We're starting one more experiment: upvotes and downvotes.
Previously it was only possible to upvote with Bitcoin Cash (so, tip the author). However, there are a few problems with that - first, you need to have some money to encourage the author. Second, there is no way to discourage bad/spammy articles.
So, many good articles were left on the sidelines (in the "new" section), because even people who noticed something didn't have the means to upvote the article with money.
Besides, there was one more thing that was missing - a possibility to customize the homepage for you, because we didn't know what you like and what you don't like. Now you have a chance to show it and we have the chance to use it (though currently we don't personalize the homepage).
The rules for the "hot" section (aka the main page) have also changed today - it's also now possible to get there by having "+2" in your upvote score, instead of having positive tip amount.
