What led you to read.cash?
Naturally, some people do something because they have a passion for it. Most times, you find people doing a particular thing because it's what they love to do. Well, it's what most motivational speakers say and affirmed. Passion has always driven most people in the conduct of their actions. You see that student studying that hard course in school and not relenting? It's because he probably loves doing it and whatever you love doing doesn't bore you at all.
The same goes for users on this platform. Normally, we are different, and considering the many users we have here, you can't say all of them have a passion for writing. Some are here for the money while some are also here because they love to write and share their thoughts with others. Writing is an art and I am always thrilled when I see beautiful and reasonable publications and articles here by seasoned writers from different countries.
If you asked me what led me to publish on read.cash? well it's not other than that I needed money then. When I first heard about read.cash, I was only in for the money because of my financial condition back then. Even back then I wasn't a professional writer but I wasn't discouraged because of that. I tried so hard to write meaningful content and make my voice heard through my input to the site. Many times I have come across some beautiful and relevant writings here.
Writing is a weapon and also an art. You can write to destroy or promote others. Writing is such a powerful weapon. People write to enlighten or educate others. That is why you see many educative books all around.
I always strive to be more professional in my writing. I wanted to undergo some training so that I can be more qualified in skills such as copywriting, content writing, and blog posts. I learned that I could monetize these skills from different freelance platforms. If you are also aspiring as a writer or wants to earn from writing, you must improve and develop yourself. Once you are sure of your skills then you can start making your mark as a writer. Too bad many are not competent enough to become a professional writers. All they want is quick money. Well, I don't wholly blame them but I blame their incompetence and their refusal to improve themselves.
I don't know but read.cash hasn't been paying a lot like before. I don't know why this is so even with the reduced number of active users. I still struggle to write meaningful content here and I wish the tips from the random rewarder is better. I know many people have the same experience too. I just hope the team finds a lasting solution to this. Meanwhile, I will continue to believe in the importance of writing and how we can use our intellectual property to change the world. I am open to new ideas and how to make much more from monetizing my writing skills apart from here of other users here.
**Don't relent on writing. Always write and write every day**

The Importance of Social work in the society.
Social work especially among Africans is still very much in development as the government doesn't prioritize social work as one of the most needed academic discipline or practiced based profession. Social work is much needed in almost every societies across the world. Social work is concerned with helping individuals, families, communities and also correcting injustices like rape, providing help for less advantaged people like the poor people, and so on. We can see social workers in almost every facets of life and organizations that includes schools, hospitals, prisons, various public and private agencies. Social workers responds to the needs of various individuals, groups, families and the community at large. They empower the less vulnerable groups such as children and women, internally displaced persons. etc.
In terms of getting funds to help others in the society, a social worker may be granted some budget for social work services from the government. Also a social worker can also help other people or be involved in social work by spending from his or her own pocket without anybody's help or assistance. It depends on whether you work for yourself or work under the government. Social workers may based their services on different aspects such as;
1. Child welfare
2. Health care
3. Marriage or family issues.
4. Mental health and substance abuse.
5. Internally displaced persons from war incidents. etc.
Social workers are very much needed in the society because of what they do. For example, Social workers work with health professionals like doctor to help patients. Social workers look into the reasons why a problem exist in an individual. Let's consider a person battling from depression. A doctor may prescribed antidepressants drugs and advised the patients to sleep. However, a social worker looks deeply into what caused depression and advised on ways to go about it. Social workers work hand in hand with the doctors. They look for ways to solve a patient depression by communicating or interacting through indepth interview with such person.
When dealing with sick persons, social workers also go to their clients' houses to check their hygienic conditions too. They ask about their food intake before they use their drugs.
Social work services provided many assistance for people especially vulnerable groups. Such assistance may include giving such vulnerable groups such as orphaned children access to education, retirement benefits for the retiree, grants for the ages, etc. Social workers also link people with community resources.
Social work in most underdeveloped and developing nations of the world is still linked to the remedial practice. What is meant by this is that social work is being practiced or regarded as some sort of remedial practice. It is when the problems that needed social work services has occurred that people feel the need to access social work services. Unlike the developmental practice that presents solution by looking at what caused a problem, the solution is already there. A social worker should be able to forecast an impending problems and look for solution. Sometimes social work is hinged on preventing problems, not by looking for solutions after the problems have occurred.
Social workers may employ different ways such as indepth interviews, one on one conversation with their clients in order to help them in their problems. Social work is still very much underrated in most developing countries but they are essential for a society well being.
Women's participation in politics and some obstacles.
Have you ever noticed that in every political systems, there's always the dominance of the system by men than women. In some African states, it is believed that women are less intelligent and doesn't fit for political roles. Even in more civilized and contemporary political systems in the developed states, women are still looked down upon by their male counterparts when it comes to making political decisions or occupying offices of power.
