for the 13th time, the Galaticos already had 'A por la 14' printed on their underwear at the final in stade de france, Paris against Liverpool who was also the record winner from the premier league having won the competition six times. They both had a quite good run to the final, with Liverpool been paired with AC milan, Atletico Madrid and Porto at the group stage level. They came out top with 18 points after winning all the matches both at home and away in the so called "Group of Death". They proceeded to the last 16 by taking on Inter Milan and won 2-1 on aggregate, then to the quarter final against Benfica and won 6-4 on aggregate, then to the semi final against Villarreal and won 5-2 on aggregate leading them to their third Champions league final in five years under Jurgen Klopp. Real madrid on the other hand had a more interesting and tough route to the final, they were paired with Inter Milan, Fc Sheriff and Shaktar Donetsk at the group stage level. They also came out top with 15 points with their only loss at home against the first timer of the competition, Fc Sheriff. They proceeded to the last 16 against Paris saint German and won on aggregate of 3-2 , then to the quarter final against Chelsea, won 5-4 on aggregate then went ahead to the semi final against Manchester City winning 6-5 against the Manchester team which led them to hoping for their 14th win of the Champions league. It's rollercoaster of emotions on the final day at the stade de france in Paris, both teams had this winning and monster mentality but the disappointing part was that there could only be a winner. Real madrid took the highlight of the day by beating Liverpool with only a goal to take on the gold medal and the trophy. The lone goal was scored by the Brazilian star, Vinicius Junior with an assist from the Uruguayan Midfielder, Federico Valverde and that wrapped up the tournament for the 2021/2022 season. Romantic Relationship scares me but I'd love to have one. In as much as I'd love to be all alone by myself most of the time especially during difficult times, I still love to see and talk to people I like. Dating pool of the present generation is more of a mess and it's the factor holding me back to get into a relationship. I have seen different scenarios whereby people who claimed to be in love disrespect each other and therefore giving me ptsd not to go into any romantic relationship. Not to be a pessimist, I have also seen relationships where both partners are so loyal and that's more encouraging to be in a relationship. But as for myself, I have been in a lot of relationship but not the romantic ones with both sex and it ended with first snubbing each other and then completely cutting each other off. The dating pool is such a mess that people don't love genuinely again, people love for a cause and lily I do say, once you love someone for a cause, the love would vanish as soon as their is deflection in the cause. Take for example, you love someone because of "beauty" and unfortunately the fellow had an accident with bruises all over their face, which means the cause of the love is gone, it's just a matter of time for the love to vanish also. When partners love themselves genuinely with no specific cause, the relationship tends to last longer then when there's a cause. But there's this thing for sure, no matter how genuine your intention might be, people have all right to still not be interested in you. I once had a crush whom I love with almost everything but she didn't feel the same which is fine because I have no control whatsoever over her emotions and I had to accept that early instead of constant leading on to avoid being hurt. Same way I have had people show interest in me and I turned it down because I didn't feel same way also. Atimes I might be bored and tempted to text or chat them up, but then I remember not to so as not to lead them on because of the saying "if you can't take a punch, do not throw a slap" Glaring, my constant reason for being scared to be in a romantic relationship is simple, I don't want to get hurt and damaged by something that doesn't worth it. The constant fear of getting hurt and played is very consequential before thinking of entering a romantic relationship. Most people of this generation don't care about things like this, they don't care about your feelings or emotions, they don't care whether you got damaged or not, all they cared about is their own selfish interest which is bad. Excitingly, I advised people to not give up on love regardless of the dating pool of this generation, there's always that genuine person for you. An exciting London derby in Stamford bridge between Chelsea and West ham united. Minutes after the merseyside derby between Everton and Liverpool, here comes the match every football fans, mostly particular premier league fans have been waiting for. The kick off was scheduled for 15:00 Uk time. An hour before that, the two teams released the team news with Chelsea new signee Wesley Fofana making his debut appearance at the Stamford bridge and Reece james returning to the squad after missing out last game week against Southampton when Chelsea lost 2-1 to the saints. Also making his debut for the hammers(west ham) is Lucas paqueta. At exactly some minutes before 15:00, the officials of the match led the two teams players out of the tunnel with both team fans cheering out their players. After the exchange of greetings between the players and also between both managers, here comes the real deal. The referee whistled to signal the beginning of the match, the first 15 minutes was more of boring than interesting, it's Chelsea trying to move ball by both flanks and West ham trying to twist out the plot, during the nineth minute, Ruben loftus cheek, a Chelsea midfielder was awarded a yellow card for making a tactical foul. Tension was high as both teams were trying to penetrate each other's defense to find the first goal of the match but all their efforts was abortive. After an exciting-boring 45 minutes, the referee whistled signalling the end of the first half with Chelsea having 70 percent of the possession. After 15 minutes of rest and probably managers explaining tactics to their players, the referee led the two teams out but not in an orderly manner like the beginning of the match. The two teams exchanged position and the game started with intense attack from the home team (Chelsea). In the 60th minute, after the away team played their first corner which went out again as their second, comes the first goal of the game by Micheal Antonio where he challenged Chelsea new signee Koulibaly to a lose ball played by Declan Rice. Then Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel makes his first tactical substitution by introducing Mason Mount and Broja to the team replacing Gallagher and Christian Pulisic, shortly after Cucurella was substituted for Ben chillwell at the left wing back position. Few minutes Later Ben chillwell gave Chelsea their first goal with the assist by Thiago Silva. Not more than five minutes, Ben chillwell gave Kai Havertz an assist giving Chelsea their second goal of the day at the Stamford bridge. At the 89th minutes, Maxwell corrnet after being substituted five minutes earlier got the second goal for the hammers, but the happiness was cut off after the goal was ruled out because of a foul on Chelsea's goalkeeper during the building. Four minutes was added to the normal playtime but the match was ended at the 98th minutes with Chelsea taking the whole three points at their playground.
