Perfect Peace **April 24th, 2022.** `Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. John 14:27 (ESV) Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.` People say there is no perfect peace, and today's world is ripe with conflict. We all desire perfect peace, but none of us is perfect. Perfect peace is just like a dream, and yet there are times when it can feel tantalizingly close. Yet, even in the midst of mass conflict and violence, **real peace** is possible for each of us, and this realization could be the most important truth that humanity has ever learned. Public figures, corporate executives, and members of governments may have the responsibility and obligation to bring about a lasting peace, but they will fail if we collectively surrender to hopelessness. In politics and business we have become numb to leadership that has lost sight of its promise and purpose. Achieving "perfect peace" means the end of all war. And in order to arrive at such a destination we need truly courageous leaders who are willing to acknowledge the flaws in the systems and institutions they are called upon to improve. To achieve a lasting peace a leader must be fearless enough to speak the truth without any regard for their own well-being or position. A leader must also be wise enough to realize there will always be opposition to change by those who benefit from an unjust status quo. A world where everyone can live in perfect peace. That's what Peace is all about. This is the guiding principle behind everything we do. It's a constant quest to innovate and to perfect the science of peaceful living. (From the Life, Peace website.) Peace is a universal concept, yet so elusive. In most languages, the word for peace is the same. And yet, perfect peace is something we all search for. And it's possible to achieve. In fact, we all seek it every day. Yes, it's possible to experience perfect peace right now, right here. We all want to find it—even if we're not sure what it is. No one understands the desire for true peace and tranquility more than meditators who have uncovered its secret: the ability to be fully present in any moment. **How? By practicing mindfulness meditation—the simple act of simply being present in each moment.** Mindfulness is an ancient practice that has exploded in popularity over the past two decades. More and more scientific studies show that regular meditation actually changes the brain, making us less stressed, less fearful, and happier. Best of all, we can train our minds to be this way without even trying—it's simply a matter of practice. Why not take up a daily practice of mindfulness meditation? It may just help you find perfect peace. **We all desire perfect peace. We long for it. We dream about it.** **But is it possible?** **Can you find true peace?** For the Christian, peace that comes from God is possible . . . and it's found in Jesus Christ. You see, peace costs. But it's also priceless. Jesus paid the ultimate price so you could have perfect peace with God. And He wants to give you that perfect peace, beginning now. Imagine living every day with perfect peace and knowing that at the end of your life, you'll go to heaven to be with God. `Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV).` We all desire perfect peace. We want to escape from the world, but don't know how. We want to live in harmony with each other, but are tired of fighting. We want to love and be loved, but don't know where or how to begin. Perfect peace is a choice that we all have within ourselves. We can choose to look for it or we can choose to create it. #HappySunday

I think you need $3,000 April 23rd, 2022. A Twitter user recently messaged me on Twitter and asked me if I needed $3,000, he said he just sold an NFT for a very huge price and needed to help me as a friend. What a weird message to get on Twitter. What an even weirder idea that someone would love to be of help to me. But that's exactly what happened, and I got conned into losing all my earned dollars. He then said if I created a new account and set up a new wallet and forward it to him he would credit it with $1,000. So I did this too(opened another wallet, expecting to receive my awoof dollars). Then he stopped responding to my messages. Seeing this as a great opportunity for me to earn, I was happy on one end. And I was shocked on the other side when I got the message at first. I immediately said yes. Then he asked me to forward my wallet of which, a gullible me did. That same day I tried to transfer money out of my wallet but realise it got blocked and told me there was an unprocessed transaction in my account. Unknowingly to me, it was a close friend of mine that opened a Twitter account in other to scam me. He was closely following my message with the other guy, and immediately I sent my wallet address to the Twitter friend), I realized that after 30minutes my hard earned dollars has been wiped off. It turns out that my own friend had collected over $5,000 from some other people and then said he wanted to return the money but he needed help to pay back which was why he was asking for wallet details, by opening a new account. So now, I have lost all my money unknowingly. I had also noticed that this guy has already posted a tweet (since deleted) stating how he needs help with paying back some school fees for his daughter as well. I hope it won't happen to anyone else and I will be thankful if you can be kind enough to share this messages with others so that they can be aware of such scams and don't fall into it unknowingly. I am in no way responsible for your loss but you can surely do what you can to prevent any loss. Most especially such request from people you don't know online(it might turn out to be a scam) He actually did it, so that I would think it was twitter scam, but I know if anyone has my wallet address, the only thing the person can do is to access all my money and know how much I had, only a close person can transfer my money. At first, I thought it was an internet scam, but when I checked my bitcoin.com wallet and saw the transfer, I was shocked because it was a direct transfer. I want to share my experience so that people who are unknowingly involved in scam can be helped. All I can remember that day is that I felt helpless and hopeless, my heart was racing and I have no sleep throughout that night. In the morning, I reported the matter to twitter who suspended his account but that was not enough for me, others must know about this and the least I can do is publish this story so that it may serve as a warning to everyone out there because scamming is real and it could happen to anyone. Most importantly, be careful of those you think are your friends, but they are watching your every step and moves. They can be deadly.

In Love with my... **April 21st, 2022.** **What do we see to friends/besties growing feelings for each other?** Story about me... I have been friends with my best friend for years. During which, we have been to a lot of places together, and have shared a lot of laughter, smile and sadness together. We were working as colleagues when we met, became friends and then we used to joke around a lot. We talk about anything under the sun and never ran out of things to say to each other. When he teases me, I get angry at first but then soon forgive him. But then one day, I saw him outside of work, on the street. He was so different; his hair was wavy and his eyes shone brightly. He looked so cool. I realized then that I liked him, but I wasn't sure if he had a girlfriend so I never said anything. I realized quickly in the course of our friendship that he didn't have a girlfriend. We spent more time together, we chat every day and we saw each other outside of work sometimes. We became friends then best friends. I fell in love with him, hard. But whenever we were together or I was with him, I would definitely have this feeling. I didn't show that I was in love with him. I did well to pretend and even hide my feelings. It was like the universe didn't want us to be together. After an argument one day, he sent me a message and decided to break our friendship off before it got workse because as he said he only saw me as a sister and not a lover. Nothing would ever happen between us, I'd tell myself, because he's too perfect for someone like me. Maybe as he said we were just meant to be friends. We later came together, discussed and decided to remain best friends, **having set our boundaries.** We have been going out for so long that I thought we would never go beyond being good friends. We were like a married couple even though we were never in a relationship and we have been together for the past years. But then one day I realised that I'm seriously in love with him, and it has been four months since I've been nursing the feelings. I feel so guilty for how I feel, but I can't help myself from loving him. It all happened as a gradual process, and now there is nothing I want more than to be with him for the rest of my life. **At that point, I don't know what came over me. I started falling for him slowly. The chemistry between us is amazing.** But I can't stop thinking about him and it's difficult because we work together and I can't stop staring at him, I want to give him a hug, kiss his cheek and tell him that I love him. I can't hold back my feelings anymore but I know he doesn't feel the same. We've discussed relationships before and I know that he sees himself as a romantic guy but doesn't think he's worthy of being loved and being together with someone, most importantly me. It was very hard trying to keep those feelings away but whenever he's close to me, or even near me or when I think about him, I get butterflies in my stomach and I feel like everything's going to be okay because we're best friends again. **I know this is a bit of an odd post. But then, when I see other people with their significant others, I always get a bit jealous. And I think about what it would be like if it were me with that other person. Just another girl who secretly wants to be with my best friend..** I didn't know what else to do anymore to prove my love for him. But it's different now, our relationship has grown organically, the way relationships should. We understand the ups and downs of being in the same field and having the same goals, but we also understand that nothing shakes us when we are together. Now, He loves me too. When we started our relationship, my friends tell me that he might just be saying that because he's afraid to break up with me or maybe he's not ready for another relationship yet. But I chose to believe him, that he is real and true to his words. At the end of the day, I'm in love with this man. And he's fallen for me too. I'm not scared of looking forward to new beginnings. I have no fear that everything will change after we do make the jump. **Anyone in these shoes? In love with your friend/ bestie?** **How did it end or how is it going?** **Have you defined your relationship?**

Doubt **April 20th, 2022.** Doubt is a feeling of uncertainty about something, where you are unsure whether something or someone is good or bad. It is different from fear because fear conveys a certain sense of being wrong, whereas doubt does not necessarily mean that something is wrong. Fear can lead to bad outcomes and make you doubt your own ability to handle the situation. Doubt makes you question everything from circumstances to people. With Doubt, the most important thing to remember is that it causes a lot of stress and is not going to be helpful for you. This can be about the future or about something that's already happened. For example, you could doubt if your college applications will be accepted or if your favorite band will sell out their next tour. **Doubt can be a good thing!** It can help you to stop, think and plan ahead. **But it can also lead to worry or anxiety** if you choose to let it get the better of you. The universe is full of unexplained phenomena. I have a feeling we're just a small piece in a much larger puzzle, among many other puzzles. The more pieces we find and fit together, the closer we get to finding out the truth about the nature of our existence. I have a feeling everything happens for a reason and there's a purpose for our lives, this world, everything. Sometimes it's hard to see that because of all the chaos, sadness and violence going on around us all the time but that's not all there is. There's beauty in nature, art and music as well as love and happiness somewhere within every individual, even if they don't realize it. I feel we should spend more time looking at the positive things and trying to spread love rather than hate. There's always a light at the end of the tunnel and life gets better through faith and hope. Doubt is something we all feel. It's a feeling of uncertainty. You're not sure exactly how the future will turn out - so you have doubts. Doubt is hard on the psyche. It can cast a shadow, put pressure on you, and make you scared to try new things. But it's also something that can be overcome. Because if there's one thing we humans do well, it's overcoming doubt. The future is not a given, nor is it predetermined. It is often imagined with doubts and fears, which only create obstacles and limit our ability to seize the opportunities that lay before us. In life there are no guarantees, only challenges and opportunities. And challenges are nothing more than opportunities dressed in work clothes. The best way to deal with challenges, is to overcome them; the best way to overcome challenges, is to be positive and keep on believing. Doubt is a feeling of uncertainty. Having doubts about how the future will be, just be positive and keep on believing. Doubts may stand against one's goal in life. Live life to the fullest. Feel no regrets. The future holds great potential. It's not set, but can be moulded into whatever you wish it to be. Believe in yourself and your dreams, and anything is possible. Believe in yourself and what you have to offer this world. There are infinite possibilities and opportunities for you, for us, for me, for all mankind. Just believe that you can do it and make it happen. It's never too late to change your life for the better. **Doubt is something we all share. Doubt is having a hard time believing that something good will happen, that the future will be good or simply finding it hard to believe in yourself at some point.** The good news is that doubt is part of human nature and is essential for innovating and creating new ideas. In order to be successful you need to understand this, embrace it and turn it into aspiration. This ambition and yearning to achieve more is what moves humanity forward. The power of doubting can inspire you and make you do things better. The power of doubting can help you reach your goals, so if you have doubts, just be confident that you have the power and motivation to achieve more.

