9:10 A.M. CDT USA April 29, 2022 Olney, Illinois THEY ARE HERE!!! And on the fourth day of my watch, the Northern Spring migration of the Rose Breasted Grosbeak finally appears. And wonder of wonders, a sighting of not just one of the beautifully-marked males, but two of them. ☺ It was 8:30 this morning when a quick feeder check showed the first male at one of the feeders. I had previously set a camera on a stand pointing to it and immediately started doing captures and video (I ended up with 5:27 of video). I must admit to grinning a big ol' grin when the second male showed up a few minutes after I started watching. I'd been doing constant checks since April 26th, which is the earliest day I've watched it (the migration) show up here for the last 8 years. #birds #photography #migration
