I wonder if I would regret not to travel this year somewhere in the future. Either to Japan or the Philippines... Or maybe both... Even if I would get fired within my trial period I could just drive over to Switzerland or Austria and make a low budget vacation in the Alps. My main concern is if a vacation abroad would be a good investment into myself regarding my self-development and experience in life. My second concern is if I should fly to Japan while my Japanese skills are on the lowest point because I recently don't have much time to study.

Don't limit your self, go travel and discover the world. My country is beautiful but Japan also amazed me. I want to go back there when I have a chance. It's one of my favorite destination😊
It will be a bit expensive. For Japan I have to spend at least 5000$ and for the Philippines 3000$ or so. I want to make a frugal decision when it comes to these amounts. So I need to evaluate if it would be worth it... I would have to spend my whole bonus salary for the trip. I never really left Germany. I was in Austria and Switzerland but that's it...
You can never go wrong with using English tho! Go and try it! For sure you'll think of that thought again in the future. As they always say, 'we only regret the chances we didn't take.'
But I think for Japan English could be a problem in rural areas. I want Japan to be the best experience and I feel I need to be able to communicate a bit in Japanese for that... 🤔 Regarding the Philippines I don't think English would be a big problem judging from the things I have heared... Btw. I'm really happy to see you here again! 😁
