optimism
Optimism is part genetic, part learned. Even if you were born into a family of gloomy Guses, you can still find your inner ray of sunshine. Optimism doesn’t mean ignoring the reality of a dire situation. After a job loss, for instance, many people may feel defeated and think, “I’ll never recover from this.” An optimist would acknowledge the challenge in a more hopeful way, saying, “This is going to be difficult, but it’s a chance to rethink my life goals and find work that truly makes me happy.”
And thinking positive thoughts and surrounding yourself with positive people really does help. **Optimism, like pessimism, can be infectious.**So make a point to hang out with optimistic people.
Ways to keep our heart healthy
**1.Cut down on salt**
If you have a diet high in salt, it’s likely that your blood pressure could be high too – which means you have an increased risk of suffering from heart disease or stroke. The recommended maximum daily intake of salt is just 6g for adults and 3g for children (2.5g of salt is the equivalent of 1g of sodium). Cut down by trying not to use any salt at all at the table and reducing how much you use in cooking. Also, keep an eye on food labels to check how much salt you’re eating in processed foods (foods with more than 1.5g salt or 0.6g sodium per 100g are high, so avoid them wherever possible).
**2. Eat less sugar**
Too much sugar in your diet could lead to weight gain, which can raise your blood pressure and lead to diabetes and heart disease. If you have a sweet tooth and can’t give up sugar altogether, simply have fresh fruit with yoghurt instead of sweetened puddings and cakes.
**3.Limit saturated fat**
Eating too much saturated fat – found in butter, ghee, margarine, fatty meats, dairy fats and processed foods such as pies, pastries and cakes – is believed to increase cholesterol levels. So switch to semi-skimmed milk and low-fat dairy foods instead of full-fat ones, choose lean cuts of meats and steam or grill instead of frying.
**4.Fill up on fruit and veg**
Increase the amount of potassium in your diet by eating at least five portions of fruit and veg a day (potassium can help to lower your blood pressure). The nutrients in fruit and veg – including vitamins, minerals and fibre – may also help to keep your heart healthy. Some fruits and veg that are rich in soluble fibre may also help to lower your cholesterol, including citrus fruits, sweet potato, aubergine, mango and most beans and pulses.
**5.Go for more fish**
Oily fish such as pilchards, sardines, mackerel, salmon and fresh tuna, are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which are thought to be particularly beneficial for your heart because they improve your cholesterol levels. If you’re a vegetarian you can get omega-3 fats from spinach, wheat germ, walnuts, flaxseed and flaxseed oil, soya and canola oil and pumpkin seeds.
**6.Quit smoking**
Smoking is one of the main causes of cardiovascular disease, and smokers are almost twice as likely to have a heart attack compared with those who have never smoked. It not only damages the lining of your arteries but reduces the amount of oxygen in your blood and raises your blood pressure.
**7. Cut back on alcohol**
Alcohol can affect your heart by causing high blood pressure, abnormal heart rhythms and damage to the heart muscle. But you don’t have to give it up completely. Just stick to current guidelines for moderate alcohol drinking, which are two to three units a day for women and three to four for men.
**8.Get more exercise**
Studies show that people who aren’t very active are more likely to have a heart attack than those who are. Aim to get at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity activity a week to lower your risk of developing coronary heart disease. You can split up the 150 minutes any way you like. For instance, have a brisk 30-minute walk every lunchtime during the week.
**9.Keep your weight down**
If you’re heavier than you should be, your risk of high blood pressure, high cholesterol and type 2 diabetes is above normal. Eating less sugar and saturated fat while cutting back on alcohol, eating more fruit and veg and getting more exercise can all help you lose excess pounds – and keep those pounds off in the long term.
**10.Keep stress under control**
If you’re under a lot of stress, you may be more likely to smoke, take little or no exercise and drink more than a moderate amount of alcohol – all of which are linked with heart problem.
The three hadith of Ramadan
One of the essence of the fast of Ramadhaan is to have one's sins forgiven. This is why the three ahaadeeth of Ramadhaan mentioned forgiveness of sins for:
-those who fast with eemaan and hopes for rewards
-those who observe qiyaamul-layl with eemaan and hopes for rewards, and
-those who witness Laylatul-Qadr with eemaan and hopes for rewards.
This three-step process is meant to ensure at least one of the three would guarantee forgiveness of sins. So, if your fast is deficient in whatever way, your qiyaamul-layl should make up for it, and if that too is deficient, witnessing Laylatul-Qadr should make up for it. Keep this in mind when making du'aa before, during and after 'eed celebrations, it's never too late with Allaah, عز وجل.
Also, as we celebrate today, please ponder over the following quotation, we ask Allaah to increase us in happiness and joy. Imaam ibn Rajab Al-Hanbalee (رحمة الله تعالى عليه والرضا) said: " 'Eed is not for the one who wears new clothes, 'eed is for the one whose obedience increases. 'Eed is not for the one with beautiful clothes and fine means of transport, 'eed is for the one whose sins are forgiven."
We ask Allaah to forgive us, purify us, heal us and heal our world and count us among those He's pleased with, aameen.
Wishing you and your family sincere congratulations and blessings on witnessing this blessed 'eed of breaking the fast. We ask Allaah the Protector, the Mighty, the Majestic, to make our days be filled with joy and happiness. And to make us and the entire Muslim Ummah witness many more years full of goodness, blessings, health, peace and security. May Allaah accept from us, all our righteous deeds and acts (aameen).
عيد سعيد مبارك
كل عام وأنتم بخير
تقبل الله منا ومنكم صالح الأعمال
What life should be like
To learn while still a child
What this life is meant to be.
To know it goes beyond myself,
It's so much more than me.
To overcome the tragedies,
To survive the hardest times.
To face those moments filled with pain,
And still manage to be kind.
To fight for those who can't themselves,
To always share my light.
With those who wander in the dark,
To love with all my might.
To still stand up with courage,
Though standing on my own.
To still get up and face each day,
Even when I feel alone.
To try to understand the ones
That no one cares to know.
And make them feel some value
When the world has let them go.