Participation in politics may come in different roles or segment. A person who votes during election is participating in politics. Vying for political roles or posts is also a means of participation in politics. A country that wants progress and development must be able to embrace mass participation in politics both from men and women of the state, mass participation in politics will helps to bring out the best of the leaders who will govern the people right.
Let's consider some of the reasons why women don't involve themselves in politics or participate in politics.
1. EDUCATION AND TRAINING.
Most families with inadequate financial resources will resort to sending the male child to school leaving the girl to other ways of life hence making women a liability. When it comes to politics, people always look at for the best in terms of education and training and it's so sad that women are always at disadvantaged position especially in African states. Most families will rather give the best education and training to their male children and leave the female ones because they believed that the males will do better than the female ones.
Education and Training serves as a major obstacle to women's participation in politics because most times, women are not educated and trained in the same capacity like the men to hold political positions. Women need to power to be able to resist violence and subjugation by men, but the means to get that power through provision of education and training is hindered.
2. WOMEN'S DUAL BURDEN AND THEIR TRADITIONAL ROLES.
Historically and traditional in the African states, women are also known to be house keeper and they are limited within the confines of the home. They are not allowed a say in matters that are external. People'a expectation of women in the society has incapacitated the will of women to vote or participate in politics. Some people believed that the roles of the woman is just to take care of the children and manage the home, people assumed that this ascribed role should be solely performed without any interference (political participation). In some places, women who decide to participate in politics are seen as irresponsible, because they neglected their traditional roles and try to logger heads with the men in the political space or systems. Women are generally believed to be limited to the kitchen and child rearing and they're not expected to have aspirations in politics or participate at all. It's one of the obstacles that hinder women's participation in politics.
3. THE PERCEPTION OF POLITICS AS BEING DIRTY GIVEN THE HIGH LEVEL OF FRAUD AND CORRUPTION.
Women are naturally believed to be less aggressive and modest unlike men. When politics is seen as a dangerous game that can only be played by hardened men, it's always a turn off for women who desires to hold political positions. Many believed politics is dirty and only dirty people can play it. This assumption may wane off the interest of the women to vote or participate in elections. There is also the issue of lack of confidence, when the women are not confident enough to take part in political decisions that affect the country.
Access to resources, money and education can also serve as an obstacle to women's participation. Men always get the upper hand when it comes to getting resources and money to pursue political interests than the women.
To have a good political structure and system that breeds democracy, men and women must be allowed equal chance in political participation. Resources needed should also be distributed fairly and equally without centering gender.
Preventing Body Odour
Body odour is rampant in our society, especially among adolescents. Some people have body odour but they do not even know, some knew they have body odour but they don't know how to go about it. Body odour is an irritating thing and we need to care about it as individuals. Body odour can make people withdraw from those having it without even them knowing. Body odour can be caused by many factors including sweat and many other things. Getting to the root causes of body odour is the best way of getting rid of it. Many people use perfume occasionally when they did not even know what cause their body odour.
Body odour is the unpleasant smell we perceived that the body gives or emit when the bacteria that lives on the skin breakdown sweat into acids. Body odour can increasingly occur when a person reaches puberty. It's very unlikely for little children or babies have body odour. Body odour can have a specific smell attached to an individual which may be used to identify such a person. In military or criminal cases, a person can be smell off by military dogs as a result of their body smell.
Body odour can be caused by many factors such as health issues, sweat and so many others. Taking sweat as an instance, sweat is normal occurrence for everyone, especially when engaging in physical activities, walking under sun, jogging in the morning, playing football. Sweat is a natural way of a body's temperature regulation. But the awful smell that sometimes accompanies sweat can be very embarrassing especially when in the company of friends and loved ones. Naturally sweat is odorless, but brings out unpleasant smell due to the action of bacteria that builds up on the sweaty skin. Many parts of the body are likely to develop body odour such as armpit, genitals, skin, feet etc.
1. One of the factors that can be responsible for body odour is diet. There are some certain foods that their consumption makes the body produce unpleasant sweat which results in body odour. Foods like locust beans, onions, garlic etc. Sometimes food intake leads to body odour and when we have indigestion which can lead to gassiness, our mouth produces unpleasant smell too.
2. Another cause of body odour could be physical stress. It's normal to be active when going about daily activities. Many people sweat excessively while performing their daily activities or labor. Too much of physical stress leads to sweat and sweat leads to body odour.
3. One of the most common causes of body odour is poor personal hygiene. Lack of proper personal hygiene leads to body odour. When people do not have their bath or wash thoroughly some parts of their body, it may cause their body to be producing unpleasant odour.
4. Excessive weight accompanied by a lot of fat in the body and that is not taken care of can cause body odor. Obese people are susceptible or prone to having body odour.
