4th world power- Medes and Persian Queen Esther and Mordecai I like to be like queen Esther, it's not to be queen of course because I'm already king "shawking". I like her because she is simple and humble. She show deep respect and submissive to her husband. She is brave and show courage. When Babylon was defeated, some of Israelites returned to Jerusalem while others remain as exile like the family of Mordecai. Mordecai was a loyal servant of king Ahasuerus the Persian. He raised his cousin Esther and later on, she was chosen to be Queen, as wife of king Ahasuerus. There is an evil and proud man who's name is haman. He hates Mordecai so much because Mordecai never bow down to him. Haman plotted the the destruction of Mordecai and all the Jew's by making false story about Jew's. He appealed to the king saying: " Jew's are lawbreakers! Let there be a writing that they be destroyed. I'll pay for ten thousand talent of silver ($14,235,900) for the work." The king believe and give his consent because he doesn't know that his wife was a Jew's. When Mordecai heard about the scheme made by haman, he immediately informed it to queen Esther. He expressed his faith that Esther had been brought to her royal dignity at this very time for the deliverance of the Jew's. She show respect and subjection to her husband by asking and waiting for his permission. She invited the king and haman for a meal banquet for the next day. By that, haman was proudly informed it to his family. His wife suggest to make gallow for Mordecai, so haman made a 75 ft high gallow to hang Mordecai thereon. The king learned that Mordecai once save his Life from the two court official who plot to lay hand on the king. The king was wondering why this servant had not been rewarded. On the very next day, the king saw haman his grand vizier. He ask him about what shall be done to the man whom he delight to honor? Haman thought that it was he himself whom the king wanted to delight to honor. Being ambitious, he told the king: " let the royal garment and horse of the king, let them clothe the man and cause him to ride on horseback through the open square of the city. So the king commanded haman to do this signal honor to Mordecai. Haman was actually come to the king at that moment for the purpose of obtaining permission to hang Mordecai. After honouring Mordecai, haman was called to the meal banquet of queen Esther. At the meal, Esther tells the king: " my people and I are to be killed!" At that, the king get Angry and ask: " who dares to do such things?" Esther answered: " the man , the enemy is that bad haman!" Haman get punished, and also it was informed to the king about the gallow that haman' s made for Mordecai.