Who do we blame? April 19th, 2022. Blame is a funny thing. It's the act of holding someone or something responsible for a problem or shortcoming. But it's interesting how the blame is not just cast on someone or something, but targetted at them. Moral decadence in children is a worldwide problem. The causes of this phenomenon are numerous and varies depending on the school of thought. There are several causes of this decadence. I have been hearing many discussions about who is to be blamed for moral decadence in children. I was a normal child growing up in an average middle class family. I had no idea about the world and it's many corrupting evil at that time. But children this days know beyond what they should. Who is responsible for moral decadence of children? Parents, School or the Children themselves. We are currently living in an era where it is normal for kids to wear revealing clothes. The school books/textbooks are more focused on reading and writing than it is on spelling, punctuation and grammar. **One of the causes is the Parents:** Parents have forgotten what parenting is all about and have allowed the state to monopolize the relationship between parents and children. Coming home from school at times children would be grounded from social media sites but now some parents ate not even taking away the phone from them talkless of grounding them from social media. The only way their children can communicate with their friends is through social media so taking away the phone prevents them from communicating with their peers as they say. The loss of communication between parents and children has led to extreme peer pressure among young adults who are easily influenced by people of their age or by celebrities which could lead to immoral/immoral acts or activities. **Another cause is the School:** Schools used to be strict on attire and kids would be sent home if they did not adhere to the dress code. Now a days the clothing students wear are more revealing than ever before. Even underwear is seen as outfit of the day in schools and some schools provide optional yoga pants for girls to wear. Boys previously had their own dress code which was baggy jeans, t-shirts and sneakers/sneakers, but now it has become more "urbanized". This term urbanized describes the clothing that boys wear in school which is generally branded clothing such as Nike, Adidas and other popular clothing brands. There is an unusual story trending online at the moment. On the surface, it may look like another attempt to blame parents and teachers for the behavior of our children, but I think it needs to be told. Parents are always majorly blamed for the wrong-doings of their children. That's what we were taught by our elders, and the media. But who is really to blame? **Well, it's not only the parents. Our parents are old and have lived through their own time. School is not to be blamed either, as it's there to teach us what we should know; and as for the children themselves, it is their own desire to achieve that drives them to do whatever they do.** In a recent article on the topic of moral decadence someone said: "They just don't care right now," he says of his children. "They're overwhelmed by the possibilities. They have no faith in the system." **It's tempting to blame the parents. But the problem is more universal. In the era of the internet, no one is excluded from exposure to relentless images of gore and sadism.** It's not surprising that this phenomenon has led to "copycat" crimes and murders. Who is to be blamed for moral decadence in children? Parents, School or the children? It is obvious that it must be a concatenation of all three factors. **Kindly share your opinion in the comment section.**

Letter to the Love of My Life April 18th, 2022. I am yours, I give my all to you. You have done me well, and all I can do is to give myself to you totally. A million times, I am yours. Even without measure I am yours. Brilliant, beautiful and kind. Full of grace, with an enigmatic smile on your happy face. An eyes that light up with the magic of life. A man's smile that twinkles with the memories of all your past lives. Your hands, I want to feel them every day. So gentle and so strong. Your love, I want to experience daily. So, tender and loving. Your feet, I want to feel them every day. So warm and so full of life. I love you, and will always love you. I give my all to you. You have done me well and all I can do is to give myself to you totally. The unconditional love and joy I feel for you is beyond the universe. It is too huge for words. It overpowers everything I could ever say. You are the sun that warms my heart, the wind that gives me wings, and the music in everything I see and do. I love you so much that I can't explain. I am yours. You are my heart and soul. The love I have for you will never end. The endless depths of connection we share boggles my mind, it is so vast beyond my comprehension. My life is filled with love because you're in it. You mean more than this world to me. I'll show the world and let them know how much we love each other. The world has seen countless examples of people finding love and then turning their back on it. Some people even pretend they don't have it and want what they cannot have. What the world doesn't see often enough are people who are committed to something so pure and meaningful that they surrender everything to it. He has done countless things for me and we can't turn our backs on our love because we've already turned our backs on anything else that might hinder it. We never tried to be apart. It was no choice at all when I saw you and only you. You were looking for me even when I wasn't looking for you. But you found me and I came closer to you, and everything in the world could not have kept us apart from each other. There is no greater power than the love we have for each other, the passion, the commitment, the loyalty, the friendship. We have it all. We are both giving our everything to each other and there's nothing that can stop us anymore. You give me more, even when I have nothing to give at all. You have done me well and all I can do is to give myself to you totally. I am Yours for all time. I am always with you, even if we are apart because it doesn't really matter where I am because our bond is strong. No matter where I am, you can feel that our love will always bind us together and we will be as one. I am Yours and will never live without you. You're the first and last thought in my mind every day of my life and there's no one else but you, your needs and your wants. This is how it should be because you're the first and last thing on my mind every day. So if that's what counts the most then this love we have is a true love – everlasting and long lasting. I love you first and foremost, more than anything else. You deserve me by your side and I will honour that commitment to the end of my days. You have always been my shelter and I am honoured. You are my friend and greatest supporter, on a journey that started some years ago. I cannot believe that time flew. You are truly amazing, in every way, shape and form. How you make me feel; from how we met and how our relationship has grown over the years. We do well together as a team and our unconditional love for each other has stood the test of time. We've been through so much together that it's made us stronger and wiser than we've ever been. I am Yours, You are mine, I love you forever and ever.

True love is loving yourself. April 16th, 2022 Without you loving yourself, you can't truly love someone else because if you don't love yourself first and if you don't know who you are and who you want to become, then how can you know what kind of person will genuinely make you laugh and make your heart ache but in a good way. When you truly love yourself you don't need anyone to complete you, because no one will ever be able to complete you like your best friend and someone you can hit the town with. No one will be able to put a smile on your face like the way your dog's breath feels when it hits your face when he's excited to see you. **Also, no one will compliment you like the person staring back at yourself in the mirror when they say "you're beautiful." True love is loving yourself.** True love can't be seen through other people's eyes in how they see us. True love comes from how we love ourselves, because if you love yourself, the person you love will see that too. True love is loving yourself as much as you want to be loved by someone else. Things can get complicated in life, sometimes we get lost in things we are chasing and forget what is most important. We forget that we are the one who whether family, friend or lover will be there for us the most. No matter what happens in life either good or bad, true love is always there for you, life can get cold and even though you might feel alone out there, no one is ever truly alone because there is always someone for you to turn to and that person might just be you. The funniest things we do when trying to impress a crush or someone we like, is to wear a new outfit, or not eat that favorite food that we love, or any other silly reason we can think of. The biggest thing we forget when doing these things is the fact that we don't need to impress anyone else, what we should really be doing is loving ourselves just the way we are. Because you are amazing just the way you are. If you didn't know this about yourself then take time to discover who you are, and if you don't love yourself then start by finding things that you do love about yourself. One of the best ways to love yourself is to make positive affirmations to yourself daily. Positive affirmations basically means looking at something bad in your life and turning it into something good. For example, if you're struggling with feeling anxious all the time and it's holding you back from doing things you want to do, turn that feeling into a positive statement "I feel anxious all the time, but I am strong enough for anything." Affirmations can really help to boost your self esteem. And if you still have a hard time loving yourself then look around and find people that do have high self esteem and try to mimic them. They will surely have some sort of key factor in common and one way or another that same key factor will eventually lead to loving who you are and what you have. ****True love can't be seen through other people's eyes in how they see us; it's a lot deeper than that. Real and true love comes from how we love ourselves. They notice how happy you are and that it's not because of them.**** ****They see the light that the two of you bring to the room together, they see how happy you are in your own skin. That is what true love is.**** We all have a love story. For most of us it starts with falling in love with someone, but the end of a love story is always the same. The end of the love story is when you fall out of love with yourself and you stop loving who you are. When you stop loving yourself, you start to see yourself through other people's eyes and what they think about you, and it becomes hard to see if your love is real or fake. If you're reading this, I'm going to bet it's because of a special someone. A man or woman who's treated you like no one else has ever done and made you smile so much you thought something was wrong. Maybe they do things you don't expect, and they're a little different than others. Maybe they're shy, but once they open up you can't help but be happy and smile.