To be an anchor, strong and true,
That person loyal to the end.
To be a constant source of hope
To my family and my friends.
To live a life of decency,
To share my heart and soul.
To always say I'm sorry
When I've harmed both friend and foe.
To be proud of whom I've tried to be,
And this life I chose to live.
To make the most of every day
By giving all I have to give.
To me that's what this life should be,
To me that's what it's for.
To take what God has given me
And make it so much more
To live a life that matters,
To be someone of great worth.
To love and be loved in return
And make my mark on Earth.
World of my own
The Years have passed by,
In the blink of an eye,
Moments of sadness,
And joy have flown by.
People I loved,
Have come and have gone,
But the world never stopped,
And we all carried on.
Life wasn't easy,
And the struggles were there,
Filled with times that it mattered,
Times I just didn't care.
I stood on my own,
And I still found my way,
Through some nights filled with tears,
And the dawn of new days.
And now with old age,
It's become very clear,
Things I once found important,
Were not why I was here.
And how many things,
That I managed to buy,
Were never what made me,
Feel better inside.
And the worries and fears,
That plagued me each day,
In the end of it all,
Would just fade away.
But how much I reached out,
To others when needed,
Would be the true measure,
Of how I succeeded.
And how much I shared,
Of my soul and my heart,
Would ultimately be,
What set me apart.
And what's really important,
Is my opinion of me,
And whether or not,
I'm the best I can be.
And how much more kindness,
And love I can show,
Before the Lord tells me,
It's my time to go.

4 ALMERICA CAPRA
Many historians believe that Villa Almerica Capra, a luxurious villa in Italy, belonged to the Rennaissance age and was designed by Andrea Palladio.
Recognised and conserved as part of a world heritage site, Almerico Capra is on a hillock outside the city of Vicenza.
The villa is a symmetrical building with four porticos. Each portico has statues of ancient deities and a single window. The main rooms of the villa are located on the second floor.
Legend has it that the designer Palladio did not see the completion of the villa as he died in 1580. After his death, another architect is believed to have taken over the construction with some changes made to the earlier plan.
The villa has a grand hall covered by a domed ceiling and surrounded by a balcony. Today this building attracts tourists, historians and even film makers.
5 HOLOCAUST
young girl’s diary written during her hideout from the Germans on account of the Holocaust brought name and fame to this building in Amsterdam, which is believed to be one of the oldest homes in the world.
Historians are of the opinion that this building was constructed around 1635 by Dirk van Dleft. It consists of three sections. While the first one was thought to have been used for dispatch entrance, the second section contained spice mills, and the third contained warehouses.
In addition, the building comprises a back house, a rare extension of the building that was concealed from view due to the surrounding houses.
Anne Frank lived in a secret annex in the home with her elder sister and parents before they were apprehended by Germans and sent to concentration camps.
6 BLENHEIM PALACE
Believed to have been built in around 1705, Blenheim Palace is located in Oxfordshire, England. Recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is thought to be one of the 10 oldest houses in the world.
Historians argue that the palace was home to the Duke of Marlborough. The area of the building covers around seven acres.
The palace contains a central rectangular block in addition to east and west blocks. There are royal suites for dukes and duchesses on the east side of the building as well as a picture gallery on the west side. In addition, there is a portico on the north side.
7 MOUNT VERNON
Mount Vernon certainly deserves a mention as it was the home of George Washington, the first president in the USA.
According to sources, it was built around 1727 in Alexandria. Located 16 miles from Washington DC, Mount Vernon is a 500-acre estate that includes a fourteen-roomed mansion.
Although the estate’s architect is unknown, the house is believed to have been built on the lines of Palladian architecture.
The main estate has three blocks. While the principal block of the building is a two storey structure, the remaining ones are one storey.
8 MONTICELLO
Located in Virginia, Monticello is believed to have been the first American home with a dome ceiling. The house was built in around 1726 by Thomas Jefferson, the third president in the USA.
According to Monticello.org, Jefferson built and rebuilt Monticello over a period of forty years. This building has east and west porticos. While east portico opens to a parlour, west opens to grand entrance hall. Towards north and south, there are terraces.
Sources say that Jefferson built the staircase rather narrow and hard to climb, but it was far more elegant than regular staircases at the time.
9 FINCA VIGIA
Finca Vigia, meaning lookout house, is considered to be one of the top 10 oldest houses in the world. Situated in Cuba, the property was once home to famous author and journalist Ernest Hemingway.
The house was built in around 1886 by Spanish architect Miguel on a hillock that is about eleven kilometres away from Havana.
Reports state that Hemingway purchased the building in 1940 at an approximate price of $12,500. After his death, the Cuban government took the ownership of the house.
The building is currently a museum wherein visitors can visit and look at the home’s interiors through windows. However, they are not allowed to enter the actual rooms.
10 MARK TWAIN HOUSE
Arguably the oldest house in Connecticut, USA, the Mark Twain House was built in 1874. Named after its owner Samuel L Clemens, whose pen name was Mark Twain, the house was designed to look like a riverboat.
Reports indicate that the house was designed by New York’s noted architect Edward Tuckerman. Its building style is that of Victorian gothic revival architecture.
When the construction of the house was underway, Hartford Daily Times reported: “The novelty displayed in the architecture of the building, the oddity of its internal arrangement and the fame of its owner will all conspire to make it a house of note for a long time to come.”
The Mark Twain House received the David E Finley Award from the National Trust for Historic Preservation in 1977. In addition, it was named by The National Geographic Society (NGS) as one of the top ten historic homes in the world.
Being unique
Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of somebody else. Be yourself don't let anyone else control you.
No matter what your differences are, you have to embrace them and be proud of the way you are.
I find that the very things that I get criticized for, which is usually being different and just doing my own thing and just being original, is the very thing that’s making me successful. Normal is not something to aspire to, it’s something to get away from.
When you embrace your differences, your DNA, your look or heritage or religion or your unusual name, that’s when you start to shine. Cherish forever what makes you unique, cuz you’re really a yawn if it goes.
