Beware False Prophets on Read.Cash!
It's a fantastic Sunday and another day of the gift of life. Hopefully the first words coming from your lips when you were awakened were words of thanksgiving to God who made it all possible. Opposition From time to time we see some false teaching and preaching of God's word on this wonderful platform. In fact, a lot of times. This is because not all those who supposedly believe are meant to be teachers or preachers. And those who do believe simply are new in the faith and/or have not learned proper theology - the study of doctrines (critical teachings) in God's word. As with any teacher or preacher, **we should always compare what they say from God's word**, like the Bereans did: "Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and **examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true**" (Acts 17:11, NIV). This includes anything I write or comment on. Check me out with what the Bible says. Check everyone out. We read in James, the brother of Jesus: "Dear brothers and sisters, not many of you should become teachers in the church, for we who teach will be judged more strictly" (James 3:1, NLT). Jeremiah The prophet Jeremiah had a ministry that lasted 32 years, from 627 B.C until 598 B.C. He was called of God and commissioned by God by the touching of his lips: "Then the Lord reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, “I have put my words in your mouth. See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to **uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant**" (Jeremiah 1:9-10, NIV). Talk about a guy who faced a lot of opposition! Whoa, man! The government of Judah was always on his case. The priests of his day were opposed to him because he upset their comfortable lifestyle. King Jehoiakim was also displeased with him, and even the people of Judah were unhappy with his preaching of repentance. But Jeremiah kept preaching anyway. But Jeremiah did not lose hope or his faith, because he was pleasing God. We observe something similar throughout the Bible, but here is one example: "But Peter and the apostles replied, We must obey God rather than any human authority'" (Acts 5:29, NLT). Rebukes Rebukes are not always popular. In God's everlasting word we believers are commanded to rebuke and correct a fellow sinning brother or sister when they divert from the truth. We read: "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work" (2 Timothy 3:15-17, NIV). The New Living Translation, which is a paraphrase, captures the verses more easier to understand: "All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work" (2 Timothy 3:16-17, NLT). Unfortunately, people are stubborn and don't like to be wrong. As a young Christian 20 years ago I was wrong on a lot of things. Like a newborn baby I was feeding on the milk of God's word. When corrected by peers in the faith I listened, and then searched the Bible to find out if it was true or not. **We should all do this.** The stubborn will always be among us. Get used to it. In like manner, false teachers will always be among us. We must learn to discern what they say and teach and correct them in a spirit of love ir avoid them entirely. Types of false religions and prophets It's important that we who follow the teachings of the true living God to be aware of the many false religions in the world today. It would take hours to list them all. Some of the more well known cults and false religions consists of Universalism, Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormonism, Islam, Inglesia de Christo, Hinduism, Buddhism, Christian Science, Freemasonry, many Seventh Day Adventists. and many, many more.
One of several ways to spot a false religion is by noting any church or religion that denies Jesus is God and that the Bible is God's inerrant word. Another way is to be on the lookout for **syncretism - the mixing of different beliefs**.
For example, we do not mix God's word with Eastern mysticism - the mind consciousness, the name it and claim it gospel, etc. We do not mix pagan beliefs of psychology with God's word. We do not mix Islamic beliefs with Christian doctrines. Doctrines There are a multitude of churches that espouse the name of the Savior, Jesus the Christ; however, many of them disagree about who He is. Is He God? He is! He claims to be numerous times throughout the Scriptures. If any church or religion denies Jesus is God, get away - they are false teachers. Was he born of a virgin? He was! Isaiah predicted it in 7:14, some 700 years before Jesus was born. If anyone teaches otherwise - leave with a quickness! Will Jesus really return a second time? Indeed, He will! If they say he won't or has already come again, do not believe it. Leave! Various religions, even those who purport to be Christian, will answer the above-mentioned questions quite differently depending on a church's belief about the Bible. **We believe there is absolute truth found in the Bible.** And Jesus said: "If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and **you will know the truth**, and the truth will make you free" (John 8:31-32). **Belief, that is, faith in Christ** is also improperly taught. Just because you raised your hand one Sunday and said, "I believe" does not make you a Christian. Being born into a Christian family doesn't make you a Christian, either. Believers are those who realize they are sinners, repent of their sins, believe on Jesus as God who was crucified and rose from the dead, are baptized as they confess their belief publicly, who obey God's commands, and who endure until their last breath. The remedy The remedy for every heretical or false teaching is the proper view of who Jesus is - the Man who alone is God, the Messiah preached from the beginning in Genesis until Revelation, the Savior of the world for all **who will believe**, and the Great High Priest who existed before the world was created and who lives forever. Again, we must regard His word and study it to disclose God's truths. My prayer is that you will heed these words and beware of false prophets and teachers. I do not share your belief. But I'm not going to argue with you on this. To live in a civilized world, we must be able to tolerate each other's thoughts and beliefs. I have a beautiful prayer for you. May God illuminate your heart with the light of truth.
Pray tell what is actually civilized about our world? It is wrought with violence and evil everywhere we turn. Is that your definition of civil? By the way, God the Father, through the power of the Holy Spirit, does indeed illuminate my heart daily and all day. As for whether you share my belief or not is your choice, but the truth is nevertheless plain in the writing. Finally, while I believe in tolerance it has its limits: I do not tolerate false teaching nor those who deny the truth of the Bible or who twist its truth for wicked agendas. Have a good day.