Disappointment April 14th, 2022 I'm so tired of being disappointed. When someone do something unexpected, how do I get over my disappointment? I'm sure you know what I'm talking about, like when you're about to get on a rollercoaster or go bungee jumping and someone makes a better last minute offer to do something else, the feeling that hits you like a punch in the gut and leaves you feeling like you just got kicked off the ride is disappointment. It's always a good idea to know how to deal with it when it happens to you because then you can get over it and move on to more important things rather than being bummed out for the rest of the day. Life happens. There are always setbacks, but some have bigger consequences than others. When we are disappointed, it gets our focus off what's most important. Disappointment makes us question our own abilities as well as the goodness of others. It leads to discouragement and depression. Disappointment is a thief that robs us of the joy of the present and our hope for tomorrow. How do I get over my disappointment? Disappointment is a natural part of life, but it doesn't have to be a part of your life that you just accept and tolerate. Disappointment comes in many forms, like when your sibling or your favourite friend does something you don't expect, when you're not getting the salary you want at work, or even when someone disappoints you in a significant relationship. Disappointment is not pleasant, but what can be pleasant is learning how to deal with it and move on to better things in life. We've all been there, done that, and we're not proud of it. Disappointment is something that affects all of us, and as difficult as it is to get over it, we have to learn how it's an opportunity to grow. I could remember when my roommate did something so disappointing to me. But then I thought, "there's no way on earth she could have done this intentionally." I think the same went for the time I watched someone nearly kill another person by false accusations. Or even the time an acquaintance said something that was offensive to me. I'm sure there are many more times when I've seen people do things that they didn't intend to do. We're all just trying to get through life, doing what we can with the resources we have. We don't always make the right decisions and we definitely don't always make the right choices. Disappointment is a difficult emotion to deal with. It's one of the most common human emotions, but it can feel devastating. Breaking up with a partner, losing your job and dealing with debilitating illness are all examples of difficult situations that can make you feel let down. But there is a growing movement of people who have learnt how to deal with disappointment. There are a lot of different ways you can respond to these situations. Some people choose to wallow in their emotions, but developing resilience isn't about learning how to stop feeling disappointed or how to avoid every let down. It's about how we face these challenges and move on, while remaining true to ourselves. One of the most important aspects of building resilience is being able to identify your values and being able to recognise when you are being true to them. With this self-awareness, you nurture your wellbeing and gain the ability to bounce back from life's challenges and overcome hurdles more easily. The ability to be resilient can be nurtured. Just know that each individual will deal with disappointment differently.

Coping with Pain April 12th, 2022. Pain in life is inevitable, whether because of our own fault or that of others. However it is there, we should not allow it to dictate what will become of us moving forward. The one thing that can get us through the darkest times, the greatest of challenges and most painful situations is our attitude and perspective. Life is all about finding the light in darkness. It is in the moments when we are at our lowest that we can choose to give up or choose to find a way to rebuild even stronger than before. No matter how dark things may seem in the moment, they can always get better if we try to find something to hold on to. We can always look for something positive and regain control over what may be an otherwise dark situation with a positive outlook. We can make a choice to be happy and pick ourselves back up after a fall. Coping with pain is a very natural thing, we can only wish and hope that we will be able to conquer the pain. First and foremost, it is very important to be able to discern the difference between physical pain and emotional pain. Physical pain is more of a physiological process that cannot be controlled directly, where emotional pain can be dealt with more effectively. Once this has been determined, there are some things you can do to help overcome the pain. When you feel pain, understanding its root cause is very important, if it is caused by a disease it may be prudent to see a doctor. When you are feeling physical pain, do not avoid or deny it, instead acknowledge it and let your mind take over. Find ways to let your mind relax, stress does not help any form of pain get better or go away any quicker. If you are in severe pain or have a condition that needs immediate medical attention, you should seek medical attention immediately. Every human on this earth has experienced pain, it's a natural phenomenon. We are bound to go through pain in life, when it happens, what do we do, how do we cope with pain? So how do we cope with pain? To start with, one needs to understand the meaning of pain. Pain is defined as a hurt distress or suffering of body or mind. Okay, from the definition above, pain is a feeling, so what is emotion? Emotion is a strong feeling derived from one's circumstances, mood, or relationships with others. Pain is something that none of us can avoid. It’s in our lives even before we’re born and will be in our lives even after we die. And for some of us, pain is something so intense that it can shut us down, make us do things that we wish we didn’t do and make us feel the worst we have ever felt. The fact that pain makes you cower down and feel bad about yourself is the worst part. Thinking through theis, I remember some years ago, I had just gotten to work when we got word that a coworker was in the hospital, hit by a truck while he was on his way to work. It was a freak accident, and our coworker, 23-year-old would never walk again. I sat in my cubicle, alone, numb and frozen in tears. The pain was unbearable: both the pain of his accident, and also the pain of seeing someone else in so much pain. I left early that day, went home, and fell down into a pit of depression. I couldn't stop dealing with it, the memory of seeing another human being like that continuously played in my head over and over again. It felt as though it would never stop. Every time I closed my eyes I saw him laying there, broken and bleeding. I'd always been good at keeping heavy things inside me. And I had always dealt with it on my own. But that day at work, I just wasn't strong enough to do it on my own anymore. I needed help. I started to come to terms with the fact that I was human, and that sometimes pain is unavoidable — especially if you keep it all inside you. With time, it began to heal and things got better again. With time, I became stronger than before; able to talk about things instead of keeping it all bottled up inside me. The issue of pain is one of the most challenging aspects in life. It may lead to depression, and the person will not be able to learn anything new. He or she will be constantly wondering why everything is happening to him or her. We all know that sometimes life won’t be fair to us, we will have to deal with pains in order to learn and grow. Pain is a common phenomenon, but the intensity of pain will be determined by the situation you are coping with.

Christ's Triumphant Entry April 10th, 2022. Today is widely known as Palm Sunday. It's a day when Christ had a triumphant entry into Jerusalem on a tied colt. He entered the city to shouts of Hosanna - "save us now" according to the Bible. Crowds of people spread their cloaks and branches across the road under his feet and sang psalms of praise to him, as if he were a king. To understand why Jesus entered Jerusalem so triumphantly is to understand the significance of today's event. This special day was the one where he had his disciples and people wave palm branches as he rode in on a donkey. At that time, we first see Christ in action, doing something that nobody else had done. That is turning an animal into a means of transportation. Instead of riding on an expensive steed or an eagle, Christ used an animal that had no other purpose in life other than to be ridden. This was symbolic of the humble life he lived. It showed that he was willing to stoop low to prove his connection with the people. Every Sunday the week before Easter marks Palm Sunday, a day when Christ triumphantly entered Jerusalem on a Mounted Donkey. According to the book of Matthew, this was the beginning of Christ’s final week of living on Earth. It was also the beginning of his mocking and torture. The palm branches that were waved in Christ’s honor were also used to make a crown of thorns. On his way to Jerusalem, Christ and the disciples entered the city through the eastern gate on a tied colt. They were welcoming by people throwing down their cloaks in front of Him. He was treated like royalty and many believed He was the Messiah that had come to save them. It was in that moment that Christ announced His true mission, to be a suffering servant and to die for our sins. His coming was not to be a triumphal celebration but a suffering and death. It was truly a glorious day as Christ leads us triumphantly into our new life because of His resurrection from the dead. Upon his arrival in Jerusalem, the crowds waiting for Jesus were so enormous, the Gospel of John gives witnesses to the fact that even before he arrived at the city his clothes were already all covered with dirt from the crowds touching them. Now what does that tell us about our society today? Well, obviously there are many people today, who are waiting for a change and good news. Time and time again, Jesus offered hope to people who had lost all hope of redemption. Many of us are familiar with the story of Palm Sunday, but we may not know that this is one of the most important days of all for Christians. For example, on this day Mary the mother of Jesus met the Apostle John for the first time and he became a great friend of Jesus. "As they were coming near Jerusalem and Bethphage and Bethany at the Mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples and said to them, ‘Go into the village in front of you, and immediately as you enter it you will find a colt tied, on which no one has ever sat. Untie it and bring it. If anyone says to you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ say, ‘The Lord has need of it and will send it back here immediately.’ Then they went away and found a colt tied at a door outside in the street, and they untied it. Some of those standing there said to them, ‘What are you doing, untying the colt?’ They answered them just as Jesus had told them to, and they let them go. The christian story, as recorded in the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John begins when Jesus returns to the Sea of Galilee after a period of teaching and healing in cities and villages throughout Galilee. Poets, preachers, and prophets were common on the street of Jerusalem at that time and people were interested in their charismatic stories. One day, a man named Jairus came running up to Jesus seeking help for his twelve-year-old daughter who had died and was seemingly dead. Jesus responded by saying that there was still hope to be had. We may call this situation a tragedy but for Jesus it was an opportunity for him to give hope to those who felt hopeless.

Old Acquaintances April 6th, 2022. I happened to attend a friend's weddingg today and reconnected with an old acquaintance, catching up on what we've been up to these past couple of years. I've missed our one-on-one conversations and catching up was fun. We were secondary school mates but lost contact after I left the school for another school. The conversation eventually shifted from catch-up to relationship problems. As she opened up about her complicated relationship with her mother, I found myself going from one end of the spectrum to the other. I felt sad for her. I sympathize with the situation. But then I went to the other end of the spectrum wondering if I should say anything, tell her what I did or be honest about how I feel about it. What do I do when I'm faced with situations that tests my moral compass? Am I a bad person if I don't say anything? What do you think? Is there a right thing to do? If you were in my position, what would you do? You've probably had that thought before. You say something to someone and they assume you're trying to be hurtful or malicious, but it was just the opposite. The thing is, people can take things in different ways, and you have to remember that. The other day, I got a message from an old friend I'd lost touch with. He's gone through a lot since we were last in touch and had found himself in a very tough spot. I sent him my answer, followed by a follow up message of support, but I still felt bad and wanted to do more so I reached out to find out what he needed more of and how he'd like me to help. **What would you do if a friend sent you a message asking for help, in particular, a friend that you've lost contact with for long.?** Like, I haven't talked to this friend in almost a decade. We were good friends, I think. He messaged me out of the blue a few days ago asking for help. He was in a bad situation, and even though we weren't close anymore he said he needed help. I don't know him anymore though. He's probably changed a lot since we've lost contact. I haven't talked to him in 10 years. He was one of my best friends, and I am wondering if I should reach out to him? What do you think? Should I give him what he's asking for? If I don't do what he asks for does it mean I'm a bad person for not contacting him after so long? For the last 6 years, I have been saying stuff like "I'm going to reach out to all my secondary school friends this summer". But I've always been too busy. The main question remains though: should I reach out to any one of them at all, because I'm sure everyone has one or two things they are going through? And I wouldn't want a situation whereby I'll be faced with a problem or the other. I also have my challenges. I think we all struggle with this question at some point. Making that first move after not hearing from someone can be very difficult. As much as we'd like to think that they are waiting to hear from us, most likely they have moved on with their life and have forgotten about us. Maybe it makes us feel bad that we've not reached out before, but the reality is – people move on with their life. We deserve to do the same. It's okay to reach out, because we never know what will happen when we reach out. Just follow your mind and do what you feel is really best for you.