The most incredible beauty and the most satisfying way of life come from affirming your own uniqueness. Don't feel ashamed of yourself ,embrace your style and you will find yourself in front of the crowd.
Meaning of life
I have been through hard times, I've struggled like everyone else to find contentment, peace and an understanding of what life is really about. I believe age has everything to do with finally knowing what life is really about which is who we are and not what we have. Life is a double edge sword which can't be escaped is either you're rich/poor,happy/sad,joy/pain, you alone have the power to bend it to whatever shape you see fit. It yours and yours alone.
Life
We are the sum of experiences that we encounter as we go through life. Day to day struggles and triumphs are experienced by all of the world's creatures. As human beings, when we encounter a challenge, we have freedom to choose how to react. Every decision that we make leads us down a different road. We will never come to exactly the same crossroads. Every decision that we make has significance. The tiniest choice that we make reverberates throughout the entire universe. So keep your life safe, YOURS IS DIFFERENT FROM MINE.

Ways in which salah forgives our Sin
11 WAYS IN WHICH SALĀH FORGIVES YOUR SINS
Salāh is an amazing gift from Allah subḥānahu wa ta'āla to this Ummah. In fact, the Sahāba loved Salāh so much that once, in a battle against Juhainah, the enemies of Allāh noticed the Muslims praying Zuhr. They thus planned to attack the Muslims when they would be praying Asr, saying " Certainly, a Salāh will come to them [Asr prayer] that it is more beloved to them than their own children." [Muslim]
Allāhu Akbar! The Sahāba loved Salāh so much to the point they preferred worshipping Allāh through that which He loves most - the Salāh - even to their own families!
Let us look at simply one aspect of how Salāh is a gift for this Ummah:
1⃣ The Prayer Itself is an Expiation of Sins
The Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said,
“ The five daily prayers and Jumu'ah to Jumu'ah is an expiation of the sins committed between those times so long as one is not guilty of major sins.” [Bukhari]
2⃣ Wuḍū Washes Away Sins
The Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam said,
“ When the Muslim or the mu'min (believer) makes wuḍū', when he washes his face, every sin that his eyes has committed (whatever ḥarām we may have looked at, if we didn't lower our gaze when we were supposed to, if we spied on someone we shouldn't have) wash away with the water or with the last drop of water. When he washes his hands, every sin his hand has committed is washed away. When he washes his feet, every sin that his feet walked towards is washed away with the last drop of water until he comes out of making wuḍū' free of sin.” [Muslim]
3⃣ Walking to the Masjid Forgives Sins
The Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam said,
“ Whoever makes wuḍū' at home and then walks to the House of Allāh to perform one of the five prayers, every step he takes wipes away a sin and the next step raises his status with Allāh.” [Muslim]
4⃣ As You Wait for Prayer in the Masjid, Angels Pray for Your Forgiveness
The Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam said,
" The angels keep on asking Allāh's forgiveness for anyone of you, as long as he is at his Musalla (praying place) and he does not pass wind. They say, 'O Allah! Forgive him, O Allah! be Merciful to him." [Bukhari]
5⃣ Saying Aameen (Properly) Erases All of One's Previous Sins
The Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam said,
“ When the imām says āmīn (after Sūrat'l-Fātiḥah), say 'āmīn' because if you say 'āmīn' at the same time the angels say 'āmīn,' then all of your sins you have committed are wiped away.” [Bukhari, Muslim]
6⃣ Every time you make Ruku’ or Sujud, Your Sins Fall Away
The Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam said,
“ When the worshipper stands up in prayer, all his sins are brought and placed upon his head and shoulders, so whenever he bows and prostrates, they fall from him." [Bahyaqi, Tabaraani, authenticated by Al-AlBaanee]
7⃣ Every Sajda You Make Forgives Sins
The Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam said,
“ Make a lot of sajdah (i.e. make a lot of prayer) because for every time you make a prostration to Allāh, your rank is raised and your sin is forgiven. ” [Muslim]
8⃣ Angels Pray for Your Forgiveness After Prayer
When you are done with prayer, angels pray for your forgiveness and mercy, just like they do before prayer, so long as you stay in the same position of the prayer and don't lose wuḍū'. The Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam said,
“ The angels will pray for you as long as you are in the same position that you just prayed in and don't break your wuḍū'. The angels say, 'O Allāh forgive him. O Allāh have mercy on him.'” [Bukhari]
9⃣ We Ask Allah for Forgiveness After Prayer Three Times
After pray, the Sunnah of the Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) is to say, “Astaghfirullāh” three times. We ask Allāh for forgiveness with a heart humbled before Allah and hopeful that He will pardon our shortcomings and transgressions.
🔟 The Adhkaar After Salah Erases Sins
The Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam said,
" He who recites after every prayer: Subhan-Allah (Allah is free from imperfection) thirty-three times; Alhamdulillah (praise be to Allah) thirty-three times; Allahu Akbar (Allah is Greatest) thirty-three times; and completes the hundred with: there is no true god except Allah. He is One & He has no partner with Him. His is the sovereignty & His is the praise, & He is Omnipotent, will have all his sins pardoned even if they may be as large as the foam on the surface of the sea." [Muslim]
How long does it take? Two or three minutes? But people don't do it... and they miss out on incredible reward.
