Ways To Improve Emotional Intelligence You know that feeling when you feel this sudden rush of gratitude, or a case of elevated self-esteem or confidence? You are experiencing moments of emotional intelligence. Why should you care about emotional intelligence? Well, many people say that it plays a huge part in life satisfaction and personal flourishing. Emotional intelligence can help you land your dream job and can help governments to come up with better social programs that would improve society. Emotional intelligence directly influences your behaviors, thoughts and feelings in order to better manage others. It is through self-awareness that one can develop long-term, sustainable happiness, relationships and careers. This is not just about your ability to identify and show your emotions in a healthy way but also about all the skills you have, such as patience and empathy that contribute to a robust emotional intelligence. Self-compassion will also be helpful in these cases? By accepting ourselves and being kind to our thoughts and emotions even when they are negative or unpleasant - we will be more likely to stay motivated on the quest of growth. One of the best ways to improve emotional intelligence is by practicing gratitude, by truly feeling and understanding that you already have everything you need. There are many exercises that can be done here. One of them is writing down 5 things to be grateful for every day. *Improving the quality and depth of your relationships with people, practicing respect and being honest with yourself will also make all the difference for your emotional intelligence!* Emotional intelligence is your understanding of a mix of five basic emotions - each with its own vocabulary - which are acceptance, contempt, disgust, indifference and joy. **The simplest way to improve emotional intelligence is to explore and try to understand these emotions better.** There's this funny thing called the "Unseen Peanut Butter Jar" that helps us connect emotionally with the people close by - we first ask them about a hidden jar under their desk for ten seconds. Internalizing this brief moment-by-moment exploration will help foster lasting empathy and sympathy for others. Emotional intelligence taps into one's ability to identify what they are feeling. It can be as simple as being able to notice that you feel angry, sad or in control of a situation. Emotional intelligence then allows that person to understand the other person’s feelings and successfully provide the needed care and empathy. Emotional intelligence (EI) is an individual’s or group’s ability to recognize and analyze various emotional cues that they experience, as well as the ability to effectively distinguish between these experiences. Theoretically, it allows the recipient to have a better understanding of themselves and those around them. 🔷

Into The World of Sleep I was in my high school days. I was with my friend inside the campus. A guy went near me and held my left hand checking on my wrist watch. It was like the guy was confirming something. The guy was with another guy who appeared to be a serious looking person then they invited me to go with them inside their car to ask a few questions about the watch. My friend goes with me and as we enter the car, as though a cab, there were other guys inside and looked serious and kind of intimidating. Nevertheless they welcomed us and offered a seat. The group was like a high profile brotherhood. Then they asked me how the wrist watch came into my possession. The watch was rounded with a leather strap. It was an analog watch with white display and had some weight. I can’t tell them how I got the watch because I don’t remember when and where I found it. However before those two guys came, there were two other guys who appeared to be sneaking from a distance looking at my watch. It’s kind of intriguing. What was so special with this watch? The guy who approached me a while ago said that the watch has some confidential files hidden inside and that they owned it. They wanted it back to them but I was not sure if they were really the rightful owner. So I removed the watch from my wrist. But the watch became heavier and no longer rounded in shape. It appears to be oval. So the car went by with us inside. They told me that they were heading home, and then I told them to drop us before the exit road near the sea port. My friend and I bought a ticket in the ferry station. The clerk told us to wait, as the boat was on its way. While waiting for the ferry boat, I told my friend that I will go for a walk for a while. I went to the back of the ferry station and I saw an avocado tree with fruits as large as the coconut. I picked one and opened it. The seed was a peanut… ☕

Facebook and Twitter are Dying: Welcome to Decentralized Social Media It was only a matter of time. Facebook and Twitter had been on the decline for years, ever since the rise of decentralized social media platforms. These new platforms put the power back into the hands of the users, instead of centralized corporations. There was no longer a need for ads or algorithms to control what users saw. The final nail in the coffin for Facebook and Twitter was the decentralized platform known as Mastodon. Mastodon was open source, which meant that anyone could contribute to its development. It also meant that there was no one corporation in control of the platform. Mastodon quickly gained popularity due to its freedom from censorship and its commitment to user privacy. Facebook and Twitter could no longer compete with a platform that was so superior in every way. It was inevitable. Just as soon as blockchain technology became mainstream, the social media giants of Facebook and Twitter were doomed. Blockchain is the new hotness, and for good reason. It's a distributed ledger system that is secure, transparent, and immutable. In other words, it's the perfect platform for social media. Facebook and Twitter are centralized systems. That means that there is a single point of failure. If the servers of either company were to go down, the whole system would come crashing down. With blockchain, there is no single point of failure. The data is distributed across a network of computers, so even if one computer goes down, the others can pick up the slack. Another advantage of blockchain is that it is transparent. Every transaction is recorded on the ledger, so you can see exactly who is sending what to whom. There is no room for fraud or deception. Finally, blockchain is immutable. Once a transaction is recorded on the ledger, it cannot be changed. This is perfect for social media, where sensitive information is often shared. With blockchain, you can be sure that your data is safe and secure. It was only a matter of time before someone created a social media platform on blockchain. And when they did, Facebook and Twitter were quickly left in the dust. The new platforms are more secure, more transparent, and more reliable. They are the future of social media, and there is no turning back. And so, within a few short years, Facebook and Twitter were nothing more than a memory. Decentralized social media had won the day. 🤘

Talking about life, allow me... Life is not always going to be easy and sometimes it can be really tough. But that doesn't mean you give up. It just means that you learn to cope with the things that are thrown your way. You learn how to make the best of what you have, even if it isn't everything you had hoped for. And maybe most importantly, you learn how to appreciate the little things in life because those are often the most important ones. Life is not fair. It never was, it never will be, and there's nothing you can do to change that. What you can do, however, is accept the cards you were dealt and roll with the punches. Don't spend your time brooding over the fact that life isn't fair; instead, spend your time making the best of what you have. If you have a disability or chronic condition, learn to cope as best you can. Take whatever medications are prescribed to help you manage your symptoms and work around your limitations as much as possible. Don't let your condition define who you are or hold you back from having a fulfilling life; instead, focus on enjoying every minute of it because remember: Life is short. So take advantage of every second of it while you can! *** Hi there my name is Randall. I am new here obviously.