Egoism April 8th, 2022. **Egoism**, is a term generally used to describe excessive pride. Ego refers to one's self-image or sense of personal importance. It is the excessive reliance on one's own abilities and disregard for the abilities or needs of others. A lot of factors defines a person's success. There are many attributes and personality traits that help in personal growth and evolution. On the contrary, there are many things that leads to failure, too. Like pessimism, narcissism, greed and **ego**. I'll focus on **ego** for today because it's one of the prime reasons why people tend to fail even though they're talented and hard working. In a positive light, ego is the driving force behind actions that help an individual to succeed and achieve a sense of accomplishment. On the other hand, narcissism can be the result of having an excessive ego and it may lead to a feeling of superiority that interferes with relationships with others. `"If you love yourself enough, nothing else matters."` – Gary Zukav `"One's own opinion, however true it may be, is still only one individual's opinion."` – Marcus Aurelius A healthy ego is important in every aspect of life, but an inflated ego can cause conflict within relationships, interfere with decision making and cause problems at work because it tends to devalue other people's ideas or accomplishments. **Ego is probably one of the most deeply rooted traits that we all have as human beings.** If a person has a high Ego, they tend to believe they are God's gift to the world, or that they are better than others. Based on studies, having a high Ego is considered by many to be one of the reasons why so many people fail to achieve their full potential. This is because those with high Egos tend to have an inflated sense of self worth, which leads them to believe that everything will be handed to them with no real effort on their part. Egos can be dangerous at times, and can have devastating results when put into practice. Egos are destroyed all the time when humans fail at something and it is this failure that makes us stronger and more prepared for the future. Ego is the view that a person has of himself. An example of ego is the way that you look at yourself. An example of ego is thinking you are the smartest person on earth. It is the most central part of the mind, which mediates with one's surroundings. Love is happy when it is able to give something. But, ego is happy when it is able to take something. So I was a real jerk yesterday. Something had happened and I was in a bad mood and told someone to get off my phone. But then I realized something: I am the only one who can even control my own ego, let alone someone else’s. However, I didn’t want to just tell them they were wrong, because they aren’t, they are actually really awesome. I can tell you from experience that a little ego boost goes a long way. You don’t have to be a jerk about it. It is possible to give someone a boost without hurting their feelings or putting them down or making them feel uncomfortable. Ego can destroy everything if not controlled. Ego is a defense mechanism that uses fantasy to protect our fragile self-esteem. In the presence of danger, any external suggestion that our accomplishments are not in fact wonderful, amazing and magnificent is denied by ego; it insists that we are better than others, more popular, more powerful. It’s one of the main reasons that there are so many narcissists in the world. **Narcissism** is about competition. Ego tells you that you need to go to extreme lengths to prove your superiority over others. Ego comes to play if you’re a criminal trying to avoid capture. Ego may tell you that you should keep committing heinous crimes because they will never catch you. Ego might even tell you that you’re smarter than the police and will not be caught. Don’t listen to it. **Your ego is your conscious mind, the part of your identity that you consider your "self." So, use it wisely.**

Choice Overload April 7th, 2022. "Choice overload" is the term that we use to explain that our minds cannot cope with the number of options we have and will definitely feel suffocated, which leads to exhaustion and anxiety. Each of us go through each and everyday of our lives for different reasons like food, clothing, mobile phones, television sets, and a lot of other things which are either big or small. I believe we can all relate to it. From the moment you choose to wake up, until you make the choice to go to sleep, every single moment of your life is a choice. **Imagine if no one was forced to do anything – no one had to go to school, no one had to go to work, and everyone could do whatever they wanted all day. It would take a long time to get anything done because there are so many choices to make.** Life would be messy. But if we accept that every choice we make matters and that it adds up in some way, it’s easier for us to see how different choices can lead to different outcomes. It is overwhelming. Making a choice can become stressful, particularly if it is related to a medical issue. You make choices every day. These choices shape your life, and they can shape the world around you. You can choose to be a kind person. A generous person. A good person. And you can help make the world a better place. One of the best feelings in the world is knowing you’ve made a positive impact on your community and on a stranger’s life, even if it’s just for a moment. You can choose a life without violence. You can choose to acknowledge the pain in your life, and do whatever you can to heal it. You can choose to forgive yourself and others. You can choose compassion and generosity. Choose to love yourself, even when you don’t feel lovable. Choose hope when the world feels hopeless. You can choose life over death. Choose self-love over fear, joy over pain, gratitude over resentment, acceptance over judgment, change over comfort, and peace over war. Choose happiness. Choose everyday to make the world a better place by choosing kindness and compassion – not just toward others, but toward yourself as well. I remember having gone through the anxiety of selecting an hand mixer when I wanted to buy during black Friday last November. So many choices from size, to brand, to features etc. Narrowing down my choice to one of the many hand mixers was a huge task. The fear of making a wrong choice could have delayed my decision, which made me lose the offer. I had to wait till this March this momth to select the hand mixer I want and even where to buy it from. Making the choice was not simple, but I had to do it, as at that moment decision-making was crucial. I went through anxiety, fear, and confusion, but allowed none of these to hinder the choice. Sometimes even the small choices we make day-to-day can have a significant impact on our lives. **I have always followed the following points when making a choice:** 1. Remind myself of my priority, goal, and the future impact of the outcome I might get while choosing or making decisions. 2. Never allow your emotions to sway away your decisions. 3. Use intuition and not my head when making a choice. 4. Consider as many alternatives as I can come up with to make an informed choice. It's morning here, so I'll say good morning from this end. **NOTE:** Life is a matter of choices, and every choice you make, makes or mar you.

Laws of Detachment **April 5th, 2022.** The world is constantly changing. Our perceptions, our relationships, and the way we feel are being continuously shaped. We have some control in this, but it doesn't always feel like it. Detachment allows us to experience life as we are experiencing it, not as we think it is supposed to be. It helps us to step back and see our reality clearly, with no sentimentality, no expectations. It allows us to accept things for what they are and move on in a healthy way. Detachment doesn’t mean running away from your problems or avoiding them. It means allowing yourself the space to find a solution that truly feels right for you. Detachment doesn’t mean cutting off relationships or avoiding them either. Rather, it's about creating a space where the relationship can flourish and grow healthily. It's about knowing that you don't need others to be your source of happiness or hold your value as a person. Detachment gives us control over ourselves and allows us to let go of limiting thoughts and emotions that don't serve us well. Detachment allows room for change and growth within ourselves and others around us. Detachment is not easy, but it is necessary if we want to live well in this world today. There are laws to detachment. Allow others to be who they are. Allow yourself to be who you are. Don't force situations. Solutions will emerge in time. Uncertainty is reality. Embrace it. The laws of detachment are the laws of reality. There is an absolute certainty that uncertainty is real. There is an absolute certainty that we don't know what's around the corner. There is an absolute certainty that we can't control the world around us. No one can tell what the future holds. We can plan, anticipate and prepare but in the end we may be surprised. Sometimes those surprises are pleasant, sometimes not so much. **Allow others to be who they are.** Don't try to change them. If you have something positive to share, then share it freely with no expectation for something in return. **Allow yourself to be who you are.** If you're feeling angry, then feel that anger. If you're feeling sad, then feel that sadness. Embrace it, and then let it go. Don't force relationships or interactions, if they are not working, let them go. **Solutions will emerge with time and space between you and the other person.** And that space is the antidote to detachment. The space allows you to embrace the uncertainty within the situation, because when two people come together with certainty, there is often resistance on one side or the other. Uncertainty is reality. **Embrace it and leverage it.** Success comes from detaching yourself from a situation that is not working and allowing yourself the space to evaluate your options before taking action again. And what's true for one person is true for every person, so next time you find yourself trying to control a situation or a person, just remember there are laws of detachment and allow yourself the space to succeed. If you've been trying to be someone else for so long, it's probably because you don't like who you're with. But that's not a good enough reason for you to keep doing it. You see, the thing is, nothing can replace you. You are irreplaceable. And that is what you've got to believe and keep telling yourself until you actually DO believe it. There are things that are important and there are things that don't even matter at all. When you stop believing in the little stuff, then you'll get your groove back. Trust me, when you do that, you'll find what it is that you want and want to do. But until a certain point, if you don't know what it is you're looking for, then everything seems just as important as everything else, doesn't it? Well, trust your guidance system, your intuition will show call signs of where it wants to go next. If you keep moving in the same direction without knowing whether it's the right way or not, eventually you'll get there and maybe even realize that you got lost along the way. Most of the time the things that bother us are mostly the things we've created in our minds. Stop thinking in those terms and focus on creating something positive out of those circumstances instead.

Purpose April 3rd, 2022. As your needs change, so do your plans. Your purpose is everything. I want you to think about what you want your life to look like in 5 years, 10 years, 20 years, 30 years and then I want you start doing something. Be purposeful in life, don’t just float through life and hope things happen because if you have a plan, there’s no way that you can fail, right? So make sure you know what you’re doing every day. Purpose is the reason for which something exists. Why do I do what I do? Why am I here? This is a question that we all ask ourselves at some point in our lives. What’s your purpose? What’s the reason you wake up every morning? Is it to make money? To have a family? To help others? I think everyone has a purpose and it’s important to find out what yours is. Through my own struggles, I found my purpose. It’s to help people find their purpose in life and show them how to live it to the fullest. How to live it so they can take on the world and leave their mark on it. Purpose is something that gives a sense of direction and a reason for living. Why do we get up in the morning? What inspires us to act? For some people it is to bring about change and for others to simply be the best version of themselves. Purpose. We need to be purposeful in life, what do you want to do with your life? After all, what’s the point of doing anything if you don’t believe it matters? Few things matter more than health and happiness. We should make sure that in everything we do, however small or large, makes a real difference in people’s lives. What is purpose? To answer that question, we have to ask, who are we as human beings? Where do we come from? What are our beliefs? How do we understand our place in the universe? Because the answers to these questions have changed many times over the course of human history, and will continue to change in the future. If you ask me, I hate to see people live without a purpose – without a plan. I hate to see people waste their lives. I know people who want to change the world, but they never get started. I know people who want to help the community, but they don’t know how. I know people who want to be a mom, or dad, but they’re still single. People say a lot of things, but they don’t actually do anything. Have big plans for Life: Plan to make it super easy to track your progress. Plan to give yourself actionable insights on your health and happiness. Plan to bring clarity and accountability to your thoughts and goals. Plan to help yourself achieve the freedom and personal growth that you want. Because we all have dreams and it’s up to us if we follow through. Searching for your purpose in life may make you feel like you’re on a never-ending quest. It turns out that people from all walks of life, from entrepreneurs to artists, are searching for the same thing — a purpose that makes them feel like they’re part of something bigger. **Why then do we need purpose?** Our world is changing and so are we. We must be purposeful in our lives if we want to live, work and play in this digital era. An overwhelming number of people (85%) believe that defining meaningful goals and taking action steps towards accomplishing them is important, yet less than half (44%) are doing it consistently. Our future is being created by us, but it depends on what we do today. Purpose - is a direction in life that inspires us to be the best version of ourselves - will help us get there and live a more fulfilling life . Purpose connects everything together. It’s one of the first questions I ask my colleagues when we’re planning something new. From our technology to our businesses, to the community we are envisioning, purpose is at the heart of everything we do.