1⃣1⃣ Adkhār Wipes Away Sins in an Incredible Way
The Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam said,
' There are two qualities which no Muslim person attains but he will enter Paradise, and they are easy, but those who do them are few.' The Messenger of Allah (Salalaahu Alaihi Wasalaam) said: 'The five daily prayers: After each prayer one of you glorifies Allah 10 times (say Subhan Allah) and praises Him 10 times (say Alhamdulillah) and magnifies him 10 times (say Allahu Akbar), which makes 150 on the tongue and 1,500 in the balance.' And I saw the Messenger of Allah (Salalaahu Alaihi Wasalaam) counting them on his hands. 'And when one of you retires to his bed he says the tasbih (Subhan Allah) 33 times and the tahmid (Alhamdulillah) 33 times and the takbir (Allahu Akbar) 34 times, that is 100 on the tongue and 1,000 in the balance.' The Messenger of Allah (Salalaahu Alaihi Wasalaam) said: "So which of you does two thousand five hundred bad deeds in a day and a night?" It was said: "O Messenger of Allah (Salalaahu Alaihi Wasalaam), how can a person not persist in doing that?" He said: "The Shaitan comes to one of you when he is praying and says: 'Remember such and such, remember such and such," or he comes to him when he is in bed and makes him fall asleep." [Hasan, Nasa’i]
Why did the Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam say that on the scales, the reward is multiplied by 10? Because, Allah subḥānahu wa ta'āla, the Abundantly Merciful, says
" Whoever brings a good deed shall have ten times the like thereof to his credit, and whoever brings an evil deed shall have only the recompense of the like thereof, and they will not be wronged. "[Al-An'aam, 6:160]
So in Islam, every good deed is credited with 10 rewards, and every bad deed is only credited with 1 bad deed. But why did the Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam say towards the end of the hadith, "So which of you does two thousand five hundred bad deeds in a day and a night?" Because, Allah subḥānahu wa ta'āla says,
"... Verily, the good deeds remove the evil deeds (i.e. small sins). That is a reminder (an advice) for the mindful (those who accept advice)" [Hud, 11:114]
So he ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam is saying that even if you do 2,500 bad deeds in a day, if you pray the five prayers and make this adkhār after each prayer and before you sleep say this, then even if you do 2,500 bad deeds, this adkhār wipes it out and now you are free of sin and Jannah is yours.
Brothers and sisters, Salah is an incredible gift from Allah subḥānahu wa ta'āla for this Ummah. May He make us all performers of salaah ....Ameen
"And keep reminding, because reminding benefits the believers." (51:55)
God is good all the time
A King had a male servant who, in all circumstances always said to him; My king, do not be discouraged because everything God does is perfect, no mistakes. One day, they went hunting and a wild animal attacked the king, the servant managed to kill the animal but couldn't prevent his majesty from losing a finger. Furious and without showing gratitude, the King said; if God was good, I would not have been attacked and lost one finger. The servant replied, 'despite all these things, I can only tell you that God is good and everything He does is perfect, He is never wrong'. Outraged by the response, the king ordered the arrest of his servant. While being taken to prison, he told the king again, God is Good & Perfect. Another day, the king left alone for another hunt and was captured by savages who use human beings for sacrifice. On the altar, the savages found out that the king didn't have one finger in place, he was released because he was considered not "complete" to be offered to the gods. On his return to the palace, he ordered the release of his servant and said; My friend, God was really good to me. I was almost killed but for lack of a single finger, I was let go. But I have a question; If God is so good, why did He allow me to put you in prison? His servant replied; My king, if I had not been put in prison, I would have gone with you, and would have been sacrificed, because I have no missing finger. Everything God does is perfect, He is never wrong. Often we complain about life, and the negative things that happen to us, forgetting that everything happens for a purpose. God is good and perfect!! My dear friend, a good attitude will determine your altitude. When you look at your life, career, job or family life, what do you say? Do you praise God? Do you blame the Satan? A good attitude towards God makes Him move on your behalf. Just sit down and say, Today , I am thankful I had a peaceful sleep, I am thankful I am alive with possibilities, I am thankful I have a roof over me, I am thankful I have a job, I am thankful that I have Family and Friends. Above all, I am thankful that I have God in my life . Be blessed and don't be envious or shocked when others are prospering because you don't know what they have been through to get there (test, trials and tribulation) so thank God for what you have. "Little is much when God is in it. It Is Well With God's grace. if God is for us, who can be against us? . God has seen you struggling with something. A blessing is coming your way.
The oranmiyan staff
**HISTORY OF THE STAFF**
Oranmiyan Omoluabi Odede was a Great Prince of Ife, King of the Yoruba people. Also known as Ọranyan, he was the youngest child who then became the prime heir of Oduduwa upon his return to claim his grandfather’s throne.
Oranmiyan was said to be a giant who was also a warrior. He rescued the people of Ile-Ife everytime there is an inter-tribal wars. He left them and told them the he will always be with them whenever they call.
So when the hour of need arrived, the people of Ife did what he had told them and Oranmiyan came storming towards Ife, destroying everything on his way.
When he arrived Ife to rescue his people, he unleashed so much power that one of the warriors he killed was his friend. Having discovered he killed his friend, hewas filled with fury and he plunged his staff (another fable says it was his sword) into the ground where it immediately turned to stone and became a monolith. He ran into the forest on a horse and never came back or was seen again.
After he left, Oranmiyan became a diety to the Yoruba people and the of Ile-Ife.
**ABOUT THE STAFF**
Oranmiyan Staff, which is traditionally called “Opa Oranyan”, is an erected long staff located along Ondo-Ife Road, Mopa, Arubidi, Ife, Osun State and it represents the cradle of the Yoruba race. It is a slim carved granite column that is almost six metres tall (more precisely, 5.5 metres). So that makes it quite tall in comparison with the average human height.
oranmiyan used the staff as a walking stick and a symbol of his royalty when he was in existence.

Health tip
The issue of unwanted pregnancy among nursing mothers in Nigeria is quite alarming. While most mothers aim to space their kids many don't quite achieve their aim. I have decided to help mothers by informing them on how to effectively use a natural method of contraceptive called UDA water."(in English Negro pepper)
"You should note that unlike hormonal contraceptives, there are no side effects to using UDA water to prevent pregnancies."
"It is also safe for women who are breastfeeding infants, in fact UDA water contains vitamins A, B1, B2, C, E and folic acid.
How do you prepare UDA water?
Step 1: Purchase a large quantity of UDA and put this in a pot e.g. 250 grams which should be about half the size of a tin of Milo.
Step 2: Add about 60cl of water
Step 3: Boil the UDA in this water for 5 minutes and allow it to cool.
Step 4: Once the boiled UDA water has cooled down you can store it into a container of your choice e.g. you can use your plastic bottle and place it in a refrigerator.
UDA water can be preserved in a refrigerator for one month at 25 degrees centigrade i.e. normal storage compartment in the refrigerator.
