My mom will be all alone on Christmas eve. It's tradition that the whole family is visiting my grandparents (my dads parents) on Christmas eve so my sister and I will be there. My mom doesn't have parents anymore. She will be in her flat celebrating alone. She said she will be fine but I know for sure that she will cry. To be honest I'm tired of Christmas. I wish to be able to skip this day. I feel like I'm turning into the Grinch. 😬

Hi, rektflip! It's great to see you here on noise app! 👼 I don't mean to meddle but perhaps, you could do some sort of e-communication on Christmas (wherein your mom could see you and hear your voice) so that she won't feel alone at all. Where I live, those who have family members/parents working abroad do this particularly during every special occasions. It's probably not enough but seeing and hearing the voice of our loved ones is beyond relief.
But the main reason why my mom won't come with us to visit my grandparents is because my parents divorce. That's why she won't celebrate Christmas with my dads parents anymore... 😔
Aww, I see. That's heartrending to know. You know, you are so tough and amazing for coming this far despite such life event. Sending virtual hug and a pat on the back! 👼 I just thought your mom would feel less lonely once she gets to see you and hear your voice.
Thank you... 🤧 But I can't call my mom while sitting together with my dads family at the table...
That's sad. But if there's a chance, I think that your mom would be really happy knowing you are there for her no matter what. Anyway, kindly send my heartfelt regard to your mom. Such a strong woman. 🤍
Yes... But I will be there on the next day to celebrate with her.