5. Underlying medical conditions or health challenges may also be a cause of body odour.
HOW TO PREVENT BODY ODOUR.
Things we can do to prevent or avert body odour include;
1. Avoid or limit foods that contribute to body odor. e.g garlic, locust beans.
2. Bathing with antibacterial soap always and thorough washing of every areas of the body that are prone to sweat such as under arms and feet can help a great deal in preventing body odour. It should be noted that it's important to dry ourselves thoroughly to prevent breeding of bacteria on our skin or body.
3. Use of deodorants or antiperspirants.
4. Wearing of free clothes that allows air into the body thereby preventing sweat from building up. Wear clothes that are moderate for each season. In all, avoid tight clothes or wears.
5. Change your socks regularly to prevent foot odour.
6. Doing regular laundry can prevent body odour and we should also avoid wearing other people's clothes.
7. Maintaining good personal hygiene can also prevent body odor and help our body smell quite good and normal.
Plant Trees...
Have you ever see trees and wondered about what they actually represent and their benefits to us and the ecosystem at large. Some of us believed or see trees as just normal natural resources around us with absolutely no special value attached to them, but it might interest you to know that trees hold such great value and is even essential contributor to the survival of mankind. Trees are good and highly beneficial to mankind. God gave us different kinds of trees for food and health purposes. Trees are also used for building construction. Due to the increase in our population, many people have ignorantly cut off trees that are supposed to benefit us. This has limited the benefits we are enjoying from tree resources, hence the need to replace them by planting another trees, also known as afforestation.
Have you ever wondered the benefits that trees give, some of the benefits of trees include:
1. THEY GIVE OXYGEN TO HUMAN: Studies have revealed trees as one of the source or provider of oxygen to humans. Trees emit oxygen which is needed for the survival of human beings because we can't do without oxygen. Yet, it's funny how people cut down trees without any alternative like planting another ones. Trees are essential in the provision of oxygen. Cutting them down without replacing them is like bringing gradual doom to the existence of mankind.
2. THEY PROVIDE FOOD, PROTECTION AND HOMES FOR BIRDS AND MAMMALS: Some animals like birds, monkeys use the trees as a home and resting place. While human beings build their beautiful homes and sleep in it, some of these animals actually don't have any home except the trees.
Apart from the acomodation the trees provides, trees also provide food for animals and even human beings. Trees bearing fruits serve as food for birds and other animals. Trees also provides protection for animals. Sometimes weak animals hide on trees to hide themselves from other animals that may want to prey on them.
3. THEY SERVE AS SOURCE OF HERBS FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION: Trees are excellent giver of herbs that contribute positively to the health of humans. Especially in African countries, herbs are derived from trees and plants which are used to treat several ailments that disturb humans.
4. THEY OFFER COOLING SHADES IN OUR HOMES. Trees provides fresh air and cooling shades necessary for a conducive environment. Cooling shades will reduce the presence of heat in our homes as a result of the presence of trees. With more trees, more coolness and less heat.
5. THEY HELP IN REMOVING CARBON DIOXIDE FROM THE AIR, STORING CARBON IN THE SOIL. Trees are excellent in absorbing carbon dioxide that is harmful to humans. They absorb it and emit oxygen to the air and the environment.
6. They also add beauties and grace to our homes and community. Have you ever seen a house decorated with trees? They always look beautiful and amazing because trees are naturally beautiful and they add beauty to our homes too.
Why am I not getting tips from the random rewarder for some of my recent articles? I'm getting bothered. Is anyone in my shoes too?
Maintaining good oral health.
Have you ever experienced mouth odour, it's something that is very embarrassing to have as humans. Many people are afraid of speaking or communicating when they are with people or friends because of their bad mouth odour. Oral health is an integral element of general health and wellbeing, including quality of life. Oral health may affect quality of life in many ways, an unhealthy gum or aching gum will cause trouble and pain for whoever have it. Mouth odour occurs as a result of bad oral health. This can limit an individual's capacity in biting, chewing, smiling, speaking and psychological wellbeing.
Our oral health is very important because our mouth is one of the essential parts of the body, it carries other parts of the body like the tongue and teeth. To enjoy our meals, enjoy overall quality of life, have a good self esteem and a stable social confidence, a good oral health is essential. Healthy gums and teeth make it easy to eat well and enjoy good food. There are different oral diseases that can occur due to mouth odour. Some of them include: Toothache, tooth decay, oral cancer, mouth sores, tooth erosion etc. Proper brushing can prevent tooth decay.
Many things can cause or lead to oral diseases and these may include;
**1. POOR ORAL HYGIENE.**
Some people have poor oral hygiene that eventually affects their oral health. Some won't brush their teeth at all, while some do not brush their teeth properly. And if teeth is not properly taken care of through brushing, it can lead to tooth decay or gum disease.