Do not put in the freezer so that the active ingredient will be stable although is more active when is not stored for too long.
Step 5: Immediately after sexual intercourse with your husband, shake the bottle very well and pour the UDA water into a glass. A glass of this contraceptive water should be just fine.
Some women also prefer to take this before sex because some spermatozoa are stubborn.

YOUR wife is YOU

YOUR WIFE IS YOU
A story to learn from
This is a beautiful story of a student of knowledge. He was extremely hungry, so he went out to search for food but could not find any. he asked people but unfortunately no one gave him. He went into a farm and grabbed an apple and ate, then he regretted his action he was saddened about what he had done. He asked the people who owned the farm, they told him the person lived in a specific area. He went to the owner and said:
Student of knowledge: “Please forgive me, I have eaten an apple from your farm.”
Farm owner: "I will not forgive you and I will be against you on the day of judgement in front of Allah."
Student of knowledge: "It was only an apple please forgive me."
Farm owner: "I will not forgive you" (enters his house).
Then this young man waited outside the house from after Zuhr to before Asr, then the owner of the farm came out. the young man begged again saying:
Student of knowledge: " I beg you to forgive me. I will become a laborer and work for you just forgive me please.”
Farm owner: "Ok i will forgive you on one condition, you will marry my daughter."
Student of knowledge became overwhelmed and happy.
Farm owner: "but she has few problems, she's deaf, dumb, blind and disabled."
Student of knowledge: “What!”.
Farm owner: “I will never forgive you till you marry her.”
The date was set for the young man to come. he came dragging his feet and very sad because he's going to marry someone he's going to be looking after for the rest of his life. He walks inside the house and sees a beautiful woman and she comes up to him the young man was dumb founded and surprised, looking at her.
Beautiful woman: "Are you surprised?"
Student of knowledge: "Yes, your father told me you are blind, deaf, dumb, and disabled."
Beautiful woman: "My father has been looking for a spouse for me for a long time and when he saw that you are fearful of Allah because of the apple that you've eaten, he knew that you are the right person for me. Yes, Im blind from looking at haram, Im deaf from hearing haram, and dumb from speaking ill (haram) and Im disabled to walk to haram". Glory be to Allah, they got married and guess who their son was. their son was one of the greatest scholars of Islam his name is Abu Hanifah (Mercy of Allah be upon him)
10 things to before getting into any relationship or Marriage
HEAL BEFORE YOU DEAL. (Part one)
I know you might be thinking this particular lesson is not for you but listen carefully, there is something in it for you.
There will be two sessions for this lesson. First will be for those still hurt from past relationships and second for those yet to get into any relationship.
You might not have been in any relationship before to know what it means to be heartbroken but trust me you won't want to start a relationship with someone who is still heartbroken and hurt from their past relationship. This is why in our next lesson we will be looking into that.
For the heartbroken reading this, Heal before you Deal. This is very important. It is vital that you get over past hurt before entering into another relationship. Most people fail to do this and they end up hurting themselves and their newly found love.
It is unfair, nobody deserves to suffer because of the crimes of your ex. Some still think about their ex even in a new relationship making their new partner wonder if they are safe or not in that relationship.
See, If you are yet to get over what happened and learn from it then it's not time to start another relationship because chances are it will still fail.
Understand this now.
Some relationships end because the people are not right for you, maybe God is preventing you from future heartbreak which would have been worse than it is now, or saving you from a marriage that will cost you your life. So thank God it ended now.
Clean yourself up first, get over them, be sure you won't treat your next partner less than they deserve which means you are ready to give them the best of you. This is when I will say you are ready to deal again otherwise remain single and heal.
There are a lot of benefits for healing first before getting into another relationship, I will mention only a few because I want to focus more on how to heal because I know this is what most people need right now.
Benefits.
1. It helps you get into another relationship with the right intention. You are not one of those that get into a relationship because they want to get back at the one that left them or they want to use their new partner as a healing tool, after which they might discover they don't really love them.
2. It helps you avoid hurting other innocent people or making them pay for what they know nothing about.
Now
How To Heal.
1. Don't bottle up your emotions or push them away.
Don't cover it up. Learn not to cover that pain because soon it will explode.
Talk about it with someone you trust who is willing to listen to you. It's okay to cry whether male or female. Don't allow anyone make you think it's wrong if that's the way you are able to let out the pain then do it. Try not to do it in front of the one that left or the one you left in some cases. Leave them and go vent and cry somewhere else around friends you trust.
You must understand that people don't just quit on a relationship, it's possible they are physically present but their heart have left the relationship a long time ago. they are only looking for a good time to tell you or waiting for you to do something wrong to fault you for it and use it as an excuse to leave. Most people formulated the reasons why they broke up with you. So don't beg because it won't change anything.
2. Realize that how you are feeling now is normal. It's alright to hate anything related to men or women at that point or not to trust or have anything to do with them again. But You shouldn't continue with it though. At first, it's normal because of the hurt, but don't feel that way to the point you start making wrong decisions. How you feel after a break up is normal. The Bible acknowledges our emotions too, it says be angry but sin not. So know when best to let that feeling fly.
3. Talk to someone that can help.
Therapy is not wrong guys. Counseling doesn't mean you are sick. Nigerians undervalue the power of therapy.
See a psychologist, if you have to. Talk to a mentor, a professional, a Spiritual father or an authority over you. That is someone that can manage the information and help you through the process of healing. Confession helps to heal. Find someone that can pray with you.
4. Open up to God's Spirit.
The best person to heal you Is the Holy Spirit.
Psalm 64:8.
You have to pour your heart out to Him.
When you pour your heart out to friends you momentarily feel better but when you pour your heart to God you open a channel for healing. He understands. Talk to him about the pain. He is your best chance.
5. Forgive.
Forgive them and forgive yourself if you are at fault. Forgive them not because they deserve it but because you deserve to heal. Forgiveness is letting go so you can grow. With forgiveness comes healing.
How you know you have forgiven is when you stop wishing them bad. You stop monitoring them to see if the new relationship will fail. If you continue this way you will only hurt yourself over and over again. You must forgive and let them go. Set them free and set yourself free.