Train your Child April 2nd, 2022. **Train up a child in the way he should go, so that he will not depart from it. A child you don't train will end up being a burden to you in the future.** According to real facts, the average age to start walking is 12 months, but it varies from child to child. Most babies grow slowly in the beginning and then pick up speed between 9 and 18 months. Length, height, weight, and head circumference all track together during growth, but each of them develops at a different pace. As your child grows, remember that all children are different in their own way, and it’s normal for there to be some variation in the pace of your child’s growth compared to others. Training a child is one of the most difficult and gratifying challenges you will ever face. Whether you are a single parent, or have a team of people supporting you, it is important to understand that you are training them from the womb to be successful. In order for your child to be successful, you need to instill into their lives a sense of discipline and respect for authority. Discipline your kids even if they're natural born leaders. You must know that once they leave your house, the world will not care about them as much as you do. I believe that children who are disciplined are less likely to succumb to peer pressure, especially during their teenage years. "They're not going to listen to some peer telling them how to do something wrong when they've been taught that what they're doing is right. **God commands parents to “train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”** We’re all aware of the struggles that adults face as they attempt to stay on the right path. So why make things harder for your child? In life, you can easily send positive messages to your child while simultaneously curbing some of the behaviours that cause most parent-child conflicts. Some of the tools to help your child grow are his faith, social life, health, and most importantly education. As a parent you can manage the fruits of your labour by providing getting relevant news and information which is customized for your child’s age and stage of growth. You get to see and know how your child’s progress is going through interactive challenges and challenges with friends. There is also opportunity for parents to get help for themselves by connecting them with professional counselors when needed. Our society has changed. Children are growing up at an alarming rate. It’s not a matter of if your child is exposed to things that you never intended for them to see, but when. I so much believe that it’s the responsibility of each parent to train their child in the way they should go. By exposing children to a wide variety of outdoors and physical activities and encouraging them to develop an interest in sports and play, they can gain an essential awareness of their body, it's potential and ability to move. Parents should be able to identify when their child need help and which expert is best suited to their child’s needs based on their child’s current level of development and what help is needed for them to reach the next stage. **How you raise your child will determine the kind of adult they become. Whether you're a parent, future parent or grandparent - here are some tips you should know as you train up your child.** Be there for every milestone - I had a colleague whose parents missed her graduation, her being awarded a scholarship and various other important milestones. When she was in high school, she told me that she had no desire to raise children because she didn't want them to feel unloved and unwanted. She didn't want her kids to feel like the only time her parents show up is when they want something from their children. Teach them what they need to know - my fiancee's parents taught him how to make change, how to cook and how to drive a manual transmission car. Those skills aren't necessary for everyone, but it showed my future father-in-law that he did in fact have value. He taught his children what they needed to know, not just what was popular or only what he wanted to teach them.

April Fool's Day April 1st, 2022. April Fool's Day is one of the most popular days of the year. It's the fourth month of the year, April, and just as people are used to play pranks on other people, I decided to have a little fun with some of my partners too but later decided against it because times are hard and I wouldn't want to cause stress or pain to anyone today. April is here, and it's time for the annual celebration of all things silly(if I may say) April Fools' Day is upon us! People love playing pranks on each other this month. Whether you are trying to get your co-workers to believe you sneezed on your computer or want to show off a fake broken leg, you'll probably fool a few people. I understand that many people think April is not a serious month and at all time people seem to be joking around. But inas much as April is a month to celebrate pranking as people believe. The pranks that are most fun aren't just wacky and light-hearted but they also make us think differently or provoke us into action. With April here, there are few tricks up my sleeve. The first of April is packing off its luggage alrealdy which means many forms of the ol' fashioned April Fool's Day pranks have been experienced today! While everyone's favorite holiday does have a historical precedent, it's anyone's guess as to why we've been pulling pranks on the first of April for hundreds of years. Although there are hordes of pranksters out there who are dedicated to proving that nothing is sacred, April Fools' Day is not only meant to be fun and light-hearted; it also helps us bring light to important issues through parody. Whatever trick anyone plays today just happens to be on them. Hey, Limit your pranks, so people can know when you are serious or not. April Fool's Day is a great opportunity for many to pull a prank on their friends, family and co-workers. Everyone loves a good prank. But I would want us to make sure you let people know when we are kidding, and when we are not, so that when we are really serious we won't be taken lightly. The world around us changes so much every day and we expect it to be the same. So, even as this month is going on smoothly, lets be hopeful and positive that we would come out of this month unscathed. We would not die before our time and every plans of the evil ones over our lives will not be fulfilled.

Aspire to be Different March 31st, 2022. Be Different But the question is, how? We’re all different and we’re all striving to be different. No one’s going to change the world if they’re just like everybody else. Being different requires hard work, it requires sacrifice, it requires dedication and above all else, it requires courage. Aspire to be different. It's a simple concept that means to want something more, to desire something better. It's human nature. Aspiration is an attitude, it’s a feeling, it’s a determination to succeed. We all had it when we were children, we all had that moment of wonder, curiosity and innocence. What do I wish for you? I wish that in your heart you feel that way again. I wish that at this moment you decide to aspire to be different. Be happy every day. Discover something new every day. Explore the world and everything in it, because you never know what you will find. Be curious. Be playful. Be inventive. And most importantly be kind… all the time Have fun everyday. Be a kid again, even if it's only for a moment. Appreciate beauty, let it fill your heart and feed your soul with happiness and joy. Not everything is going to go the way you want it to go, so accept what life delivers with gratitude and grace. That’s how you become an adult with integrity, with an open mind and heart and a sense of wonder about life as it unfolds around you. Learn something new everyday whether you are reading about business, about love or science, or about philosophy because knowledge will expand your mind and make your life richer. Be open to everything in this world even if sometimes it feels uncomfortable or even painful; because then you can grow from that experience as well. Aspiration is what you want, not what you have and certainly not where you are. It's a spark that makes us strive to be better, make us reach higher than we thought possible. It's not always easy and there will always be people who doubt our ability to make it happen. But that's when we strengthen our resolve and fight even harder for the life we imagine for ourselves. Aspire to be different. To truly be great, we must dream boldly and live with purpose. Aspire to be different by going after the things that matter most and keeping an eye on the horizon. Whoever tells you that success comes easily is lying to you. You have to do the work to see results, because nothing worth having ever comes easy. Aspire to be different. Everyone in the world is different. Some people are tall, some are short. Some are happy, others are sad. Some are introverts, others are extroverts. And so on. But despite this variation, it’s often become a common tendency to focus on similarities (i.e., to “fit in”). This can be seen in things like fashion, where people try to dress like the people around them, or in academia where students try to find “common ground” with their classmates. However, despite our many commonalities, the differences that make us unique—these are what propel us forward. Go ahead and be different After all, it is those who aspire to be different that drive the world forward. It’s the dreamers that dream up new ideas. It’s the rebels that rebel against tradition. Being different is great. Aspiration is the feeling that drives you to be better and better, no matter how good you already are It’s a feeling that can not be forced. It just comes naturally. We all want to be different, as individuals, but it's hard to break away from society's mold and yearn for something more. This change happens through recognizing our worth and acting on it. We don't have to look like anyone else, or have something that others have, or be like everyone else. We don't have to follow the masses. We can be different. Society has a way of showing us that if we don't look a certain way or follow their rules that we are not worth anything, but they're wrong. True confidence comes from knowing who you are, not what you wear. True confidence comes from who you love and how you live your life. True confidence has no color; it is how you see the world. Being different is not something we chose--it is who we are and why should be celebrated.

