Christian leadership. Task of leadership What is the fundamental responsibility of a leader?.what must spiritual leaders do to fulfil their Mission?. At this point we need a clear understanding of the meaning of leadership, particularly spiritual leadership. How is leadership suitable for a ministry, setting, defined?. God has given believers a special quality to leader others. Leadership is characterized and described in a variety of ways by different authors, each writing a certain organizational frame work. Interpersonal influence exercised in a situation and directed through the communication process, towards the attainment of a special goal or goals. A leader behavioural skill includes the ability to help others achieve their potential as individuals and team members. The process of persuasion and example by which an individual or leadership team induces a group to take action, that is in accord with the leader's purposes or shared purposes of all. Each definition contains some Interpersonal influence exercised in a situation and directed through the communication, process of toward the attainment of a special goal or goals. The process of persuasion and example by which an individual or leadership team induces a group to take action that is in accord with the leader's purposes or shared purposes of all. Each definitions contains some insight, yet each seem to fall short income respect, especially when we consider spiritual leadership in the church. Spiritual leadership is the development of relationships with people of a Christian institution or body in such a way that individuals and the group are enabled to formulate and achieve biblically compatible goals that meet real needs. By their ethnical influence, spiritual, leaders serve to motivate and enable others to achieve that otherwise would never be achieved. Leadership and management. We should distinguish between leadership and management, although sometimes the difference are pushed too far and become continued. There is overlap between leadership and management, and the dissimilarities are not always sharply defined. A good leader must have good management skills, and good managers usually have some leadership qualities. It is difficult to imagine a good manager who not a leader and vice versa. Qualities of good leaders *Vision: A leader has greater vision than a manager. Leaders think long term, beyond the day to day operations, beyond the immediate horizons that often limit the vision of managers and followers. *Renewal: leaders are always interested in the revision of process and structure, with eye towards changing outmoded methods, defining new goals, tapping new resources, motivating or enlisting personnel and invigorating the group and it individuals. Leaders strategies. What do leaders do in the exercise of spiritual enablement? By what ethnical and biblical compatible methodology do they operate so that leaders and followers raise another to higher level of spiritual achievement and realization? What spiritual responsibilities do leaders accept in carrying out their unique influence in the church? These fundamental activities in the leader's table of spiritual enablement. *Leaders listen *Leaders build team *Leaders inspire *Leaders focus on values *Leaders balance priority.

Stages of disloyalty. Detecting disloyalty. Disloyalty does not happen over night. Becoming disloyal is a process , most people are unaware of the fact that they are becoming. Many leaders don't notice disloyalty among their sheep. There are two reason I think you should know the stages of disloyalty : * it will help you to identify and kill any such tendency within you. *It will help you to know and identify disloyalty in any person you work with. Stages of disloyalty. First stage: the independent spirit. This stage is so subtle that most people don't recognize it to be disloyalty. When a person is belonging or work in a company, group or organization develops a independent behavior, he sort to become autonomous within the setup. The rules of the organization no longer control him. As a Christian we need to watch out for deacons and leader who have independent spirits. Leaders may call for several meeting, but a person with an independent spirit decides to attend only those he feel are important. Second stage:offence. The second stage of disloyalty is offence. Jesus said," and they shall be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another (mattew 24:10). From this scripture you can see that people begin to betray and hate one another when they are offended. The Bible says folks will betray you when they are offended. I have always been wary of wounded people because I know that they can turn against me. The spirit of offence opens the door to the spirit of treachery. Dear reader, look around you and observe those who have been wounded by one event or another. If these people are not genuinely overcome their hurts, hear the world of the spirit today. They are potential seperatists and they can easily become your enemies. Third stage: passitivity. After being offended by one thing or the other people become passive. When a person is in the passive stage of disloyalty, he doesn't involve himself in much. He sits and watches unconcerned and uninvolved. The passitivity is dangerous bacause you are more into the critical stage of disloyalty. Fourth stage : critical stage. A disloyal person is not passive forever; he progress into the next step of being critical. This is the stage of noticing and magnifying faults. In church , he finds faults and notices all the deficiencies of the surroundings. Miriam had become critical of Moses. She had follow his leadership all the way out of Egypt, but now she began to see his fault and humaness. And she spoke about his marital problem. Fifth stage : the political stage. When a person becomes political, he tries to involve others in the ideas and philosophies. Politicians operates on the power of people's opinions. Many politicians can't tell the truth because they want to please people. What people think and say is what concerns them the most. When a person is becoming disloyal he tries to involve other people in his treacherous ideas. He makes people think their is a particular problem that must be addressed or solved. This is what exactly Absalom did. Sixth stage : deception. One thing that i am