**2. UNHEALTHY DIET.**
What we eat can also cause oral diseases. People fond of eating sugary foods or junks can expose themselves to oral diseases. Chewing gums continuously will affect the teeth later in the old age.
**3. CHRONIC DISEASES.**
These include cardiovascular diseases, cancer, diabetes and respiratory diseases. All these can cause oral diseases.
4. Smoking and drinking of alcohol may have a tendency of contributing to bad oral health. The mouth serves as a passage, so it is very easy for disease to penetrate through smoking and drinking.
Oral disease can have many effects such as pain especially if the gum is affected. There will also be discomfort which may cause sleepless night for the victim. The discomfort may also leads to limitation in eating leading to poor nutrition. This is to show that our oral health is very important and should be taken care of.
Maintaining and taking care of our oral health can be in these ways;
1. Brushing our teeth twice daily with a toothpaste that has calcium. Calcium help our teeth to stay healthy and be strong.
2. Another way to maintain our oral health is by replacing or changing the toothbrush every three or four months.
3. Eating a well balanced diet and limiting junks. Junks can contribute to bad breath and should be limited or avoided totally.
4. Having regular dental check ups, at least every six months.
5. It's also important to decrease sugar intake to prevent tooth decay and premature tooth loss.
Anger Management: Things to do when you are angry
The moment of anger is a delicate one and many people do irreparable things when they are angry. Well some people will say it's bad to get angry, I will quite disagree with that. Anger is part of human emotions and nearly all get angry, even though the degree of anger differs among different people. Anger management is a very important virtue to possess. According to the popular axiom coined from the Yoruba words, "Hot anger can destroy in 20 minutes what you have worked for in 20 years". This is to affirm the fact that during the moment of anger, one must exercise adequate caution before making any decisions that one may regret later.
It's important to know what to say in the heat of anger. Words spoken out of anger may be bad and have a bad influence on whom it's spoken too. Same could be said of quick decisions made during period of anger. Some people have killed their spouse as a result of anger, some have done things so irreparable, that are bad and they won't have done ordinarily but which they did because they were angry.
In the moment of anger, it's important to know that being silent is very golden and have many advantages. Not many people can keep quiet when they are angry with others especially when there's disagreement of some sorts. There are some things to note during moment of heat or anger.
1. **BE SILENT, IF YOUR WORDS COULD DAMAGE A FRIENDSHIP.**
For some reasons, your friend made you angry and you wanted to say some very bad words to him or her. It's advisable to keep silent if you know your words could hurt your friend. Most times, being silent during the moment of anger shows your maturity. Trust me you will be thankful you didn't say those bad words once you are calm.
2. **BE SILENT, IF YOU WILL BE ASHAMED OF YOUR WORDS LATER.**
Many people are fond of saying shameful things to others when they are mad at others. Once they get calm they get ashamed of what they have said. This happens most times between couples; between a wife and her husband. A wife when she's offended may talk rudely to her husband or describe his inadequacies or shortcomings. Later once she's not being angry anymore she becomes ashamed of what she had said and start begging for forgiveness.
3. **BE SILENT, IF YOUR WORDS COULD CONVEY A WRONG IMPRESSION.**
People are sensitive when they're angry. It's better one stays silent if one's words could have a wrong impression on others. There's nothing more ideal than staying silent in the heat of anger. A meaningful silence is always better than meaningless words. Don't say the wrong words. It's better not to talk at all when you are angry.
Take a pause and ask your self if what you're getting angry for even worth it. Many people get angry over insignificant things, things if little value. Before you get angry at your best friend or your lover, do you even have the facts before accusing your partner. It's important to engage in dialogue with anyone you're getting angry with. It's a good form of preventing conflict. Getting angry is normal but don't let it turn to boiling rage. Anger does not breed good things. It spoil things and should be well managed.

Staying in your comfort zone?
Comfort zone is a place in everyone's life where we enjoy life at most. It's a place of enjoyment and of course comfort. The comfort zone is a place void of worries and anxiety. To some people their comfort zone may be in their parents house, where they don't have to pay the bills or live a hard life. To others their comfort zone could be anywhere, it could be a town with good prospects and all that.
Due to life events and other things, people at least once in their lifetime have to leave their comfort zone to make or start a new life elsewhere. Some even believed that if a person wants to amount to something worthwhile in life, he or she has to leave his or her comfort zone and go elsewhere in finding himself or herself.