I have found the truth in God's word the Bible. 20 years of study. Do you think the Apostle Paul and others were not strict when it came to essential doctrines? How about Jesus? They were! How bout the prophets in the Old Testament? All were. There can be no deviation from the truth f we wish t be obedient to God's commands. We must correct false teachings in a spirit of love.
You are free to choose what to believe. No one can take this from you. Please do not get me wrong. My goal is not to win the argument. Actually, I don't want to argue. You have studied a religion for 20 years. You can set aside 20 days for others. At least you'll know exactly what you're denying. Last word from me to you. Ask yourself, "Have I researched the truth enough?" Whatever you do, you do for yourself. Whether you decide to seek the truth or believe you have found it. The choice is yours.
I do enough for self - we all do. What I do I do for the true living God, thus the opinions of men are of nothing to me insofar as when I preach and teach the truth. Does this mean I neglect those of discordant opinions? On the contrary, I listen, then refute false arguments in a spirit of love, much like my teachers from the Bible, although perhaps with not as much eloquence. The prophets of old and new, and even Jesus argued. This does not equate to the contemporary parlance that opines arguments are negative. Rather, they are productive save when heated. I do not profess to know your paradigm or belief system, but based on your refutation of my writing, I do have the wherewithal to observe it is not Christian.

Jesus is and was a prophet. But He is God first and foremost . If he isn't God, he is either a liar or a lunatic and thus not a good teacher. And if He is not God, then our lives are lived in vain and we should do whatever pleases us most, knowing that apart from God we all rot in the ground and with no hope of an afterlife. My spirit perceives that you're a Muslim based on your words. Islam is one of the three major religions in the world and is growing. If indeed you are a Muslim as I highly suspect, you are the offspring of Ismael rather than Isaac, God's chosen heir of Abraham, even though Ishmael was born first. Your prophet Mohammed was born around 570 and the Quran was written (plagiarized) in about 610 AD, long after the New testament's first century prophets. There was no subsequent revelation from God the Father - and there will not be. Your prophet is deceased and in the grave, unlike the prophet God Jesus who arose from the dead as God the Father planned before the foundation of the universe.
After all, we are all servants of God. Yes, Muhammad was a prophet and mortal. He was just a human. A special person, of course. He was the prophet of the end times. The end of the world is coming slowly. In fact, there is a common danger to us. So it's nice that we can chat with each other despite our differences. You know they put statues in the squares of some cities in the USA, right? As the world comes to an end, Muslims and Christians will cooperate more. When they understand the real danger, the real enemy, they will draw strength from each other. There will be a danger of pagan origin. A growing threat from the past.

Oh they are everywhere. Figured it won't be long till they are here too. While preaching truth though, we need to pepper it with prayer.. unless it comes across with love, it won't be heard correctly or received hmm what's the word.. "it will not be welcome". Besides, if the person does not have the Holy Spirit, these things will be foolishness or garbled talk. Until then we continue to preach Jesus however way we can. By the word of course.
Love can be harsh, though. Stern like Jesus and Paul and the prophets. Because we love, we must preach the truth. I do my best not to attack, but I have a clear conscience when I point out false religions and erros.
Agreed... As Jesus and the others did.. :) and however way we intend not to attack they will still feel that way anyway .. so as long as the intention is to preach the gospel and not just to be right, go!