sure about is that people who rebel are grossly deceived. If they were not deceived they wouldn't do some of the things they did. Most people who have rebelled have ended up in destruction. Seventh stage: open rebellion. This is the stage where deceived insurrectionists fight openly against authority. This open fight comes about because of the confidence the rebel develops over the months and years. Eighth stage : execution. It is a known fact that the rebel of the Bible didn't end well. A curse is a solem invocation of divine wrath on a person which results in evil or harm. Look closely at the rebels of the Bible and decide for yourself whether a disloyal person is blessed or cursed. Feel free to speak on minds on the comment box. Doctrine of God the son Jesus the saviour of the and son of God. Romans(1:2-9): he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scripture. I am trying here to prevent anyone saying the foolishi thing that people often say about him:" I am ready to accept Jesus as the great moral teacher, but I don't accept him as God,that is one thing we must not say. A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. Jesus of nazereth. In mattew and Luke we find account of the birth of jesus. Both point out that Jesus was born of a virgin by the name of Mary in the town of Bethlehem (mattew 1: 18;2:12) 1:18: now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise. When as his mother Mary was espoused to joseph, before they came together, she was found with the child of the holy ghost. (Luke 1:26-27); attempt to find allusions to the virgin birth in Galatians 4:4 and John 8:41 are quite forced. Attempt to explain these accounts are parrellels in the Greek literature and above all on the Jewish nature of these account. The ministry of Jesus began with his baptism by John ( mark 1:1-15); (acts 1:21) and his temptations by Satan. His ministry involved the selection of twelve disciples (mark 3:13-19) , which symbolised the regathering of the twelve tribes of isreal; the preaching of the need of repentance (1:15), and the arrival of the kingdom of God in this ministry (like 11:20); the offer of salvation to the outcast of society ( mark 2:15-17; Luke 15;19:10), the healing of the sick and demon possessed ( which is referred to in the Jewish tamuld; and his return to redirect the kingdom of isreal to God. Sources of information about Jesus Christ. Non christian source can be divided into two groups : pagan and jewish. Both are limited in their value. The Christ of faith. The unique self understanding of Jesus can be ascertained by two means the implicit christology revealed by titles he chose to describe himself. Implicit christology: Jesus during his ministry acted as one who possed a unique power and authority. He assumed for himself the prerogative of cleansing the temple (Mark 11:12-33), of bring the outcasts into the kingdom of God and having authority of divine authority to forgive sins (mark 2:5-7). Jesus also as talked as one who possessed authority greater than that of the old testament (mattew 5:31-32)than Abraham, jacob and the temple. He claimed to be the Lord of the Sabbath , he even claimed that the destiny of all people depends on how they respond to him. Explicitly christology: along with the implicit christology of his behaviors Jesus also made certain christological claims by means of the various titles he used for himself. Jesus the son of God, his doctrines. Jesus in the gospel: his humanity was taken for granted in the synoptic gospels, as if it could not occur to anyone to question it.we see him lying in the cradle, growing, learning, subject to hunger, anxiety, doubt, disappointment, surprise and finally to death and burial. Jesus as the messiah: his true significance can be understood only when his relationship to the people in those midst he was born was clear. In the event set in motion in his in the events set on motion in his earthly career, God's purpose and covenants with isreal is fulfilled. He is the one who comes to do what neither people of old testament nor their anointed representative - the prophets, priest and king could do. Living like christ. Christ is a role model to Christians. Even though we was persecute he make sure that he accomplished the work that is father sent him. Are you living like christ?. Christian education Mattew 28:20; teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you and lo I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Many churches have a staff or volunteer position with the title Christian education, director or minister of Christian education. And because this often focused ( seemingly so) on Sunday school, particularly the teaching of children, it may be customary to think of Christian education as primarily concerned with Bible stories and children's program. Defining Christian education Is there a difference between religious education and christian education ? Is Christian education only for Christians? How is Christian education different from secular education ? What makes Christian education ? What is the purpose of Christian education? How are goals and value determined? What is the settings for Christian education? What specifically is Christian education? As a definition for Christian education is developed, these question must be addressed, after the question has been addressed kindly comment. Religious education or Christian education. For decades the word religious education was used because it was broad and covered various perspectives. It was not limited to Protestants or evagelicals but include the Roman Catholics and jews. At one time there was distinction between religious education and christian education that was not tied to inclusive problem. Christian education was defined as anything that dealt with schools such as Christian day schools and school on the mission field. Religious education was anything that involves the local church ministry such as Sunday school, leadership development and family life education. Though some may still use this distinction it is not longer accepted all over the world. The scope of Christian education. For whom is Christian education designed? Taken literally it means education for Christians, but in reality it is far more than it scope. It includes preconversion, conversion, post conversion learning experience. People come to faith in