Comfort zone in itself is not bad as nobody in life wants a place of discomfort, everyone fancy a nice and easy life. However, staying too long in the comfort zone is not ideal and can have some pretty bad consequences on people. Comfort zone may kill a person's high dreams of success. Why? because the comfort zone doesn't push people to work harder, it makes them feel relax. Most of the successful people we know all around us today own their own success to the fact that things were not rosy for them at the early stage of their life, hence they were gingered by their unpleasant condition to work things better for themselves. If such people remain in their comfort zone, they might not have attained success in the long run.
Staying too long in the comfort zone won't earn you any respect. Because you haven't really faced the harsh realities of the outside world, hence you will be abused by people around you. Consider a man of marriageable age still living aimlessly in his father's house. Such man cannot earn the respect of people around him. Until he make up his mind to start his own life by leaving his parents house such person will be underrated by people. Staying in the comfort zone means he's still depending either financially or mentally on his parents and that's too bad. One of the inevitable steps in the road to success is leaving one's comfort zone. Success doesn't come to people easily, it comes to people who intentionally and diligently pursue success. Independence is very vital in achieving success. Always have an Independent mindset, don't be too dependent on people with your needs.
Nobody has the obligation to be providing all of your needs for you, our parents can't even provide for all of our needs and there's also that stage where they ask you to start working for yourself too. You must be able to improvise in certain situations of life.
Do you know that leaving your comfort zone is a Herculean task and that you need to have a good plan before venturing into an unknown journey. If you don't have a good plan of what you're looking for and how to achieve it, and you just leave your comfort zone, you will suffer a great deal. That's why some people don't leave that comfort zone, not because they don't want to but they haven't figured out yet their life plan. As you go in the new year, have a concise plan of what you want to achieve and set your goals. This is my first post on read.cash this year and I hope you hearken to the overall message in this article.
I wish you all a wonderful year 🥰
Dangers of Brain Drain.
Have you ever wondered what it means for a country who suffers from brain drain and the implications that follows it. Back then in high school, I first learnt about what brain drain was in an economics class, and the reason for its occurrence. I was taught back then some of the economic implications of brain drain.
What is brain drain and why does it occur in the first place? Brain drain refers to the emigration of individuals often high trained and qualified to another country from their own country. It's a reduction in human capital.
Considering Nigeria as a country that suffers brain drain, there are many young and brilliant intellectuals who have left the country in search of greener pastures,. In narrower terms, they leave the country to better their lot professionally or financially. Once they're established abroad, instead of them to come home to be a useful human resources for the development of their country, they stayed abroad and help increase the foreign gross domestic product (GDP) without coming back to their home country. Many a times such people are often blamed but sometimes they aren't to be blamed. Why, because they didn't find their home country rosy or conducive enough for them. If you ask an average Nigerian nurse if he or she is given an opportunity to work in Nigeria or abroad, where will she work? I believe most of them will prepare to practice their expertise and professional skills abroad rather than home.
Why is this so? because they believed that working abroad will bring more better pay and job security than working at home where they can be sacked anytime.
If a country is experiencing brain drain, one of the implications is that such country will suffer lack of human resources needed to improve and develop the country. When people of professions like engineering, medical practitioners, financial analysts all leave the country for a better place abroad, it will reduce a country potential to grow and develop. Because all the brains that can help to boost the economy of a nation are nowhere to be found. Most of these foreign countries know the implications of brain drain and how it can affect them positively if they can lure in talents from different countries. Hence they look for means to lure intelligent ones into their country by many means. Such means can be in form of free scholarship and grants to non indigenes. Those countries will look for the best means to attract the best, they train them and then retain them to work for them.
It's essential that to reduce brain drain, the government of such country must work diligently by providing incentive and encouragement for her citizens so that the will to work for their own country is established. Many people love to contribute to their society and country at large but they don't find support from the government of their country. There should be incentives like free education, job security for employees and higher wages. All these will help to reduce the number of people trying to emigrate out of the country. Human capital should be encouraged especially in African states, so that the best are retained.
Favouritism among siblings by Parents
Are you in a family with many different siblings asides you? If yes you will agree to me that there are many advantages of having siblings aside you, there are some benefits that may be enjoyed by the siblings due to the fact that they are many in the family compared to a single child in the house. An only child born into a family will easily catch boredom because he or she doesn't have anybody to play with. He or she will only rely on the parents to play or communicate with. The siblings in a typical large family can help one another and also serve as good human resources to help with house chores and all other tasks in the house.
However, in a situation whereby there's more than two siblings in the house, usually there's always a possibility of undue favouritism towards the children by their parents. Needless to say that there are some disadvantages that comes with a family with three or more siblings. If those children are not well trained and managed responsibly by the parents, the siblings grows us to be rival of one another. Another thing that can be considered before going for a large family size as a couple is to ask whether there's financial resources enough to cater for their needs. Obviously large family size with many siblings usually implies large expenses which requires finance. However, a good family size with good financial resources for maintenance do have many benefits.
