Yeah, the password alone is not enough. But with the password the thief can log in to read.cash and steal seed. In this case, nothing has been stolen. I checked the transactions. Everything went to her trust wallet to one address. She must be confusing.
No, again, if I gave you my password - you will log in to my account, but your device doesn't have the seed, only my device has the seed. The device, not the account. After you login, you'll immediately see the screen that says that this device doesn't have a seed, so you should either enter it or create a new one. Even if you somehow close that window and get to backup your seed phrase screen - you'll get an empty seed phrase, since this device (yours or hacker's) doesn't have my seed phrase :) So, stolen password doesn't give access to the seed or money.
I didn't know that. Then I've been spreading false information here. I'm sorry. Thanks for the correction.
Hope it has been rectified?
no one can withdraw your funds even when the know your readcash password not unless they know your seed phrase or they used the device you use to withdraw. If they were able to steal your readcash password and try to log in to a different cellphone, PC or tablet, they will be asked for your seed phrase first before they can have access to your wallet. So it's either someone used your phone to withdraw or someone stole your seed phrase. how? they can steal your seed phrase if they have access in your phone. Let's say I borrowed your phone and you are logged in to readcash, I can then screenshot your seedphrase and send it to my phone. Or if you wrote it down somewhere and they find it. Something like that. There are many possibilities how they can steal your seed phrase. Now, if you download an app, and that app can steal your informations in your phone, then it's not readcash's fault. We need to be very careful especially when we use the internet and our phone as our wallet. I think Readcash once told that they can generate another seed phrase. Email them. Or you can create new wallet and still have your account...
