Also, when they leave the [1] footnotes in it is also [2] a pretty good indication that it is not something they wrote themselves. And I kind of 'get' it. People trying to make easy money. Why bother exerting yourself to write something when the Internet already has millions of groups of carefully orchestrated words to choose from? <---*insert Snarkasm™ here* And while no, I don't approve (but who really cares what I think eh?), it is better, in a way, than the people that take an article and 'spin' it to avoid being caught plagiarizing. Those people KNOW they are doing something wrong and are trying to hide it. And then you get this person plagiarizing a post about plagiarism, and when I called them on it they replied: "Hi, I'm so glad you noticed it! I intentionally posted this to see how people react on my post. I'm currently doing a study about something and I bumped into this article. I thought of posting this to have a simple experiment 😊." Of course I then mentioned the OTHER dozen or so plagiarized articles on their profile. Long story short, they said "I think this needs to be addressed, thank you so much for your concern. Moving on, I won't post similar contents here." And their very next post was again a plagiarized piece. *shakes head*
