Here I go again, after being inactive for so many hours, allow me to write something today. But yeah, let me greet you all my fabulous readers and writers. I hope we are all having a wonderful day/night today.
The weather this morning is so great. I woke up early today at 6:00am. This day was again the first time I became an early bird. Hehe. I have reasons that's why. Today marks the day I will have my first dose of covid vaccination. I was really hesitant at first, but now, I finally decided to have it. I even asked my friend many times. Haha. He answered my queries patiently. And so, here I am now, I belong to the queue here at SLU school. It's a very long line, and I hope, before 12 noon, I will be able to have my vaccination. Or else, I will have to tag myself as absent in my first class. There will be another penalty added and absent record. Huhu. As much as I'd want to preserve my good records, but these kinds of situations prevents me from doing so. I just hope and pray that the student will cancel his class. My next will be at 5:30pm. Hehe. Please...
I should have had my first dose last month, right? Hehe. Another regret for me today.
Today's article, let me write my experiences about the waiting games I had. You will know when you read my article continuesly. Thank you. π
The Waiting Game
The waiting time game is what I'm playing now. Lols. I arrived here at the vaccination area at exactly 8:00am. I rode the jeepney and walked here alone. And now, wow, the line is very long. π± Maybe a hundred meters or more. We no longer practice the one-meter distance since the spaces don't allow us. We have one foot distance only. Maybe, as long as we wear our facemasks and face shields properly so it will help us not spread the virus, in case someone have it right now. No one knows.
Here's the line in one floor:
My Own Photo
We came outside the school first, we waited for twenty minutes before entering the area. When we entered the gate, I was shocked to see that there were many people standing on their lines. Huhu. I was even surprised to take the stairways up to the fifth floor. Quite long, right? I should have come here early, maybe earlier than seven. Huhu. Many people wee still coming in so I guess, they will soon close the gate and won't accept anyone for today.
I did not expect this to happen. π So I assured myself to arrive here at exactly 8:00am, since my friend said that, it's different from before wherein, people would start lining up as early as 1:00 am at dawn. I guess, the city where I live is really over-populated with people. This is one reason why I should go and live in the province, just that, there's no strong internet connection there.
On the other hand, the good benefit of me lining here for hours is that, I can write and publish my article this morning. Yey! We may experience hard things in life but still, let's benefit from it, just like this. Hehe. Chos. I'm a little preachy, huh! π€
We already survived and came down to the second floor. By the time I publish this article, maybe I'm already done with my vaccination. Hehe.
Unexpected Happening
I don't want to blame anyone but only myself. I just inserted this unexpected thing that is happening with me right now. Hahaha.
When I first lined myself, I asked the guard where to line up for people who will have their first dose of covid vaccination, he showed it to me and followed it. Little did I knew, that, it was only for minors. From 12 to 17 years old only. Wow, I spent almost two hours there. Haha.
Then I rushed here in UB, another college university. Luckily, the line was fewer and much better and it was really for adults. We sat while we waited. Here's my own photo of it.
I heard this man I'm following, while he was talking to someone on the phone, it was loud not to hear it, hehe, he said that he came from SLU too. So it was not me who made a mistake, I guess, there are more adult people who lined up there too.
I guess, the problem was the miscommunication. So lesson learned for me this morning, I should ask the details first. So to avoid this kinds of experiences. Lols.
I want to laugh actually. π πππ Maybe, if I came here earlier at 8:00am, I finished having my first dose and went home already. But due to my carelessness, I suffered it. Haha. Anyway, I don't want this to happen. This is not the first time. Hihihi.
Other Waiting Games
Other waiting games I had were of course, those times when I waited for my friends for about thirty minutes. Haha. Those were the times when my friends were not friendly with their times, or not time conscious. Me too, I admit. Hihi. So we just waited patiently with each other.
It's not a problem to wait as long as, the person or people we're waiting will arrive. Hehe. What does this mean? Hmmm. It's up to you to interpret. Hihi.
I will never forget the time I needed to wait for two hours just for the jeep to arrive. That was when I was still in college. Wow, I was tired from school and was exhausted from all the paper works, assignments/homework, and, before arriving home, I needed to wait for thirty minutes to more than two hours. Whew. From 7:30pm to 10:30 pm, or sometimes, 11pm.
If only, that time, I knew or found out about the short cut roads, then, I should have walked. It will only take thirty minutes to walk from the town to where I used to live. Then, I shouldn't have waited for many minutes or hours. Whew. Just that, sometimes, I have many things I'm holding so it won't be possible. As for the taxi, I don't have my daily expenses for that since I'm just relying to my monthly allowance from my parents. When I have extra, I ride a taxi sometimes. I also had my budgetting techniques that time to make my allowance enough for myself. Hehe.
Ending Words
I have so many experiences for these waiting games. And I'm sure, I'm not the only one who experienced it. π I believe, you too. Admit it. Hehehe.
Whenever I think of these memories, I say to myself, "You've had enough Shiela. You were able to do those things. It's time for new challenges." And yeah, I do experience new and hard challenges too. Like the problems in life as an adult. Like financial needs.
What about you, how were you able to deal with these waiting games? Did you survive? Comment down below if you like. βΊοΈ
Thanks for reading my article. So thankful for reading my article again. God bless us all! π
When I got my first and second doses I only waited 20 minutes. Where I live there are many more people and where my parents live there are not, so I decided to travel and get the vaccine there, I also spent a lot of time with my family.
Where I live, my couple's family waited in line for 12 hours to get the vaccine.