Have you ever considered favouritism in your family before? As parents, have you ever thought of the fact that you might actually love one or two of your children more than the others, if yes then that's undue favouritism. Many parents usually give some privileges to one out of their children. For some parents, they show their favouritism towards their children by prioritizing their needs, some even go as far as giving more food to those they liked and giving less food to other kids without any reasonable explanation.
Favouritism is usually based on the fact that the children are different in behaviors, abilities and so on. Those children whose behaviors and abilities probably align with the parents' interests will receive more favours from the parents than the others. However favouritism has many implications that are adverse and that can affect a family structure.
Putting one child against the other(s) may warrant hatred among the siblings. Consider Joseph in the bible and how much hate his brother had for him, he wasn't initially hated but the singular love his father has for him above his other brothers annoyed his brothers that they even sought to kill him. Prioritizing a child above others will bring hatred and hate, rivalry in the family. Since every child will compete to seek their parents favours, unhealthy competition and rivalry may creep in. As parents it's not always ideal to love one child and other less. The love and care must be shared accordingly to them. A child who feels he's not loved enough or like his or her other siblings may feel worthless and develop hate both for his parents and the other siblings. The most irony thing about this favouritism is that it's usually the most unfavored that brings out the best results and make the family proud because the unfavored one will work very hard to secure the love of the parents.
Loving all our children equally will promote peace and unity in the family. The children will feel a sense of belonging and rivalry will be reduced. As parents, we should treat another children the same, don't grant unmerited favours to one and discard the rest. Let equal love leads
The bad effects of Rape 2
From the first article, https://read.cash/@Seansam/the-bad-effects-of-rape-1-aff0a5f4. The causes of rape was mentioned and how terrible and bad rape is. The consequences or effects that comes after rape can be disastrous and unpleasant as well to the victims or survivors.
Do you know that many people that are rape victims don't always want to talk about it because of stigmatization, except for some understanding people, rape victims are always tend to be stigmatized in the society which can have some very bad consequences to the victims. Hence some of these victims don't usually speak out and ultimately rape incidents keep growing. What are some of the bad consequences or after events that comes after rape? I hope @meitanteikudo can relate with these and actually add more.
1. SUICIDE.
Do you know that many rape victims as a result of shame commit suicide once they're raped. Suicide is the act of killing oneself and it's not quite unusual to hear about people that killed themselves especially females because they have been raped. Once their pride has been forcefully taken they don't care about their lives anymore because they will feel worthless. In the olden Africa times, a woman who becomes victim of rape is always seen as a disgrace to her family especially if she's not married yet. Hence such woman to save her family or her father from disgrace may commit suicide. That's to show how bad the effects of rape can be.
2. UNWANTED PREGNANCY
Rape done once can lead to pregnancy. If the victim doesn't have the ability; both bodily and financial capacity to cater the pregnancy it can further leads to many more problems. Unwanted pregnancy can shatter the victims dreams such as academic dreams and other life aspirations. Unwanted pregnancy will bring many economic costs and other costs to the victims too. It is important to warn against rape and also to educate people about it so that rape incidents can be reduced in our society.
3. FEAR OF SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASES OR INFECTIONS.
Apart from having fear of the possibility of having STDs from forced and unprotected sexual activities there's also the possibility too. There are many victims that have contacted sexually transmitted diseases such as HIV/AIDS from rape. That's why it is equally important to get one checked up quickly if one falls victim so that proper treatment may be given.
4. POST TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER (PTSD)
The trauma that comes after rape can be so traumatizing and unpleasant to rape victims. Rape victims find it difficult to forget about the rape incident and may have a hard time in trying to forget it. One of the post traumatic stress disorder that may happen to them is their inability to initiate sexual relations with those they love truly, their mind will always go to the rape incident they have experienced before, this may ultimately bring fear to them whenever they're close or intimate with their loved ones. They feel unsafe among people especially the opposite gender. In worst cases, some of them feel extreme hate towards the opposite gender and may disassociate or alienate themselves from others.
Rape may or may not be totally eradicated in the society but with good preventive measures, it can definitely be reduced. Some of the preventive measures includes;
1. Avoiding unsafe situations such as walking alone in the dark or solitary place.
2. Proper sex education and gender sensitization can help to reduce rape occurrence among teens.
3. Teaching our children about rape could occur from inappropriate touches by adults. Let them understand the ways by which they can be touched that is deemed appropriate and other ways that they can be touched that may not be appropriate.
4. Learn to dress in a good manner and not in a provocative way.
There are still many preventive measures that can be employed to reduce rape incidence in the society. I hope, @Semaj2k21 ,@Jinifer you see this and can possibly share your views on it more.