6. You must cut all forms of communication if anything about them reminds you of the relationship and prevents you from healing.
This might be hard to do but this is what you need if you are serious about healing. A good number of people are still held from moving on because they still communicate with their ex. Communication is a way of bonding so it's not healthy if you are trying to move on.
Note. In some cases, the cause and circumstance surrounding a break up are to determine if you should communicate with your ex or not.
7. Join a good support system group.
Find people who are walking their way out of that kinda situation and learn how they do it. A good support system is very important, not everyone will understand you, but a good number of people who have been where you are can go a long way to help you pass through this phase.
8. Pick yourself up.
What ever happened is now in the past, so let it remains in the past, don't carry it through life that it becomes your identity. Understand you have a better life ahead of you. Don't play victim, don't stay down, pick yourself up and live the best life ahead of you.
Note.
Although some people move on fast when they get involved with other people, this is not advisable when you are still deeply hurt and still in love with your ex. Don't go into another relationship if you are yet to heal to an extent. If not you will only suffer your next partner. They will struggle to get your attention if your ex is still in your head. Heal first, forgive them and forgive yourself before a new relationship.
Do everything you can to let go. There is someone else out there, even better for you. Don't hold yourself back, make up that mind today. It is well with you.
Time and chances heal all wounds. Give it time you will be alright.
Watch out for Part two of this lesson. I need to do this for the singles yet to get into a relationship so they will understand how this applies to them.
Fighting
Fighting one another doesn't speak well of one. All Religious doesn't support it,it is believe that whoever engage in a fight is a son of Satan. That was then..
Now today's
Lets take Wrestling as an example, people considered it as a profession
Two people beating themselves up for fun, money in bank, belts like wwe, world heavy weight champion,e.t.c are considered to be game/sport. What a world. Other examples include
Boxing
Kick boxing
Karate
And lots more, all this are called game but in the Holy Book they're Sin.
Why are we changing, what is happening to us. The world is changing, the world is changing No we are the one changing. Its never too late for us to repent, HE is watching us,GOD is watching us.
Fighting is not a sport, its a Sin
Zinah
An Open Letter to all Parents.
Many parents today have become promoters of Zinah through their disobedience or lack of Islamic Laws.
Islam permits all matured being to get married at the appropriate time in order to avoid Fornication or Adultery but today reverse is the case. When u propose to most of the ladies of our generation today, some will tell you my parents want me to have my B.SC and M.SC before I get married.
Some will tell you am too young for that matrimonial duties and obligations.
Some tells you, you ain't rich, come for me when you have a giant building in Dubai, Lekki and good cars, etc.
We parents, are these excuses part of Law guiding Nikkah?
The answer is NO, because Islam is a simple religion.
Many relationship have been destroyed by strict laws laid by parents. Some parents tell their child(ren) not to marry some tribes. Some tells them to impregnate their wives before bringing her home, Subhanallah is this what Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) left for you and I.
Some tells their daughters to request for large Sadaaq(Bride Price) from their husbands, forgetting the Prophet word" The smaller your bride price, the bigger your Barka".
Some parents request for things in which the husband cannot afford. Things like 1trailer of yam tubers, 2 tipper of fruits, etc.
Were you asked to buy all these during your own time? Definitely No, why making life difficult for others.
Now, ask yourself am I a true Ummah of Prophet Muhammad(SAW)? If yes make marriage affordable for your son in-law and if no, prepare yourself for Allah's Judgement.
Let's all work towards this so that our children won't do what they are suupose to do in their matrimonial home in our homes, streets, bar and all other indecent places.
Allahu A'lam. Wa Salam alaykum wa Ramatullah wa Barakatuh.
Thank you God for everything
There was a bird who lived in a desert, very sick, no feathers, nothing to eat and drink, no shelter to live in. One day a dove was passing by, so the sick unhappy bird stopped the dove and inquired "where are you going?" it replied " I am going to heaven".
So the sick bird said "please find out for me, when my suffering will come to an end?" The dove said, "sure, I will." and bid a good bye to the sick bird. The dove reached heaven and shared the message of the sick bird with the angel incharge at the entrance gate.
The angel said, "For the next seven years of its life the bird has to suffer like this, no happiness till then."
The dove said, "When the sick bird hears this he will get disheartened. could you suggest any solution for this."
The Angel replied, "Tell him to recite this verse *"Thank you God for everything."* The dove on meeting the sick bird again, delivered the message of the angel to it .
After seven days the dove was passing again passing by and saw that bird was very happy, feathers grew on his body, a small plant grew up in the desert area, a small pond of water was also there, the bird was singing and dancing cheerfully. The dove was astonished. The Angel had said that there would be no happiness for the bird for the next seven years. With this question in mind the dove went to visit the angel at heaven's gate.
The dove put forth his query to the Angel. The Angel replied, "yes it is true there was no happiness for the bird for seven years but because the bird was reciting the verse *"THANK YOU GOD FOR EVERYTHING"* in every situation, his life changed.
When the bird fell down on the hot sand it said *"THANK YOU GOD FOR EVERYTHING"*
When it could not fly it said, *"THANK YOU GOD FOR EVERYTHING"*
When it was thirsty and there was no water around, it said, *"THANK YOU GOD FOR EVERYTHING"*
Whatever the situation, the bird kept on repeating, *"THANK YOU GOD FOR EVERYTHING"* and therefore the seven years got dissolved in seven days.
When I heard this story, I felt a tremendous shift in my way of feeling, thinking, accepting and viewing life.
I adopted this verse in my life. WHATEVER the situation I faced I started reciting this verse *"THANK YOU GOD FOR EVERYTHING"*. It helped me to shift my view from what i did not have to what i have in my life.
For instance; if my head pains I THANK GOD that the rest of my body is completely fine and healthy and I notice that the headache does not bother me at all.
In the same manner i started using this verse in my relationships (whether family, friends, neighbours, colleagues ) finance, social life, business and everything with which I can relate. I shared this story with everyone I came in touch with and it brought a great shift in their behaviour too.