Life is not a bed of 🌹Roses March 30th, 2022. I returned from work yesterday, walked into to my room and was looking at the mirror. People would say that life is a bed of roses, but I know that at times things are not always the way we want it to be. So much has been said about life being a bed of roses, where you just lie there and sleep peacefully, this is not true. Life would always be accompanied by both the ups and downs in life. Life is not a bed of roses, there would always be ups as well as downs, that's why you have to prepare for the worst, or let me rephrase that, always be happy, because it is guaranteed that you would experience both. When it comes about making plans for the future, you have to first prepare for the worst, so that you would not be caught off guard when things do not go according to your plan. You will never know what the future holds for you, and if you prepare for the worst and things still does not turns out as intended, it's still alright, because what's done is already done. When you know that there will be ups and downs in life, you can better prepare yourself for it. There are no two ways about it because those two things are inevitable and you cannot just choose on which one to experience. But when you know how to deal with these two things, you will find out that life is really not that hard after all. Reality is not always as we expect it to be. That is why many people have some problems in life. Some of them can not adjust with the situation and make their life miserable. For example, a person in love may have been rejected by the one he or she loves, or a successful student can get bad grades on his final exams. **Do not expect things to always be the way you want it (though I'm not disputing or against the part of you having faith)**, because life is not a bed of roses, there would always be ups as well as downs. If you are going to have good things in life, then you have to work hard for it. **Here's an advice to you, always plan ahead. You may not be able to do everything, but it is a start if you do something. At least you will have the sense of achievement even if your goal is far away.** Life is not as sweet as it seems when you’re on top of the world. And at times, it can be really bad when you’re at the bottom of the pit – when you have nothing but debts and your spouse leaves you for an ex-lover. Life surely is not a bed of roses for anyone. There will always be ups and downs and it is up to us to make sure that we take what we need from life, whether monetarily or in terms of our well being. After all, life is not just about getting up on the wrong side of the bed all day long. Life also gives us experiences, so enjoy it and learn from it. When you face troubles, don't give up and say this is my last day at once. There will be more opportunities for you in the future if you are still positive with whatever it is that you are facing. Learn from your mistakes, and let the troubles in your life make you stronger instead of weaker. You need to be strong enough to accept it and have a plan to overcome the challenges you are going through. Take note that where there is light, there would still be darkness. Challenges would never be avoided, but we can still overcome it by learning how to stand back up after every fall and keep moving forward towards our goals. Once you are able to do that, you can say that you are truly living life to the fullest. Life is not always as sweet as it might seem. There’s an old saying that says, “If life was fair, everyone would have a million dollars, living in a big house with a pool and a chicken in every pot.” And that’s usually how we think life to be. But, in reality, life isn’t always that great. **Special Thanks** Thanks to everyone that wished me well on my birthday. God bless you all. May we all be celebrated.

I have a lot of friends, who wants me to have birthday fun. And the day started with a surprise from my fiance, he really surprised me. I seriously want to celebrate him, for being my partner in crime and life. I want to celebrate all my loved ones and friends, for bringing a lifetime of love and support that have shaped me into who I am today. I want to celebrate you, my read ash community, for being a place of love, compassion, and acceptance that welcomes everyone. I want to celebrate you, my friends out there who are looking to make the world a better place because you believe in a world where everyone is treated with love, respect and dignity. Some of them came to my birthday as a guest and others wish me a happy birthday through my Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, birthday wall post and through my phone call. There was a lot to eat and drink and I'm grateful to God for all. They are all my special friends indeed. They will never make me forget this moment. @HappyBoy @adereign @LadyTee @OkanlaDavid. Thank you all. But what I can do at this moment is to be grateful to God for bringing me across wonderful set of people, at home, office, online, most importantly my **BCH NAIJA families**, I had fun all through the day. @King_Gozie @Abhay @Princessbusayo @Strangeverest @olawalium @Tomi-Ajax @Gaftekloriginal @Deborah-Dorcas @Dorcas102 @Amazing-grace @Bilqees Sir @Fexonice1 @Olamide371 @Jumper-01 @Ebizz @FashTioluwa @MichaelBCH @George_Dee @Yourstruly17 @Balikis Then I will always remember that God has given me more than enough. And then there are also people who has so little but they are still happy while they live their life everyday. It makes me think of the less privileged people and how lucky I am to be alive, healthy and blossoming because I don’t need to worry about how I can eat. I hope we will always have cause to celebrate together no matter what happens in life, we would stay together and encourage each other, because there will come a time in our life that we need to share our happiness also when there comes a time that we need to share our sadness. I don't know if I will ever been able to tell you thank you for everything you’ve done for me. But until then I will always remember how you all celebrated my birthday. Love you all.

My Birthday Eve March 27th, 2022. Happy Mothering Sunday. It's my birthday tomorrow and I'm feeling on top of the world. Another 365 days gone and it was another 365 days of growth. As always I want to say thank you for being a part of my journey. I'm truly grateful for all your support, whether you've helped me grow by subscribing, sponsoring, upvoting or simply been a friend as I've navigated through some struggles and growth. I want to start this next year off right! I'm one year closer into all my goals, one year older and one year wiser. My life is heading towards some amazing things and im more than excited to see where this life takes me. Thank you for all your support, love and friendship. My family, friends(off and on readcash), I am so unbelievably grateful to share yet another year on this beautiful planet earth together. We have a lot to be thankful for and I'm really happy with where I am in life right now. I'm going all out in every aspect, (healthy eating, meditating and more matured) to ensure that I continue to grow too as an individual and invest in myself to ensure life is a full circle of enjoyment. We often take time out to acknowledge what we don't have or what we dislike, but how often do we take the time to acknowledge the things we DO have or love? I want to personally thank God for all the birthdays He has given me so far, and even for the fact that I can share my gratitude for all that I've been blessed with. But now, as my new level birthday is fast on It's way, I’ve decided It's high time I showed appreciation to all the people in my life. I started the journey with this platform readcash, with the help and support of my brother @Happyboy. What began as a bond created over some hard-to-find soccer jerseys has grown into something truly special. I realized that Siddharth was the reason I hadn’t been saying “happy birthday” to people on their birthdays. I had too many friends to keep track of, and being so preoccupied with juggling my friendships, I lost track of birthdays. The following year, however, Siddharth reminded me on his birthday that I needed to be better about acknowledging birthdays. So, we made a pact: I would say “happy birthday” every day, until it became second nature. Ultimately, its not about remembering the number of years (or birthdays) someone has been alive; its about showing appreciation for that person’s life in the moment it actually happens – when they come into this world and when they go out. Tomorrow the clocks will turn over and I will instantly be another year older. I live in a world of early mornings, late nights and meetings that run through to the early hours - but no matter where I am, or what I'm doing, I always make time to say Happy Birthday to the WORLD BEST LADY. Heya! Thanks for taking the time to read this. I'm in a great place right now and not because I need a pat on the back, but because it's what it feels like to be alive. I believe I'm doing better work than ever before. I'm excited about it, but if you ask me about it tomorrow, my feeling might be different. It's just what it feels like to put something into the void and have absolutely no control or input on how people receive it. It's terrifying but thrilling at the same time. In short, I'm grateful for everything I can possibly be grateful for. My family, friends, health, home and all the opportunities that have come my way this year (and year's past). I understand being grateful for your health might not sound that exiting, but that's what my life comes down to - how am I feeling at this moment? And damnit, right now, I'm feeling pretty damn good. Tomorrow is the D-day, my birthday. And I’m thankful. I’m especially thankful for the constant support I receive from you all. Love you all. Happy Mothers Day to me and Happy Birthday in advance to me as well.

Siblings Rivalry **March 26th, 2022.** I have all seen sibling rivalry in one form or another. What are the causes of sibling rivalry? Why do siblings fight? And how do we settle rivalry between siblings? Sibling rivalry is an emotional feud between siblings. Siblings may compete for love, attention, and other rewards associated with living within a family system. Rivalry can also arise from competition for scarce resources like parental time, love, and money. One of the most common causes of rivalry between siblings is competition for the parents' attention. Adolescents may feel neglected by their parents and then react with rebellion, anger and jealousy in response to their siblings. **The best way to settle rivalry between siblings is through communication.** If a problem arises, have a talk with your children and encourage them to find a solution together. You could also involve your children in activities that interest each of them. **The second best way to settle sibling rivalry is to enforce rules.** One of my friends applied this method when she had two boys who were constantly fighting. She made a rule that if they fought fiercely, the one who started should apologize to the other and make a peace offering. **In addition, the sibling relationship can be improved by giving each child space and freedom to develop their hobbies and interests.** Consequently, if you wish to prevent sibling rivalry, give each child enough attention and allow them to develop their own interests apart from one another. Psychology experts say that rivalry between siblings begins from a young age; even from the womb. It may be due to lack of attention from the parents, so a child assumes that the parents love them less because they are being favored. On the other hand, some experts say that rivalry is caused by different personalities of siblings. Rebel baby and a calm baby will always fall into arguments over everything. Also, there are times when siblings become rivals due to jealousy. Children who have the same toys, clothes, and attention are most likely to fall into rivalry. Sibling rivalry is a common occurrence in a family. In most cases, however, they grow to be close, loving siblings. You may think that rivalry is something that is created by parents. The truth is, rivalry is not entirely caused by parenting styles. The main cause for sibling rivalry is actually the competition for parental attention. When siblings argue and fight with each other, it's important to teach children how to handle these conflicts in constructive ways. Sibling rivalry can be depicted in a variety of works: Our war-cries may be identical, but somewhere along the line, our paths diverged. Sibling rivalry is a universal phenomenon, at least in our experience with our two sons. It seems to be a natural part of growing up and the dynamics of family life. In many ways, it follows the familiar "follow the leader" rule; if one child gets something new, the other will want it too, even if it's not needed or wanted. Having some competition is a good thing. It keeps you honest, it pushes you to try harder and to stay on your toes. Competition is what drives innovation. However, when it comes to your siblings, it can be a bit much at times. But it’s all in good fun right? Sure, but sometimes you just have to cut your brother or sister some slack because they do have a big impact on you. And if one child has a great grade on his or her report card, well then, the other child needs to do better. Young children seem to know instinctively that competition is at the root of sibling rivalry. The best way to deal with sibling rivalry is to talk about it. Use an "I" instead of a "you" when talking about what's going on with your children. For example, instead of saying, "You're being silly," say, "I feel silly when you do that." Instead of saying, "You are trying to make me look bad," say, "I feel bad when you do that." Sibling rivalry is often based on feelings of inadequacy. So it's important to praise and affirm your children as much as possible-and not just when they win or get rewarded. Appreciate them every day. 2 days to go March 25th, 2022. **All I think about these days is my birthday. Its 2-days and some hours to it.** Planning - So, I have a confession to make, I love planning but get easily frustrated at times when the plans are getting down slowly. Yes, that’s right. I’m an adult. And I still suck at making plans. I’m sure there are other people who feel the same way too, it’s just not socially accepted to admit it. I started planning my birthday party at the beginning of the year. Hoping that I'll be perfectly ready by March 28th. I was planning it by saving a particular amount daily specifically for the birthday. Everything was going just as planned until last week which is some days before my party, an unforseen circumstance had me selling off all my birthday savings. Well, my day will come and I'm ready to have fun because I would not allow anything or anyone kill my joy. Though I might not be able to carry on with the plans I have for my friends, it's not like a big thing I had planned on, but they are still awesome plans. Since I was a little girl, I loved making plans; I still have the notes I use when I was eight years old to plan my future, but the more I grow the more I stopped documenting things. When I was a kid in school, I would spend a lot of time planning this and that. Today, things are so different. I use my phone to plan things, to organize my life and my time. I’m not sure how many of you are like me, but as much as I love planning, I get so tired and angry at times. I plan my days, weeks, months... okay, I plan everything. I plan when I am going to see my friends and family. Planning is in my blood and even though it may seem stressful, there is nothing more satisfying than checking off an item from the list. Which makes me hate it when my plans don't work. The thing about planning is that it's boring. There are so many apps and websites out there that make it so easy to create plans and check them off as time goes on. Not only that, but it's almost necessary in today’s world with so much chaos going on, for everyone to learn how to make plans. But every once in a while, there are those moments where things don’t go according to plan. Those moments where you have to be emotionally tough, where you have to do whats best for you and your family. I recently realized that the times that are most important shouldn’t be planned out, they should be spontaneous. When I want to make plans, I want to make them and stick with them. I don’t want anything to go wrong. When something does go wrong in the process of making plans, it gets me upset. It drives me crazy because I can’t just live with the mistake and forget about it. I start getting anxious, I have to redo my plans and make sure that everything goes as planned. So I had this really cute couple over to my parent's place for dinner on a weekend, since my dad and mum were in church for a program, I was the one who entertained them. They had come pretty late but it was no problem to me, I thought to myself, after a few drinks we started talking and we got on the topic of relationships and how long it took each one of them to plan the proposal. I was so fascinated by how special the couples plans were, some things they needed were planned for months and other were planned for just days. **With their story I felt so happy for them and thought about when that day will come for me.** After they were gone, I was organizing the place, when it dawned on me that to have an accurate planning, you need to be free-spirited when making plans. Okay, so let's say you have your weekend/birthday/wedding planned out and you’re approaching a decision point and you have to make a plan. You could turn around and go back home, or you can push forward, which will take 20 minutes longer to reach your intended destination. What will you do?

