An Agricultural Activities Here In Our Town
The town of Manticao, Misamis Oriental have many different kinds of agricultural plants. Most of the people who lived here in our town are Farmers and they plant many different kinds of crops, vegetables and fruits. For Today's blog, I would like to share the agricultural activities today. In Barangay Poblacion, they conducted of buy and sell activities of vegetables and fruits. The price of the vegetables and fruits is less compare to the supermarket. Many people will loves to buy because of less prizes.
One of the fruits they sell is this delicious and sweet pineapples. Each of this will costs up to 65 per kilo if we buy to the supermarket but here it only costs 35 per kilo. According to the owner of this pineapple fruits, this is a kind of Hawaiian so it means that there are no pointed edges of its leaves compare in common pineapples. Aside of that, the fruits is very big and good for exportation. Pineapples is good for adding in the dish we cook just like Calderita. This is also good for juice making and sometimes, I did this by extracting of juices.
**An Eggplant Vegetables**
Next is this big eggplants, according to the owner of this vegetables, instead of using synthetic fertilizer, they only used organic fertilizer just like animal Manure. I really amazed of the output of using organic fertilizer. If we buy this in the supermarket, it costs up to 50 Pesos per kilo. But here it only costs 25 pesos per kilo. It is very worth to all residents because of less prizes.
There are lots of dishes can make out of this vegetables, some of this are stew, fish soup, fried eggplant and "Tortang talong" a kind of dish added with eggs and fried. This is also good for exportation activities and in fact, they decided to travel it to Cagayan De Oro city.
**A Cow Ranch**
There are also local farmers who raised cows just like this one. This is located in Barangay Pagawan, Manticao Misamis Oriental. The cow raisers wants to have milk shop on which they will sell cows milk. Almost 30 cows are here and the place is really perfect for cow raising. I am very amazed of the place I went particularly here in the cow ranch. It is abundantly with grass and the cows are having fun eating with grass. Because it is surrounded with fence, the owner did not tied all his cows and they let them walking around.
**Cayenne**
We called this one "Siling Espada" or "Cayene" for short. This is not really actually very spicy one but it is also good for adding it in the dishes. This is very in demand here in the supermarket and most buyers are eatery or restaurant owners. There are many kinds of chilli can be found in here. Cayenne costs will reach up to 25 Pesos per kilo only and it grows everywhere as long as the soil is very fertile. This is perfect for adding in soysauce and fish stew.
This sack of eggplant vegetables will be traveled to Cagayan De Oro City. This is one of good business and family source of income. The owner of this vegetables is very happy that all of his vegetables are sold out. It will have a long travel on this vegetables. Truly, Farmers have a great contributions to our societies so we can have food to eat 3x a day.
**Bitter Gourd Vegetables**
Bitter gourd is perfect for sauting method. Adding scrambled eggs is also perfect for this kind of vegetables. Well, there are some people who don't like this kind of vegetables because of its bitter taste. But I really like to eat bitter gourd or "Ampalaya" in Local term. It costs 35 Pesos Per kilo and there are many people wants buy. According to them they can save more money because of its less prizes.
*This is very helpful especially for those people who can't afford to buy expensive prices of vegetables in the supermarket. I really amazed of the Agricultural activities and truly if we keep ourselves very productive, we can gain a good result and to become successful someday*.
Nature Travel, One Of My Hobbies
Yesterday, I decided to take a travel in one of the beautiful, peaceful and relaxing place here in our town of Manticao, Misamis Oriental. I really love to take a Nature travel and it keeps me more relaxing and peaceful. Manticao, Misamis Oriental consists of many different kinds of fascinating places. There are lots of big trees and wildplants can be located. Having a beautiful surroundings is very important because it gives to us a great place to live.
In the place I went, there are lots of many big fruit trees just like Manggoes. This is one of our Primary source of income here. Every Month of September, we sprayed it to bare more fruits and sell to the supermarket or transporting to far away places. It is good to be productive always because we can really gain more good results by harvesting the fruits, and it can help also in terms of Family needs.
This area is perfect spots for building a rest house or a waitingshed. As I asked the owner of this place, they said that it is also their plan, to build a waiting shed so that visitors can rest for a moment. It is also very windy here that is why it is already expected to become cool. Near at this area is the coconut plants section. I was very amazed of the area I went because it is very productive. There are lots of coconut trees and banana plants can be seen.