The bad effects of Rape 1
Rape is a form of sexual violence or assault that is rampant in the society today. It's antisocial because no society embraces rape. Even though in some certain regions or countries of the world, there are stringent and hard laws that guards against rape occurrence, yet statistics on rape keeps growing everyday.
Rape can only be narrowed to what part is needed to explain because the concept of what rape is, is very vast and wide because rape in contemporary times has been said to be something that could occur even between married people. Hence many believed that rape is a weapon for many reasons by offenders.
**WHAT IS RAPE?**
When talking about rape, people always tend to narrow their definition of the concept based on the feminine gender alone, however rape is something that can happen to anybody, both male and female. Some even believed animals can be raped. Rape can be defined as a form of sexual abuse whereby a person is forced into sexual activities or intercourse unwillingly. Such people are known as victims of rape, those that have been forced into the very bad act. Rape could stand or based on many conditions, such as unwillingness, forcefulness, sex with infants or those less than the age of consent.
Rape has many bad effects, both psychological and physiological effects are inclusive too.
**CAUSES OF RAPE.**
There are some underlying conditions or factors that warrant incidence of rape. Rape is not just something that sprung up immediately, it's always something that has been on the mind of rapists, it's not spontaneous. Some of the reasons why people rape their victims include the following:
**1. LOW SELF ESTEEM.**
Some people lacked low self esteem to the extent that they find it difficult to willing approach the other gender of their feelings for them. Some of them may resort to raping the other party since they cannot approach them to talk to them. Low self esteem may be hinged on many factors; it may be as a result of poor look, not having enough financial resources as a man and so on. These kind of people always think they are not just good enough probably to be in a form of sexual relations with someone they like because they believed they won't be accepted based on their low self esteem, then in their desperation, some of them may resort to forcing their sexual feelings on those they claimed to love.
**2. BAD DRESSING OR PROVOCATIVE DRESSING.**
Sometimes, bad dressing can provoke rape behavior. Although some believed that there should be freedom of self, including what to wear and what not to. However, provocative dressing attracts the eyes and ultimately bad thoughts are conceived. Males are easily attracted by what they see. A person that dresses in a nude manner may trigger some males to want to have sex unwillingly with them because not all men can control themselves.
According to a very popular axiom, "it is how you're dressed that you will be addressed". Dressing moderately will attract respect to yourself not only because of the issue of rape alone. You can't dress properly and be addressed in a rude manner except the person that wants to address you is not sane enough.
**3. LACK OF SEX EDUCATION**
Many adolescents who feels the need to make out with the other gender without adequate sex education from their parents also constitutes more to the rape occurrence. Some adolescents without proper knowledge enter into sexual relations and even engage in rape behavior without even knowing.
Easy access to pornographic materials can increase the urge to want to have sex either willingly or not which is very bad, a good gender sensitization and sex education can help to reduce rape incidence.

1. THE DEPARTMENTAL COUPLES
These set of students are the ones everyone knows in the faculty or department as couples, you see them doing things together such as walking, eating, some even cohabitate together while some puts on the same clothes. You can't help but wonder if those students will eventually marry themselves after school. Lastly most of them always leave the other heartbroken. You would find it very funny if those couples have a carryover 😊.
2. THE FASHION KILLERS.
Those types of students are always referred to as the "slay queens", if they're females. They are the one that trends most as a result of their dressing. They dress exquisitely and wear the latest designs and brands. Except for few, most of these girls gets their money from runs or from their rich boyfriends. Only few of them can actually afford such affluent lifestyle. They are the most dressed once it comes to lectures or going to class. They're usually easy to sight in class.
3. THE LIBRARIANS
These kind of students are always in class reading or in the library. They're probably those ones that come from poor backgrounds and they have to do everything to make it successfully in school. They don't accept any form of hindrance, they're always focused. Infact little out of them are sociable because most of them spend all their time reading in the library. Anytime or anywhere you see them, you must see them with past questions.
4. THE SECRETIVE TOPPERS.
Merely looking at these ones you will think they're not serious, until the results come out and that they wowed everyone. They shock everyone with their results. These kind of students are mostly introverts who doesn't like to attract crowd. They just study in a secretive manner without attracting crowds.
5. THE RELIGIOUS STUDENTS.
These students are so spiritual that they see every happenings as something that relates with the spiritual. They always go to other students in the hostel or classes trying to convert them to their faith. They are ready to do everything for religion's sake. Some of them are so religious that they lose focus of other important things like their academics. All they are after is about their faith.
6. Another group of students is those that will never take part in any group assignments or projects. They simply don't care and don't have any contribution to make in group assignments. If you get like four of them in a group work, the group is finished already 😊.
7. THE LOW GRADES STUDENTS.
These ones have low grades or cgpa that they don't even care about school anymore, they just want to graduate and leave school. They might have been ended their first year in school with low grades and have lost all hopes of graduating in high colours again.