@QueenRaay

Keep Moving **March 24th, 2022.** Let's face it. One of the most important things we need to embrace in life is progress. **Embrace Progress.** Money, relationships, wealth, health, relationships, everything in life needs to move forward. If you fall behind, forget about it. Never make excuses as to why you cant move any more. Never let anyone hold you back from doing anything you want in life, never settle for less than what you deserve. Life is too short, and there's so much adventure and fun out there waiting for you.. Let the train take the strain. Full steam ahead. Keep moving. In life we have many moments that define who we are, moments that can be described as defining… or defining moments (which sounds odd). A defining moment for me was the moment I decided to move to Ibadan, Nigeria to further my studies. The decision to leave all that is familiar behind, to give up the comforts of home and to come out here and start over was a hard one, but one I knew I had to do. As they say the best way to deal with change is to embrace it and thats what I did, I embraced it! Moving to Ibadan was one of the hardest things I had ever done. For three days straight, my body was in an airplane, traveling across an ocean. I loved every minute of it. There's something about being in continual movement that makes you feel like you're moving forward in life, which is exactly what I felt like at that time; a progressive person moving forward in life—it gives you momentum. My personal definition of momentum is the single most important ingredient that separates successful people from unsuccessful ones. **Keep moving** - If there's any need for you to embrace anything in life, then it should be progress, you need to keep progressing. Moving forward is very important in life, it is how we get places, it is how we stay healthy and it is also how we stay motivated. You can't be what you want to be if you're sitting still. It's hard, and sometimes scary, to start something new but there's nothing more rewarding than seeing what can happen when you do. We have to move on. We have to keep moving too. That's the only way we can stay ahead of the game. This is how culture works, and that should include technology too. We need to keep pushing forward and not be static. **I hear a lot of people complain about not seeing progress in their careers, their relationships, and even themselves.** I feel like the reason for this is that we get stuck in a pattern of doing the same old things over and over again. We get comfortable and we fall into old patterns and that limits our growth, our ability to change and to influence positive change. So, be open to change, be open to trying new things, and most importantly be open to creating change Keep moving. If there's any need for you to embrace anything in life, then it should be progress - you need to keep progressing. And I don't mean only progress in your career, or progress within your business, I mean progress even more personally. You need to move forward and make sure that you're always growing and developing as a human being outside of your business, too. If you want to feel fulfilled and really enjoy what you do, you need to keep moving forward. The world can always use more hardworking, smart and resilient people. A world that is full of people that aren't scared to try new things, adapt quickly and continuously improve. If you go back and think about the very first steps you made into improving yourself, you might remember starting with a simple goal. Thats where we get it. Life is full of goals, but moving too fast means we can go past them so fast it feels like they never existed. We need to keep moving.

Making Demands March 22nd, 2022. `My topic for today is a very sensitive one and we all might have differnt perspective about it and here's mine, I just hope I won't sound too ask-y(if there's ever a word like that).` **Is it good to make demands from your spouse?** Like, let's say I need a particular favour, and fine, I know my spouse(be it male or female) might not have it, but I expect him/her to go extra miles to ensure I get it. Is it good to make demands from your spouse? To me, I think it is! In the beginning of your relationship, you worked on getting what you wanted from your partner. You may have compromised on some things, but overall you got what you wanted. Life with them should be the same. We might get more of what we want at the beginning, but over time we have to learn how to get our needs met. When we are single, we learn how to balance getting what we want with being easy on others. We learn how to be sensitive to other people’s needs and not just our own. It’s a pretty good skill. Unless we are using that skill against ourselves! We get used to being sensitive to others’ needs and then we actually start to develop a sense of guilt when we think about making demands on our own spouse. We don’t want them to feel bad, so we don’t make demands on them. But by doing this, we are limiting the options of how they can help us to get what we want. **It is good to make demands from your spouse, but it depends on the kind of demands.** Good demands are ones for things that are worth it. Things that will bring you both joy or help life run more smoothly. Thanks to my sponsors, subscribers and upvoters.God bless you all. The best demands are ones that both of you can make together. For example, before you have children, you both decide that you want to raise them in a certain way. You make those demands together, and then you can get started on achieving your goals. **It’s a trick question because the answer is yes. It’s good to make demands from your spouse. We are wired to create, to invent, to push boundaries, to re-imagine.** Yes, it is who we are. To overcome fear and doubt, we must be brave enough to say yes. We must be satisfied with nothing less than yes. We have to say yes to making demands at times not just for ourselves but for those around us. But this is not just about saying yes to ourselves and others, it is also about saying no to things that are holding us back. Imagine what our lives could look like if we weren’t bound by fear and doubt? How much more could we do if we were free of self-inflicted limitations? **How much more could we love if we weren’t afraid of rejection? Rejections after making demands.** I know it’s hard to imagine but you can do it, right now…. It all goes back to saying yes to making demands. It makes us great. It makes us want to take on more and more and more. It makes us brave and strong and daring. It gives us the courage to do what we didn’t think was possible before. It makes us brave and strong and daring. **Though many people take this for granted and might make unnecessary demands.** Many would insist on having what they know their spouse cannot afford knowing fully well about thir capacities, I would say that is very wrong and in this case making demands might go wrong as the said party might end up getting depressed or even commit an unnecessary mistake that might be harmful to their relationship. No one said that making demands will be easy, both to the person making demands and the other partner, but we can make it better. Making demands gives us the courage to do what we didn’t think was possible before. That is why it’s good to make demands from your spouse – whether he or she knows it or not – because being your best self is a yes that you can give every day of your life. **#6days to my birthday 🎂🥳🎉🎈🎁🎊🎂**

Too late forever March 21st, 2022 Okay there's the story of TWO FISHES that I read and decided to write on, while the two fishes were swimming, they saw a piece of meat dangling before them 🐟🐠. The smaller fish moved towards the meat with an open mouth ready to pounce on it. The older fish cried out to the younger one, Stop!✋ "You can not see it, but there is a hook placed inside that meat. It is connected by an invisible line to a pole outside the water. There is a man holding the pole" "THE TRUTH of the matter is that, if you eat the meat, the hook will catch you in your jaw and the man will pull you out of the water. He will then cut you open with a knife, roast you with fire and then eat you. Then he will throw your remains to his cat.” The small fish stopped for a while to think about what it heard. The two fishes swam away. But when the small fish was alone on it's own, he thought to himself; “Let me make findings about the truth myself in order to see how accurate these lousy claims are" He went back to where they saw the meat, swam around it, above and below it. He swam as far as he could in widening circles around the meat. After he had searched all around, he said to himself, “I’ve looked far and wide, and I haven’t noticed or seen any sign of a man, a pole, a knife, a fire or a cat. In fact, I’ve found nothing outside this water we live in" I have come to realise my truth. "All these must just be stories made up to limit our freedoms". They do not want us to go beyond this level. He went back to the meat and ate it. Thanks 😊🙏😊🙏😊🙏😊🙏😊🙏😊 The hook caught in his jaw, he felt himself being yanked out of the water. For sure He saw a pole, a man and a knife, and a little further, he saw the man's cat sleeping in a shade, but at that point his knowledge of THE TRUTH was useless. It is exactly the story of the Great Mysteries. Some mysteries are beyond our comprehension. We now don't see Satan, Angels, Jesus or His Judgement seat, NO, we don't see the eternal fire of hell at all, but of course we will realize all along that it was THE TRUTH vs our truth, and that will be only when death eventually strikes. But Alas! Too late forever. To see that some things are too late to rectify it will be a great problem. Some mysteries are better left so as not to go wrong. The mystery of the rising sun, the beauty of the rich autumn, the moonlight is full, the lonely night. The life of the vicissitudes and sorrows, there is no escape. When regret is gone forever, only the journey is long. Be careful of your life, cherish your family, cherish love, care for yourself, cherish health, and do not make fun of everything in life. When you're too late one day, feel sad and still think about it forever. Too late forever - When some things get too late, to rectify it will be a great problem. Some mysteries are better left so as not to go wrong. If you can remember that the world is too late, We'll give you some methods to alleviate the distress 1. Meditate to the world is late 2. Find a place where it is too late But what's up if you're too late? The answer is simple: TOO LATE Are you too late? You again missed the bus? The seat sold out? No matter how much you cry no one will help you? I think these words can describe how much time and effort you have spent on something but got it in vain, and finally it was too late. Too late forever - When some things get too late, to rectify it will be a great problem. Some mysteries are better left so as not to go wrong. Do not forget that: What is done does not need to be done again. If today is too late, tomorrow will never come. Do not always be busy tomorrow, do something today . Sometimes things that have been delayed for a long time will never be completed.

