Germany currently has many agreements for visa free travel with other countries. And as a junior developer the company is giving me 30 paid holidays a year which my boss allowes me to take rather flexibly... I could wake up feeling like visiting Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan or some other place far away and just take a cheap last minute flight without preparation. If I have unplanned paid holidays left and there isn't any project deadline, my boss most likely is okay with that. I wonder if a drastical change of my environment would help during times when things are really tough mentally.