Different types of students studying in Nigeria Schools
The Educational institutions in Nigeria, universities, colleges, polytechnic and many more depicts the rich educational systems in Nigeria. There are many types of students in Nigeria educational institutions that will make your day. Just want to crack your humour okay? Here we go.
1. THE STUDENTS ENTREPRENEURS
This kind of students in schools are entrepreneur rated, they are your regular students who has a business going for them as a hustle or part time job. They don't care about anything else once they get up their business straight. You begin to wonder if those students actually come to school to start a business or something. However a student entrepreneur begins business at a young age and through their consistency and determination, they do make it through to become successful entrepreneurs in the future. One shortcoming with some of these set of people is that some of them eventually lack focus of what made them to enter into university; to achieve academic achievement.
2. THE CONFUSED ONES
These ones don't know why they're studying at all, these set of people fall into the categories of students whose course was changed due to one reason or the other. They just study in a nominal way without due value attached to it. They just want to graduate and move on with their lives, so they just accept to study whatever course the school give them.
3. THE MOST INTELLIGENT ONES
These kind of students are not so difficult to find, they are mostly those ones the lecturers fancy most during class lectures. They might also be those ones you see people trying to relate with to help them with their academic work. These kind of students don't find it difficult to get girls around them anytime anywhere. They are just brilliant as they use to top every courses in every semester. One will wonder if you that can't compete with them is really unlucky in life. Some of them are so proud while some of them just go with their normal lives, trying so hard not to be noticed.
4. THE UNLUCKY ONES.
These kind of students are really the most unlucky ones indeed. I once fell under it for a while then. Chuckle 😊. These people don't miss class but the day they miss it will be the day the lecturers will take a test or take attendance. One will feel so bad not to have taken the test because of a day's absence. This kind of students always have this misfortune come upon them anytime they're absent from school, nothing will happen during the time they're always present in class but a day off from school will hit them hard.
5. THE GHOST STUDENTS.
The ghost students are ones you will never see in the department or in classes until during exams period. You wonder if they can really pass the course. Some of them are always sent out during exams by some lecturers because they didn't meet the attendance criteria set by the lecturers. Don't be amazed to know that not all students taking a course do appear in class for lectures, there are some people you will only see during tests and exams period.
6. THE LAZY STUDENTS.
This kind of students don't really do any students tasks while in school. They are the ones that hate stress. They pay their course mates to do assignments, tests, practicals etc. Some even pay others to write their exams for them, they don't just want to associate themselves with the rigour of school stress.
I have shown you some types of students in schools, the list is much more but I want to know your thoughts about what this is all about in your environment too. More to come on the different types of students and their distinctive attitudes while studying.
How my journey spanned on read.cash
How I found myself on read.cash was incredible, the journey was hastened more by my friend who convince me that I could earn cryptocurrency as a writer, inclusive of the fact that I could become a better writer as I write and contribute to the platform everyday. I have been an active user or member of this platform since more than a year now, I joined around August/September last year.
I could still vividly remembered that then the rewards system was based on point system then and not the random rewarder. That been said, has a lot of limitations too as your points is very much based on different number of factors in which the amount of engagements(likes and comments) to a very large extents determine one's points, hence new users around that time doesn't really stand much chance not like now when everyone stands a chance with the random rewarder.
As times goes on, we come to see about the noise.cash too where you can just get tipped for your noise, meaningful noise as that. I also spent some couple of times on the site and it's has been amazing all through. However my first account on read.cash accidentally entered spam and I have do everything to bring back the account but all to no avail. I mailed the necessary official email for this platform yet no response from them. Since my account entered spam that time, I have tried to continue to be an active member of this site by creating other accounts but I was unable to earn with any of them, guessed the random rewarder doesn't want to reward new users anymore but I hope my guess will be wrong with another new account of mine.
Nevertheless, I was able to gain vast knowledge on what cryptocurrency was all about. we have many cryptocurrency that one can invest in, there's Bitcoin and other altcoins(alternative coins other than Bitcoin). Most cryptocurrency tries to solve a particular problem and they all have their use cases unlike shitcoins. I learnt of amazing cryptocurrency like Bitcoin cash. I am a strong holder of Bitcoin cash because I believed personally that it has a very good potential in the nearest future. I have come to meet many great writers on this wonderful site too. writers like tired momma have been amazing, and others too that I can't actually remembered their handles again. I don't know if the random rewarder will do well with me this time around as I just attempted at getting another account of mine running.
I hope everyone enjoyed Christmas and the new year ahead. Share out the love with others and be happy. My name is Samuel and I really want to make out friends here again after a long while. If you feel the same, then let's try to be friends huh