This simple verse really had a deep impact on my life, i started feeling how blessed I am, how happy I am, how good life is.
*The purpose of sharing this message is to make all of us aware of how powerful the attitude of gratitude is*. It can reshape our lives.
Lets recite this verse continuously to experience the shift in our life.
So be grateful, and see the change in your attitude.
Be humble, and you will never stumble.

The Night of Power
Why is Laylatul Qadr Important?
Laylatul Qadr, often translated as the Night of Power, or Night of Decree, or Night of Glory falls in one of the last ten nights of the month of Ramadan. This is the night in which God began the revelation of the Quran. Worship done in this single night is equivalent to 84 years—basically, a lifetime—of worship outside this night. It has the potential, when approached with sincerity, to gain a person grand forgiveness and mercy from God. One narration says, “Whoever prays on Laylatul Qadr out of faith and sincerity, shall have all their past sins forgiven”[Bukhari and Muslim].
When Is Laylatul Qadr?
The exact date of this night is not known. The Prophet Muhammad (may the blessings and peace of God be upon him) told us in narrations to seek Laylatul Qadr out in one of the last ten nights in Ramadan, specifically odd nights. This means the 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th, and 29th nights of Ramadan all have a high potential of being Laylatul Qadr. There is a beauty in the date not being known, because it gives the opportunity to a person to engage in extra worship throughout the last days of Ramadan in hopes of catching the right date. If one specific night was known, humans would naturally put forth their entire effort on that one night, and likely slack off on the other nights.
What do Muslims do on Laylatul Qadr?
Today, many Muslims spend these nights in the mosque where there are programs dedicated to foster an extra spiritual environment. Some take off days from work to ensure they can stay up all night without having to worry about their jobs. After the Taraweeh prayers, the imams will give a talk encouraging Muslims to tie their belts and hit the ground running in these final days. It is very possible a lot of people feel burnt out toward the end of the month, but this is the time that matters most! The boost is needed from the scholars of the community to ensure people exit the month on a high note.
The worship done in this night takes on many forms. Extra prayers, recitation of the Quran, heartfelt supplications, and glorifying God all have their due place. In particular, the Prophet (may the blessings and peace of God be upon him) advised Muslims to recite a supplication that translates to, “Oh Allah, truly you are The Pardoner, you love to pardon, so pardon me.” A beautiful aspect about this supplication: Muslims are asking God to do something He already loves and wants to do, forgive!
Just as a child who sees something scary, and then runs to his mother out of fear of that thing, we should in the same way run to God away from punishment. Just as the mother is there for her child with open arms, God too is there to receive us with a renewed faith and focus on Him.
To all the Muslims finishing up this blessed month of Ramadan, may God give you the strength to go out on a high note with true faith and sincerity. May this month be a means for you to spiritually cleanse yourself and come out fresh. May God make it easy for you to continue the good habits you developed in this month for the rest of the year and for the rest of your lives

How to cook Bean soup(Gbegiri)
Ingredients for making gbegiri soup(bean soup)
1 cups Beans (white or brown)
Potash
Onions (2 balls)
Pepper
Palm oil
Seasoning (knorr cube, salt etc)
900g fish/meat – optional
Preparation
Step 1
We start by removing the seed coat; just transfer a cup of beans to a bowl, sprinkle a handful of water and start robbing and squeezing hard, as you progress the outer coat starts wearing off. This is actually the easiest beans de-coating method. Add water, wash, and strain (leaving the white split cotyledons). you should be done with this in about 10 minutes.
Then pour into a pot and start cooking with just water and about a half teaspoon of powdered potash, the potash act as a catalyst, most people use potash to hasten the cooking process while others avoid it for health or personal reasons.
Step 2
Cook for twenty to fifty minutes until it is very soft and ready for mashing. After that use a short strong neat broom to mash it till soft (there is often a broom kept for this purpose, the same that is used for ewedu soup). The reason for this is just to ground the already cooked beans to a seedless soft pudding.
There are different methods to making Yoruba foods, the gbegiri soup is not an exception. Some Yoruba uses a strong spoon and a plastic sifter for this purpose. They achieve the same end by pressing the soft seeds against the sieve with a spoon, it is that simple for most Yoruba foods. Alternatively, use an electric blender! 😀
Set the mashed beans apart in a clean bowl.
Step3
At this point most people just transfer into a pot then add the already cooked meat/fish, onions, seasoning (1 knorr cube), pepper, salt, 100ml palm oil and allow it to steam for 10 minutes then a delicious pot of gbegiri soup is made, or you can follow.
Step 3B
After following step 2 to a T, set your cooking pot on the burner, use about 10 to 15cl of palm oil, allow to heat then add sliced onions, mashed beans, pepper, other seasoning of choice (a cube of knorr or maggi), iru (locust bean), salt to taste, allow to cook for five minutes and you just made a delicious pot of gbegiri soup, one of my favorite Yoruba soup.
You can serve gbegiri with amala, fufu or eba.
Your food is ready.

The Nigerian culture
The **culture of Nigeria** is shaped by Nigeria's multiple ethnic group. The country has 527 languages, seven of them are extinct.Nigeria also has over 1150 dialects and ethnic groups. The six largest ethnic group are the Hausa and Fulani in the North
the Igbo in the southeast
and the Yoruba predominate in the southwest
the Tiv people of North Central Nigeria and the Efik - Ibibio. The Edo people are most frequent in the region
between Yorubaland and Igboland.
Nigeria's other ethnic groups, sometimes called 'minorities', are found throughout the country but especially in the north and the middle belt. The traditionally nomadic Fulani can be found all over West and Central Africa. The Fulani and the Hausa are predominantly Muslim while the Igbo are predominantly Christian and so are the Efik, Ibibio, and Annang people. The Yoruba are equally likely to be either Christian or Muslim. Indigenous religious practices remain important to all of Nigeria's ethnic groups, and frequently these beliefs are blended with Christian beliefs, a practice known as syncretism.

