It's Okay to Make Mistakes All of us had made atleast a single mistake in our lives either it's a small one or something you considered as a grave mistake. I just want to say that making mistakes are normal and you don't have to think about it. We need to accept the fact that we sometimes we fail to do the right thing but it is totally okay. Some of us have the tendency to think that when we make mistakes, that makes us a failure. As a result we get discourage, we lose our energy to do things and we get sad. This kind of thinking hinders the most of us to achieve our greater potential. Overcoming this will help us improved ourselves in so many aspects. So i want each and everyone of you to know that every mistake is a learning opportunity. Mistakes are proof that we are trying. Someone doesn't just succeed without making some mistakes. So when we make mistakes and get discourage, say this to yourself. "I know that what I did is wrong but what did I learn from it? What should I do so that I won't repeat this kind of mistake?" Asking yourself this type of questions will help you reflect in what you did. And through this, you might be able to identify what we should improve or adjust in ourselves so that we can no longer repeat the same mistakes. Also, mistakes and failures taught us various lessons that can lead us to a much better life. As the saying goes, "Experience is the best teacher in life." Always remember that learning doesn't stop when you got out of school. Life is a never ending process so be open to new lessons life may teach as you grow older. Don't think like it's the end of the world when you make a mistake. Try to change your perspective and focus on how can you can compensate for what you've done. Always remember that you are human too, and you are not perfect. Do not blame yourself for what you've done. Move on and try to do better. Most importantly, do not be a prisoner of your past mistakes. Try to forgive yourself and ask forgiveness to those you have wronged. Do something that will make you feel better. Always remember that in the right time, you will be forgiven by the people you've wronged. But whatever happens, don't ever make yourself suffer because of the mistakes you've done. You deserve happiness just like any other people in this world. I hope that when you read this, you will realized something important. Be happy!
Super Mario Effect: Learning something in a fun way As I was browsing the Internet, I stumbled across this words, "The Super Mario Effect". Remember the time you play Super Mario. If you played this game as a kid, you can pretty much relate. The goal is get to the Princess, right? But it's not that easy because of the obstacles present in path. And whenever you do die on a certain obstacle, you will just try again and remember that in that part, you need to be wary of that. So the main point of this principle is to focus on the princess and not on the obstacles. Now in application to our real life, we should be the same. We have our goals, right? But when we try to reach our goals, obstacles and other problems come in the way. And as soon as we see this obstacles we often lose our confidence. This is where we should apply the Super Mario Principle. We should focus on the Princess, which is our goal, and not on the obstacles. Instead of, losing hope upon seeing an obstacle, we should think of a way to overcome it and reach our goal. No matter how many obstacles are there, if we focus on the "Princess" that we want to achieve, we can work our way out of these certain circumstances. So with all of this information, we can use this as a tactic on studying for a certain lesson or topic. We should not focus on how hard this lesson is or we may not be able to get this even if we pour all our attention to it but rather we should find a way to make our way through it and understand it much better. By doing this, we can focus on our task and learn more. There are a lot to learn because not only that you learned and understand the topic but you also learned how to deal with different problems to get your work done. Through this, studying will be more efficient and you can learn more than what you originally plan. Applying this principle to yourself will really help you in your studies if you are a student like me. It may also be applied to adults and other sorts of people because even them have something they want to learn and figure out and have a goal they want to achieve. And using this principle is perfect if you're that type of person who worry so much on the challenges you might face. Always remember, all problems has solutions and can be solved. If you fail at your first try, it doesn't mean that you can never really do it. Just continue your efforts and surely, you will harvest the seeds that you sow.
Math is fun. Hello everyone. I'm a grade 12 student and I am 18 years old. Surely, most of you will disagree with me when I say, "Math is Fun". I know that most of you will surely say that I am wrong but let me state my point first. So like many of you, I also once hated Math. I find it so hard and boring that I barely listen to my classes. But everything changed when I decided to focus on it just once. I was grade 7 during that time. So I get my book and started reading. At first I don't understand any of it at all, but when I read for a couple of times, and after some practice on sample problems, I finally get it. I was so happy during that moment that my heart won't stop beating so fast. "I finally get it!", I said. And after continuous repetition of the same process, I was able to master that topic pretty soon. Then I decided to learn more. The feeling of learning something new felt so good that I want to feel it again. So I did my best to learn every lessons I can learn about Math in my textbook. I was grade 7 during that time so most of it are the basic concepts, properties, etc. And after all those studying I did, I felt more excitement. I'm excited of the fact that everyday is a new day to learn and a new day to obtain new knowledge. That excitement is still here up until now that I am a Grade 12 student. But do you know what I've realized? I realized that Math used all the basics concepts in all levels. All those properties, rules and other things that help you solved some equations during your Junior High School is still used in much higher levels. It's like the same process but variables just become more complicated. So what you really need is intense repetition. When you learn something, repeat the process on different problems again and again. Through that, you'll slowly master the process and before you noticed it, you're already good at solving in that particular topic. Then explore more. Explore more topics that interests you. Through this, I'm sure that you will find happiness in Math just like I do. So don't ever think that Math is boring and hard because Math have never been boring. It is hard? Or are you just not up for the challenge.