Christ through the faithful teaching of God's word and spiritual and extraordinary power of the holy Spirit, after conversion, the leaner moves into discipleship stage and is to develop and grow as a believer. This is Christian education in action; not one time learning experience but a lifetime dedicated to learning more about God and his world. It includes the application of truth in the life of the learner so that it can be passed on to others in service and ministry. Christian education is designed to bring people to faith, to develop people in their faith, and to lead people to minister to others through the ministry of the church. The purpose of Christian education. The purpose of Christians education is to bring people to a saving faith in Jesus Christ, to aims train them in a life of discipleship, and to equip them for Christian service in the world today. It is to develop in believers a biblical world view that will assist them in making significant decisions from a Christian perspective. It is helping believes to think wisely and christianly. About all areas of life so they can impact society with the pure word of gospel. In essence, it is the development of Christian world view. The purpose, goals aim and values of Christian education re derived from a biblically based theological foundation, quite different from the religious education approach. Worship, evagelism discipleship, fellowship, and service are all drawn from the scripture and are included in any purpose and value statement for Christian education, goals are developed from these key functions of the church, and effective Christian education can be measured based upon the accomplishment of these important functions. The context of Christian education. The primary setting for Christian education is the church. Actually, the churches educational ministry is probably the largest educational endeavour in the world. Considering the youngest child through the oldest adult, the numbers involved in some form of Christian education ministry through the church are significant. Christian education also take place outside the wall of the church, through Christian schools, Bible study, camps, parachurch organization and other kind of various ministries. It is important to note that Christian education is not limited to just to one kind of organization or ministry and is found outside the church in many different venues. Christian education, the is more than merely teaching christians. It is all above and much more. Comment on the post and feel free to share your opinion about Christian education.

Signs of disloyalty. Learning to recognise the signs of disloyalty, leaders in the church. I learned some time ago that leaders often don't know their flock as they rule them. If you are a leader, so your flock will always pretend to you. They will conceal their shortcomings. WHAT IS A DEACON The Greek word" DIAKONIA" means "SERVANT" therefore, deacon is one of those who serve the church. The church at Phillip had deacons and bishop (phillipians 1:1); "The greatest and highest honour of the apostle and that of the most enminent minister is to be servants of God, not master of the churches, but servants of christ." Paul the servant of Christ gave the qualifications of the deacons (1Timothy 3:8-3) *They must be grave (dignified or worthy of respect), Dignity is fitting for all Christians, but especially those who are told to hold office in the church *Not doubled-tongued : a double tongue comes from a insincere heart ; flatterers and slanderers are insincere. *No give to much wine: they don't give and waste time on wine they preserve their time for God. Wine opens door to many temptations. Not greed and filthy : this would especially be bad deacons who were entrusted with the church money. Disloyalty don't give us clear conscience. If we keep a clear conscience, our souls will be preserved in the deep truths of Faith. The soundness of the candidates judgement their zeal for christ, and the blamelessness of their way of life must be tested. Their wives must also have good character. All who are related to ministers or leaders must redouble their concern to live as it is appropriate to the gospel of Christ. so that the ministry may not come into disrepute just as Paul said before the overseers, so he said of the deacons, they must be husband of one wife, they must rule their children and their own houses well the families of deacons should be examples to other families. HOW DISLOYALTY START. Every good leader must not subject himself to men. Neither should he trust what people say till he confirms whether it is true or not. Please remember that when Jesus entered Jerusalem on palm Sunday he was hailed and praised. In a certain sense you must learn to take everything with a pinch of salt. In another part of the Bible Jesus own brother suggested that he go public with his ministry. As you can see leaders are usually subjected to hypocritical advice and lying praises: this is the reason why every good leaders must learn about what I call the "sign of disloyalty."there are signs that people exhibit when they are disloyal. *Leader who disappoint you in time of pressure and crisis: Notice that leaders who is absent in church when the church is going through difficult period. Watch for people like that . It is a fact that in time of pressure you see the true character of a person. Act 15:38;he thought not good to take him with them since john Mark had departed from them from pamphylia and had not gone with them to work. He had deserted them just as they were about to engage in the work of Christ. But Paul thought it was not right that he be honored in this way, at least not until he had tested for a longer period. If someone decieve me once, it is their fault. But if someone decieve me twice it is my fault for trusting them. *Leaders who disappoint you when they are under pressure: It is a thing of shame that certain people just don't come to church or participate when they are experiencing challenges, financial problem, emotional challenges. I am often under pressure from several quarters (looking after the cathedral, dealing with situations concerning branches, pastors, lands, and properties, personnel, salaries, emotions, letter, wages, gsm, pressure of travelling and family amidst all of this I have to remain focused and perform all my duties.
