Do you want to be best friend with yourself? What does value mean? Of course, it has more than one meaning, such as its mathematical meaning, its philosophical meaning... According to the dictionary, the primary meaning is: “The abstract measure that determines the importance of something, the value that something is worth, the value.” If I ask you this, I think you can explain it with examples similar to this or from your experiences. Everyone's concept of value is different. Some of us explain with cost, some of us with more abstract meanings... It certainly has many implications for me. I reach the concept of "value" when I look at my writings, my inner journeys towards myself and every steep slope that I encounter in life. My biggest problem has been with this concept, I realize.
Let's take a closer look at what I mean... I have a lot of time to listen to myself. Because life taught me very well that my best friend should be myself first. Thousands of thanks to this! This has always been my motto: “What kind of person would you like to be friends with?” “Be that first!” “Would you like to date someone like yourself?” “Then be that person first!” Examples like these could multiply. Instead of always finding faults in others or, more clearly, seeing the deficiencies in others, "How sufficient am I?" As I began to look at his questions, my enlightenment followed. The concept of value was also at the forefront of them. This is the emphasis I have made in almost all of my writings. I realize now that I don't even know what this concept really means to me, let alone based almost all of my life on the concept of value. While defining this concept, I see that I have forgotten the most important element while interpreting it through the people in my life and the events I have experienced: MYSELF. It turns out that I was defining my own reality, my existence, with the focus on making others happy. For this reason, I always saw the events I experienced as unfortunate and myself as unlucky. When I read my articles, my emphasis was on the spiral of "Return to yourself, value yourself first", but in practice this is not the case at all. As I mentioned above, “Do you want to be friends with yourself?” When I ask the question, my answer is yes every time, but it turns out that the "become self-worth" part is not working in my inner world.
First of all, one should be honest with himself. First of all, I think he should be able to have transparent conversations with himself. After spending quite a long time with myself, I realized my mistakes. I was taking everyone and sitting them in such a corner of my life that there was no place for me to sit. In one of these internal conversations, I first started by reinterpreting the concept of value. Fortunately, I learned in practice that being able to say "me first" is not selfish. When I changed the direction I looked at this concept, everything was solved like a domino. Everyone is where they should be, and I settled in the corner of my heart house. Thus, I arrived at my destination on my journey to find my own light. Me and me, whom I met at the place I arrived at, are now quite close friends. Thus, I shine in the gilded armor that I have turned into myself, and I celebrate finally being able to give my worth to myself first. And you know what the really good news is? I can host everyone in my life in the most beautiful corner of my heart. After all, when you are in the center, access to everywhere is easier, isn't it? With this article, I note that I have now come to the end of my self-discovery and self-worth pattern. Thus, by wrapping myself in the purest and most transparent feelings, my best friend, I give my oath of friendship once in front of you. See you soon with my new journeys…

You bring me self meditation. I do value myself but sometimes it is inevitable that I'm asking my worth. But I keep trying myself everyday to be good, to appreciate myself, to love myself because no one does. Thank you for this wonderful piece, it mean so much to me.
Thank you for your comment. Glad I could be helpful to you.
