ESPAÑOL: (for English, see below) Hola! Soy una ilustradora y dibujante de manga (mangaka). Mi nick name es Reenave, pero pueden llamarme sólo Reena. Soy amante de los gatos, juegos de video, manga, anime, el j-rock y visual kei y por supuesto de la cultura Japonesa! Tengo 11 años de experiencia como ilustradora profesional. Soy fan del juego de video Legacy of Kain, Soul Reaver. Actualmente estoy muy activa en el fandom de Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titans) y soy fan de la banda de J-Rock Versailles, por lo que hago mucho fanart de estos temas. A través de este blog, quisiera compartir mis experiencias como ilustradora y ayudar en lo posible, a quienes desean iniciarse tanto en el mundo de la ilustración como del manga y no saben cómo empezar. Y ya que este es un post introductorio, lo haré corto y dejaré una ilustración realizada de uno de mis guitarristas japoneses preferidos, TERU. Él no sólamente es guitarrista, sino que es un ilustrador increíble y es una de mis fuentes de inspiración. I am a lover of cats, video games, manga, anime, j-rock and visual kei and of course Japanese culture! I have 11 years of experience as a professional illustrator. I'm a fan of the Legacy of Kain video game, Soul Reaver. I am currently very active in the Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titans) fandom and I am a fan of the J-Rock band Versailles, so I do a lot of fanart of these themes. Through this blog, I would like to share my experiences as an illustrator and help as much as possible, those who want to start both in the world of illustration and manga and do not know how to start. And since this is an introductory post, I'll keep it short and leave an illustration of one of my favorite Japanese guitarists, TERU. lovely. my fave is sailormoon and one piece.
I watched just two seasons of Sailor Moon. Shoujo is not my favorite type of manga xD I´ve not watched One Piece yet but it is in my list of anime i want to watch :D
sailormoon i seen all episodes. except the latest one, the 20th anniversary. i like it because of the costumes hehe. one piece, havent finished yet. last time i saw was they where in the place of the snake sisters.
One Piece is like a never ending story! Poor mangaka, he must be in despair to end it soon! xDDD
wow. so until now its still on going. so the characters grew old now. been many years. so lufie wasnt a teenager anymore hahaha
Oh! That is similar to Dragon Ball where the story is all the journey of the growing of Goku as a warrior ^^
yes. i dont like the ending of it too. after shenrone (the dragon) took him, he never get to see his family again. he only shows up when his great grand children join that yearly martial arts contest.
I read in some place thatAkira Toriyama would not take DBGT as cannon and no one of the events that happened there would be considered, so that is why he did the new series :0

38 yrs old now. since a kid he likes to draw too. most of the time from anime characters

no. he just sometimes sells art drawings during comic cons
Comic cons are great experience for sell art directly to the public. I wish he can continue doing it for all the time he feels that makes him happy! Drawings is something that comes from the soul and heart!
yes. but the events now is cancelled due to pandemic. so no extra income for him
Yeah, that is very hard to handle and we don´t know yet when the things will be normal again. Has he tried to sell his work in some print on demand platform, like Redbubble or Teepublic?
yes he is selling it online. but worst his former website got hack. and now they return to zero and now starting all over again
Oh! wow! That is very sad. Well, at least he can begin to do things and maybe create a better strategy for his sells! There is always a good opportunity behind something that apparently is bad :)
yes. they are looking forward for the next comic con next year. hope will not get cancelled again
Let´s hope he can return to his normal activity in those events. I expect next year things can return to normal slowly ^^

Excelente presentación Reena. Me ha gustado. Eres una mujer que me intriga personalmente y me llamas mucho la atención (en sentido positivo, claro). Ahora recuerdo algo que aprendí en el liceo (bachillerato) de Horacio Quiroga, escritor de cuentos cortos; ''Ama tu arte como amas a tu novia, dándole todo tu corazón''. Tú amas la ilustración y el manga, yo amo las ciencias y la criptografía; ambos somos eternos amantes utópicos. Estaba dejando este post para leerlo en un momento oportuno. Me hace sentir que estoy en mi propio mundo y que puedo contar todas las historias que me gustaría compartir sólo con dibujarlo porque a veces es muy difícil encontrar las palabras correctas para describir algo. ^^

Hola @lolapop! Muchas gracias! Sí, soy una cat lover! Ahorita tengo 5, porque adopté a una gatita y me vino con una sorpresa, cual bombón relleno: 4 hermosos gatitos que me tienen vuelta loca pero yo feliz de tenerlos en mi vida! Yo no los escogí, ellos me eligieron! ♥
oh hola, antes no me gustaban los gatos pero cuando estas dos monadas entraron en nuestra casa mi familia se enamoró al instante de ellos, son unos gatos callejeros que nos eligen para tenerlos y estamos encantados de darles amor a cambio, por mi parte podría decir que ambos me dan un sentido de dirección. Que tengan un maravilloso día.
Awww! Qué belleza!! Son hermosos! Es así! Ellos son los que eligen adoptarnos, no nosotros a ellos como pensamos xD. Qué bueno que pueden disfrutar de esa hermosa compañía. Los gatos son más nobles y fieles de lo que la gente puede creer. Feliz día!

Guao esta genial, tiene demasiados detalles que serian imposible que yo los hiciera en cualquier vida 🤣🤣, te felicito por ti gran experiencia, tienes uno de los trabajos más envidiados además de te gustan muchas cosas que a mí, me gustan los gatos, el anime, manga, los juegos de video (que ya no juego) y fanático de shingeki no kiojin, ayer quede con la boca abierta por el capitulo estreno de la segunda parte de la temporada final.

Que bueno, me gustaría ver un fanart de Mikasa y Levy y si, eso comente ayer, que es una lastima que tenga que desear que pase la semana rápido para ver el próximo capitulo.

Eso es verdad, por lo menos Shingeki no defrauda nunca, todos los capítulos tienen emoción.
Yo tengo curiosidad por ver cómo resolverán algunas escenas los animadores. Lo que viene es bien complejo!!