This are their primary source of income, the soil is also very fertile and it is very perfect to plants. There are also lots of hard trees can be seen here, and they don't want to cut because it gives a shady and cool areas.
This is what we called, Native Tugas tree. This is perfect for furniture and other purposes. This is one of the hardest tree can found here in the Philippines next to Narra tree. One of the Government Agencies wants all residents to plant more of this so that it can help to prevent the place of being eroded. There are lots of kind regarding with trees and it can only be seen near in the mountainous areas.
Tugas tree can lived at about 100 years and it can grow into very big tree. By cutting this tree use for furniture and houses, it needs to have a cutting permit in the Barangay hall. This is one of the rarest tree here in our Country.
I was very amazed of this banana plants bares more fruits. According to the owner, the Government Agencies gave this plant. After many months has passed, it bares more and good fruits and they are very happy to see it. They decided to plant more and more banana plants so that they will sell more banana fruits to the supermarket.
Having a productive days always can be really gain good results, and this is very important in our everyday lives.
This Food Or That Food Entry

Each one of us loves to eat our favorite foods and dessert. Foods can gives us energy that needs to our body, but not all of it. We admit that there are also foods that can gives us a bad effect if we don't do balance diet. I would like to share my participation regarding with the post of @coolmidwestguy and this make me interesting to join and share my likes about foods.
Regular or seedless Watermelon?
I prefer regular watermelon. Here in our country particularly here in our town, we love to eat those full of seeds fruits just like watermelon. Why? Because after we eat, we will plant the seeds to our garden and this is very wise for me to do it, hoping that it will grow and bare more fruits .
Dark, Milk, Or White Chocolate?
Well for me, I choose Milk. Since when I was a little girl, I really loved to drink milk. Sometimes I put it in the rice before I am going to it. We all know that milk contains many different kinds of minerals and nutrients that needs to our body and aside of that, it is also good for children and adults.
Salt or Pepper?
Everytime when we cook our favorite food, we always add salt to it. This is one of the primary ingredients if we cook Different kinds of foods. The only thing we do is to add at the exact right amount of salt so that it can avoid of getting salty.
Steamed or Fried Rice?
Fried rice is also one of my favorite food to eat, in fact I always cook it. Adding with fried eggs in the fried rice is even more delicious. Last day, I decided to cook fried rice for breakfast and even my family would love to eat fried rice.
Cake or Pie?
I love cakes, we all know that cakes is one of the center of attraction when there is a special occasions just like Birthdays, Baptism and Anniversaries. For me, I love cakes specially if there is a lot of icing on it. Sometimes I ate in the morning, Lunch time and Afternoon but a little piece of it only.
Pork or Beef?
Pork is good for different kinds if dish just like Calderita and other kinds of dishes. Everytime when there is an occasions, we preferred to buy a Kilos of Pork in the supermarket and cook it for our visitors.
Chicken or Turkey?
Here in our town, chicken is very popular. We raised more chickens so that we can be abled to do business just like egg selling or selling chickens to the supermarkets every sunday. Sometimes we also cook dish out of chicken and it is also very delicious.
Onion Rings or French Fries?
Onion Rings is not really expensive unlike french fries . It is also my favorite snacks and everytime I get bored, I will buy onion rings and eat it as for my snacks. Onion rings is very popular here in our place and everybody loves to eat it especially the children.
Smoothie, Malt or Shake?
Shake is better for me. Sometimes when I went to the supermarket to buy manggoe shake. It can relieve the heat comes from the sun and very delicious.
Jello or Pudding?
Pudding is my favorite to choose. It contains a lot of milk on it and milk is my favorite. I always went to the refrigerator to taste a little bit of puddings.
After thoughts:
"I really love to eat the foods I choosed in my article. We have lots of food choices we can make according to our likes and this will for us to reward of ourselves".

Greetings everyone. This is my first time to make a post and join Read.cash platform, and as for that I really thanked @jb123 for introducing this platform. I also love traveling. One of the best pictures I have, was this lighting of christmas lights last December. This was located here in our Town and it was very enjoyable and have a lot of fun time together with friends and families. Traveling can keep me more relaxing and enjoyable. Since when I was a a little, I already love traveling in the Town or nieghboring places.