It's easy to say the words of God but hard to figure out if the speaker is really devoted to God. Better believe what you think is right about your own God.
If you know the Bible it is easy to discern if a speaker or writer is speaking the truth. And by the way, there is only one true God.
I wish to understand the scriptures the way you did, someday I may, a lot of people don't believe Jesus is God, if we see such people let's try to make them it, but if we couldn't help them then we avoid them, thanks for the wonderful word
Just keep studying, Nick. Let me encourage you to do so. Read daily if at all possible. Get into God's word so it gets into you. Be blessed.
This is why many of the few good pastors will advice that when we hear anything our mind isn't align or comfortable with, the Bible which is the word of God is our guide. We can go through it and see if what God says is same with what we hear. The best is to make friends with the word of God to guide and correct us in the true way of Christ. I love to refer myself to the word of God and never depend on what someone say. We shouldn't allow people deceive or put words in our mouth, we have the right to check through ourselves from the word of God because it doesn't lie and speak the truth.

One of my classmates have this hate towards christianity because he said, Christians use John 3:16 to impose fear to people, but that verse is absolutely true, any verse in the Bible come from God it's His Words for us to be guided. I'm happy to encounter a brethren here in rc. Yes, accepting Jesus Christ as our savior is not enough for us to be save, we have to realize first that we are sinners bound to hell and without the shedding of Christ's blood we can't be save. We are already redeemed, sin from the past, present, and future are already forgiven. Now we have to wait with faith and endurance until the 2nd coming of Jesus.

So all the sins we have committed in the past and now and in the future have already been forgiven. Then it's okay if we continue to sin. According to this logic, is it free to sin? I am confused.
If you're a true Christian, why would you choose sin, the main reason why Jesus Christ died in the cross? That is not to sin freely, here is a simple example. You keep on eating foods that damaged your kidneys and now you'll die if you didn't undergo transplant, your dad donated his kidneys for you so you can live and your dad died. Will you eat those food again? Food that damaged your kidneys and also reason you dad was dead? No. Same as sin, will you willingly commit sins that led Jesus Christ to pain and shed blood? No.
In Matthew, Marcus, Luke, and John, Jesus says that the way to avoid sin is to follow God's commandments. In the Bible Jesus never says "I am God". According to the biblical Jesus, God is one and unique. Jesus even says that equating anyone with God is the greatest sin. No problem until the Apostle Paul. However, Paul claims that Jesus is god. Is Jesus right or Paul? What sin are you talking about avoiding? From the biggest? @Scotty17
I'll let the Bible speak: "The woman *said to Him, “I know that Messiah is coming (He who is called Christ); when that One comes, He will declare all things to us.” Jesus *said to her, “I who speak to you am He” (John 4:25-26). "The Father and I are one" (John 10:30). "You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to" (Philippians 2:5-6). “This was why the Jews were seeking all the more to kill him, because not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God“ (John 5:18). "Yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist" (1 Corinthians 8:6). And let us not forget Genesis 1:26 where we read: "Then God said, Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness... The Godhead, that is, the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit are the "us" and the "our." If you need more, I have 20 other verses at least.
One of the Professors of Textual Criticism at Bob Jones University in South Carolina, USA, says: “As the Bible has been circulating through the centuries, many people have made some additions. He also removed some parts. Adapted to the region in which it is located. The book we have is not perfect. There are errors. Only by faith can we perfect this book.” I'm sure you can show me a lot of verses on this subject. You are an educated person, after all. However, you also know that there are parts that contradict each other. I don't want to say too much about this anymore. My purpose was for you to realize some truths and avoid the greatest sin. I did my best. No matter what I say, you're looking for a way to justify yourself because you're afraid to question. To find the truth, one must not be prejudiced. I am not saying God is wrong. I said I disagreed. Who we are to judge right or wrong?
We MUST judge right and wrong. It's in the Bible. Our mission is to preach Jesus crucified and salvation is from the Lord for the remission of sins. There is no other way (John 14:6). Everything I wrote is in the Bible. Everything. So you have a beef with Jesus, not me.
I see that some do not agree with you but do not be discouraged. They are denying the truths of the God of the Bible, not you. You're just the messenger God asked you to be, a devoted follower of Jesus. Take comfort in that fact.
I'm not discouraged, I am rather encouraged. Jesus said wide was the gate to destruction and many enter into it, but barrow is the gate and few enter in (Matthew 7:13-14).