Food for Thought March 20th, 2022 `When you consistently yield to temptations, you diminish your ability and capacity to resist it.` This is exactly how I felt about a particular habit I had. I was too weak to resist it. I was always doing it, no matter what. It made me do things I wouldnt ordinarily do. It caused me to lose good opportunities. It caused me to fail on my promises to myself and others. It caused me to blame others for my failures. It caused me to be inconsistent in my walk with God. It caused me to not take proper care of myself. It caused me to turn against the people who loved and cared for me the most. It even affected my relationship with others. But the temptation kept coming, time and time again, until one day it hit me: "When you consistently yield to temptations, you diminish your ability and capacity to resist it." Special thanks to my sponsors for their support always ❤💕💖 The other day I made a pretty standard purchase. It was at a place I frequent a couple times a week and the food there is pretty tasty. Despite its deliciousness, the pricing is reasonable and the service is attentive (which surprisingly is not the most common). But what really brought me there this time, was the smell. As soon as I walked in the door, I remembered why I loved it so much. My senses were firing on all cylinders and in a matter of seconds, my brain established a new craving. This may seem like an ordinary situation but nope, this had happened to me before and I was familiar with the feeling. However, that familiarity was not something I was proud of. It was more like a scar that represented all the mental issues that would come with recovery. That smell and visual stimulation consumed my thoughts and left me powerless to resist. I must confess, I am an addict. I have been addicted to junk food since I was a kid. When I say "junk" food, I mean basically anything that is not good for me. Junk food has its place in your diet, but only in small amounts, and never more than once a week. This is why it's called "junk" food. But when you yield to this temptation too often, you diminish your ability and capacity to resist it. The problem is, you usually don't know you are already addicted until your addiction has already taken you out. So when you know you are addicted, how can you overcome it? That's the part that might seem difficult for an addict. Just try to analyze what the addiction is based on, and see if there is a way to fix it. ***#Foodforthought*** ***#writersblock*** ***#dontknowwhattowriteon***

Unleash the power March 17th, 2022. **Unleash the power in you.** You were born with a gift of power. No one can take it away from you. But all too often, we don't know how to harness it and make the most of it. If you ask me, I’ll tell you that the only thing that can hold you back is yourself. Everything you have ever wanted, anything you have ever dreamed of has been within you. Want to be an astronaut? You can be an astronaut. Want to the be the next great entrepreneur? You can be the next great entrepreneur. Want to change the world? You can change the world. There’s nothing that anyone can do to take away your power. All you have to do is realize you have it and then use it. I'm wruting this to tell someone that you are not a victim and I'm also telling you that you have the power to make positive changes in your life and the lives of others. I'm telling you that there is more good in the world than bad, more opportunities than obstacles, more successes than set backs, and more people waiting to help than hurt. Clarify what it is that you really want because many times we don't know what it is we really want or why we want it. We just know that something feels "off" and we don't have a clear vision for what is "right". So much of self-doubt and limitation comes from a place of not feeling powerful. You've been told your whole life that you aren't good enough or you don't deserve the best, or that you can't achieve something because you don't have the right connections. **Why should you unleash this power?** Unleash it to add zest to your daily routines. Unleash it to make every moment count. Unleash it to inspire others. Unleash it to defend what matters most. Unleash it to change your world. Unleash the power within you. There's a lot of talk about "powering up" and "unlocking your inner power" and stuff like that. But what does it mean? What is the power in question? What can we do with it? When it comes to power I think it's important to start by defining your terms. When we talk about unleashing our power, it's not about leaning into a good vs evil battle. It's not about waving a magic wand and magically achieving something great (though anything is possible, I suppose). It's not about living in the shadows and facing down your demons. It's not really even about taking charge of your life. You could call it that, but you'd be missing the point. **Yes you can and should unleash the power** **How?** Think different. Expect your problems to be solved. Celebrate your wins. Deliver on what you promise. Give back. Tell someone they matter. Find the strength within you. Find your courage within you. Be willing to let go of the things that don’t matter. Be willing to take action in the face of uncertainty. Be open to new opportunities and new adventures. Be willing to make big decisions that will impact your future, your family’s future, and the future of society as a whole. Unleash the power within you. By exploring a new city. By taking up a new hobby. By volunteering. By doing something that makes you uncomfortable and then learning from it. I want you to start by believing in yourself. Believing that you can succeed. Believing that you can achieve your dreams. I believe that you can accomplish anything. You’re the captain of your own ship, captain of your life, captain of your destiny. And I'd want us all to lead with a thoughtful, empowered voice — a voice that commands attention and inspires action. One that respects others and is confident in itself. #Happy birthday 🎂🥳🎉🎈🎁🎊@King_Gozie, enjoy your day to the fullest.

My weird might not be your wierd March 14th, 2022. **Got invited to someone's place for dinner and they charged me for it. This is weird right?** I don't know about the culture of other countries, or let ne even say other people's belief, but for me, its VERY AWKWARD. Okay, so today I got invited to my best friend's place for dinner. She said she wants to mark/celebrate my birthday in advance, since she got a scholarship and would be traveling out of the country by next week. My birthday is 28th, so she felt the need to celebrate me before the D-day. I was happy at her thoughtfulness. But on getting to her apartment, I got the shocker of my life. While I was about leaving home, I took a wine along, in order not to go empty handed and to show that I appreciated her efforts, she collected it and while we were seated at the dining to eat, she threw the bomb. To my surprise, she charged me USD $20, which is about 10,000naira(Nigerian currency) to eat at her house. When I asked her why she was charging me, she said that it was because things were now expensive and that she had to do something to make ends meet and have enough to hold her till she travels out of the country. I was shocked by how expensive things could be to the extent of her charging me for inviting me over. I left without paying but transferred 8000naira(16$) to her after which I sent her an email telling her that I didn't think it was right to charge guests to your house, particularly when you were the one that invited them yourself. And that next time she should tell the person to come with cash if she knows they have to pay. **What would you have done if it were you?** **How would you have reacted if you had been at this dinner party? Would you have challenged her? What would you have said when she asked for payment at the end of the night?** On the other hand; People often don't like talking about money. We are all guilty of it. Let's say a family member asks you to come over for dinner and you're really excited to go until they tell you that they will be charging you or have a suggestion of what to bring. You make a face and say, 'I can't afford it' even though you totally can afford it. Up until recently I wasn't comfortable with receiving cash gifts from friends whenever I visited them, I'd rather give them. Cash gifts are supposed to be fun, not make people feel bad. Think about this; So, you've invited friends over for dinner. You've got the table set and the food ready. It's a nice evening, you go out to the garden to call your friends inside and to your surprise they say; "Don't worry about it. It was nice of you to invite us, but we have decided to pay." **What would you have done? You've got a few options – Go ahead and let them pay, make them pay or both.** Paying for dinner is a thorny topic for many people in relationships. It is difficult for me because I don't like to be indebted to anyone, though I do like to give gifts. However, I love being invited by friends and family. I love being taken care of by the people I love. This is quite different from you inviting me over for dinner and later demanding that I pay without prior notice. Many couples want to take care of each other financially but one or both would rather not be in debt to the other. *I don't know if we all have the same perception of what an invitation means, but I consider it a request to join. If you invite me to dinner and I pay, that means you had a benefit in financial terms: you could buy more food or something. If you invite me, it's because you want me there. We have a concept of moral obligation that can not be imposed by mere words. It is impossible to demand money from someone you invited for dinner in my own view.*

True test of Character March 13th, 2022. `You can't judge people only by how they treat you. The true test of character is how they treat those they don't like or need.` `Even is someone is nice to you, proceed with caution if they are consistently unkind to others.` `Selective civility is a sign of deep-seated hostility.` `- Anonymous` Life is a daily test of character. The people you interact with every day are the ones who will shape your experience and help you grow. They are also the ones who will hurt you the most when they don't treat you well. **"Life isn't easy, and neither is comfort."** We are all guilty of mistreating or judging others sometimes, but we all make an effort to be kinder and treat others with respect. If you're going to treat people with respect, though, you should expect that same treatment in return. **A true test of character is how we treat those we don't like or need.** People will always be thirsty for validation and our behaviour is driven by the need to be seen in a certain light. However, today's reality shows us how this thirst can affect us, forcing us to make decisions that aren't necessarily in our best interest. The problem is that our feelings are often based on momentary experiences instead of long-term outcomes. Once something negative or positive happens we feel a rush of emotion, which motivates us to behave in ways that aren't always the best for us. This can play out in all aspects of life, from business to relationships. A big shoutout to y'all, thank you. **People will always let you down. You learn to expect that. There's no one you can totally trust because everyone has an agenda of their own.** It's when you screw yourself over that it hurts the most. You start to feel like there's something wrong with you, that you're incapable of telling what's true or who to trust. The thing is, if you start to expect others to screw you over, it doesn't hurt as much when it happens anymore. It doesn't mean that you're not disappointed anymore, but at least hurt feelings don't kill you from the inside. `Only when we lift each other up, not tear each other down, will we experience the full power of community.` `- Oprah Winfrey` **Here are some tips to help you determine if a person has a character worth your time and energy.** 1. See how they treat people they don't like or need. 2. See how they treat people who aren't like them. 3. See how they treat those they're supposed to take care of. 4. See how they treat the people who seem to have no value to them (like the homeless, etc.). 5. See how they treat their enemies (if they have any). 6. See how long someone can go without lying about anything or anyone (including themselves). 7. See how long it takes for them to apologize. 8. See what happens after things go wrong, particularly when no one is looking. 9. See what they choose when they are given several things simultaneously (and thus must choose). 10. See how they react when someone has done something good for them that requires no expectation of something in return.