Update on BCH upgrade
***Yesterday, at precisely 9 a.m. ET on May 15, 2020, the Bitcoin Cash network completed another upgrade adding a few new features to the blockchain. The latest upgrade comes with new opcode support, a chain limit extension, and the improved counting of signature operations using the new sigchecks implementation.***
*A Number of Blocks Have Been Mined Under New Consensus Rules*
Every six months, the Bitcoin Cash network upgrades, and they usually take place on May 15, and November 15 every year. BCH supporters all around the world have been monitoring the upgrade, as they do every year, in order to see if everything went smoothly. The upgrade initiated after block 635,258 and the consensus rules went into effect after the next block was mined. The first addition allows for faster re-spending of unconfirmed transactions as developers have increased the chained transaction limit from 25 to 50. If one was to look at the history of mempool chain limiting, they would find that when Satoshi first released bitcoin, he did not include a limit. Bitcoin Unlimited’s chief scientist Peter Rizun discusses the exploration of chain limits in a detailed editorial on the blog read.cash.
Another addition is the opcode, OP_Reversebytes, which reverses the bytes of the top stackitem. In January 2020, Bitcoin Cash developers hosted a video confrence about the Bitcoin Cash Script Roadmap and the opcode OP_Reversebytes. One idea that could leverage OP_Reversebytes is the concept “Mitra,” or the project formerly known as Nimbus that was developed by Tobias Ruck. According to the Ruck, the transaction version could unleash sophisticated smart contract potential on the BCH network. The final feature that improves sigops counting called “Sigchecks” was discussed in the BCH developers meeting. The Sigchecks specifications explain the motivation behind the new implementation if one was to visit the Github repository.
“Since early days, Bitcoin has had a Sigops counting rule for limiting the amount of CPU usage possible in a given transaction or block, based on the principle that signature verifications are by far the most CPU-intense operations,” the specification detail. “The essential idea of Sigchecks is to perform counting solely in the spending transaction, and count actual executed signature check operations.”
Overall the BCH community is pleased with the upgrade change and many supporters are discussing future improvements like Avalanche, UTXO commitments, Re-activating the following opcodes; OP_Mul, OP_Lshift, OP_Rshift, and OP_Invert, and concepts like Bobtail. Moreover, the community has been celebrating and discussing the upgrade on May 15 and future development as well.
The Yoruba's and their culture
People and culture
The Yoruba people remain as one of the largest ethnic groups in Nigeria and in Africa as a whole. They constitute about 35% of Nigeria's population and around 40 million individuals in and around West Africa. Although they are predominantly
Christian or Muslim, a significant minority still follow their history of traditional practices and beliefs.
Most of the Yoruba people take part in farm work. The men grow foods such as corn, yams, cocoyams, nuts, and cocoa, the last of which is a major cash crop. Men are also often traders and craftsmen as well.
Women do less work on the farms, but are important traders. Their status traditionally depends on that of their husbands.
Women of rank, such as princesses and chiefs, are the exception to this however; their status has little to do with that of whomever they're married to.
The people practice a number of cultural skills that are useful in everyday life like pottery,
beadwork, weaving, metalwork, and mask making. The Yoruba were and are still known for their sculptors, beautiful clothing designs and patterns, and their food. Some of these foods included *moin-moin* ( steamed bean pudding), *ila asepo* (okra soup), and *amala* (yam flour). The ethnic group also holds musical and cultural festivals that are world famous e.g
Osun Oshogbo festival and lot more.
Thanks for reading and more to come.

The creation of Mankind
*The first stage* in the creation of man is from the lowly life-germ in the darkness of the mother's womb.
*The second stage* is his fashioning in a just form and with appropriate limbs in an astonishing regular formation. Eyes, ears, heart, blood vessels, and other organs of the body are created so surprisingly that if man thinks about their structures and regularities and understands Allah's Beneficence to him, each of them will be illustrated as a world of knowledge and power that Allah granted man, because of His Favor and Graciousness.
_These are the Divine gifts that natural scientists have been thinking over, working on, and writing about for thousands of years, but they are still at the threshold._
*The third stage* is proportioning man and adjusting his faculties as well as his organs, and then, their internal coordination's and relations with each other.
The parts of man's body are created mainly symmetrically: hands, feet, eyes, ears, some bones, vessels and muscles are in pairs on both sides of the body.
Besides, different organs and limbs cooperate with each other to accomplish their functions, for instance, the respiratory system complements the circulatory system and vice versa. In swallowing a little piece of food, teeth, tongue, salivary glands, and muscles, around the mouth and throat, work together until the morsel enters the digestive system.
Henceforth, too, many other coordinations occur until the food is digested and absorbed, and subsequently, the required nutrition and vitality is supplied.
Finally, *the formation and constitution of man in comparison with other living creatures comes forth.* Comparing him with them, he has well-balanced features, good character and an awakened nature, which is alert and capable of accepting any training and knowledge.
The Giant Dog
The term giant dog breeds refers to several breeds of dogs that are larger compared to other breeds of dogs which are relatively smaller in their full adult sizes. The group has no universal weight or height specification, but many experts tend to agree that giant breeds are heavier than 50 kilograms.
They are generally stronger than other breeds and most of them posses working abilities. Giant dog breeds usually are calm, and they tend to make great family dogs. They are rarely intimidated by other people due to their towering size, and they adapt quickly to meeting family members, children, or friends of their owners. However, these dogs are very protective of their owners when they sense any threat towards them.
Challenges
Caring for larger breeds of dogs is expensive since their consumption is higher than that of smaller dogs. They may also need specialty diets sometimes for weight and joint management. Besides spending more on food, owners of larger breeds have to spend more on larger beds, toys, and collars as well as kennelling and grooming. When compared to smaller breeds, giant breeds suffer more health-related setbacks such as joint problems like arthritis and hip dysplasia. They are also more prone to diseases of the bones such as osteosarcoma and cartilage diseases. Due to the higher mass and volume of giant dog breeds, their treatment charges are higher because the cost of pharmaceuticals and aesthetics is determined by the weight of the dog. Also, giant breeds have a shorter lifespan compared to smaller breeds.
